Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schmuckkörper, wie ein Schmuckstück, insbesondere ein ringförmiges Schmuckstück, oder einen Teil eines Schmuckstückes nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 sowie eine Schmuck-Legierung zur Herstellung eines solchen Schmuckkörpers. Der Schmuckkörper ist dabei aus einer Platinlegierung mit einem Anteil aus Kupfer hergestellt.
  • Aus EP 2 260 116 B1 ist eine Platin-Schmucklegierung bekannt, die einen Anteil an Platin zwischen 50,0 bis 70,0 Gew.-% und einen Anteil an Kupfer und/oder Silber zwischen 0,5 bis 40,0 Gew.-% aufweist. Die Legierung ist dabei derart zusammengesetzt, dass sie insbesondere die Herstellung von Halbzeugen im Stranggussverfahren ermöglicht.
  • US 7,001,473 B2 offenbart ein Metallpulvergemisch zur Herstellung einer Platin-Kupfer-Legierung, das 58 Gew.-% Platin und 42 Gew.-% enthält. Durch den ferner beschriebenen Schmelzvorgang soll dabei eine Phasentrennung vermieden und eine leichtere Verarbeitung ermöglicht werden.
  • DE 20 2004 021 558 U1 beschreibt eine Legierungszusammensetzung für die Herstellung von Schmuckerzeugnissen, die 55 bis 62 Gew.-% Platin, 27 bis 43 Gew.-% Kupfer sowie 2 bis 10 Gew.-% Cobalt enthält.
  • Neben den bekannten Legierungen besteht am Schmuckmarkt ein Bedarf an Platin-Legierungen, die insbesondere bei der Herstellung von hochwertigem Platinschmuck, wie insbesondere Trauringen, einerseits eine leichtere Verarbeitung und ein sicheres Fassen von Zierelementen ermöglichen sowie andererseits eine hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Beschädigungen oder sonstige Gebrauchsspuren gewährleisten.
  • Die Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, bei einem gattungsgemäßen Schmuckkörper eine leichtere Herstellung und zudem eine hohe Härte des fertiggestellten Schmuckstückes zu ermöglichen.
  • Diese Aufgabe wird durch den Schmuckkörper mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Dabei besteht die Platinlegierung aus wenigstens 58,0 bis 60,5 Gew.-% Platin, wenigstens 35,0 bis 40,0 Gew.-% Kupfer und wenigstens 0,06 bis 0,26 Gew.-% Mangan. Durch den hohen Kupferanteil ist die Platinlegierung während der Herstellung des Schmuckstückes relativ weich und dadurch besonders leicht und mit einem hohen Detaillierungsgrad zu verarbeiten. Die zusätzliche Verwendung des Mangans sorgt dabei dafür, dass das Schmuckstück insbesondere durch zusätzliche Kaltbearbeitung mit einer Härte versehen werden kann, die einen Härtegrad von 240 bis 260 Vickers, vorzugsweise über 250 Vickers erreichen kann.
  • In einer besonders vorteilhaften Ausführungsform besteht die Platinlegierung aus 59,5 bis 62,0 Gew.-% Platin, 37,0 bis 42,0 Kupfer und 0,1 bis 0,3 Gew.-% Mangan. Innerhalb dieser Wertebereiche wird ein besonders geeignetes Verhältnis zwischen Verarbeitbarkeit des Ausgangsmaterials und Härtegrad des fertiggestellten Schmuckstückes erreicht. Zudem erzeugt die Legierung in dieser Zusammensetzung einen besonders prägenden Weißton des Schmuckkörpers. Ferner ermöglicht die Legierung in dieser Zusammensetzung eine besonders stabile Fassung von Zierelementen, wie insbesondere Steinen.
  • Im Folgenden wird eine beispielhafte Zusammensetzung der Schmucklegierung und Ausführungsform des Schmuckkörpers angegeben:

    38,6 Gew.-% Kupfer,
    0,12 Gew.-% Mangan
  • Die Wärmebehandlung eines aus der Legierung hergestellten, beispielsweise ringförmigen Schmuckkörpers mit einem wenigstens 58,0 %igen Reinhaltsgehalt an Platin erfolgt bei einer Glühtemperatur der Legierung zwischen 670 und 690°.
  • Bei einer Ringweite zwischen 52 und 64 mm wird dabei eine Weichhärte von 220 bis 230 HV und nach Kaltverformung des Schmuckringes eine Härte von 240 bis 260 HV erzielt.

Claims (4)

  1. Schmuckkörper aus einer kupferhaltigen Platinlegierung,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Platinlegierung aus
    wenigstens 58,0 Gew.-% Platin,
    wenigstens 35,0 Gew.-% Kupfer und
    wenigstens 0,06 Gew.-% Mangan
    besteht.
  2. Schmuckkörper nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Platinlegierung aus 58,0 bis 60,5 Gew.-% Platin 35,0 bis 40,0 Gew.-% Kupfer und 0,06 bis 0,26 Gew.-% Mangan
    besteht.
  3. Schmuckkörper nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Platinlegierung aus 59,5 bis 62,0 Gew.-% Platin 37,0 bis 42,0 Gew.-% Kupfer und 0,1 bis 0,3 Gew.-% Mangan
    besteht.
  4. Schmuck-Legierung zur Herstellung eines Schmuckkörpers nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3.
