Such a carrier bag for carrying on one side of the body of a person comprises a main body with a first peripheral side and a substantially figure-8-shaped carrier device. The main body of the bag can be worn on the right or left side of the body, as the wearer likes. The section of the first circumferential side that lies between the two ends thus closes the first loop and becomes part of the carrying device. In the second variant, in turn, part of the first loop runs along at least a section of the first circumferential side. For example, the first loop is formed by an annular cord.
