It is the object of the present invention to develop a checkout system of the type mentioned in an advantageous manner, in particular to the effect that this can be easily and without tools connected.

This object is achieved by a checkout system with the features of claim 1. This idea is based on the basic idea that a detection of security labels can be concealed, but at the same time made effective. Also conceivable is the arrangement on an outer wall. For this purpose, the antenna is then used, for example, with a cover structure hidden in an outer wall of the cash desk system. The cover structure can be provided by a frame and, if appropriate, corresponding wall elements, such as, for example, illuminable plastic plates.

A flat arrangement allows a wide coverage and a wide surveillance area.

Furthermore, it can be provided that the antenna is electronically shielded towards the inside area of the checkout counter system by means of a cover element. This makes it possible to adequately shield the employees of electronic radiation possibly located inside the cash desk system. However, it is also further achieved by the shielding that the exposed areas of the antenna can receive a better emission performance, as a result of which overall monitoring can be improved.
