Description
The present invention relates to a dye-releasing product, in particular for dyeing or refreshing dyeings in textile materials, in particular jeans or denim materials, preferably in a washing machine, comprising a flat, cloth-like carrier material, a method for dyeing or refreshing Colorings in textile materials and uses for this.
Textile products in the form of cloths are known from the prior art, which prevent graying of white or light-colored laundry, that is, textile, soiled materials. Such textile products have, for example, cationic resins or substances with a similar effect which, in combination with other substances, prevent laundry from graying even after repeated washing processes.
The reverse is the case with dark, in particular blue or red items of laundry, in particular those made of jeans or denim materials. These, too, can slowly fade after repeated washing. So-called black detergents are known here, which help to prevent dark laundry from fading. Such black detergents are used like customary liquid detergents for washing, especially in washing machines. However, the mode of action of the known black detergents available on the market is not such that the fading, in particular of dark laundry, can be stopped permanently.
In the case of items of laundry made from jeans or denim material, there is also another problem, namely to maintain the jeans character. Jeans materials often have their own unique character, which would be lost if they were colored with a common, for example blue, dye. An appropriately colored piece of jeans underwear would then have the character of blue work trousers rather than jeans.
There is therefore a need to stop the fading of dark, in particular denim, laundry or at least to slow down the fading in view of repeated washing processes without impairing the character of the item of laundry.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a product which prevents the fading of darker laundry, in particular of jeans, even after repeated washing processes.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a dye-releasing product for dyeing or refreshing dyeings in textile materials, preferably in a washing machine, comprising a flat, cloth-like carrier material, at least one coating applied to the carrier material and at least one indigoid dye comprised by the coating in oxidized form, wherein the coating further comprises at least one binder for the at least one dye, so that the at least one dye starts at a temperature of about 20 ° C in an aqueous solution, the coating being at least partially detachable from the flat carrier material that is added to the textile material to be dyed or refreshed in the dyeing process. Insofar as the present invention refers to indigoid dye or even just dye in the following, this always means an indigoid dye in oxidized form. The same also applies with regard to the fact that in the following in connection with the invention only a flat carrier material or only a carrier material is referred to, which always means a flat, cloth-like material in the context of the present invention. The color-releasing product according to the invention can be used for dyeing textile materials, but preferably for freshening up colorations in textile materials. Textile materials according to the present invention are in particular those made from cotton, natural fibers or polyamide or mixtures of the aforementioned materials. Jeans or denim materials are particularly preferred. Denim materials are particularly characterized by the fact that either only the weft thread or only the warp thread is colored. The color-releasing product according to the invention is preferably not a detergent in the sense that it cleans the laundry. Rather, it dyes the laundry or refreshes an existing coloration of textile materials in the laundry.
-eigenschaften.If conventional dyes, for example a blue dye in the case of a blue piece of jeans, were used to freshen up or color the same, the result would be a uniform dyeing result, so that the jeans character would be lost. In the context of the present invention, dyeings are refreshed if fading of dark, in particular jeans, laundry is prevented, i.e. the fading slows down or fading is even stopped or stopped when the textile materials in question are washed several times faded laundry again becomes more intense in color. According to the spirit and purpose of the present invention, the dye-releasing product is free from dye traps, for example free from polyvinylpyrrolidones with dye trapping effects or properties.
Washing tests with the product according to the invention, equipped with dark or blue or red indigoid dye or dye mixtures, have shown that, even after washing dark or denim textiles twenty times, the fading of the same is significantly reduced or even stopped, whereas in a comparative test after twenty times washing clear fading of blue or red jeans textiles was noticeable without adding the color-releasing product.
The product according to the invention consists essentially of a flat, cloth-like carrier material and a coating applied to it. The at least one indigoid dye is preferably present in the coating in oxidized form. The flat, cloth-like carrier material can also be referred to as a dye cloth. The size of the flat carrier material can be freely selected and, depending on this, also the amount of the applied coating including the at least one dye comprised by it. For example, sizes of 10 x 10 cm or 13.5 x 19.5 cm are conceivable for the flat carrier material. In the case of color blankets of these sizes, the amount of coating can be in a range from approximately 200 mg to approximately 7,000 mg, preferably in a range from approximately 350 mg to approximately 2,000 mg. In the coating present on the flat carrier material, quantities of the at least one dye are advantageously in a range from about 80 mg, preferably from about 100 mg, to about 1,000 mg, preferably in a range from about 110 mg to about 600 mg. What is particularly preferred about the product according to the invention is that it advantageously appears very light or white instead of a dark, especially blue or red color, depending on the flat carrier material used, after use when it is removed from a washing machine, for example, and thus the actual color of the flat carrier material is clear is visible. This gives the user immediate feedback on the effectiveness of the product according to the invention. This has its basis in the fact that the on the flat carrier material applied coating is peeled off during use and at least partially releases the dye.
According to the invention, the coating comprises at least one binder for the at least one dye, so that the at least one dye can be released into an aqueous solution from a temperature of about 20 ° C. The at least one dye is preferably released or released in that the coating is at least partially detached from the flat carrier material in a washing process, so that the binder is also at least partially detached from the flat carrier material. Due to the release or release of the at least one dye, after a washing process, a light-colored, for example a white or almost white, used product when using a white-colored flat carrier material is obtained, from which the user of the color-releasing product according to the invention can immediately see its function and effect.
The at least one dye is preferably released into an aqueous solution in a temperature range from about 25 ° C. to about 95 ° C., more preferably in a temperature range from about 30 ° C. to about 65 ° C.. The aqueous solution is particularly preferably made alkaline. The aqueous solution particularly preferably has a pH in a range from about 7 to about 14, more preferably in a range from about 7.5 to about 13. The aqueous solution particularly preferably contains a detergent, preferably a powder detergent. The coating is particularly preferably designed in such a way that when the color-releasing product according to the invention is used by the user, when the user hands the product into the hand and, for example, into a washing machine to carry out a washing process, the coating does not become detached from the flat carrier material and in particular the at least one dye is not transferred to the user's hand. The coating on the at least one flat carrier material can be one or more layers, for example two or three layers and, for example, sprayed with a doctor blade or applied to the flat material with a dyeing machine. In the case of multiple coatings, the amount of dye on the sheet-like carrier material can be increased so that the amount of the same on the material can easily be increased in one production process. The coating can moreover be carried out on one or on both sides of the flat carrier material. However, this is preferably only applied to one side of the flat carrier material. The coating can, for example, also be carried out in the form of a design, for example a company logo or the like.

The coating preferably comprises at least two binders, in particular those as described above. Particularly preferably, a first binder, which is preferably a polyvinyl acetate, has a pH value in a range from about 3.5 to about 5.5 and a second binder, which is preferably a polyester, has a pH value in a range of about 5.6 to about 9. The at least one binder is particularly preferably non-ionic.
The at least one indigo dyestuff in oxidized form is particularly preferably selected from a group comprising indigo, indigo rubine, indigo carmine, purple and their derivatives. Exemplary derivatives are brilliant indigo 4B (Cibablau 2B) or thioindigo. Indigo is particularly preferred. Indigo is also known by the chemical name 2, 2 'bis (2,3-dihydro-3-oxoindolylidene). The indigoid dyes used according to the invention in oxidized form are distinguished by the fact that they are only slightly or slightly soluble in Are water. They are preferably grainy. They can therefore also be addressed as color pigments. They therefore have pigment-like properties. It is known from the prior art to use the named dyes as so-called vat dyes, these being first reduced and then applied to the textile material and finally being oxidized again. Indigo, for example, is first converted into the slightly yellowish indigo white (reduced form) and then oxidized again to blue indigo. The indigoid dyes used according to the invention in oxidized form are preferably nonionic. These are particularly preferably not functionalized, in particular not with ionic groups. They preferably have no ionic groups. They preferably do not react with other constituents of the color-releasing product according to the invention. Surprisingly, it has been shown that when the oxidized form is used immediately in the coating of the color-releasing product according to the invention, very good results are obtained with regard to the refreshing of colors or dyes of items of laundry, in particular of jeans items of laundry in blue or red coloration typical jeans character retained.
The at least one indigoid dye particularly preferably has a pH in a range from about 6 to about 11, more preferably in a range from about 6.5 to about 8.5. If the indigoid dye is present in the aforementioned orders of magnitude or ranges, in particular in a mixture with the at least one binder, in particular in the form of a coating on a cloth-like carrier material, the coloring effect or the refreshment of the coloring is further improved, and smaller amounts can also be used to be used in dye. The at least one indigoid dye is preferably present in oxidized form in granular form in the at least one binder, in particular in the form of a coating on a cloth-like carrier material.
To the extent that values or value ranges are further characterized by the term “approximately” within the scope of the present invention, this is to be understood as a tolerance range which the person skilled in the art in this field considers to be common. In particular, a tolerance range with respect to the specified values or value ranges of + - 20%, preferably + - 10%, more preferably + -5%, and even more preferably + - 2% is provided. At least two indigoid dyes are particularly preferably provided in the coating. It is very particularly preferred that exactly two dyes are provided in the coating. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the coating has a blue color such as indigo and a reddish color such as indigo carmine. So far at least two If dyes are provided in the coating, these are each in an amount in a range from about 15% by weight to about 49% by weight, preferably each in an amount in a range from about 25% by weight to about 49% by weight .-%, based in each case on the total amount of the coating, in this. If exactly two dyes are present in the coating, they can particularly preferably be present in identical amounts in it. Different amounts of at least two indigoid dyes are present in particular when the binder is selected from a group comprising natural and / or synthetic resins, in particular the preferred resins mentioned above or mixtures thereof. The parameters defined above advantageously lead to the fact that no dust formation occurs on the flat, cloth-like carrier material due to the coating applied to it, in particular due to the at least one indigoid dye comprised by this in oxidized form. Particularly in the event of kinking or other deformation of the flat carrier material, the preferred parameters mentioned relating to the dye, but also to the binder, reliably prevent the coating from crumbling on the flat carrier material. The binder advantageously serves to prevent the indigoid dye from crumbling on the flat product, in particular in the form of the preferred or particularly preferred binders set out above. In this way, it is also possible to avoid the color on the hands of the user, and consequently a sufficiently firm adhesion of the indigoid dye to the flat carrier material can be achieved.
The ratio of the amount of the at least one binder to the at least one indigoid dye in the coating on the color-releasing product according to the invention is in a range from about 1: 1 to about 1: 5, preferably in a range from about 1: 1.25 to about 1: 3.
The coloring product according to the invention can moreover advantageously comprise at least one thickener in the coating. The at least one thickener is advantageously used to adjust the viscosity, depending on the use of the binders or dyes used. The at least one thickener is particularly preferably selected from a group comprising polyacrylates, in particular those in an aqueous dispersion. The polyacrylate is preferably anion-active. The at least one thickener is advantageously used in a range from about 1% by weight to about 3.5% by weight, preferably up to about 2% by weight, based on the total amount of the coating.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the color-releasing product comprises urea in an amount in a range from about 2% by weight to about 30% by weight, more preferably in an amount in a range from about 4% by weight to about 27% by weight, based in each case on the total amount of the coating on the color-releasing product. The urea serves to keep the viscosity more or less constant when the coating is applied to a flat carrier material and thus in particular to prevent the coating compound from thickening after it has been applied to the fleece.
The ink-releasing product according to the invention can also advantageously comprise at least one dispersant, at least one wetting agent, at least one complexing agent and / or at least one anti-flocculant in the coating. For this purpose, the at least one dispersant is particularly useful. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the present invention, however, the color-releasing product in the coating and also the coating composition according to the invention described further below do not comprise any of the aforementioned agents, or at least at least one dispersant.
According to the invention, the at least one flat carrier material is a nonwoven fabric. The flat, cloth-like carrier material is preferably white or has a light color.
The flat, cloth-like carrier material is preferably made from fibers which are not directly colored by the at least one indigoid dye. The at least one flat carrier material is particularly preferably one which gives off dyes applied to it well, that is to say that they can be detached from it easily to very well, preferably at least partially together with the coating.
Preference is given to using predominantly synthetic fibers to form the fleece, preferably polymer fibers and / or combinations of natural and synthetic fibers. The flat carrier material preferably has a flexible character, it has good grip properties and can be easily handled by the user. For the production of a preferred polymer-based nonwoven fabric for the purposes of the present invention, any thread-forming polymers which, in their melt or solution, have properties which meet the requirements for spinnability can be used. For example, polymers from the group of polyolefins as homopolymers or blends, polyamides, polyesters, degradable polymers, for example based on polylactic acid or starch, are suitable for producing these nonwovens. Polyolefin-based nonwovens have proven to be particularly advantageous for the flat carrier material, the flat carrier material being particularly preferably a viscose-polyester nonwoven. The flat carrier material and thus the preferred fleece can be designed in one or more layers. Single-layer materials can, for example, consist of fibers and / or filaments, of staple or continuous threads, which are produced, for example, by a spunbond process or meltblown process or Carding processes or a wet spinning process can be used to produce the flat carrier material. Multi-layer nonwovens can be formed, for example, on a polymer basis, with intermediate layers also being able to be formed which are predominantly or completely formed from fibers other than the outer layers and, for example, can also be formed from natural or degradable fibers. As an alternative to the nonwovens preferred for the purposes of the present invention as flat carrier materials, porous film layers can also be used. Usual weights per unit area of the nonwovens or porous film layers for forming a flat carrier material are between about 10 g / m 2 to about 200 g / m 2 , preferably in a range between about 25 g / m 2 to about 100 g / m 2 . Multi-layer structures can be produced in separate processing processes or in one processing process, for example inline. The fiber or filament diameter of a nonwoven preferably used according to the invention can be in a range from less than about 0.001 mm to more than about 0.2 mm, the fiber cross-sections being round, non-round, for example elliptical, rectangular, polygonal or multilobal, preferably trilobal can. The fibers and / or filaments can be designed as monofilaments or multi-component filaments. The fibers can be bonded within the fleece by thermobonding, adhesive bonding, for example by means of hot-melt adhesive or needling, hydroentanglement or the like.
Both the design of the fiber cross-sections, the thickness and the layer structure of the flat carrier material as well as the combination of natural and / or synthetic fibers have an influence on increasing the color transferability of the at least one dye or the at least one coating of the product according to the invention. The flat material can also be made from different materials and, for example, also have a lamination on one side with, for example, a colorant-impermeable foil or film, so that the risk of discoloration when the user is using it is reduced. If a viscose-polyester fleece is used, this can have equal proportions of viscose and polyester. However, it can also be provided that one of the two constituents is present in a larger amount than the other.
Accordingly, in the particularly preferred viscose-polyester nonwoven, the proportion of viscose can be in a range from about 40% by weight to about 50% by weight, the proportion of polyester in a range from about 40% by weight to about 60% % By weight, each based on the total amount of the fleece. The thickness of the flat carrier material is preferably in a range between approximately 0.2 mm and approximately 1.2 mm, preferably in a range between approximately 0.35 mm and approximately 0.8 mm. Alternative nonwoven materials can for example consist of polyethylene or polypropylene or mixtures of these.
Particularly preferably, the sheet-like carrier material cannot be colored by the at least one indigoid dye. This preferably leads to the effect that, after a washing process has been carried out, the user can, for example, remove the flat carrier material from the washing machine in a light or white form, so that the user immediately has an impression of the effect of the product according to the invention used.

These and other advantages of the present invention are explained in more detail with reference to the following exemplary embodiments.
A first coating composition was prepared from 83.5% by weight water, 16% by weight indigo (oxidized form), and 0.5% by weight gum arabic. The percentages by weight are based on the total amount of the coating composition. Gum arabic was first dissolved in a little water and then added to the mixture. 6 g of the aforementioned mixture were applied by means of air knives to a fleece as a flat carrier material measuring 13.5 cm × 19.5 cm with a weight per unit area of 50 g / m 2 , and the cloth was then dried at 50.degree. As a result, a coating formed on the flat material which had about 2.6% by weight of gum arabic and about 97.4% by weight of dye. A viscose-polyester fleece with a thickness of 0.5 mm was used as the fleece. It was white in color. When the similarly manufactured product was added to a wash of textile, blue jeans trousers in a commercially available washing machine with the addition of the usual amounts of a commercially available powder detergent, the washed jeans garments remained almost completely unchanged even after twenty washings .
A second coating composition was prepared which contained 80% by weight of water, 5.5% by weight of a nonionic binder based on polyester, 2.5% by weight of a further nonionic binder based on a vinyl acetate homopolymer, and 12% by weight. -% Indigo (oxidized form) comprised. The percentages by weight are based on the total amount of the coating composition. This second coating composition was applied by air knife to a flat, cloth-like carrier material in the form of a fleece identical to that used for the first coating composition, measuring 13.5 cm × 19.5 cm and then drying at 100.degree. The amount of dried coating on the nonwoven was about 24 g / m 2 , corresponding to about 0.63 g of dried coating. About 40% by weight of the two binders and about 60% by weight of the indigo were present in the coating. 20 washes of blue jeans trousers were carried out each with one product, and the weight of the product was weighed before and after the wash. There was a difference of 0.5 g to 0.6 g, that is, the coating had almost completely detached from the sheet-like carrier material. The flat carrier material obtained in the form of the fleece was almost white. Even after 20 washes, the laundry washed with this product showed no signs of fading.
Corresponding to the second coating composition, a third coating composition was prepared with 74.3% by weight of water, 7.2% by weight of a first binder based on a polyester, 2.5% by weight of a second binder based on a vinyl acetate homopolymer and 16% by weight of the indigoid dye indigo carmine. The weight percentages relate to the total amount of the coating composition. This third aqueous coating composition was applied by means of an air knife to a flat material in the form of a fleece, as already described above in connection with the first coating composition, and then dried at 100.degree. The coating on the finished ink-releasing product consisted of about 38% by weight of the two binders and about 62% by weight of indigo carmine. The amount of coating on the substrate was about 1g. With the color-releasing product obtained by the third coating composition, a total of 20 washes with dark red laundry were carried out in a commercially available washing machine using a conventional powder detergent, in accordance with the above statements relating to the second coating composition. The washing took place, here as in the aforementioned cases, at 40 ° C with a colored laundry program. Dark red jeans trousers and a dark red T-shirt were used as laundry. The commercially available powder detergent was, for example, the Ariel® Color detergent from Procter & Gamble Service GmbH, Schwalbach am Taunus, Germany. Also in the case of the color-releasing products based on the third coating composition tested in the 20 washes, the weight of the fleece was tested before and after the wash and it was found that it was about 1g lighter on average after the wash, which means that as good as entire coating had detached itself from the flat carrier material in the form of a fleece. The fleece was almost white. The dark red wash showed no signs of fading.
With the color-releasing product according to the invention and the coating composition as well as the described method and the use of the product according to the invention, a product for dyeing or refreshing dyeing of laundry, in particular jeans or denim materials, is provided which is easy for the end user to handle.
