Definitions
- the invention relates to a covering panel that can be illuminated from the side and illuminates upwards, in particular for floors, which consist of support elements and covering panels, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- such luminous covering panels are available, for example, under the designation design panel and are characterized by a multi-layer structure with lateral light feed, for example via strips that have numerous LEDs.
- the light is fed into the narrow, long rectangular side surfaces of an acrylic plate (Plexiglas), the base layer, the lower surface of which is roughened in order to achieve a surface that shines as evenly as possible "from below” through the various reflections of the incident light.
- acrylic plate Plexiglas
- the base layer the lower surface of which is roughened in order to achieve a surface that shines as evenly as possible "from below” through the various reflections of the incident light.
- Above this plate there is a further, thinner plate, often just a foil, also made of transparent plastic, or an empty space, and on this plate / foil or above this distance, another, again thicker (thicker) plate , the cover plate, made of acrylic glass.
- the covering plate has an upper layer of hardened glass, the cover plate, which is connected by means of polyvinyl butyral to a base plate made of glass underneath, the lower surface of which is roughened and preferably mirrored.
- a unit is preferably connected with its underside to a support plate, for example glued.
- the support plate is particularly preferably made of polyurethane, which is connected to the unit mentioned and is advantageously foamed.
- the light is introduced laterally, thus seen from the base plate, at the front, by means of at least one illuminant, preferably having a plurality of LEDs.
- the lighting means can be permanently and / or detachably connected to the covering plate or can only fit snugly against it.
- This structure possibly including the illuminants, is designed as a fixed, quasi-one-piece plate that is easy to lay, mechanically stable and optically excellent because of its scratch resistance.
- the lighting means are advantageously arranged in narrow strips or a narrow frame.
- at least the uppermost, hardened plate can have a protrusion, which makes an optically frameless variant possible.
- the cover plate By using hardened glass for the cover plate, you achieve an extremely scratch-resistant surface with maximum load capacity, despite the higher density of the glass compared to acrylic material, the reduced thickness, even with large areas of up to one square meter and high load, for example in Car showrooms, thicknesses from 4-10 mm, do not noticeably increase the total mass of the panel, the optical properties of the glass improve the luminosity and appearance.
- Polyvinylbutyral is available on the market in various qualities, also as a film; a variant is preferably used which is matt or opaque at least in the finished state of the composite, since this further improves the uniformity of the upward illumination of the plate.
- This variant is used, among other things, in the construction industry for railings or roofs made of laminated safety glass (VSG). The bonding with the glass panes is carried out by heating according to the data sheet of the PVB used.
- the base plate is made of glass, but it does not have to be hardened; its top side, which is glued to the PVB, can be partially reflective, which means that part of the incident light is reflected at every point on the partial reflective coating.
- Such a partial mirroring which leads to a further improvement of the uniformity of the lighting of the plate, does not have to be carried out over the entire surface, but can be used to create optical effects such as the display of an image, a logo, information, etc. on the To effect surface of the covering plate.
- a fine structure is preferably provided, which is applied before the satin finish.
- This fine structure is geometrically several orders of magnitude larger than the roughness achieved by the satin finishing, and its geometrical features have dimensions in the range from 0.2 to 2.5 mm. It comprises, for example, rectangular or square truncated pyramidal elevations and / or depressions with a height of 0.2 to 1.0 mm with an edge length of 0.5 to 2.5 mm, preferably with a 0.5 to 3.0 mm spacing from side to side are arranged in a grid on the lower surface of the base plate.
- These structures are preferably also produced during the production of the glass plates. Similar structures can easily be determined with knowledge of the invention.
- the surfaces of these structures are satinized.
- a reflective layer is applied after the satin finishing, for example by vapor deposition of metal.
- the support plate only needs to be mechanically robust, which can be easily determined on the basis of the intended use and the plate size.
- the support plate is connected to the underside of the unit over the full area possible, preferably glued.
- Polyurethane (PU) is preferably foamed directly onto the base plate and advantageously has a counter-tension.
- the invention is explained in more detail below using an example.
- the Fig. 1 the structure of the actual, optically significant, plate and the Fig. 2 an example of a covering panel according to the invention as a whole.
- the Fig. 1 shows, purely schematically, an optically active plate 1 which has a cover plate 2 made of hardened glass which is connected to a central or inner glass plate, the base plate 4, by means of a layer of, preferably matt, polyvinyl butyral 3.
- this base slat 4 may or may not be hardened, since it is located inside the actual covering panel.
- the base lath 4 has a roughened underside; this roughening 5 is indicated purely schematically in the figure by the zigzag line, since it is known per se from the prior art and therefore does not require any explanation.
- this roughening achieves a uniform distribution of the light introduction from the side, indicated on the end face by the arrow 6.
- a fine structure (not shown) can also be provided.
- the rough underside of the base plate 4 can have a mirror coating 7, which can be achieved, for example, in a known manner by vapor deposition of a metal.
- the side edge of this composite is shown as a flat surface that is normal to the visible surface 8 that emits the light, but it is also possible, in particular the hardened cover plate 2, to protrude laterally in order to combine the light strip and to cover the support frame and to conceal it optically.
- the polyvinyl butyral is preferably applied in a known manner by applying a suitable film, it connects the two glass plates and in this way increases the load capacity on the one hand, and on the other hand the safety in the event of a break, since if the glass plate (s) break, the splintering due to the gluing the film is harmless, it is the effect of the windshields in motor vehicles or the laminated safety glass in general.
- the Fig. 2 shows, schematically and not to scale, an edge area of a covering element 9 according to the invention:
- the mirrored, lower surface of the base batten 4 is foamed onto a base layer 10, preferably made of polyurethane, which in turn is provided with a counter tension 11 in the lower area.
- This counter-tension can have the shape of a mat or a grid or a mesh made of tensile material, for example made of glass fibers, and prevents lateral expansion in this lower area in the event of a vertical, in particular central, load of the support plate 10, so that damaging tensile stresses cannot occur anywhere outside of the counter-train 11, since these are absorbed by the counter-train 11.
- the counter-tension can also consist of glass fibers that are introduced into the base layer in a tangled manner so that it cannot be geometrically detected as shown; all types of counter-tension can be used that are used in paving slabs in the prior art.
- a lighting means 6 preferably an LED cord or strip, which is in a support strip, which can be part of a frame 9, for example by gluing.
- a lighting means 6 preferably an LED cord or strip, which is in a support strip, which can be part of a frame 9, for example by gluing.
- Usable LED strips are available in a wide variety of designs in the state of the art; the person skilled in the art can make his choice without problems with knowledge of the invention and the field of application (elegant, robust, damp room, outdoor area, etc.). With knowledge of the invention and the respective application, the electrical supply does not present a problem either and can easily be solved by the person skilled in the art using the means of the prior art, which is why it is not discussed here.
- the support strip or the frame 9, advantageously together with the lighting means is glued to the interconnected glass plates, and in special cases also screwed or clamped. Particularly in the latter case, a simple separation of the illuminant 6 from the "core plate” is easily possible, which is advantageous for easy replacement in the event of the failure of LEDs.
- laying or dismantling the plate it can be viewed as a single piece, and during maintenance it can be dismantled, which can bring advantages.
- the panels 1 are laid, with gaps remaining between the individual panels, possibly also between the panels and the edge of the covering, being inserted into the support strips with the lighting means 6.
- strips are used between the panels that emit light on both sides, the same in the marginal gaps, depending on the user's philosophy, in order to avoid special shapes, or adapted to improve the visual appearance.
- the support elements on which the plate 1 may be laid are available in the state of the art in a wide variety of configurations, the lower edge areas and in particular the lower corner areas of the covering panels, where there is usually contact with the support elements, are geometrical and, if necessary, also in terms of material through inserts adapted to this, as is usual with tiles without lighting.
- the invention is not limited to the illustrated and described exemplary embodiment, but can be modified in various ways. So it is possible to use more than just the two glass plates mentioned; the roughening 5 can have the most varied of shapes and dimensions, and it is also possible to create a type of "image" instead of the most uniform possible illumination. If a mirror 7 is provided, this applies equally to this. Because of the roughness of the underside of the base plate 4, the connection with the support plate 10 is best created by foaming the PU onto the plate used as the mold, but with a suitable geometry it is also possible to use an adhesive.

Description
The invention relates to a covering panel that can be illuminated from the side and illuminates upwards, in particular for floors, which consist of support elements and covering panels, according to the preamble of
In the prior art, such luminous covering panels are available, for example, under the designation design panel and are characterized by a multi-layer structure with lateral light feed, for example via strips that have numerous LEDs. The light is fed into the narrow, long rectangular side surfaces of an acrylic plate (Plexiglas), the base layer, the lower surface of which is roughened in order to achieve a surface that shines as evenly as possible "from below" through the various reflections of the incident light. Above this plate there is a further, thinner plate, often just a foil, also made of transparent plastic, or an empty space, and on this plate / foil or above this distance, another, again thicker (thicker) plate , the cover plate, made of acrylic glass. These known solutions are built on the spot with appropriate spacers and the lighting means. Even if the permissible load of 350 kg / m 2 is high and sufficient for most areas of application, the appearance suffers in tough operation due to the not very high scratch resistance of the Plexiglas panes. An installation in the form of a single covering plate in a floor consisting of covering plates is also not possible.
There is therefore a need for a covering plate of the type mentioned at the outset, and it is the aim and object of the invention to provide such a covering plate.
According to the invention, this is done by the features specified in the characterizing part of
As is known from the prior art, the light is introduced laterally, thus seen from the base plate, at the front, by means of at least one illuminant, preferably having a plurality of LEDs. The lighting means can be permanently and / or detachably connected to the covering plate or can only fit snugly against it.
This structure, possibly including the illuminants, is designed as a fixed, quasi-one-piece plate that is easy to lay, mechanically stable and optically excellent because of its scratch resistance. The lighting means are advantageously arranged in narrow strips or a narrow frame. In this case, at least the uppermost, hardened plate can have a protrusion, which makes an optically frameless variant possible.
By using hardened glass for the cover plate, you achieve an extremely scratch-resistant surface with maximum load capacity, despite the higher density of the glass compared to acrylic material, the reduced thickness, even with large areas of up to one square meter and high load, for example in Car showrooms, thicknesses from 4-10 mm, do not noticeably increase the total mass of the panel, the optical properties of the glass improve the luminosity and appearance.
Diese Variante wird unter anderem im Bauwesen bei Geländern oder auch Dächern aus Verbundsicherheitsglas (VSG) Die Verklebung mit den Glasscheiben erfolgt durch Erwärmung entsprechend dem Datenblatt des verwendeten PVBs.Polyvinylbutyral (PVB) is available on the market in various qualities, also as a film; a variant is preferably used which is matt or opaque at least in the finished state of the composite, since this further improves the uniformity of the upward illumination of the plate. This variant is used, among other things, in the construction industry for railings or roofs made of laminated safety glass (VSG). The bonding with the glass panes is carried out by heating according to the data sheet of the PVB used.
The base plate is made of glass, but it does not have to be hardened; its top side, which is glued to the PVB, can be partially reflective, which means that part of the incident light is reflected at every point on the partial reflective coating.
Such a partial mirroring, which leads to a further improvement of the uniformity of the lighting of the plate, does not have to be carried out over the entire surface, but can be used to create optical effects such as the display of an image, a logo, information, etc. on the To effect surface of the covering plate.
Their underside is roughened, satined, for example by sandblasting with corundum or etching with hydrofluoric acid, as is known from the prior art. In addition, a fine structure is preferably provided, which is applied before the satin finish. This fine structure is geometrically several orders of magnitude larger than the roughness achieved by the satin finishing, and its geometrical features have dimensions in the range from 0.2 to 2.5 mm. These structures are preferably also produced during the production of the glass plates. Similar structures can easily be determined with knowledge of the invention. The surfaces of these structures are satinized. In a further embodiment, regardless of the provision of fine structures, a reflective layer is applied after the satin finishing, for example by vapor deposition of metal.
The support plate only needs to be mechanically robust, which can be easily determined on the basis of the intended use and the plate size. The support plate is connected to the underside of the unit over the full area possible, preferably glued. Polyurethane (PU) is preferably foamed directly onto the base plate and advantageously has a counter-tension.

Also indicated here is the protrusion of the
In the variant shown, the support strip or the frame 9, advantageously together with the lighting means, is glued to the interconnected glass plates, and in special cases also screwed or clamped. Particularly in the latter case, a simple separation of the illuminant 6 from the "core plate" is easily possible, which is advantageous for easy replacement in the event of the failure of LEDs. When laying or dismantling the plate, however, it can be viewed as a single piece, and during maintenance it can be dismantled, which can bring advantages.
In another variant, not shown, the
The support elements on which the
The invention is not limited to the illustrated and described exemplary embodiment, but can be modified in various ways. So it is possible to use more than just the two glass plates mentioned; the
In the description and the claims, the terms "front", "rear", "top", "bottom" and so on are used in their usual form and with reference to the object in its usual position of use. It should also be pointed out that in the description and the claims, statements such as "lower area" of a hanger, structure, or device or covering plate, in general, of an object means the lower half and in particular the lower quarter of the total height, " lowest area "the lowest quarter and especially an even smaller part; while "middle area" means the middle third of the total height (width - length). All of this information has its common meaning, applied to the intended position of the object in question.
In the description and the claims, "essentially" means a deviation of up to 10% of the specified value, if it is physically possible, both downwards and upwards, otherwise only in the sensible direction, for degrees (angle and temperature) this means ± 10 °.
All quantities and proportions, in particular those used to delimit the invention, unless they relate to the specific examples, are to be understood with a tolerance of ± 10%, thus for example: 11% means: from 9.9% to 12.1%. In terms such as: "a solvent", the word "a" is not to be regarded as a numerical word, but as an indefinite article or as a pronoun, unless the context indicates otherwise.
The term: “combination” or “combinations” stands for all types of combinations, starting from two of the constituents in question up to a large number or all of such constituents, unless otherwise stated, the term: “containing” also stands for “consisting out".
