In the string tensioning device according to the invention, the lifting unit now comprises a first sleeve and a second sleeve, the first sleeve being fixed in a rotationally stable manner on the drum shell and the second sleeve being arranged co-axially with the first sleeve and being rotatable within the first sleeve. Furthermore, a locking element is provided in the lifting unit according to the invention, whereby when the lifting unit is actuated, the locking element assumes at least two positions, a first position in which the pulling unit can be moved in the first axial direction and is lifted off the resonance head and a second position in which the pulling unit is movable in the second axial direction and pulled to the resonance head.
In this way, various sounds can be produced by manually operating the lifting unit by the drummer. If the pulling unit is in the first position, there is a gap between the resonance head and the strings that are above the pulling unit to run. The strings do not resonate with the resonance head. If the pulling unit is in the second position, the strings of the pulling unit rest against the resonance head and vibrate with it. A different drum sound results.
In the case of the string tensioning device according to the invention, the second sleeve is operatively connected to the pulling unit; the adjusting unit of the pulling unit preferably rests on the second sleeve of the lifting unit. When the lifting unit is actuated, the second sleeve and the pulling unit are moved together.
In a first embodiment of the string tensioning device according to the invention, the first sleeve has a groove, preferably a spiral groove. In this embodiment, the locking element is arranged on the second sleeve and can be moved within the groove. In this way, the lifting device can be brought into the at least two positions in the vertical y-direction.
In the first embodiment, the locking element is designed as a lever arranged on the second sleeve. The lever protrudes from the first sleeve and is movably arranged within the groove. This is set up to bring the lifting unit into the aforementioned at least two positions.
In a second embodiment of the string tensioning device according to the invention, the groove, preferably a spiral groove, is provided in the second sleeve. The locking element is arranged on the first sleeve, engages in the groove and is movable within it. To operate the locking element, the second sleeve has a lever which is designed to move the locking element within the groove and thus to bring the lifting unit into the at least two positions.
In the second embodiment, the locking element is a screw or a pin with which the first sleeve is fixed to the drum shell (frame).
In a further embodiment of the string tensioning device according to the invention, it has a second pulling unit, the second pulling unit comprising a neck and a second adjusting unit operatively connected to this neck. Fastening means for strings are again provided at an opposite end of the actuating unit. The second pulling unit is arranged co-axially to the first pulling unit and runs partially within it. When the respective setting unit is actuated, the first pulling unit is moved relative to the second pulling unit or the second pulling unit is moved relative to the first pulling unit in the axial direction of the string tensioning device.
In a further embodiment of the string tensioning device according to the invention, it has a third pulling unit, the third pulling unit comprising a neck and a third adjusting unit that is operatively connected to this neck. Fastening means for strings are provided at the opposite end of the adjusting unit. The third traction unit is arranged co-axially to the second and first traction unit and runs partially within them. When the third adjusting unit is actuated, the third pulling unit can be moved relative to the first pulling unit and to the second pulling unit in the axial direction (y-direction) of the string tensioning device. The neck of the third pulling unit has a fastening means for strings at one end and a bore, preferably with an internal thread, for receiving the third adjusting unit at the opposite end. In a preferred embodiment, the neck has a rotationally stable, preferably angular cross-section.
In one embodiment of the string tensioning device according to the invention, the neck of at least the first and the second pulling unit has at least two parts. Of the The first part of the neck comprises a thread, preferably an external thread or an internal thread, which interacts with the actuating unit in the form of an adjusting screw with a thread, preferably an internal thread or an external thread.
The second part of the neck is thread-free and has a rotationally stable, preferably angular cross-section.
In the string tensioning device according to the invention, the fastening means for strings comprise at least two cams arranged on the neck of the pulling units, or the fastening means are designed as clamping jaws for a snare carpet.
In the case of the string tensioning device according to the invention, a locking element is coupled to the adjusting units, preferably to the second or third adjusting unit, which prevents an automatic release of the tension units in the y-direction.
One advantage of the arrangement according to the invention is that the traction units can be individually adjusted in their distance from the resonance head via the actuating units and, on the other hand, all traction units can be simultaneously lifted from the resonance head via the lifting unit or pulled onto it. The sound of the drum can be adjusted in this way as desired by the drummer.
In a preferred embodiment, a height of the second sleeve is 25% to 50% of a height of the first sleeve. It was found that the correct choice of the height ratio of the two sleeves to one another improves the sliding properties of the locking element in the groove and thus also the operability of the device. The second sleeve is preferably designed to be half as high as the first sleeve.
Another possibility of improving the operability of the device is the design of the groove itself. The groove has a sliding surface which is in direct contact with the locking element. When the device is actuated, the locking element slides along this surface. To improve the sliding properties, this sliding surface has a projection running along this surface, which accordingly widens this surface.
Alternatively, this surface can also be designed in the shape of a shoulder.
