Description

The invention relates to an urn system for burying the ashes of deceased people or pets, comprising a base plate, at least one hollow column for receiving at least two urns being arranged on the base plate, a body which is formed by a metal body being arranged in the column which is connected on the one hand to the column and on the other hand to the base plate.

According to current legal regulations, urns may only be buried or stored in approved locations. It is therefore common practice to keep urns in an accessible place in a cemetery or to bury them in the ground. According to the prior art, various urn systems are known. A majority of the urn systems are set up outdoors in a selected location in the cemetery, where these urn systems are exposed to all weather conditions and over a few years they become in need of repair or even become dilapidated due to rainwater, wind and sun due to the structure of the urn system and the materials used. In addition, state-of-the-art urn systems are very complex and expensive to produce.

The object of the invention is to provide an urn system of the type mentioned, which eliminates the disadvantages of the urn systems from the prior art. This should be achieved in a simple and cost-effective manner.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that the body of the urn system of the type mentioned at the beginning has a base frame which is directly connected to the base plate, the base frame being formed by a welded construction and a sheet metal being connected to the base frame with which the column connected is.

An advantage achieved with the invention can be seen in particular in the fact that the urn system according to the invention is very robust against weather influences simpler and cheaper construction. The robustness of the urn system is achieved in particular by the arrangement of a metal body, which connects the column to the base plate, within the hollow column.

It has proven useful that the base plate is at least partially made of natural stone. This represents a simple and long-lasting solution as natural stone is an extremely robust material for outdoor use.

At least one column is expediently arranged at the end of the base plate. In this way, further structures or decorations can be arranged on a remaining surface of the base plate.

According to the invention, the body has a base frame which is directly connected, in particular screwed, to the base plate. The base frame serves as a base for the column and also as a connecting link between the column and the base plate.

According to the invention it is provided that the base frame is formed by a welded construction, in particular by welded metal angles, preferably by welded aluminum angles. In this way, a simple and cost-effective construction of the base frame with advantageous properties with regard to corrosion is achieved.

According to the invention it is provided that a sheet metal, in particular a perforated aluminum sheet, is connected to the base frame, to which the column is subsequently connected. The column can then be easily connected to the sheet metal to achieve a stable connection between the column and the base plate.

The sheet metal is preferably approximately U-shaped in a plan view, which on the one hand results in a square or rectangular floor plan of the column in a particularly simple manner can be created. On the other hand, a high level of body rigidity can be achieved with low material requirements.

Usually, at least one further frame is provided along a longitudinal direction of the column, spaced from the base frame, to stiffen the sheet metal, on which an urn can be positioned, the base frame and at least one further frame preferably being approximately parallel. In this way, on the one hand, the sheet metal is stiffened and, on the other hand, several urns can be arranged one above the other within the column. Preferably, the at least one further frame has an opening so that any condensation can drain away.

It has been proven that the body is glued to the column. Although another form of connection between the body and the column would also be conceivable, for example screwing, an adhesive connection has proven successful in achieving a stable and at the same time visually appealing structure. The column is usually glued to the body on a sheet, in particular a perforated aluminum sheet.

For a particularly robust connection of the base frame to the base plate, it is preferably provided that the base frame has at least one, preferably four, screw holes. The body is thus connected to the base plate using a screw connection via the screw holes.

In order to achieve an advantageous robustness of the column against weathering, it can be provided that the column has natural stone elements or is formed from such. The natural stone elements are preferably made of natural stone slabs, which can be used primarily outdoors due to their high weathering resistance. The column usually consists of natural stone slabs arranged in a cuboid shape, which have a cavity to accommodate urns.

Alternatively or in addition to natural stone, other materials can also be used, such as glass or wood.

In order to achieve a simple and at the same time visually appealing structure, it is preferably provided that the column has four plates, in particular natural stone plates, glued to the body. Preferably, three plates are aligned perpendicular to the base plate, and thus form side plates of the column, and the fourth plate is aligned approximately parallel to the base plate, so that this plate forms a cover plate.

The column expediently has a closure plate, in particular a natural stone plate, which is detachably connected to the body, in particular by means of a screw connection. The locking plate is used to close the Urn system after placing the urn within the hollow column. Furthermore, the closure plate can serve as a writing plate, with an inscription being able to be easily changed later thanks to the detachable arrangement on the column, even if the inscription is engraved into the closure plate.

It has proven to be practical that the base plate has an opening at the end for an underground burial of an urn. This opening is preferably arranged at an end of the base plate opposite the column. As a result, in addition to an above-ground burial of urns in the hollow column, an underground burial can also be accomplished at the same grave site without lifting the base plate by lowering an urn into the ground through this opening.

It has proven useful to provide an end plate through which the opening can be closed. This ensures that the urn is buried underground and kept safe from unauthorized access.

Regenwasser. Fig. 1 shows a schematic and perspective representation of an urn system 1 for burying ashes of people or pets. As can be seen, the urn system 1 has a base plate 2, which can serve as a barrier to the ground and also for attaching decorative elements. Furthermore, a hollow column 3 is arranged at the end of the base plate 2, which consists of three laterally arranged side plates 9 aligned perpendicular to the base plate 2, a cover plate 13 aligned approximately parallel to the base plate 2 and two front closure plates 10, the side plates 9, the cover plate 13 and the closure plates 10 are formed here by natural stone plates. The side plates 9 and/or a bottom closure plate 10 are preferably not or at least not completely in sealing contact with the base plate 2, so that a narrow bottom gap is preferably formed. This gap allows any condensation or rainwater that may have accumulated in the interior of the column 3 to drain away.

The column 3 is designed to accommodate two urns arranged one above the other in the column 3, which can be inserted into the urn by detaching the detachably arranged front closure plates 10. After placing an urn in the column 3, the column 3 can be closed from the front using the locking plate 10. The closure plates 10 on the front serve to close the column 3 and also serve as a writing plate for engraving a name of a buried person or a pet. Two parking spaces for urns arranged inside the column 3 are separately accessible via the two closure plates 10 shown in the exemplary embodiment.

The column 3 is connected to the base plate 2 via an in Fig. 1 not visible and designed as a metal body 4 connected, which is screwed to the base plate 2. Furthermore, the front locking plates 10 are screwed to the body 4 so that they can be detached for adjusting urns and changing labels. All other natural stone plates of the column 3, i.e. the side plates 9 and the cover plate 13, are connected to the body 4 by an adhesive connection, so that no screws that impair their visual appearance are required in these plates 9.

Although in the exemplary embodiment the panels acting as cladding, i.e. the closure panels 10, the side panels 9 and the cover panel 13, are made of natural stone, cladding made of one or more other materials is of course also conceivable, for example wood, glass or the like.

In Fig. 2 a sheet metal 6, which represents part of the body 4, is shown. The sheet metal 6 is approximately U-shaped in a top view. In this way, a high level of rigidity of the metal body is ensured even when using a thin sheet 6. The sheet is usually designed as a perforated aluminum sheet.

Fig. 3a shows a base frame 5, which is composed of welded metal angles, in a top view. Four screw holes 8 can be seen, which serve to directly connect the base frame 5 and thus the column 3 to the base plate 2 via the body 4.

Fig. 3b shows a further frame 7, which can be spaced from the base frame 5 in a longitudinal direction 14 of the column 3 and arranged approximately parallel to the base frame 5. The frame 7 serves as a stiffener for the sheet metal 6 of the body 4, but also for placing another urn above a lower urn. Further, approximately identical frames 7 can be spaced apart in a longitudinal direction 14 of the column 3 and arranged approximately parallel to the base frame 5, whereby any number of urns can be stored one above the other. In order to be able to place urns safely on the frame 7 and also to enable condensation and/or rain water to drain away, an intermediate floor arranged on the frame 7, preferably a perforated plate, is provided. An approximately identical frame 7 can also be used as the top end of the body 4 of the column 3, whereupon the cover plate 13 can then be arranged as the end of the column 3.

Fig. 4 . shows an exemplary embodiment of the body 4 of the column 3, which is designed as a metal body and is composed of the sheet metal 6, the base frame 5 with screw holes 8 and two further frames 7. The function of the frame 7 is to stiffen the sheet metal 6. The middle frame 7 can can also be used to place another urn.

Fig. 5 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the urn system 1, wherein in addition to the column 3 arranged at the end, an opening 12 is arranged at an end of the base plate 2 opposite the column 3, whereby an underground burial of another urn can be carried out without prior removal of the base plate 2.

Fig. 6 zeigt ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel des Urnensystems 1. Fig. 6 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the urn system 1. In this exemplary embodiment of the urn system 1, two columns 3 are arranged at the end of the base plate 2, which can be used to bury two urns each, thus up to four urns in total. The individual columns 3 are analogous to the exemplary embodiment in Fig. 1 expanded.

Fig. 7 shows a further exemplary embodiment of an urn system 1, which is essentially the same as in Fig. 1 illustrated embodiment corresponds. In addition, in this exemplary embodiment, labels 15, with which, for example, a company that produces the urn system 1 can be pointed out, are provided on side surfaces of the cover plate 13. These labels 15 may be engraved into the cover plate 13 or otherwise attached to the cover plate 13 or another position on the urn system. For example, the labels can also be designed as signs, for example metal signs, which are glued to the cover plate 13 or screwed to the cover plate 13.

With the urn system 1 according to the invention, urns can be stored for a very long period of time, since the urn system 1 is extremely robust in that any condensation or collected rainwater that may have formed can drain away. In addition, it is possible to attach this urn system 1 to an existing personal grave, thereby enabling decoupling from the commonly used urn shelf systems. An additional opening 12 in the base plate 2 enables additional underground burial of one or more urns.
