Definitions

  • the invention relates to a wired earphone for at least one ear, wherein the connecting cable is removable.
  • Wired earphones are often used, e.g. on stages, for voice communication systems or for listening to music. Unlike headphones, earphones are fixed in the ear and ear and have a section that can be inserted at least partially into the ear canal. Therefore, they are also referred to as in-ear listeners. Often, this section also serves to attach the earphone to or in the ear of the user. However, such attachment in the ear is often insufficient, e.g. with artists who move on stage.
  • connection cables of wired earphones experience experience sensitive and often lead to problems such. Cable break. Therefore, earphones are known with removable connection cable.
  • the connection cable is connected with a detachable plug connection to the housing of the earphone in which the sound transducer is located. This allows a replacement of the cable with further use of the housing and the sound transducer. This makes sense because the transducer is usually the most valuable component of the earphone.
  • the housing may be customized for a user, which also makes it a valuable component.
  • the plug connection is also sensitive and often already damaged after only a few plugging operations. Therefore, an earphone with a robust and reliable connector for the connection cable would be desirable.

Therefore, the distance of the two bearings from each other between a minimum value Lmin and a maximum value L ma x vary. As a typical value, a mean value L can be assumed. According to the invention, this distance is always (also in the case of the minimum value Lmin) greater than the diameter d of the (outer) plug contact 230 of the coaxial plug at the second bearing point.
  • the diameter of the shoulder 21 1 can be matched exactly to the size of the opening in the housing, so that when plugged a press fit is formed. However, this is axially rotatable, so that the inserted cable can be rotated. This is particularly advantageous if the cable has a specific shape adapted to the user's ear (eg if the user has previously worn the earphone). The user can then turn the earphone relative to the cable so that it sits comfortably in the ear.
