Definitions
- the present invention relates to a flush valve arrangement for controlling the withdrawal of water from a cistern according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Flush valve arrangements for controlling the withdrawal of water from a cistern are known from the prior art. Such flush valve arrangements are, for example, from WO 2006/068628 A , DE 299 00 976 U , U.S. 2,121,362 and from the FR 2 872 184 A known.
- the more compact design of the cisterns has the disadvantage that the flush valves are not fully accessible to the installer when installed. This means that the fitter cannot reach all areas of the cistern with his hand during installation or maintenance. As a result, parts of the flush valve cannot or can only be removed from the cistern with difficulty.
- the invention is based on an object of specifying a flushing valve arrangement which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
- the flush valve arrangement should be designed in such a way that it can be easily installed in the cistern and removed from the cistern again.
- the DE 299 00 976 U can be regarded as the closest prior art.
- a flush valve arrangement comprises a flush valve comprising a housing with a lower end and an upper end as well as a valve body movably mounted in the housing along a central axis, a flush valve holder with a receiving section for receiving the lower end of the flush valve and a bearing section for connecting the flush valve holder to a drain opening of a flush cistern, and a hold-down unit.
- the hold-down unit comprises a first hold-down device that acts with an active section on the housing of the flushing valve and a second hold-down device that acts on the flush valve holder with an effective section.
- the separate design of the two hold-down devices has the advantage that the flush valve can be installed or removed in the cistern separately from the flush valve holder.
- Installation is also easier because first the flush valve holder and then the flush valve can be inserted into the cistern. This is an advantage, especially when there is limited space in the cistern.
- the separation here has the advantage that the flush valve holder remains in the cistern when the flush valve is replaced or revised, so that the seal is not stressed. Such loads have a negative impact on the sealing effect.
- the two hold-down devices are designed separately from one another and can be connected to one another at a connection point. This connection is such that it can be canceled in the event of maintenance, so that the flush valve can be removed while the flush valve holder remains in the cistern. Furthermore, at least one of the two hold-down devices can be connected to the cistern. This connection is such that it can be canceled in the event of maintenance, so that the flushing valve holder and the flushing valve are expandable.
- connection point is preferably arranged at an easily accessible point so that the installer has good access to the connection point.
- the connection point is preferably designed in such a way that it can be detachably connected to the cistern.
- connection point is preferably closer to the upper end of the housing, as seen along the central axis, than in the case of the flushing valve holder.
- the junction is above the top of the housing. This arrangement has the advantage that the connection point can be arranged near a maintenance opening in the cistern. This means that the connection point is easily accessible through the maintenance opening.
- the maintenance opening is the opening that is typically located behind an actuator plate.
- the active sections of the hold-down devices preferably act as close as possible to the bearing section of the flushing valve holder, in particular in the region of the receiving section, on the flushing valve and the flushing valve holder. This means that the force is applied as close as possible to the point at which the flush valve holder is connected to the cistern. As a result, transverse forces on the flushing valve holder and the flushing valve can largely be avoided. This means that the flush valve is not pushed away to the side. In addition, the guide lengths between the flushing valve holder and the drain opening and between the flushing valve holder and the flushing valve can be reduced.
- connection point between the two hold-down devices is preferably provided by a snap connection between the first hold-down device and the second hold-down device.
- the elements that provide the snap connection are firmly molded onto the respective hold-down device.
- the snap connection is preferably a direct connection between the two hold-down devices. That means there are no more Elements are present between the two hold-down devices.
- the snap connection particularly preferably has flexible snaps and a receptacle.
- the snapper engage in the receptacle, which is preferably rigid.
- the flexible snapper are preferably arranged on the first hold-down device and the receptacle is preferably arranged on the second hold-down device.
- the hold-down devices preferably extend essentially in the manner of a rod, in particular with a rectangular cross section, in the direction of the central axis.
- the connection point is preferably placed at the free ends of the hold-down devices. The free ends lie opposite the active sections.
- the hold-down devices are preferably designed to be sprung. This means that the hold-down devices can be moved slightly resiliently towards and away from the housing.
- the two hold-down devices preferably extend essentially parallel to one another, the first hold-down device being closer to the housing than the second hold-down device.
- the two hold-down devices are preferably close to the housing, which is advantageous for the compactness of the arrangement.
- At least one of the hold-down devices in particular the second hold-down device, preferably has a latching structure with which the hold-down device can be connected to a cistern, the latching structure preferably being closer to the connection point than the flush valve holder, or the latching structure in the area of the free end of the holding-down device or wherein the locking structure is at the level of the connection point.
- the second, hold-down device is connected to the cistern via the latching structure, while the other, in particular the first, hold-down device is connected to the said, in particular to the second, hold-down device, preferably via the Connection point is in communication.
- the arrangement of the latching structure in the area of the connection point has the advantage that the latching structure is also easily accessible.
- At least one of the hold-down devices in particular the second hold-down device, preferably has a compensating element between the active section and the connection point, with which position tolerances relative to the cistern can be compensated.
- the compensation element is preferably arranged in the area of the rod-like section and ensures that the rod-like section can compensate for angle errors.
- the active section of the second hold-down device and the counterpart on the flushing valve holder are preferably designed as a mechanical connection, in particular as a latching connection.
- the connection is such that the second hold-down device can establish a fixed connection with the flushing valve holder. This means that the second hold-down device can be firmly connected to the flushing valve holder via the mechanical connection or the latching connection. This allows the flush valve holder with the hold-down device to be inserted into the cistern.
- the installer can grasp the unit consisting of the hold-down device and flush valve holder on the hold-down device and then insert the flush valve holder into the drain opening through the maintenance opening.
- the active area of the second hold-down device is integrally formed on the flushing valve holder. This results in the same advantages as with the latching connection.
- the relative arrangement between the second hold-down device and the flushing valve holder is preferably such that a force can be applied evenly to the flushing valve holder in the direction of the central axis or that a force can be applied to the flushing valve holder at two locations that are essentially opposite with respect to the central axis . This can prevent the flush valve holder from tilting when it is inserted into the drain opening.
- connection between the second hold-down device and the flushing valve holder preferably allows an angular relative movement between the hold-down device and the flushing valve holder. This avoids tilting during assembly.
- latching connection it is particularly preferred that two latching connections are arranged that are essentially opposite one another with respect to the central axis.
- the latching connection preferably comprises a latching opening and a latching tab protruding into the latching opening.
- the active section of the first hold-down device preferably comprises at least one spring section which acts on an edge region of the housing. Due to the spring-loaded design, forces that can occur during flushing can advantageously be introduced into the hold-down device.
- the spring section preferably has the shape of a leaf spring.
- the edge area of the housing is preferably a web protruding from the housing, the top of which is in contact with the hold-down device and the bottom of which rests on the flush valve holder, the web between the bottom and the top preferably being 5 millimeters thick. This enables the force to be introduced in the area of the lower end.
- the first hold-down device is preferably mounted movably in a longitudinal guide on the outside of the housing.
- the longitudinal guide is oriented in the direction of the central axis.
- a cistern arrangement comprises a cistern with a drain opening and a receptacle to which one of the hold-down devices can be connected, and a flush valve arrangement as described above.
- the flush valve holder is mounted in the drain opening.
- the second hold-down device is preferably connected to the cistern with its latching structure.
- a flush valve arrangement 1 is used to control the water withdrawal a cistern 29 is shown.
- the flush valve arrangement 1 essentially comprises a flush valve 2, a flush valve holder 7 and a hold-down unit 10.
- the flush valve 2 essentially comprises a housing 3 with a lower end 4 and an upper end 5 as well as a valve body 6 movably mounted in the housing 2 along a central axis M.
- the valve body 6 can be closed by a closed position in which no water from the Cistern can be removed, move into a flushing position in which water can flow out of the cistern 29.

Description
The present invention relates to a flush valve arrangement for controlling the withdrawal of water from a cistern according to the preamble of
Over time, the cisterns became more and more compact, which made modifications to the flush valves necessary. In particular, the flush valves have been modified for easy installation in the cistern.
The more compact design of the cisterns has the disadvantage that the flush valves are not fully accessible to the installer when installed. This means that the fitter cannot reach all areas of the cistern with his hand during installation or maintenance. As a result, parts of the flush valve cannot or can only be removed from the cistern with difficulty.
This object is achieved by the subject matter of
The separate design of the two hold-down devices has the advantage that the flush valve can be installed or removed in the cistern separately from the flush valve holder.
Installation is also easier because first the flush valve holder and then the flush valve can be inserted into the cistern. This is an advantage, especially when there is limited space in the cistern.
Furthermore, in the case of maintenance, for example, only the flush valve can be removed while the flush valve holder remains in the cistern. A seal is typically provided between the flush valve holder and the drain port. In this respect, the separation here has the advantage that the flush valve holder remains in the cistern when the flush valve is replaced or revised, so that the seal is not stressed. Such loads have a negative impact on the sealing effect.
The two hold-down devices are designed separately from one another and can be connected to one another at a connection point.
The connection point is preferably arranged at an easily accessible point so that the installer has good access to the connection point. The connection point is preferably designed in such a way that it can be detachably connected to the cistern.
The connection point is preferably closer to the upper end of the housing, as seen along the central axis, than in the case of the flushing valve holder. Alternatively, the junction is above the top of the housing. This arrangement has the advantage that the connection point can be arranged near a maintenance opening in the cistern. This means that the connection point is easily accessible through the maintenance opening. The maintenance opening is the opening that is typically located behind an actuator plate.
The active sections of the hold-down devices preferably act as close as possible to the bearing section of the flushing valve holder, in particular in the region of the receiving section, on the flushing valve and the flushing valve holder.
The connection point between the two hold-down devices is preferably provided by a snap connection between the first hold-down device and the second hold-down device.
The elements that provide the snap connection are firmly molded onto the respective hold-down device. The snap connection is preferably a direct connection between the two hold-down devices. That means there are no more Elements are present between the two hold-down devices.
The snap connection particularly preferably has flexible snaps and a receptacle. The snapper engage in the receptacle, which is preferably rigid. The flexible snapper are preferably arranged on the first hold-down device and the receptacle is preferably arranged on the second hold-down device.
The hold-down devices preferably extend essentially in the manner of a rod, in particular with a rectangular cross section, in the direction of the central axis. The connection point is preferably placed at the free ends of the hold-down devices. The free ends lie opposite the active sections.
This means that the hold-down devices are pulled from bottom to top by the rod-like sections along the housing, which, as mentioned, is conducive to accessibility.
The hold-down devices are preferably designed to be sprung. This means that the hold-down devices can be moved slightly resiliently towards and away from the housing.
The two hold-down devices preferably extend essentially parallel to one another, the first hold-down device being closer to the housing than the second hold-down device. The two hold-down devices are preferably close to the housing, which is advantageous for the compactness of the arrangement.
At least one of the hold-down devices, in particular the second hold-down device, preferably has a latching structure with which the hold-down device can be connected to a cistern, the latching structure preferably being closer to the connection point than the flush valve holder, or the latching structure in the area of the free end of the holding-down device or wherein the locking structure is at the level of the connection point.
Said, in particular the second, hold-down device is connected to the cistern via the latching structure, while the other, in particular the first, hold-down device is connected to the said, in particular to the second, hold-down device, preferably via the Connection point is in communication.
The arrangement of the latching structure in the area of the connection point has the advantage that the latching structure is also easily accessible.
At least one of the hold-down devices, in particular the second hold-down device, preferably has a compensating element between the active section and the connection point, with which position tolerances relative to the cistern can be compensated. The compensation element is preferably arranged in the area of the rod-like section and ensures that the rod-like section can compensate for angle errors.
The active section of the second hold-down device and the counterpart on the flushing valve holder are preferably designed as a mechanical connection, in particular as a latching connection. The connection is such that the second hold-down device can establish a fixed connection with the flushing valve holder. This means that the second hold-down device can be firmly connected to the flushing valve holder via the mechanical connection or the latching connection. This allows the flush valve holder with the hold-down device to be inserted into the cistern. The installer can grasp the unit consisting of the hold-down device and flush valve holder on the hold-down device and then insert the flush valve holder into the drain opening through the maintenance opening.
In another embodiment, it is also conceivable that the active area of the second hold-down device is integrally formed on the flushing valve holder. This results in the same advantages as with the latching connection.
The relative arrangement between the second hold-down device and the flushing valve holder is preferably such that a force can be applied evenly to the flushing valve holder in the direction of the central axis or that a force can be applied to the flushing valve holder at two locations that are essentially opposite with respect to the central axis . This can prevent the flush valve holder from tilting when it is inserted into the drain opening.
The connection between the second hold-down device and the flushing valve holder preferably allows an angular relative movement between the hold-down device and the flushing valve holder. This avoids tilting during assembly.
With regard to the latching connection, it is particularly preferred that two latching connections are arranged that are essentially opposite one another with respect to the central axis.
The latching connection preferably comprises a latching opening and a latching tab protruding into the latching opening.
The active section of the first hold-down device preferably comprises at least one spring section which acts on an edge region of the housing. Due to the spring-loaded design, forces that can occur during flushing can advantageously be introduced into the hold-down device.
The spring section preferably has the shape of a leaf spring.
The edge area of the housing is preferably a web protruding from the housing, the top of which is in contact with the hold-down device and the bottom of which rests on the flush valve holder, the web between the bottom and the top preferably being 5 millimeters thick. This enables the force to be introduced in the area of the lower end.
The first hold-down device is preferably mounted movably in a longitudinal guide on the outside of the housing. The longitudinal guide is oriented in the direction of the central axis.
A cistern arrangement comprises a cistern with a drain opening and a receptacle to which one of the hold-down devices can be connected, and a flush valve arrangement as described above. The flush valve holder is mounted in the drain opening. The second hold-down device is preferably connected to the cistern with its latching structure.
