Description

FRICTION REDUCING PROTECTIVE STRUCTURE
Object and Technical Field of the Invention
Present invention relates to a knitting arrangement enabling the comfort parameters of the textiles requiring high friction performances to be maintained in maximum level, and wherein the expected high performance characteristics are provided by the aramid- containing single layer fabric. The invention especially relates to a knitting arrangement containing aramid which is produced by the three-thread knitting method.
State of the Art
Currently, the users desire to choose clothes both being friction -resistant and keeping the freedom of movement at the high level, in the activities such as mountaineering, climbing, and motorcycling. In the textiles having high performances, the fabrics containing aramid being a strong synthetic fiber are used in the products as a separate fabric layer.
In the state of the art, the friction -resistant textile is created by coupling three separate fabrics, one which is 100% aramid. Generally, the treatments such as lamination being the tightly adhering process by means of a glue and sewing are utilized for coupling.
In the three-thread knitting method belonging to the state of the art, three threads are used for the fabric production. Three-thread knitting is a knitting type obtained by knitting three yarns (ground, lining, and connection yarns). In the fabric production method from said knitting type, the front yarn named as the ground yarn, the back yarn named as the lining yarn, and the intermediary yarn named as the connection yarn are prepared, and the knitting process is realized by feeding yarns from three separate channels in the knitting machine.
Concerning the state of the art, in the U.S. patent no US2013236716, a non-woven fabric containing aramid and a method for preparing thereof are disclosed. Aramid non- woven fabric contains 10% to 100% para-aramid fiber and 0% to 90% meta-aramid fiber by weight. A fabric obtained by three thread method is not mentioned. Concerning the state of the art, in the U.S. Patent No. US200414617, a method has been mentioned for producing aramid fabric defined as hydrophobic and having the antibacterial activity.
As it may be seen in the above-mentioned patents, aramid fabrics are used in order to obtain high-performance products in the technical textile. Because the manufacture stages are too many, the structures containing aramid and consisting of multi-layer fabrics which are presented to the market need to find buyers with high prices. Also, because the aramid content is 100%, the movement convenience for the user is restricted to certain extend.
Technical Problems Aimed by the Invention to be solved
The object of the invention is to create a friction -resistant textile where the movement convenience and comfort parameters are kept in high level via a single-layer fabric having a three thread structure.
On the fabric of the invention, one advantage of the use of aramid is that the aramid is a strong and light fiber type. In the fabric using the three thread knitting construction, the aramid provides high strength, and high friction and abrasion resistance.
Another advantage of the invention is that a much stronger structure is created against the damages to occur in the accidents arising from the friction, by using the fibers having a high friction-resistance performance relative to the fabrics which are used in the knitted-type technical textiles.
Another advantage of the invention is that both the costs and the excess load will be reduced because the higher performance relative to the friction -resistant textile created upon coupling three separate fabrics after multiple process steps in the prior art will be provided by using a single-layer fabric and less aramid fiber by weight within the protective structure than the prior art.
Another advantage of the invention is that an uncomfortable effect will be prevented on the surface of the fabric contacting to the user and that the deterioration of the aramid fiber arising from the UV rays will be avoided by using aramid intermediary yarns in the three thread knitting construction.
Another advantage of the invention is that the comfort threshold created by the fact that the patented aramid-containing woven fabric in the state of the art restricts the movement capacity to a certain extend is raised by the use of three thread knitting construction having stretching capability.
Figures will be used for better understanding the protective structure of the invention eliminating the friction.

Detailed Description of the Invention The present invention relates to a single-layer, friction-resistant protective structure obtained by the three thread method and using the aramid fiber which increase the strength and the resistance. It is produced in order to provide the friction -resistant and high-strength structure by a single-layer fabric, which is used to be provided by the use of three-layer fabric in the prior art.
The structure of the invention comprises at least one back yarn (1 ) consisting of a synthetic or natural material which may be seen in the needle diagram of figure 1 , at least one front yarn (3), and at least one intermediary yarn (2) consisting of aramid between said back yarn (1 ) and the front yarn (3). In the structure of the invention, by the use of three thread knitting method, the single-layer fabric (4) is obtained illustrated in figure 2 by feeding said three yarns separately to the knitting machines. In figure 3 illustrating the state of the art, three-layer fabric structure is presented, one of the layers being the aramid-containing fabric.
In the structure of the invention, back yarn (1 ) is named as the lining and constitutes the surface of the fabric contacting to the user. The front yarn (3) is the ground yarn and it is the portion constituting the outer surface of the fabric. The back (1 ) and front yarns (3) may be made of synthetic or natural yarn types. The intermediary yarn (2) which is also defined as the connection yarn is a yarn type containing aramid in the ratio of 80% to 100%.
Concerning the state of the art, a friction -resistant three-layer fabric (5) structure is illustrated in figure 3. The woven denim (5a), aramid-containing fabric (5c), and the lining fabric (5b) are produced separately for the said three-layer fabric (5) structure, wherein the denim (5a) and the aramid-containing fabric (5c) are coupled by the lamination film (5b). Then, three-layer fabric (5) is obtained by coupling the woven denim (5a) and the aramid-containing fabric (5c) with the lining fabric by the sewing method.
In the production method of the fabric (4) of the invention, without any obligation, i.e. by the use of the similar or different methods, the following work flow may be preferred for the three thread knitting method.
- knitting step (100), - cold washing step (200),
- finishing step (300),
- free drying step (400),
- sanforizing step (500),
- quality control step (600).
In order to obtain the fabric of the invention, the following details of the three thread knitting method whose work flow is described above is for better understanding and described without creating any limiting effect.
- In the knitting step (100); yarn feeding is performed from three separate channels to the circular knitting machines.
- In the cold washing step (200); the washing process is performed for 2 hours at 30°C.
