  1. A toilet seat assembly (2) for mounting on a toilet body (1) with a toilet bowl, said seat assembly (2) having:
    a lid part (4) for covering the toilet bowl,
    a seat part (5) as a seat for a user and
    at least one fastening element (3) for fastening the seat assembly (2) to the toilet body (1) as well as
    a locking device (9-14, 16-18) for locking the seat part (5) or the lid part (4) to another part (4, 5) of the seat assembly (2),
    wherein the at least one fastening element (3) is configured to in turn be fastened to the toilet body (1) and to then allow the seat assembly (2) to be fastened to the at least one fastening element (3),
    and wherein the seat assembly (2) is configured so that the locking device (9-14, 16-18) is actuated automatically as a result of the fastening of the seat assembly (2) to the fastening element (3),
    characterised in that the seat assembly (2) is configured so that the locking device (9-14, 16-18) is also actuated automatically as a result of releasing the seat assembly (2) from the fastening element (3).
  2. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claim 1 comprising at least one receptacle (11) for the fastening element (3), wherein the seat assembly (2) can be fastened by placing it on the fastening element (3) and inserting the fastening element (3) into the receptacle (11).
  3. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claim 1 or 2 comprising a device (7, 10) for transforming a vertical movement during the placement and fastening of the seat assembly (2) on the fastening element (3) into a locking movement of the locking device (9-14, 16-18) which is angled thereto and in particular is a horizontal locking movement.
  4. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claims 2 and 3, wherein the device has at least one oblique surface (7, 10) on the fastening element (3) or in the receptacle (11) for transforming a vertical placement movement into a locking movement which is angled thereto, in particular a horizontal locking movement.
  5. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claim 3, optionally also in accordance with claim 4, wherein the locking device (9-14, 16-18) has a latch element (12, 16), which is movable in a horizontal direction, in one part of the two lid (4) and seat (5) parts, which latch element (12, 16) is provided to produce and release a positive connection with the other of the two parts (5, 4) as a result of a horizontal locking movement of the latch element (12, 16).
  6. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claims 4 and 5, wherein the oblique surface (10) is provided on or in the latch element (12, 16) and the horizontal locking movement of the latch element (12, 16) takes place as a result of the latch element (12, 16) being guided in a receptacle of the seat assembly (2).
  7. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claim 5 comprising a rotational damper (17) for damping at least a rotational mobility of the two lid (4) and seat (5) parts, which damper (17) is integrated into the latch element (12, 16) and is also moved as part of the horizontal locking movement.
  8. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claims 5 and 7, wherein the latch element (12, 16), as a result of the positive connection in accordance with claim 5, produces a transfer of torque between the damper (17) and that part (4) of the two lid (4) and seat (5) parts, in relation to which, as a result of the locking movement of the latch element (12, 16), the positive connection is created and released.
  9. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claim 5, optionally also in conjunction with claim 6, 7 or 8, wherein the latch element (12, 16) has a bearing journal (16) or a bearing journal receptacle of a rotary bearing (15, 16) for a rotational mobility of the lid part (4) or seat part (5).
  10. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claim 5, optionally also in conjunction with another one of claims 6 to 9, wherein the latch element (12, 16) is subjected to a spring force (13) which is in opposition to a locking force formed by fastening the seat assembly (2) to the fastening element (3).
  11. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with one of the preceding claims, wherein the seat assembly is fastened to the fastening element (3) by being placed on it and wherein a latching or magnetic connection (8, 9) is provided for an additional securing.
  12. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with one of the preceding claims, wherein the further part (5, 4) to be locked to the seat (5) or lid (4) part is the respective other part, in other words the lid part (4) or seat part (5).
  13. The seat assembly (2) in accordance with claims 2 and 12, which comprises the lid part (4) and seat part (5) and the fastening element (3), wherein the receptacle for the fastening element (3) is provided in the lid part (4) or seat part (5).
  14. A toilet comprising: a toilet body (1), which has a toilet bowl, a lid part (4) for covering the toilet bowl, a seat part (5) as a seat for a user, and a locking device (9-14, 16-18) for locking the seat part (5) or lid part (4) to the respective other part or to a mounting part for fastening the seat part (5) and lid part (4) to the toilet body (1), at least one fastening element (3) for fastening the lid part (4), seat part (5) or mounting part to the toilet body (1), which fastening element (3) is configured to in turn be fastened to the toilet body (1) and then allow a fastening to the fastening element (3), wherein the toilet is configured so that the locking device (9-14, 16-18) is automatically actuated by the fastening of the lid part (4), seat part (5) or mounting part to the fastening element (3), characterised in that the toilet is configured so that the locking device (9-14, 16-18) is also automatically actuated by the release of the lid part (4), seat part (5) or mounting part from the fastening element (3).
  15. The toilet in accordance with claim 14, wherein the lid part (4), seat part (5) and, where applicable, the mounting part form a toilet seat assembly (2) in accordance with one of claims 1 to 13.
