Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a roof comprising metal sheets and a metal roofing accessory
  • Sheet metal is used to create a metal roof for a building. Thereafter, they will be referred to as “covering sheet”.
  • covering sheet To create a roof, several metal roofing sheets are assembled in partial overlap. The edges of such a roof are finished with an edge strip.
  • An edge strip is a roofing accessory intended to provide protection against bad weather, in particular against water infiltration, from the edge of a roof, at the level of the junction zone between the upper end of the wall and the roofing.
  • an edge strip runs along the wall, under the roof line.
  • the edge strips equip at least the edges of the roof where the latter is directly above the wall, without overhang.
  • An edge strip can advantageously also be fitted to a wall whose end is protected by an overhang of the roof, to reinforce protection against bad weather. Furthermore, the presence of an edge strip makes it possible to limit the entry of rodents through the roof.
  • tiles For a roof made of tiles, concrete or terracotta, we know tiles, generally L-shaped, adapted to be placed at the edges of the roof and formed an edge strip.
  • the roof is made with metal covering sheets, flat, corrugated or with complex reliefs, there is an additional constraint in the construction of the roof, due to the standard dimensions of such sheets. Indeed, it is frequent that the final dimensions of the roof, in length and/or width, do not correspond to an integer multiple of the corresponding dimension of a metal sheet such as commonly used to make a roof.
  • metal sheets generally have a rectangular shape 1 m to 6 m long by 0.5 m to 1.5 m wide.
  • EP 2525012 relates to a protective device making it possible to cover at least part of the top of a construction and corresponding installation.
  • EP 0380281 concerns a connection profile.
  • GB 2441054 concerns a component of a roof.
  • AT 2004202598 concerns construction elements of a building and discloses a metal roof with edge accessory partially covered by a covering sheet.
  • FR 3002253 concerns a roof for preferably modular construction.
  • the invention more particularly intends to remedy by proposing a roof comprising a metal roofing accessory allowing optimal use of the number of roofing sheets necessary to make a roof, while being easy to implement. simplified and limiting the duration of operations to create a metal roof.
  • the subject of the invention is a roof of a building according to claim 1, formed of several metal roofing sheets comprising a metal roofing accessory, said accessory being rectangular, comprising, according to its width, two parts whose main planes form between them an angle between 75° and 105°, a first part of said accessory being provided with at least one contact zone by covering with a part of a sheet constituting the roof, a second part of said accessory defining an edge strip, such as the zone contact comprises several contact members, formed by reliefs provided on one face of the accessory, parallel to each other, and arranged in a direction parallel to the length of the accessory and such that the width of the first part is at least equal to half the distance separating two reliefs of a sheet constituting the roof.
  • the first part provided with at least one contact zone, allows, due to its covering by part of a covering sheet constituting the roof, to de facto extend the latter to the edge of the roof.
  • the dimensions of the contact zone are adapted to ensure coverage by a covering sheet, whatever the width to be covered by the covering sheet. It is thus possible to produce a roof, whatever its size, taken perpendicular to the slope of the roof, by modulating the dimensions of the overlapping zones between the covering sheets constituting the roof and between a sheet placed on at least one of the edges of the roof. It is no longer necessary to cut a covering sheet to create the roof and ensure the junction with the edge strip.
  • the roof accessory according to the invention also provides a role as an edge strip
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a metal roofing accessory 1, conforming to a first embodiment of a roof according to the invention, before its use, namely its installation on a roof.
  • the accessory 1 is in the form of an elongated part, the length L of which is generally between 0.5 m and 4 m. In other words, the accessory 1 can be of a length less than that of a covering sheet constituting the roof.
  • Such an accessory 1 is, for example, made of steel, aluminum or a metal alloy.
  • the accessory 1 is painted, galvanized or coated with a protective layer known per se.
  • the accessory 1 has, overall, an L shape.
  • an accessory 1 used in a roof according to the invention is not defined in a single plane, its area being distributed over two non-parallel planes P2, P3.
  • the angle ⁇ formed by the two planes P2, P3 is between 75° and 105°, preferably between 89° and 91°.
  • the planes P2, P3 are globally orthogonal.
  • a first part 2 extends over the entire length L of the accessory 1.
  • the width L2 of the first part is generally between 5 cm and 30 cm.
  • the width of part 2 is greater than that L3 of a second part 3.
  • the two parts are of the same width or the width of part 3 is greater than that of part 2.
  • a reception space V1 of an edge of the roof, at the level of its junction with the top of a wall, is defined between parts 2 and 3. It should be noted that if an accessory 1, as illustrated in the different figures, is particularly suitable for use with a roofing sheet provided with reliefs, its use is possible with a flat roofing sheet, this second use however not being the purpose of the claimed roof.
  • the contact zone defined on the first part 2 of the accessory 1 is configured as a function of the cover sheet which will cover it.
  • the contact zone of part 2 is not flat but includes reliefs 4, elongated and rounded, which are regularly distributed over the entire width L2 of part 2.
  • the reliefs 4 extend over the entire the length L of accessory 1 and they are parallel to each other.
  • part 2 includes a contact zone which is configured in corrugated sheet metal.
  • the reliefs 4 form contact members intended to cooperate with a covering sheet, constituting a roof, as will appear more clearly later.
  • part 2 presents a zone of contact devoid of reliefs.
  • Part 2 is flat over at least the contact zone, advantageously over its entire surface.
  • Part 3 is, here, generally flat over most of its width L3. Its free end part 6 is planar and oriented angularly relative to part 5. Part 6 is oriented so as to be in a distal position relative to parts 2 and 5. In other words, part 6 is oriented so to be distant from parts 2 and 5, which, de facto, implies that part 6 is distant from the external face of the wall on which sheet 1 is mounted.
  • the end 7 of part 6 is folded inwards, therefore on face 8 of part 7, towards space V1, which corresponds to a proximal position with respect to parts 2 and 5.
  • the junction zone 9 between parts 2 and 3 is, in this embodiment, of generally frustoconical shape.
  • a shape defines a space V1, intended to receive the top part of a wall, according to one embodiment and implementation of the invention.
  • part 2 extends, de facto, an inclined plane 10 constituting relief 9.
  • Such an arrangement induces that the main plane P2 of part 2 passes perpendicularly through the main plane P3 of part 3, between the two ends 7 and 11 of part 3.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates the installation, during a first step, of the accessory 1, as illustrated in the preceding figures, on an edge 12 of two plates 13 joined together.
  • the flat plates 13 represent an under roof or part of the roof frame.
  • the plates 13 form a support for receiving cover sheets.
  • the support is not continuous, the plates 13 not being contiguous or are replaced, in the case of a truss type frame, by battens, purlins or others.
  • FIG. 4 illustrates such a covering sheet 14.
  • the sheet 14 is corrugated with reliefs oriented along its two dimensions.
  • such a sheet 14 reproduces, on its visible face 15 when the sheet 14 is in place on the plates 13, a roof formed by flat tiles.
  • the sheet 14 is in a color reproducing that of terracotta or concrete tiles, slates or other roofing elements.
  • the edge 16 of the sheet 14 is placed on part 2 of the accessory 1.
  • the thickness of part 2 is much less than that of the sheet 14.
  • the thickness of part 2, and advantageously of the entire accessory 1 is between 2 mm and 15 mm, preferably close to 5 mm, while the average thickness of a covering sheet, such as sheet 14, is between 10 mm and 60 mm.
  • the covering surface S of part 2 by edge 16 is more or less wide. De facto, the surface S corresponds to the contact zone of part 2 of the accessory 1.
  • the width L2 of part 2 is at least equal to half the distance D separating two reliefs 140 of the sheet 14, it is easy to adjust the width of the covering surface S, depending on the number of sheets 14 used to form the roof. We thus achieve optimal coverage, ensuring the waterproofing of the roof.
  • the shape of the reliefs 4 of part 2 ensures effective drainage of the edge 16, by complementarity of shapes with the reliefs 140.
  • the coverage is sufficient for the water to flow according to the slope of the roof and, above all, does not penetrate under the roof, therefore does not infiltrate under accessory 1 and under sheet 14.
  • the complementarity of shapes between the sheets contributes to the contact of the roof sheet on accessory 1, at the level of the covering surface S, without it being necessary to fix the latter mutually, for example by screwing.
  • Such optimal contact is also observed when part 2 is flat and the corresponding part of the covering sheet is also flat. Such a covering sheet, once placed on part 2, does not slide on it.
  • FIG. 6 illustrates another embodiment of the invention.
  • a cover sheet 14A is provided with reliefs 17, with a frustoconical cross section.
  • sheet 14A is a so-called ribbed sheet.
  • Figure 6 illustrates a covering, with a minimum covering surface S, of part 2 by a relief 17 constituting the edge 18 of the sheet 14A.
  • the overlap is at least half the distance separating two reliefs 17 and, advantageously, close to the width of a relief 17, it being understood that two neighboring reliefs 17 are separated by a flat strip 19.
  • the overlap, and therefore the overlap surface S is greater.
  • the covering surface S corresponds to the width of a relief 17, of the strip 19 and of a half-relief 17, as illustrated in Figure 7 .
  • THE figures 8 to 11 are views similar to the figure 2 respectively illustrating accessories 1A to 1D.
  • part 2 of accessories 1A to 1C is always the same as part 2 of sheet 1.
  • part 2D is flat, while part 3 is identical to that of accessory 1.
  • the shape of the reliefs 9A to 9C differs from that of the relief 9. It is thus easy to adapt the shape of the space defined by this relief to that of the top part of the wall and/or the edge of the roof .
  • the planes P2, P3 form an angle ⁇ less than or greater than 90°. In the case where the angle ⁇ is less than 90°, mounting on the end of the wall is done by force. Conversely, when the angle ⁇ is greater than 90°, the second part is folded down and fixed to the wall.
  • part 3A of accessory 1A has an end 7A of a shape different from that of the other accessories 1, 1B and 1C.
  • the end 7A has, in section, a triangular shape.
  • the extremities 7B and 7C of accessories 1B and 1C are oriented outwards. They are inclined angularly relative to the main plane P3 of the second parts of the accessories 1B, 1C.
  • the shape of the end 7, 7A to 7D is adapted to ensure the evacuation of water and protect the edge of the roof and the wall from bad weather.
  • the invention it is possible to cover a roof with roofing sheets, without needing to cut one of the sheets. Furthermore, it is easy to adapt the roof accessory of the invention to the different shapes and dimensions encountered.
