Description

The present invention relates generally to a shoelace for easier lacing of shoes by a user who is used on a low shoe, orthopedic shoe or the like.

Shoes are essentially formed from a sole and a shaft, which allows the user's foot to be inserted and removed into the shoe through an opening. To close the opening of the shaft, eyelets or hooks are usually provided, which are formed on both sides of the opening in such a way that the opening is closed by tensioning the laces.

Users, especially infants and the disabled, often have great difficulty tying their shoelaces to lace a shoe, especially knotting the two end areas together. The tying, in particular the formation of a knot, of a shoelace comprises several steps in which the hands of the user have to grip the two end regions of the shoelace and the end regions are partially covered and have a complex relationship to one another. Markings can be attached to the free end regions of the shoelaces, which indicate how the shoelaces are to be tied U.S. Patent 2,646,630 to Miller shows a series of marks that make tying shoelaces easier. However, such techniques still require that a user grasp both ends of the shoelace with both hands throughout the binding sequence.

The object of the present invention is to provide a shoelace which facilitates the understanding of the individual steps by a user, so that he can bind the longitudinal ends of the shoelace more slowly and with less likelihood of failure.

A particular object of the present invention is to provide a shoelace that can be tied with one hand by the user.

This object is achieved by a shoelace for facilitating the lacing of shoes by a user, comprising an elongated core element, a lace cover, a first end area and a second end area, the core element having one or more core threads and the core element being at least partially enveloped by the tubular lace cover , wherein the core element has a flexible core thread in the region of the first end region for temporarily holding the second end region. Bendable is to be understood to mean a bending behavior, in particular elasticity or bending stiffness, which corresponds to that of a silver wire with a diameter of 0.4 to 3 mm or a higher elasticity. The elasticity of the core element preferably corresponds to that of a silver wire with a diameter of 0.4 to 3 mm. As a result of the fact that the second longitudinal end can be temporarily fixed in a frictional manner at the first end region Users can tie the shoe with one hand using the inventive laces. In a first step, the user bends the first end region with respect to the shoe into a desired position with one hand and then temporarily fixes the second end region at the first end region in a desired position for tying the shoelace relative to one another. The user then ties, or in particular ties the second longitudinal end to the first end region, the user being able to use any knot, provided that it can be linked with one hand.

The inventive shoelace is preferably formed from a flexible core thread, which consists of a wire-shaped metal, preferably silver, in order to ensure economical manufacture and long-term usability of the shoelace.

The flexible core thread of the shoelace preferably has a diameter of 0.4 to 2 mm, in particular 0.8 to .1.4 mm, very particularly preferably about 1 mm, in order to ensure sufficient rigidity and flexibility of the first end area for temporarily holding the second end area.

The flexible core thread preferably extends from the longitudinal end of the first end region with a length I to the second end region in order to ensure optimal positioning of the first end region with respect to the shoe. In particular, the length of the flexible core thread is 5 to 25 cm, preferably 15 to 18 cm, particularly preferably 5 to 10 cm. The first end region, in particular the free end for binding, is thereby fixed relative to the shoe in a constricted state in the shoe and can be positioned relative to the shoe by bending.

To protect the lacing cover, the laces each have one in the region of the longitudinal ends of the flexible core thread, in order to avoid damage to the lacing cover by the flexible core thread. In addition, the two pinkes ensured that the flexible core thread is held in the factory position, in particular they prevent the flexible core from shifting in the longitudinal direction of the lace cover within the lace, in particular the lace cover. The sleeve-shaped pinks are preferably made of metal or plastic or a similar material.

The first end region preferably has a holding device for temporarily holding the first end region by the user in relation to the shoe. Is it possible for the user to easily and safely position the first end area opposite the shoe with one hand. Furthermore, it is a tactile aid for the user to recognize the first end region without visual contact and to grasp it with one hand, in particular to temporarily position and / or hold it against the shoe.

The holding device is preferably attached to the first end area by an account point. The node prevents the second end region from sliding off in the knotted or bound state relative to the first end region, in particular an unwanted displacement of the second end region in the knotted or bound state in the direction of the longitudinal end of the first end region.

  1. a) Formen des erste Endbereich im Bereich das biegsamen Kernfadens zu einem u-förmigen Halteelement, sodass das zweite Längsende mittels dem Halteelement am ersten Endbereich (1) temporär festlegbar ist;
  2. b) temporäres Festlegen des zweiten Endbereich s am ersten Endbereich mittels dem Halteelement (11);
The following steps are preferably carried out for tying, in particular lacing a shoe with a shoelace:
  1. a) shaping the first end region in the region of the flexible core thread into a U-shaped holding element, so that the second longitudinal end can be temporarily fixed by means of the holding element on the first end region (1);
  2. b) temporarily fixing the second end region at the first end region by means of the holding element (11);
  3. c) Fixed accounts of the second end area s (2) at the first end area (1) with a node.

In the case of a shoelace threaded into a shoe, step a) can also be omitted or can be used to readjust the U-shaped holding element in order to secure the temporary fixability.

Because the second end region can be temporarily fixed at the first end region of the shoelace, the user is able to bind the second end region to the first end region by means of a freely selectable knot. It is thus possible for the user to tie the two longitudinal ends to one another in one desired position, in particular to tie them together, and thus to tie the shoe and thus to temporarily fix it to a foot of the user with one hand. In addition, the two longitudinal ends can be untied with one hand, so that the user can take off the shoe again.

Figure 1 shows a shoelace 25 according to the invention with a first end region 1 and a second end region 2. The shoelace 25 has a diameter of 2 to 8 mm and comprises a core element 8 and a lace cover 9, wherein the core element 8 and the lace cover 9 extend over the entire length of the lace 25. The lace cover 9 envelops the core element 8 and consists preferably of cotton, synthetic fiber or mixtures of these, in rare cases of leather. The core element 8 has one or more core threads 8a, 8b which ensure sufficient tensile strength of the shoelace 25 in the longitudinal direction of the shoelace 25. The core element 8, or the core threads 8a and 8b, preferably consists of fabric, fiber material, elastic plastic, PVC, metal or a mixture of these materials. The shoelace 25 designed according to the invention preferably has one or more flexible core threads 8b made of a wire-shaped metal, in particular silver, with a diameter of 1 mm in the region of the first end region 1. The flexible core thread 8b extends within the first end region 1, preferably from the second end region 2 of the first end region 1 with a length I to the second end region 2, preferably the length I is 5 to 25 cm, preferably 15 to 18 cm, particularly preferably 5 to 10 cm.

The flexible core thread 8b is held at a position within the lace cover 9 by means of at least one pink. The pink 3, 4 and 7 are sleeve-shaped and comprise the shoelace 25 radially. How out Figure 1 it can be seen that the shoelace 25 preferably has a pink 3 and 7 at each of its two ends in order to prevent the ends of the shoelace 25 from fraying. In the in Figure 1 In the illustrated embodiment, the flexible core thread 8b is held in position by two pinks 3 and 4, which are arranged at the end region of the flexible core thread 8b, and to prevent damage to the lace cover 9 by the flexible core thread 8b. In the first end region 1, the shoelace 25 has a loop-shaped holding device 6, which preferably has a structure similar to that of the second end region 2. The holding device 6 is preferably fastened to the first end region 1 by means of a node 5, preferably sewn on. The node 5 serves as a tactile orientation aid for the user and facilitates the formation of a node between the first end area 1 and the second end area 2.

Figure 4 shows a cross section of the shoelace 25 according to the invention from Figure 1 . In the present exemplary embodiment, the core element 8, which is radially encompassed by the lace sleeve 9, has two core threads 8a and 8b, 8b being the flexible core thread made of a wire-shaped metal. The core element 8 can of course have further core threads. The core thread 8a is preferably formed continuously between the two ends of the shoelace, or between the two end regions 1 and 2, in order to ensure sufficient tensile strength in the longitudinal direction of the shoelace 25.

Figure 3 shows a top view shaft 21, 22 of a shoe with the shoelace 25 according to FIG 1 and 2 . Shoes are essentially formed from a sole (not shown) and a shaft 21 and 22 which, through an opening, allows a user's foot (not shown) to be inserted and removed into the shoe. To close the opening of the shaft 21, the shaft 21 and 22 have eyelets 23a, 23b, 23c and 23d, which are formed on both sides of the opening in such a way that the opening can be closed by tensioning the laces 25. The laces 25 according to the invention can be guided in the eyelets 23a, 23b, 23c, 23d using different lacing methods. In the present exemplary embodiment, the shop lacing is used. The first end region 1 has a U-shaped bend in the region of the node 5, which serves to temporarily fix the second end region 2. The second end region can preferably be fixed temporarily with the first end region. The flexible core thread 8b preferably extends into the region of the shaft 21 and 22 so that the first end region 2 can be fixed relative to the shoe.

Figure 4 shows a partial view of Figure 2 with a tied shoelace 25. The two end regions 1 and 2 are connected by means of a knot 12, which is arranged on the side of the node point 5 facing away from the longitudinal end of the first end region 1, in order to prevent the shaft 21 from being loaded, for example when the user is walking, prevent a displacement of the node 12 and thus an unwanted widening of the opening 27.
