Definitions

  • the present disclosure relates to corner protection rails according to DIN EN 14353 for a wall or ceiling edge formed with a plasterboard and / or plaster compound in a room or building.
  • corner protection rails are used in buildings as auxiliary profiles for the formation of wall or ceiling edges using plasterboard, joint filler and / or plastering compound.
  • Such corner protection rails are typically formed from thin sheet metal and, depending on the material and type, can be installed with or without a surface finish, or they can be filled into the wall or ceiling edge with joint filler material ready for painting or wallpapering.

  • corner protection rails are often used, particularly in larger buildings.
  • a large part of the corner protection rails is initially longer than the wall or ceiling edge to be formed and must be shortened to a suitable length before installation. This is usually done by manually applying a length ruler, typically a 2 m folding rule, the zero point of which is placed on one end of the corner protection rail, and marking a desired length position at which the corner protection rail is to be shortened. If the nominal length exceeds the length scale, an intermediate marking must be set and the length scale must be pushed further to the intermediate marking before the nominal length position is marked can be. With a large number of corner protection rails to be processed, this costs a lot of working time. In addition, the dimensions are not always exact by applying a linear rule, since the zero point can slip and is not exactly on a front end or on an intermediate marking.

  • the length of the corner protection rail is not a multiple of the second length markings of the second length scale, and the first and second length markings of the first length scale are not the same as the first and second length markings of the second length scale.
  • the corner protection rail according to the invention has the advantage that with a standard length of the corner protection rail that is not a multiple of the second length markings, the person processing the corner protection rail has the option of simply shortening the corner protection rail in length with respect to both ends. As a result, the corner protection rail does not have to be laboriously rotated about an axis running transversely to the longitudinal axis. In addition, after shortening the corner protection rail starting from one front end, the resulting waste can be shortened again starting from the other front end without applying an external length scale.
  • the corner protection rail described can furthermore be shortened very quickly due to the special arrangement of the first and second length markings with respect to one another without having to apply a length scale, since the first length markings allow fine length scaling and the second length markings allow coarser length scaling.

Description

The present disclosure relates to corner protection rails according to DIN EN 14353 for a wall or ceiling edge formed with a plasterboard and / or plaster compound in a room or building.

Known corner protection rails are used in buildings as auxiliary profiles for the formation of wall or ceiling edges using plasterboard, joint filler and / or plastering compound. Such corner protection rails are typically formed from thin sheet metal and, depending on the material and type, can be installed with or without a surface finish, or they can be filled into the wall or ceiling edge with joint filler material ready for painting or wallpapering. The EP 2 316 611 B1 describes, for example, such a corner protection rail. In JPH0713955U or JP 2013-199778 A a corner protection rail of this type is also described.

Large quantities of corner protection rails are often used, particularly in larger buildings. A large part of the corner protection rails is initially longer than the wall or ceiling edge to be formed and must be shortened to a suitable length before installation.

The corner protection rail disclosed herein allows the corner protection rails to be shortened much faster and more reliably.

According to the invention, a corner protection rail is provided for a wall or ceiling edge formed with a plasterboard and / or plastering compound in a room or building, the corner protection rail having at least one first web and a second web running essentially perpendicular to the first web along a longitudinal direction of a first front end extends over a length to a second front end, wherein the corner protection rail can be shortened in length according to the wall or ceiling edge, the corner protection rail for defined shortening of the corner protection rail without applying a length scale on a first side of the first web along the entire length of the Corner protection rail has a plurality of first length markings and second length markings recognizable to be differentiated from the first length markings, the first length markings a defined first distance from one another and the second length markings a defined second one en distance from one another, the second distance being an integral multiple n, for example n = 10, of the first distance, each nth of the first length markings being the same distance from the first end as one of the second length markings. The first and / or second length markings form a first length scale that starts from a zero point at the first front end. The corner protection rail also has a length scale that corresponds to the first length scale second length scaling with first and second length markings, which starts from a zero point at the second front end. The length of the corner protection rail is not a multiple of the second length markings of the second length scale, and the first and second length markings of the first length scale are not the same as the first and second length markings of the second length scale.

The corner protection rail according to the invention has the advantage that with a standard length of the corner protection rail that is not a multiple of the second length markings, the person processing the corner protection rail has the option of simply shortening the corner protection rail in length with respect to both ends. As a result, the corner protection rail does not have to be laboriously rotated about an axis running transversely to the longitudinal axis. In addition, after shortening the corner protection rail starting from one front end, the resulting waste can be shortened again starting from the other front end without applying an external length scale.

The corner protection rail described
can furthermore be shortened very quickly due to the special arrangement of the first and second length markings with respect to one another without having to apply a length scale, since the first length markings allow fine length scaling and the second length markings allow coarser length scaling. For example, the first distance can be 1 mm and the second distance 5 mm. Optionally, every nth, for example fifth, of the first length markings can be formed by one of the second length markings. Optionally, the corner protection rail can have a plurality of third length markings, which are arranged on the first side of the first web along the entire length of the corner protection rail and can be clearly distinguished from the first and second length markings, the third length markings being at a defined third distance from one another, the third distance for example 10 mm, an integer multiple m, for example m = 2, of the second distance, each mth, ie second, of the second length markings being the same distance from the first end and / or the second end as one of the third length markings. Optionally, every mth, for example second, of the second length markings can be formed by one of the third length markings. Fourth or fifth can also be used analogously and / or further length markings with a respective spacing of for example 5 cm, 10 cm and / or 100 cm can be provided. The length markings can form a length scale, typically known from a commercially available folding rule, which extends over the entire length of the corner protection rail. The the corner protection rail The processing person can then very quickly and reliably shorten the corner protection rail to the desired length.

Optionally, the first and second length markings can be formed as cutouts from the first web and / or second web, which serve to anchor the corner protection rail to the wall or ceiling edge by means of plastering compound. The punchings can be oriented in a polygonal manner in such a way that they point with an arrow-like corner to an outer edge of the respective web from which they are punched. The polygonal shapes and / or sizes of the cutouts of the first length markings can easily differ from the polygonal shapes and / or sizes of the cutouts of the second length markings. For example, the cutouts of the first length markings can be small triangles and the cutouts of the first length markings can be larger pentagons or rhombuses. As an alternative to polygonal shapes, curved shapes with an arrow-like corner, such as a teardrop shape, can serve as punching out of the first and / or second length markings.

Optionally, a first of the first length markings and a first of the second length markings can be formed by the first front end. The first of the first length markings and a first of the second length markings preferably represent the zero point of a length scale. Such a zero point is particularly useful at a front end so that the corner protection rail only has to be shortened once.

Optionally, the second length scaling can be arranged on a first side of the second web. In principle, four sides of the corner protection rail are available for the length scaling: the first side of the first bar, the second side of the first bar, the first side of the second bar and the second side of the second bar. The first sides can, for example, each be the inner sides of the corner protection rail, which in the installed state point towards the wall or ceiling and bear against it. The second sides can be, for example, the outer sides of the corner protection rail, to which joint filler or plastering compound is applied in order to form the wall or ceiling edge. If the corner protection rail is just so that the first side of the first web is visible to a person shortening the corner protection rail, then the first side of the second web is also just visible to this person. The shortening person has both length scales in view and can quickly and easily choose the more suitable front end as the zero point and without further turning the corner protection rail Shorten the corner protection rail accordingly using the first or second length scaling.

Optionally, the first length scale can also be arranged on a second side of the second web and the second length scale can also be arranged on a second side of the first web. Then the shortening person no longer needs to turn the corner protection rail, since in practice either the first or the second sides of the webs are always visible.

Optionally, a subset or all of the first, second and / or third length markings can each be provided with an inscription which specifies at least one numerical value for the distance between the length marking and the first end or the second end. This means that not all length markings need to be counted, but a large part of the length can be read off directly and, if necessary, only a few length markings can be counted. For example, every tenth of the second length markings, which each have a second distance of 0.5 cm from one another, can be identified with a numerical value that corresponds to a multiple of 5, that is to say a length value in cm. Then only the relatively short distances between the labeled length markings have to be determined by counting.

Optionally, the inscription of a first length scale formed by the first, second and / or third length markings, which starts from a zero point at the first end face, can be oriented the other way around than the inscription of a corresponding second length scale, which starts out from a zero point at the second end face so that the labeling of that length scale can be read from left to right by a user looking at the corner protection rail which starts from the front end that is to the left of the user. The user is the person who shortens the corner protection rail. Since it is often easier for the user to change his own position with respect to the corner protection rail than to rotate the long corner protection rail around an axis running transversely to the longitudinal axis, it makes sense for the user to climb over a corner protection rail lying transversely in front of him and to move towards the Turn over the corner protection rail. The other front end of the corner protection rail is then on the left of the user. The other length scaling, which is preferably oriented the other way around, i.e. on the head, is then for readable by the user from left to right with a zero point on the left front end.

Optionally, the first, second and / or third length markings can be arranged on an outer edge of the first web and / or the second web. This is advantageous since side cutters, pliers, scissors, a saw or other means for shortening the corner protection rail are preferably initially applied to an outer edge. Alternatively or additionally, the first, second and / or third length markings can be arranged on an inner edge of the first web and / or the second web. This is advantageous because the inner edge forms the actual wall or ceiling edge, which should have a certain length. In addition, it may be necessary for the user to cut a miter at a front end in order to form the transition over one corner to another corner protection rail, the length at the inner edge being particularly relevant.

Optionally, the first, second and / or third length markings can be applied by punching, printing, gluing, embossing, laser engraving and / or rolling. This can be decided with optimized process costs in order to be able to offer the corner protection rail as cost-effectively as possible. Since corner protection rails known from the prior art already have punchings through which joint filler or plastering compound previously applied swells when the corner protection rail is pressed against the wall or ceiling edge to be formed and the corner protection rail is held in position, the length markings can be used in one process Punched out or embossed.

Optionally, the corner protection rail can be formed into an L-angle profile in an endless process from sheet metal and cut to a standard length. This poses a technical challenge the application of the length markings for corner protection rails. The length markings can be impressed by means of a correspondingly profiled embossing roller while the corner protection rail is being rolled. For this purpose, the angular position of the embossing roller can be mechanically and / or signal-controlled with the device for capping the corner protection rails to the standard length, so that the length markings have a defined distance from at least one of the front ends.

The technical challenge increases with the length of the period with which the length markings or labels repeat themselves periodically over the length. An embossing roller with a diameter D of at least D = λ / π can be used for a period length λ. In particular, inscriptions with numerical values cannot be repeated at all, so that the period length λ then corresponds to the standard length of the corner protection rails with which they are manufactured and delivered. With a standard length of 10 ft, for example, which corresponds to a length of 3.048 m, an embossing roller with a diameter of almost one meter was required, which cannot be easily integrated into the continuous production process. As an alternative to this, after the corner protection rails have been cut off to the standard length, the length markings can be rolled on or punched out over the entire length. Applying the length markings by means of printing and / or laser engraving can be particularly useful with lettering before or after the corner protection rails are cut to the standard length, although the length markings themselves can also be rolled in in an endless process without lettering, so that only the lettering is printed and / or laser engraved must be applied.

Optionally, the first, second and / or third length markings can be machine-readable and / or machine-countable, so that a shortening device can determine a target position for shortening the corner protection rail by scanning the first, second and / or third length markings. There is then no need for human-readable labeling, which shortens the period length λ and simplifies the application of the machine-readable length markings. For example, the shortening device can have a shortening unit which can move along the corner protection rail, can determine its position along the corner protection rail by machine counting and / or recognition of the length markings and can shorten the corner protection rail at the target position.

The shortening unit can, for example, move with rolling contact on the corner protection rail itself or on a frame of the shortening device, which provides a support for a defined positioning of the corner protection rail. A length or distance measurement with inaccuracies by the shortening device is expressly not required, but only a position determination of a shortening unit based on the machine-readable length markings on the corner protection rail. Machine-readable length markings could, for example, be cut-outs of different shapes and / or positions, with a shortening unit that traverses the corner protection rail over the length and counts the corresponding first and / or second and / or third etc. length markings that are passed over, clearly and quickly, depending on the target length specified by the user finds the target position without the exact starting point of the reduction unit being important. The scanning can be carried out, for example, by reflecting a light beam on a web of the corner protection rail. The different length markings can be offset from one another in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the corner protection rail, so that a separate strip can be passed over for scanning for the first, second, third etc. length markings. In that case you need to the length markings do not even differ in their shape, since their meaning is clearly determined from their position on the web of the corner protection rail.

The shortening unit can, for example, have a defined direction of travel and, as intended, can be attached to the corner protection rail at any point between a front end and the closest to the coarsest length marking in the direction of travel. The coarsest length markings can, for example, have a distance of 50 cm or 100 cm from one another, so that the next length mark is 50 cm or 100 cm from the front end. As soon as the shortening unit crosses this next length marking, your position on the corner protection rail can be clearly determined from the number of length markings crossed. Target lengths that are below the distance between the coarsest length markings are preferably shortened manually, it being advantageous if the length markings are readable both by the user and by machine.

In order to get to the target position as quickly as possible, the speed at which the shortening unit travels along the corner protection rail can depend on the length markings that have been crossed so far. For example, the first length markings can have a first distance of 5 mm from one another, the second length markings a second distance of 100 mm from one another, and the third length markings can also have the first distance of 5 mm from one another, the third length markings being arranged centrally offset to the first length markings . A target length of 2.85 m is entered into the shortening unit, for example, through an input interface (e.g. voice control, key input, wireless signal transmission, or the like) and set within the first 100 mm from the first front end. The shortening unit can quickly pass over the first 28 of the second length markings and then more slowly to the Move forward to the next of the first length markings in order to cut the corner protection rail there. If the finest of the length markings is not precise enough, the shortening unit can be designed to shift the exact shortening position within the shortening unit within the scope of a finer scale. In the example above, shortening with millimeter precision could be achieved by a defined internal shift of the exact shortening position within the shortening unit by up to 2.5 mm.

Fig. 1 shows an end section of a corner protection rail 1 for a wall or ceiling edge formed with a plasterboard and / or plastering compound in a room or building. The corner protection rail 1 here has an L-shaped profile with a first web 3 and a second web 5 that runs essentially perpendicular to the first web 3. The corner protection rail 1 extends from a first end 6 over a standard length to a second end (not shown). . For better orientation, the figures show a right-handed Cartesian coordinate system in which the z-direction runs along the longitudinal direction of the corner protection rail 1, the first web 3 extends in the x-direction and the second web 5 extends in the y-direction. The webs 3, 5 are connected to one another as integral components of the corner protection rail 1 at a common inner edge 7 running in the z direction. Both webs 3, 5 have cutouts 9 through the plastering compound or joint filler swell and so can hold the corner protection rail 1 in position when attached to a wall or ceiling edge. The perspective view in Fig. 1 offers a view of the first inner sides 11, 13 of the webs 3, 5, wherein the inner sides 11, 13 can each be referred to as the first sides of the webs 3, 5. The outer sides, which can be referred to as the second sides of the webs 3, 5, are in Fig. 1 not visible.

A first length scale 17a with first length markings 19a and second length markings 21a is recognizable on the inner side 11 on a first outer edge 15 on the first web 3. The first length markings 19a have a defined first distance A of 1 mm from one another and are formed by short lines and / or notches which run in the x direction. Every fifth of the first length markings 19a forms one of the second length markings 21a, which have a defined second distance B of 5 mm from one another and are formed by longer lines and / or notches which run in the x direction. Both a first of the first length markings 19a and a first of the second length markings 21a are formed by the first end face 6 itself. On the third, seventh and eleventh of the second length markings 21a there is an inscription with a numerical value "1", "3" or "5", the numerical value corresponding to the distance of the associated second length marking 21a to the first end 6 in cm. The row of the second length markings 21a labeled with a numerical value can thus be continued over the length to the second front end or, for example, if an inscription falls in the area of one of the cutouts 9, may be omitted in individual cases.

At a second outer edge 23 on the second web 5, a second length scale 17b with first length markings 19b and second length markings 21b is recognizable on the inner side 13. The first length markings 19b also have one here defined first distance A of 1 mm from one another and are formed by short lines and / or notches that run in the y-direction. Every fifth of the first length markings 19b forms one of the second length markings 21b, which have a defined second distance B of 5 mm from one another and are formed by longer lines and / or notches which run in the y direction. Both a first of the first length markings 19b and a first of the second length markings 21b are formed by the second end face (not shown). On the 391st, 395th and 399th of the second length markings 21b there is an inscription with a numerical value, the numerical value "195", "197" and "199" being the distance between the associated second length marking 21b and the second front end (not shown) in cm. The row of second length markings 21b labeled with a numerical value can thus be continued over the length from the second front end to the first front end 6 or, for example, if an inscription falls in the area of one of the punched-out portions 9, it can be omitted. The standard length of the corner protection rail 1 shown here is therefore 200 cm, which can be read off. Since the standard length corresponds to a multiple of the second length markings 21b, the last, ie the 401st, of the second length markings 21b is formed by the first end 6. This is not the case with a standard length which, according to the invention, is not a multiple of the second length markings 21b. For example, with a standard length of 10 ft, i.e. 3.048 m, the last of the second length markings 21b is not formed by the first end 6, but only the first of the second length markings 21b by the second end (not shown). According to the invention, the length markings 19a, 21a of the first length scale 17a are not, as shown here, the same as the length markings 19b, 21b of the second length scale 17b.

The inscriptions of the first length scale 17a on the first web 3 represent a user with one of the in Fig. 1 Perspective shown on the corner protection rail 1 on the head. The inscriptions of the second length scale 17b, however, stand for a user with one of the in Fig. 1 The perspective shown on the corner protection rail 1 from left to right legible on the second web 5. The perspective here corresponds approximately to a vector (-1, -1) in the xy plane. The zero point of the second length scale 17b, which is formed by the second front end, not shown, is then to the left of the user, so that the user can conveniently and quickly shorten the corner protection rail 1 to a relatively large desired length. If the user wants to shorten the corner protection rail 1 to a relatively short nominal length, he can easily and quickly turn the corner protection rail by 90 ° counterclockwise around the z-direction and change his own position to the corner protection rail 1 so that his perspective is roughly a vector (-1,1) in the xy plane. The first front end 6 then lies to the left of the user, so that the user can conveniently and quickly shorten the corner protection rail 1 to a relatively small desired length.

Fig. 2 shows part of a second exemplary embodiment of a corner protection rail 1 disclosed herein. In contrast to the first in FIG Fig. 1 The exemplary embodiment shown here form the cutouts 9 first length markings 19a, second length markings 21a and third length markings 25a of a first length scale 17a on the first web 3. Similarly, the cutouts 9 form first length markings 19b, second length markings 21b and third length markings 25b of a second length scale 17b the second bar 5.

The first length markings 19a, b have an arrow-like pentagonal shape and are located on the respective webs 3, 5 closer to the common inner edge 7 than the second and third length markings 21a, b, 25a, b. The first distance A between the first length markings 19a, 19b is 5 mm here. The second length marks 21a, b have a smaller triangular shape and lie on the respective webs 3, 5 closer to the respective outer edge 15, 23 than the first and third length markings 19a, b, 25a, b. The second distance B between the second length markings 21a, 21b is 100 mm here. Here, not every tenth of the first length markings 19a, b is formed by one of the second length markings 21a, 21b, but rather every tenth of the first length markings 19a, b has only the same distance from a front end (not shown here) as one of the second length markings 21a, 21b. The third length markings 25a, b are designed as diamonds and here also have the first distance A of 5 mm from one another, the diamonds being offset in the z-direction in the center of the first length markings 19a, b. Every third length marking 25a, b has the same distance, viewed in the z direction, from the two closest first length markings 19a, b, this distance being half of the first distance A of 5 mm, that is to say 2.5 mm. The diamonds of the third length markings 25a, b are larger than the triangles of the second length markings 21a, b and smaller than the pentagons of the first length markings 19a, b. As seen in the x-direction, the third length markings 25a of the first length scale 17a lie on the first web 3 between the first length markings 19a arranged further inside and the second length markings 21a arranged further out. Analogously, viewed in the y-direction, the third length markings 25b of the second length scale 17b lie on the second web 5 between the first length markings 19b arranged further inside and the second length markings 21b arranged further out.

In particular, the second in Fig. 2 The embodiment shown is suitable for a machine reading of the length markings, since these can be machine-read and counted particularly easily by means of scanning. Due to the different shape and / or position on the respective A shortening device with a shortening unit that can be moved over the length of the corner protection rail 1 can determine and move to a target position for shortening the corner protection rail 1 by scanning and counting the respective length markings in order to shorten them there.
