Definitions
- the present invention relates to a cooking device comprising a washing system with a discharge line.
- the cooking process is generally performed by operating the heaters and the fan in the cooking cavity at the same time.
- the hot air heated by the heaters disposed on the ceiling, the base or the rear wall of the cooking cavity is distributed into the cooking cavity by means of the fan.
- particles like splattered oil adhere to inner walls of the oven and cleaning the dirt becomes difficult when the oven is used several times without cleaning.
- the most commonly used self cleaning method is the pyrolytic cleaning method but alternative methods have been devised due to safety concerns.
- One of the methods used for cleaning the cooking cavity is the washing systems wherein the washing water supplied from outside is sent towards the surfaces of the cooking cavity to remove the residues on the surfaces of the cooking cavity.
- the food residues that accumulate in the washing water used in the cleaning process result in the clogging of the discharge assembly during the discharge of the washing water from the oven.
- the overflow that occurs due to the clogging damages the components of the oven.
- a washing system comprising a spray arm that enables the washing water to be distributed in the cooking cavity.
- the aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooking device comprising a washing system with improved safety.
- the cooking device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claims and the respective claims thereof comprises a body; a cooking cavity that is arranged in the body and wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a casing in the form of a box with an open front side that surrounds the cooking cavity; a washing system that is arranged on the casing and that enables the water received from the mains to be delivered into the cooking cavity; a control unit that enables the washing system to be controlled; a discharge hole that is provided at the base of the cooking cavity and that enables the water that accumulates in the cooking cavity to be discharged; a discharge receptacle that is arranged on the casing and wherein the water that is discharged through the discharge hole is collected; a first discharge line with one end connected to the discharge receptacle and the other end to the mains line, and a first discharge pump that is arranged on the first discharge line.
- the cooking device of the present invention comprises a level detection means that is provided in the discharge receptacle and that enables the level of the water in the discharge receptacle to be detected, and the control unit that enables the first discharge pump to be controlled based on the data received from the level detection means.
- the level detection means enables the first discharge pump to be activated as the discharge receptacle starts to be filled and thus, prevents the discharge receptacle from overflowing. Furthermore, by operating the first discharge pump based on the data received from the level detection means, the first discharge pump is prevented from being operated when the discharge receptacle is empty.
- the control unit enables the washing system to be controlled based on the data received from the level detection means.
- the control unit stops the washing system and thus, the delivery of water from the cooking cavity to the discharge receptacle is terminated.
- the control unit detects that there is a malfunctioning in the discharge assembly due to the first discharge pump failure or the clogging of the first discharge line.
- the cooking device comprises a second discharge pump that is arranged on the discharge receptacle and that is connected to the discharge receptacle at one end and to the first discharge line at the other end, and the control unit that enables the second discharge pump to be controlled based on the data received from the level detection means.
- the control unit enables the water to be discharged from the discharge receptacle by activating the second discharge pump.
- the control unit detects that there is a failure in the first discharge pump if the level of the water decreases after the second discharge pump is activated.
- the cooking device comprises a shutter arranged on the base of the discharge receptacle, and a second discharge line that is connected to the shutter at one end and to the first discharge line at the other end.
- the control unit detects that there is a failure in the first discharge line if the level of the water decreases after the shutter is opened.
- the cooking device comprises a cover that is arranged on the body, and a drain line that is connected to the discharge receptacle at one end and the cover at the other end.
- the cover positioned on the front side of the body so as to be easily accessible by the user enables the user to empty the discharge receptacle manually by means of the drain line.
- the water in the discharge receptacle is enabled to be emptied.
- the level detection means comprises a duct arranged on the ceiling of the discharge receptacle and a buoy that is movably disposed into the duct. The buoy is moved by means of the water that accumulates in the discharge receptacle, and thus, the level detection means detects the amount of water in the discharge receptacle.
- the cooking device comprises the control unit that enables the user to be warned by means of the visual and/or audio warning system based on the data received from the level detection means.
- a cooking device is realized, wherein the washing system is enabled to be operated safely.
- Figure 1 - is the schematic view of the cooking device.
- Figure 2- is the perspective view of the discharge receptacle in an embodiment of the present invention.
- Figure 3 - is the schematic view of the discharge receptacle in an embodiment of the present invention.
- Figure 4 - is the perspective view of the discharge receptacle in an embodiment of the present invention.
- the cooking device (1) comprises a body (2); a cooking cavity (3) that is arranged in the body (2) and wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a casing (4) in the form of a box with an open front side that surrounds the cooking cavity (3); a washing system (5) that is arranged on the casing (4) and that enables the water received from the mains line (S) to be delivered into the cooking cavity (3); a control unit (6) that enables the washing system (5) to be controlled; a discharge hole (7) that is provided at the base of the cooking cavity (3) and that enables the water that accumulates in the cooking cavity (3) to be discharged; a discharge receptacle (8) that is arranged on the casing (4) and wherein the water that is discharged through the discharge hole (7) is collected; a first discharge line (9) with one end connected to the discharge receptacle (8) and the other end to the mains line (S), and a first discharge pump (10) that is arranged on the first discharge line (9) ( Figure 1).
- the cooking device (1) of the present invention comprises
- a level detection means (11) that is provided in the discharge receptacle (8) and that enables the level of the water in the discharge receptacle (8) to be detected
- control unit (6) that enables the first discharge pump (10) to be controlled based on the data received from the level detection means (11).
- the control unit (6) sends the water received from outside the cooking device (1) by means of the washing system (5) into the cooking cavity (3) and enables the food residues accumulated on the cooking cavity (3) surfaces to be removed.
- the washing water that accumulates on the base of the cooking cavity (3) after the washing process is completed is discharged from the cooking cavity (3) by means of the discharge hole (7) provided on the base of the cooking cavity (3).
- the washing water received through the discharge hole (7) accumulates in the discharge receptacle (8) and discharged out of the cooking device (1) by means of the discharge line (9).
- the discharge line (9) gets clogged from time to time due to the food residues in the washing water and in such cases the amount of water in the discharge receptacle (8) increases.
- the level detection means (11) provided in the discharge receptacle (8) detects the level of the water in the discharge receptacle (8).
