Diese Aufgabe wird durch die Taschenlampe nach Anspruch 1 gelöst. Erfindungsgemäß ist als Stellglied ein aus dem Gehäuse herausragendes Einstellrad oder ein Einstellhebel vorgesehen, an dessen bis in das Gehäuseinnere ragende Drehachse ein radial abstehender Mitnehmer befestigt ist, der in eine Ausnehmung eines Drehringteils hineinragt, das mit dem ersten Träger der Lichtquelle oder der Vorsatzoptik verbunden und drehbeweglich im Gehäuse angeordnet ist, wobei bei einer Drehung des Drehringteils eine schräg zur Gehäuselängsachse liegende Stirnfläche entlang einer unter demselben Winkel geneigten zweiten Stirnfläche eines Körpers, der mit dem zweiten Träger der Vorsatzoptik oder Lichtquelle ortsfest verbunden ist, so führbar ist, dass sich der Relativabstand des ersten und zweiten Trägers ändert. Anstelle des Mitnehmers und der Ausnehmung kann auch ein Zahngetriebe, bestehend aus zwei ineinandergreifenden Zahnrädern, gewählt werden. Aus konstruktiven Gründen wird bevorzugt die Version verwendet, bei der der erste Träger für die Diode in dem Lampengehäuse fixiert ist und der zweite Träger für die Vorsatzoptik als relativ hierzu beweglicher Teil ausgebildet ist. Als Bedienelement zur Fokussierung kann entweder ein Einstellrad oder ein Hebel sein. In beiden Fällen lässt das Stellglied mit einem Daumen oder Zeigefinder derselben Hand bewegen, das heißt drehen oder schwenken, die auch die Taschenlampe festhält. Die Neigung der korrespondierend ausgebildeten Stirnflächen bestimmt den maximalen Dreh- oder Schwenkwinkel, der erforderlich ist, um die mögliche Fokussierung beziehungsweise Defokussierung zu erreichen. Je kleiner die Neigung, das heißt je flacher der Steigungswinkel eingestellt wird, desto feiner ist die Einstellmöglichkeit.
