Definitions
- the present invention relates to an industrial truck with a driver platform and a remote control.
- vehicles are used on which the driver can ride while standing on the operator platform.
- a person switch on the driver's platform that functions as a dead man's switch. If the person switch does not respond, control of the vehicle is blocked by the control levers attached to the operator platform. This prevents, for example, a forward drive command or a steering movement of the vehicle from being carried out even though the driver is no longer on the vehicle.
- the invention has for its object to provide an industrial truck with a step device and a remote control that can be operated safely with simple means.
- the industrial truck according to the invention has the features of claim 1.
- the industrial truck is equipped with a step device provided close to a driver's platform and with a remote control. Via the remote control one or more functions of the vehicle can be controlled.
- a controller is provided for this, which can switch a remote control mode on and off. In the remote control mode, control of vehicle functions by the remote control is possible. If the remote control mode is not switched on, no signals from the remote control can be implemented.
- the kicking device is equipped with a person switch, on the actuation of which the control switches off the remote control mode. When the remote control mode is switched off, it ensures that the truck cannot be controlled remotely when the driver is standing on the step. For example, the driver is also protected from surprises on the operator platform, for example by accidentally pressing the remote control.
- the operator platform is equipped with a second person switch.
- the operator platform is equipped with a second person switch, the control of which also switches off the remote control mode in response to its actuation.
- the step device on the driver's platform makes it possible to reach into a higher shelf level from the driver's platform via the step device. In this way, the order picker can, for example, grab goods and goods lying higher up with little effort.
- the step device is arranged, for example, 20 cm to 50 cm higher than the operator platform. Since the driver standing on the step device releases the driver platform, but the step device has the person switch, it can be ensured that no unwanted remote control takes place when the operator is working on the driver platform or the step device.
- the remote control mode is only switched on when none of the person switches is actuated. This ensures that a person is neither standing on the driver's platform nor on the kicking device and is surprised by an erroneously or accidentally operated remote control and the movement of the vehicle caused by this.
- a further alternative embodiment provides that the remote control mode is switched on when none of the person switches is actuated and when after the person switch of the step device has responded, the second person switch of the driver's platform has first responded.
- This configuration is based on the following consideration: a driver who reaches over the step means higher goods, when he leaves the vehicle completely, will first return from the step device to the driver's platform and trigger a corresponding signal from the second person switch. If, on the other hand, the driver climbs from the kicking device, for example to a vehicle hood, he also leaves the kicking device and none of the person switches speaks, but the industrial truck is not in a state in which it responds to the remote control. The remote control mode is therefore switched on when the driver leaves the kicking device via the driver's platform.
- an operating element provided on the vehicle is likewise locked in the remote control mode that is switched off. Also it can be provided for this control element to block it when the second person switch responds. In this way it is ensured that when the operator stands on the step device, the vehicle cannot be controlled by the control element either.
- the control element can be, for example, a steering wheel or individual switches provided on the steering wheel. This is particularly important in order to prevent inadvertent actuation of the control element on the industrial truck.
- the control element on the driver's platform is blocked when none of the person switches are actuated and if the person switch is previously operated the kick device was actuated. It is therefore based on the sequence of the person switches and if the second person switch was actuated immediately before all person switches were released, the control element on the driver's platform is blocked and also remains blocked. In the event that an operator climbs onto the vehicle and its hood from the step device, the reverse order is that the person switch on the step device was last actuated before no actuation of one of the person switches. In this sequence, the remote control and the controls on the vehicle are then preferably blocked.
- the driver's platform has a movably arranged platform and the second person switch is actuated by a weight on the platform.
- the standing platform can, for example, be articulated at one end and be resiliently mounted at its free end.
- the person switch located below the standing platform can then be actuated via the free end, for example.
- the standing platform articulated on one side it can also be mounted as a whole, for example translationally movable.
- a switch mat is a mat-shaped arrangement of switches that respond and are switched when the operator platform is entered.
- the step device is equipped with a movably arranged step surface, upon entering which the second person switch triggers.
- the tread for example at one end via a hinge, and to mount the free end of the tread resiliently.
- the second person switch is then triggered by stepping on the step surface.
- the second person switch can be designed, for example, as an induction switch which responds to a movement of the tread.
- the second person switch as an optical switch which is aligned with the step surface.
- a light barrier or an optical brightness measurement determines that a foot is placed on the step surface.
- the step surface can be equipped with a switch mat that switches in response to a weight and thus actuates the second person switch for the step device.
- the driver's stand has a rear wall.
- the rear wall can be provided with a backrest, a cushion for leaning against or a support for a standing operator.
- the rear wall is preferably located on the side of the operator's station facing the load carrying means.
- the step device can also be arranged pivotably in the rear wall and folded out for use.
- Fig. 1 shows an industrial truck 1 with a driver platform 2.
- the driver platform 2 has a second person switch 4.
- the second person switch 4 responds when the driver platform 2 is loaded with a weight.
- the industrial truck 1 also has a step device 3 on which a driver can climb in order to be able to reach higher on the shelf.
- the drive part 5 of the industrial truck delimits the driver's platform 2 on the opposite side.
- the drive part 5 has an operating element 6 which, as a steering wheel for specifying the direction of travel, is equipped with operating levers for lifting and lowering.
- a rear wall 7 is provided opposite the drive part 5 and is provided on the side of the driver's platform 2 facing the load carrying means 9.
- the rear wall 7 has handles 10 at its upper free end, with which the driver can hold onto the load carrying means 9 while driving.
- the situation arises that the driver climbs from the operator platform 2 onto the step device 3 in order to reach higher on the shelf.
- the situation can also arise that the driver climbs onto the drive part 5 or its hood.
- a step 8 is provided here, which allows the driver to reach even higher into the shelf.
- a remote control unit for the industrial truck, this enables the driver, standing or walking next to the vehicle, to give it driving commands.
- a remote control is particularly helpful in the context of picking activities, so that you do not have to constantly return to the vehicle for short distances.
- a so-called push-button travel switch can also be provided, which makes it possible to operate the vehicle standing or walking by a handle on the control element. Tactile operation is comparable to remote control in that the operator can also be removed from the vehicle and still be able to operate it.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show the driver's rear wall with the step device 3.
- an optical sensor 15 is provided in the driver's rear wall, which optically detects the tread surface.
- the optical sensor 15 can be designed as a brightness sensor or as a light barrier, which is triggered by a foot placed on the step surface 8. In this way, the optical sensor 15, as the person switch of the step device, supplies the information as to whether an operator is standing on the step surface 8 of the step device 3.
- Fig. 3 an alternative embodiment for the person sensor of the step device is shown.
- the step device 3 is provided with a step mat 25.
- the foot mat 25 responds to a weight and thus triggers the signal as a second person switch that the step device is used by an operator.
- the first case relates to the situation in which none of the person switches is activated.
- control of the industrial truck can assume that an operator is not standing on the driver's platform and not on the step device.
- the remote control can be enabled by activating a remote control mode. An actuation of the controls and their switches is usually blocked in this situation because there is no driver on board.
- This mode of operation is particularly suitable for industrial trucks that have no tread 8 on the drive part. It can thus be reliably detected that there is no driver on board.
- the temporal Sequence of actuation of the person switch can be evaluated.
- the assumption is made that an operator leaves the industrial truck from the driver's station.
- a remote control for the vehicle is permitted if the person switch of the step device and then the second person switch of the driver's station has been actuated.
- This sequence must exist when no person switch is operated.
- the controller can then assume that the operator, actuating the step device, operated the second person sensor before the vehicle was left. This sequence is based on the consideration that an operator, coming from the kicking device, enters the driver's stand before he leaves the vehicle and the remote control can thus be activated.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show the kick device 3 closer.
- the kick device 3 has a U-shaped frame 12, the leg 14 via hooks 16 in the rear wall can be hung.
- the legs 14 have a contact web 18 with which the U-shaped frame 12 rests securely on the rear wall.
- a flange 22 is provided on the inside of the legs 14, which also has a bore 24.
- the flange 22 can be additionally secured to the rear wall via the bore 24.
- the hook 16, with which the step device can first be hooked in before it is secured via the bore 24 in the rear wall, is particularly advantageous for the assembly.
- the flange 22 has an angled hinge section 26 on which a tread 28 is pivotally held. As in Fig. 5 To recognize, the tread 28 is biased by two coil springs 30 so that the tread 28 is loaded against the bias of the springs 30.
- a cable 32 is also shown in sections, which leads to a person sensor on the side facing away from the step surface 28.
- the second person sensor is also queried to enable the remote control mode, it is necessary for the second person sensor to be actuated once when the industrial truck is started up for the first time. This can be done via the control system without having to enter the step device or, in an alternative embodiment, it is also possible for an operator to manually actuate the second person switch once the industrial truck has been started up.
- Fig. 6a shows a sectional view through the kick device from the side.
- the flange 22 with its bore 24 can be seen.
- the hook 16 of the leg 24 can also be seen.
- the tread surface 28 that it is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis 29 and that the free end of the tread surface 28 is supported on a spring 30.
- the person switch can be used in the design in Fig. 6a For example, an optical sensor that is not shown in the sectional view.
- Fig. 6b shows a corresponding embodiment with an induction sensor 33, the signals of which are forwarded via line 34 for further processing. Even when using an induction switch 33, the free end of the step surface 28 is supported by a spring 30.
- Figures 7a and 7b show in a state diagram the transitions between the individual possible vehicle states.
- Starting from a vehicle start 36 are the two possible branches via the step 38 and the driver's platform 42. If one considers the step 38, it can be actuated 44. If no actuation 44 takes place, the state returns to the driver's platform 42 via the state NO 40. If the driver's platform 42 is actuated, in the event that there is no actuation 46 of the driver's platform 42, there is a branching to NO 48, from where both the automatic travel switch, as well as the remote control and the addressed key operation of the control element, as shown in NO 54 Is blocked. In this situation, manual operation 52 is also blocked with NO 54.
- This lock of both operating modes 50 and 52 then returns to the driver's stand 42 and its actuation query 46 and back. If the driver's platform 42 is actuated, this results in the YES state 56, from where the vehicle changes to a manual operation 58. In this situation, the operator stands on the driver's platform and controls the vehicle.
- This normal state is also represented by the marked YES state 60.
- the change to manual operation 58 is accompanied by the fact that the automatic / remote-operated pushbutton switch 61 is locked with NO 62.
- the YES state of a locked 62 remote control switch 60 is also achieved when the step 38 is actuated 44. This state is marked YES 64.
- This state then additionally leads to a blocking of manual operation 66, which is identified by NO 62. From this state NO 62, the diagram returns to the query of step 38. It can be clearly seen from the diagram that the actuation of the step 38, 34, 64 leads to a blocking of both the automatic operation 61 and after the manual operation 66 is blocked by NO 62. By contrast, actuation of the driver's platform platform 42, 46, 56 only locks the travel switch 61, 62 but releases the manual operation 58, 60.
- Figure 7b shows the further behavior of the industrial truck: If the industrial truck is in manual YES-state operation 60, it is checked for the operator platform 68 with left 70 whether it was left via step 72, this path is indicated by YES 74. Alternatively, it is possible not to leave the driver's platform 68 68. This remaining on the driver's platform 68 is identified by the NO 78. Even in this situation, in which the operator platform is not exited via path 68, 70, 78, a distinction can be made as to whether step 76 is operated YES 80 or NO 82. If step 76 is not operated, the system returns to NO 82 manual operation 58 back.
- step 76 If, on the other hand, the step 76 is actuated, YES 80 in the path 76, 84, 80, the remote-controlled operation with automatic / remote-operated push-button travel switch 86 and the manual operation 88 are blocked again by NO 90. There is a situation in which the manual mode 88 and remote control mode 86 are blocked by NO 90.
- step 92 is exited in step 94. If step 92 is left in step 94, the state is YES 96 and it is next checked whether the operator platform 98 has been actuated 100. The driver's platform was not actuated, the system returns to state 48, in which there is essentially again a blocked manual operation 52 and a blocked remote control operation 50. If the driver's platform 100 has been activated, the system returns to manual operation 58 via YES 102. On the other hand, if step 92 was not left in step 94, NO 104, both remote-controlled operation 106 and manual operation are blocked by the NO 110 state.
- the NO 110 essentially corresponds to the NO 90 state, in which the remote control mode 86 and the manual mode 88 are also blocked. From the locked state 110, it is checked again in step 112 whether the step has been left, this corresponds to step 94. In this respect, step 112 corresponds to step 92 subsequent to the locked state 90.
- the second main branch of the diagram in Figure 7b results from the driver's platform 68, leaving 70 via state YES 74 and the subsequent check as to whether step 72 has been operated 114.
- This path is exclusive to the general manual YES state operation 60 Figure 7a , It is now checked here whether the step has been operated 114. In this case, YES 116 the system changes to a state in which remote control operation 106 is locked, NO 110. If, however, step 72 is not operated in 114, NO 118, control changes to remote operation mode 12, as by the general YES state 122 is shown.
- the general states 60 and 122 thus relate to the general states of the industrial truck, in which manual operation takes place (status chain 42, 46, 56) or remote-controlled operation is possible (status chain 68, 70, 72, 74, 114, 118, 120) ,
- general conditions 60 and 122 describe general vehicle conditions.
- the general state 122 is left, either by returning to the checking of the step 72 or by an actuation 124 (cf. Figure 7a ) of operator platform 126. If operator platform 126 is actuated, YES 128, control returns to manual operation 58 back to the general state 60 for manual operation. If the driver's platform is not actuated, the system returns to 118, just as when the treadle is not actuated, from where it is in the general state of a remote control 120, YES 122.

Description
The present invention relates to an industrial truck with a driver platform and a remote control. In particular in the area of horizontal order pickers, vehicles are used on which the driver can ride while standing on the operator platform. It is known to provide a person switch on the driver's platform that functions as a dead man's switch. If the person switch does not respond, control of the vehicle is blocked by the control levers attached to the operator platform. This prevents, for example, a forward drive command or a steering movement of the vehicle from being carried out even though the driver is no longer on the vehicle. It is also known to provide a step near the driver's platform, which the user uses for picking on a second level.
It is also known to control industrial trucks, for example also order pickers, via a remote control. A series of driving, steering and other control commands can be carried out on the industrial truck via the remote control.
The invention has for its object to provide an industrial truck with a step device and a remote control that can be operated safely with simple means.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by an industrial truck with the features from claim 1. Advantageous embodiments form the subject of the subclaims.
The industrial truck according to the invention has the features of claim 1. The industrial truck is equipped with a step device provided close to a driver's platform and with a remote control. Via the remote control one or more functions of the vehicle can be controlled. A controller is provided for this, which can switch a remote control mode on and off. In the remote control mode, control of vehicle functions by the remote control is possible. If the remote control mode is not switched on, no signals from the remote control can be implemented. According to the invention, it is provided that the kicking device is equipped with a person switch, on the actuation of which the control switches off the remote control mode. When the remote control mode is switched off, it ensures that the truck cannot be controlled remotely when the driver is standing on the step. For example, the driver is also protected from surprises on the operator platform, for example by accidentally pressing the remote control.
In a preferred development of the industrial truck according to the invention, the operator platform is equipped with a second person switch. The operator platform is equipped with a second person switch, the control of which also switches off the remote control mode in response to its actuation. The step device on the driver's platform makes it possible to reach into a higher shelf level from the driver's platform via the step device. In this way, the order picker can, for example, grab goods and goods lying higher up with little effort. The step device is arranged, for example, 20 cm to 50 cm higher than the operator platform. Since the driver standing on the step device releases the driver platform, but the step device has the person switch, it can be ensured that no unwanted remote control takes place when the operator is working on the driver platform or the step device.
In a preferred embodiment, the remote control mode is only switched on when none of the person switches is actuated. This ensures that a person is neither standing on the driver's platform nor on the kicking device and is surprised by an erroneously or accidentally operated remote control and the movement of the vehicle caused by this.
A further alternative embodiment provides that the remote control mode is switched on when none of the person switches is actuated and when after the person switch of the step device has responded, the second person switch of the driver's platform has first responded. This configuration is based on the following consideration: a driver who reaches over the step means higher goods, when he leaves the vehicle completely, will first return from the step device to the driver's platform and trigger a corresponding signal from the second person switch. It is of course the case with this embodiment that a driver who jumps from the kicking device onto the floor next to the vehicle without touching the standing platform is also prevented from controlling the vehicle via the remote control. Only when the operator, standing next to the vehicle, touches and leaves the driver's platform again, for example with his foot, is the vehicle switched back to remote control mode.
In a preferred embodiment, an operating element provided on the vehicle is likewise locked in the remote control mode that is switched off. Also it can be provided for this control element to block it when the second person switch responds. In this way it is ensured that when the operator stands on the step device, the vehicle cannot be controlled by the control element either. The control element can be, for example, a steering wheel or individual switches provided on the steering wheel. This is particularly important in order to prevent inadvertent actuation of the control element on the industrial truck.
In order to protect the operator in a preferred embodiment when he steps from the kicking device onto the hood or the drive part of the industrial truck, it is provided that the control element on the driver's platform is blocked when none of the person switches are actuated and if the person switch is previously operated the kick device was actuated.
In a preferred embodiment, the driver's platform has a movably arranged platform and the second person switch is actuated by a weight on the platform. The standing platform can, for example, be articulated at one end and be resiliently mounted at its free end. In this embodiment, the person switch located below the standing platform can then be actuated via the free end, for example. In addition to the standing platform articulated on one side, it can also be mounted as a whole, for example translationally movable.
Alternatively or in addition, it is also possible to equip the driver's platform with a switch mat as a person switch. The switch mat is a mat-shaped arrangement of switches that respond and are switched when the operator platform is entered.
In a preferred embodiment, the step device is equipped with a movably arranged step surface, upon entering which the second person switch triggers. Here, too, it is possible to attach the tread, for example at one end via a hinge, and to mount the free end of the tread resiliently. The second person switch is then triggered by stepping on the step surface.
The second person switch can be designed, for example, as an induction switch which responds to a movement of the tread.
As an alternative to this, it is also possible to equip the second person switch as an optical switch which is aligned with the step surface. Here, for example, a light barrier or an optical brightness measurement determines that a foot is placed on the step surface.
As with the operator platform, the step surface can be equipped with a switch mat that switches in response to a weight and thus actuates the second person switch for the step device.
In a preferred embodiment, the driver's stand has a rear wall. The rear wall can be provided with a backrest, a cushion for leaning against or a support for a standing operator. The rear wall is preferably located on the side of the operator's station facing the load carrying means. Preferably, the step device can also be arranged pivotably in the rear wall and folded out for use.

When using the industrial truck 1, the situation arises that the driver climbs from the
If a remote control unit is provided for the industrial truck, this enables the driver, standing or walking next to the vehicle, to give it driving commands. Such a remote control is particularly helpful in the context of picking activities, so that you do not have to constantly return to the vehicle for short distances. A so-called push-button travel switch can also be provided, which makes it possible to operate the vehicle standing or walking by a handle on the control element. Tactile operation is comparable to remote control in that the operator can also be removed from the vehicle and still be able to operate it.
In
A distinction must be made between a number of cases for the use of the industrial truck according to the invention: the first case relates to the situation in which none of the person switches is activated. In this case, control of the industrial truck can assume that an operator is not standing on the driver's platform and not on the step device. In this case, the remote control can be enabled by activating a remote control mode. An actuation of the controls and their switches is usually blocked in this situation because there is no driver on board. This mode of operation is particularly suitable for industrial trucks that have no
In particular for industrial trucks that also have an opportunity to step on the drive part, such as the
This case distinction makes it possible, depending on the design of the industrial truck, to always ensure that only the driver next to the industrial truck can control it with the remote control and that, even when moving on the industrial truck, operating elements that lead to an unwanted operation are not accidentally actuated Guide the truck's movement.
For the step device, a
If the industrial truck is designed such that the second person sensor is also queried to enable the remote control mode, it is necessary for the second person sensor to be actuated once when the industrial truck is started up for the first time. This can be done via the control system without having to enter the step device or, in an alternative embodiment, it is also possible for an operator to manually actuate the second person switch once the industrial truck has been started up.
This state then additionally leads to a blocking of
