Description

The present invention relates to a crosslapper.

Des étaleur-nappeurs sont connus par exemple de EP1870499 , EP1686205 et EP2365113 .Conventionally, a crosslapper is supplied with a web of fibers, in particular of nonwoven, for example from a web production device, for example a card, to form at the output of the crosslapper a web of fibers , in particular of nonwoven, comprising superimposed layers consisting of sections of the web which have been superimposed on each other in a zig-zag fashion on an outlet apron of the crosslapper. Crosslappers are known for example from EP1870499 , EP1686205 And EP2365113 .

In general, following the crosslapper, a consolidation step, in particular by needling, can be carried out.

The web from the web production device is deposited on an entry belt (or front belt) of the crosslapper. The crosslapper also comprises a rear belt which defines with the front belt a transport path to a lapping slot into which a section of accumulated web is inserted by means of an entry carriage called an accumulator carriage . The section accumulated by the accumulator carriage is supplied to the lapping slot and is deposited on the outlet apron of the crosslapper by a lapping carriage.

The veil, made up of mainly longitudinal fibres, loosely bonded together and forming a very airy structure, has a low mechanical strength. He However, it is important that, during its passage through the crosslapper, the web retains as faithfully as possible its initial dimensioning and in particular its initial width and a uniform distribution of its weight (or basis weight) over its width. However, at one stage in the path of the veil, the latter is turned over, the front carpet performing a half-turn to start again in the opposite direction and the rear carpet taking over after the reversal to carry out the function of supporting the veil.

The disadvantage, however, is that when the veil is turned over, the latter tends to come off the belt, in particular during the return movement of the accumulator carriage, which is detrimental to the homogeneity of the sheet formed at the outlet of the spreader. lapper. To solve this problem, consideration has already been given to reducing the speed of the crosslapper depending on the type of web, in particular its density or the type of fibres. Consideration has also been given to providing a complicated and expensive arrangement comprising suction means combined with a carpet and/or perforated cylinder.

We would like to have available a crosslapper allowing a high quality production at a higher speed of the web and this without having to use suction means in combination with a perforated cylinder which increase too much the cost of manufacture and the complexity of the operation of the crosslapper.

The invention thus relates, according to a first aspect of the invention, to a crosslapper as defined in claim 1, improvements and preferred embodiments being defined in the subclaims.

By thus providing a rotating element, in particular a rotating roller, above or substantially above the reversal zone or region to create a sort of local overpressure by Magnus effect, the veil is protected, thanks to this overpressure, from the effects adverse effects of the combined action of the centrifugal force exerted on the veil during its reversal and the relative air flow induced by the backward movement of the accumulator carriage during the reversal of the veil, which promotes the uniformity of the final ply in out of the crosslapper.

According to another aspect of the invention, which can be implemented independently of the first aspect or in combination with the latter, a crosslapper intended to supply at the output a web of fibers from a veil of fibers supplied at the input , the crosslapper carrying out the superposition of sections of the veil to form the sheet at the output and comprising a front belt, a rear belt and turning means intended to turn the fiber veil to make it pass from a state in which it is supported by the front carpet in a state in which it is supported by the rear carpet, is characterized in that it is arranged, substantially above the turn-up region where the turn-up of the web takes place, an element driven in rotation, for example a roller or cylinder driven in rotation, the arrangement being such that the outer surface of the rotating element, in particular of the rotating roller, is in direct communication for fluids, in particular air, with the zone turning, in particular without the interposition of a carpet. In particular, the rotating element is not a drive element for the front belt and/or the rear belt.

Still according to the first aspect of the invention, the crosslapper carrying out the superposition of sections of the veil to form the sheet at the outlet and comprising a front belt, a rear belt and turning means intended to turn the fiber veil to passing it from a state in which it is supported by the front carpet to a state in which it is supported by the rear carpet, is characterized in that it is arranged, substantially above the turnaround region where the The veil is turned over, an element driven in rotation, for example a roller or cylinder driven in rotation, the rotary element, in particular the rotary roller, being driven by a motor.

According to another preferred mode, according to yet another aspect of the invention, which can be implemented independently of the other aspects or in combination with one or more of the latter, a crosslapper intended to output a web of fibers from a web of fibers supplied at the input, the crosslapper carrying out the superimposition of sections of the web to form the web at the output and comprising a front belt, a rear belt and turning means intended to turn the fibers to change it from a state in which it is supported by the front mat to a state in which it is supported by the rear mat, is characterized in that it is arranged substantially above the turning region where the reversal of the veil takes place, an element driven in rotation, for example a roller or cylinder driven in rotation, the rotary element, in particular the rotary roller, being driven by a motor and the control of the drive motor of the The rotary element, in particular of the roller, is made in such a way as to give the rotary element, in particular of the roller, a speed of rotation proportional to the speed of entry of the web into the crosslapper.

In particular, the turn-up zone or region can be defined, in cross-section with respect to the transverse axis of the mats, by the space delimited by the part of the front mat in contact with the veil while the latter is under the carpet, by the part of the rear carpet which is not in contact with the veil and by a pinch constituting an entry opening on the top of the region, the pinch being at the level where the front carpet ceases to support the sail.

Preferably the rotating element is directly above the pinch.

According to a preferred embodiment, the turning means comprise a diverting roller.

The present invention also relates to an installation comprising a web-forming device, for example a card, a lapping spreader according to the invention, fed by the web-forming device, and a device for consolidating the web formed by the web. lapper spreader, arranged after the lapper spreader, for example a needle loom.

By way of example, a preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawings, in which:
figure 1
is a partial sectional view in elevation illustrating a crosslapper according to the invention; And
figure 2
is a perspective view of one embodiment of the rotary crosslapper roller of the figure 1 .

There figure 1 schematically represents an exemplary embodiment of a crosslapper according to the invention. A fleece transfer occurs between two mats. The veil 1 arrives continuously on a first endless carpet 2, called the front carpet, then enters an entry carriage moving back and forth where it undergoes a reversal by performing a U-turn to be taken up by a second carpet 4 endless, say back mat. At the exit of the entry carriage, the veil 1 is conveyed between the two belts 2 and 4. The veil thus maintained is then taken up by a second mobile exit carriage, or lapper, whose function is to spread the veil in back and forth on a continuously moving exit apron transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the movement of the lapper carriage 5, so as to form a lap consisting of staggered folds.

The front belt 2 is guided by guide rollers 7 and 3 carried by the mobile entry carriage defining an inclined section 9 so that the veil 1 transported by this belt performs a U-turn around the second roller 3, however slightly less than 180°.

In the entry carriage, the path of the rear belt 4 is defined by four rollers 10, 11, 12 and 13 carried by the entry carriage and arranged so that a nip line 14 is provided between the guide roller 3 of the front carpet 2 around which the veil performs its U-turn and the roller 12 guiding the rear carpet 4, and so that the rear carpet 4 passes close to the roller 3 to support the support of the veil at the exit of roll 3.

A roller 20 driven in rotation with respect to an axis parallel to the axis of roller 3, is arranged above roller 3 in the inlet carriage, being integral with the inlet carriage. The roller 20 is located substantially above the zone in which the web 1 performs its reversal, that is to say between the roller 3 and the roller 12.

De préférence, comme représenté à la figure 2, le rouleau 20 comporte des cannelures longitudinales parallèles à l'axe de rotation du rouleau 20.Preferably, as shown in figure 2 , the roller 20 has longitudinal grooves parallel to the axis of rotation of the roller 20.

The motor is controlled so as to rotate the roller at a speed of rotation proportional to the speed of entry of the veil into the carriage 3, or preferably, proportional to the entry speed of the web into the lapper in order to prevent too sudden speed variations of the roller from allowing the maintenance of the aeraulic phenomenon (Magnus Effect).

The roller creates an air flow which has a high Reynolds coefficient, in particular greater than 8,000, for example between 10,000 and 100,000.

To the figure 1 , there is shown an embodiment in which the turning means consist mainly of the roller 3 for turning, which is a simple solid roller. One could however, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention, provide a roller as described in the patent EP2365113 , that is to say a roller comprising grooves or corrugations. Provision could also be made, although the present invention makes it possible, if desired, to dispense with it, a perforated roll, optionally in combination with a perforated mat, the combination of the arrangement of the present invention with such an arrangement of roller and/or perforated carpet to obtain an even stronger hold of the veil (however in this case with an increase in the complexity and cost of the device). Similarly, the relative arrangement of the two front and rear mats could also be made differently from that described in figure 1 without departing from the scope of protection of the invention. In particular, a relative arrangement of the two carpets could be provided as described in EP2365113 or in EP1163383 .

In particular, it is possible in particular to define the zone or region of reversal as being the region delimited by the front and rear mats where the veil 1 is not supported, that is to say carried from below, by at least one of the two mats. To the figure 1 , this region is the area between the two mats 2 and 4 below of the pinch line 14, the region is defined, in cross-section, corresponding to that of the figure 1 , by a space delimited by the part of the front carpet 2 in contact with the veil while the latter is under the carpet, by the part of the rear carpet 4 which is not in contact with the veil and by the pinch 14 , the latter constituting an entrance opening on the top of the region, the pinch 14 being at the level where the front belt ceases to support the veil.
