Abstract

The invention relates to a device (10) for holding and securing at least one object of value (30) on a piece of furniture or part of a piece of furniture (40). Description

The invention relates to a device for holding and securing at least one valuable object on a piece of furniture or part of a piece of furniture according to the preamble of claim 1. Valuables are understood to mean in particular electronic display devices, such as mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, e-book Readers, PDAs, netbooks, etc. Such devices can be used in many ways and can also be displayed publicly. On the one hand, this happens of course in shops that offer and sell such devices, but also, for example, in other shops that want to use these devices to provide information about their goods and services, at exhibition stands, in restaurants, where food and drinks are offered and / or via such devices can be ordered in schools and universities, in fitness centers, in local public transport and many other areas of application. The objects of value should provide information to the people who use them, entertain people, support or trigger order and purchase processes or fulfill other functions. At the same time, there is a need to protect these portable electronic devices from theft, even when there is no supervisor in the vicinity.

The DE 10 2014 101 096 A1 , the DE 20 2013 103 595 U1 and the DE 20 2014 009 880 U1 each describe presentation holder for goods in a sales room. The devices described there are used to present the goods in a shop where they are offered and sold and are equipped with an alarm that informs a supervisor if someone tries to remove the objects from the holder unlawfully. The disadvantage here is that the presentation holder are clearly visible and may interfere with the visual appearance of the secured item. In addition, the electronic device can be removed by an unauthorized person. The removal of the object is not prevented, only an alarm is triggered. The US 2005/0073413 A1 describes a sales shelf on which electronic devices for sale are displayed. A cable is connected to these devices, which leads to an alarm system. The devices can be moved within a certain range without triggering an alarm. Here, too, it does not prevent an issued device from being stolen by an unauthorized person. Likewise, only an alarm sounds in the event of an unauthorized removal of the object, which, however, brings about the same problems already described.

The US 2015/0206522 A1 also describes a safeguard for movable objects, especially electronic devices. For this purpose, a holder is provided in which the electronic device is held and which is connected to an alarm via a connection system. Here, too, it is possible to disconnect the device from the alarm system and steal it. The alarm is triggered, but again requires a supervisor to be nearby to prevent theft.

Alternatively, you can lock relevant valuables in showcases, cupboards and other furniture and only allow authorized persons access to this furniture. Then it is no longer possible for third parties who are not authorized to remove the device to try it out, operate it or use it in any other way.

The object of the invention is therefore to avoid the present disadvantages and to provide a security system for objects of value, in particular for electronic ones To provide display devices which, on the one hand, allow the device to be operated even when it is in the secured state and, on the other hand, prevents the device from being removed. In addition, the device should be designed to be as inconspicuous as possible for an operator. Another object of the invention is to provide part of a piece of furniture which comprises such a safety device. According to the invention, these objects are achieved by the characterizing features of claims 1 and 15, to which the following particular importance is attached.

A projection is arranged on the object, in which a counter-projection which is provided on the device or on the fuse engages in order to secure the object against unauthorized removal. At the same time, however, only a small part of the object is introduced into the receptacle, so that it can still be touched, used, tried out and / or operated by an operator. Thus, the electronic device can still be used without restriction by an operator, but cannot be removed from the device, since the projection and the counter-projection cooperate here in such a way that removal of the device is prevented.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the fuse engages automatically as soon as the object with the projection is introduced into the receptacle. In this way, the valuable item is secured particularly quickly and without problems, and a person who brings the item into the receptacle cannot forget to secure it.

This automatic securing is preferably done in that the counter-projection is spring-loaded and, when the object of value is inserted into the receptacle, automatically comes into operative connection with the projection on the object and engages there. The counter-projection can preferably be designed as a spring-loaded lock latch. It is then no longer possible to remove the item without a corresponding authorization. The backup is thus done in a simple and uncomplicated manner and is inexpensive to manufacture. Of course it is also possible here to provide a kinematic reversal and to make the projection on the object spring-loaded or both projections. The automatic backup can also be brought about in another way.

In order to prove the authorization to remove the object, an RFID element can be used, for example, which the authorized person carries with him and which can be read out by an RFID reader on the device. With the positive identification of the authorization by the RFID reader, the security is then transferred to the release status and the valuable item can be removed from the receptacle.

Additionally or alternatively, biometric data of an authorized person can also serve as authorization, such as a fingerprint, an iris scan or the like. Here, too, if the authorization is positively identified, the security is then transferred to the release status. Finally, it is also additionally or alternatively possible that a numerical code is used as authorization, which is entered via a PIN pad or a touchscreen or a remote control that works on the basis of infrared or radio technology and, if the authorization is positively identified, the security in the release state convicted. Virtually all possible methods of identifying the authorization of a person are conceivable, with individual or several different identification options being able to be used.

The transfer of the fuse to the release state is preferably carried out electrically or electronically, for example with the aid of an electric motor, which ensures that the projection and the counter-projection are disengaged from one another again. Then the valuable item can be removed. An electrically unlockable lock, which is supplied with electrical energy via batteries or rechargeable batteries or a power connection, then preferably serves as a safety device. The power connection can then be connected to the existing power lines in the building.

If the device is used to hold and secure an electronic display device, an electrical connection for the power and / or data supply of the electronic display device can be integrated in the receptacle. The connection to this electrical connection is preferably established automatically when the electronic display device is introduced into the receptacle. This ensures the power supply to the electronic display device. The data transfer can then also take place via this connection and / or also wirelessly, for example via WLAN or a cellular network. A commercially available connection cable for the corresponding type of electronic display device can serve as the electrical connection, the length of which is possibly also adapted. A holder for this connection cable is then provided in the receptacle, which ensures that the connection cable is in the correct position and position in the receptacle in order to automatically come into engagement with the corresponding socket on the electronic display device as soon as it is in the receptacle was introduced.

In a preferred exemplary embodiment, the securing means at the same time also ensures that the object is aligned and positioned in the receptacle. This ensures, for example, an appealing overall visual impression of the object of value brought into the receptacle, but also helps, for example, if an electrical connection is provided in the receptacle, that the connection is brought into engagement with the socket provided on the device.

In one embodiment, the fuse works electronically, with an optical and / or acoustic signal sounding in the event of an unauthorized interruption of the power supply to the fuse and / or the unauthorized removal of the object from the fuse and / or from the receptacle. This embodiment is particularly useful when supervisors are in the vicinity of the valuable item and can intervene when a signal or alarm sounds.

A cover is preferably provided which covers the area of the receptacle in which the object is not located. The object is often designed to be much flatter and / or narrower than the receptacle. So that the view into the area of the security and to the other parts of the facial expressions, which are located below the top of the furniture part, is covered and an appealing overall impression is created, but also prevents dust and other dirt from collecting in the receptacle, a cover can then be provided which covers the area between the object of value and the receptacle. This can consist of a wide variety of materials, for example glass, metal, wood, plastic, a mineral material, stone or even textile material, depending on the environment, application and the desired overall visual appearance. There are virtually no limits to the design and choice of materials.

A housing is preferably provided which is arranged below the piece of furniture or the part of a piece of furniture in the region of the receptacle and includes the securing means in some areas. This simplifies the assembly of the fuse on the furniture part and results in a more attractive overall appearance if, for example, a shelf is provided as the furniture part, on which the underside can also be viewed by operators or customers. Furthermore, in addition or as an alternative, a plate can also be provided on which the individual elements of the fuse are arranged directly or indirectly and which closes the fuse at the bottom. This plate can then be mounted in a simple manner on the piece of furniture or part of a piece of furniture, for example by screwing or gluing.

In a preferred embodiment, the projection is directly or indirectly glued, welded, injection-molded, clipped or the like to the object of value. Virtually all conceivable fastening options can be used here to fasten the projection to the object. Thus, the projection can already be firmly attached to a housing of the object.
