- The systems and tools that enable a truncated cone system to be used to achieve light effects in photography, including film, television and more, are well-known. Such a prior art system is known from
CN 103836455 A . - In particular, this invention refers to an assembly according to
claim 1. - This invention concerns an assembly that is able to diffuse the sum of at least one LED chip on board matrix assembled on a heatsink, able to obtain a single light beam, varying its amplitude and intensity through a longitudinal movement forward and backward, with respect to the surface of the lens.
- The operator often uses instruments where the LED chip on board remains fixed and the lens is moved forward or backward through telescopic mechanisms, or through the use of parabolic systems, to vary the angle of the beam of light.
- In these operations, the user must telescopically remove the lens, act on existing telescopic systems or operate parabolic elements. This is a significant loss of time and concentration.
- The invention, as specified in the claims, solves these problems, as the following main functions are completed with the invention: the addition of at least one LED chip on board matrix to form a single light beam, improving its homogeneity, variation of the light beam angle through movement of the instrument and use of a single truncated cone diffuser housed on a heatsink cooled by a fan, further improving overall heat dissipation.
- According to the invention, the diffuser consists of a central body with a truncated cone open at the ends and a base on the smaller end of the truncated section, with housing for at least one LED chip on board and housings for some clamping elements respectively on the surface of the base.
- This invention will be better described with the help of drawings that show only one of the possible creations:

Figure 5 is a detail offigure 2 that shows only the truncated cone diffuser seen from the side and the housings for the clamping elements; -
Figure 6 is a detail offigure 2 that highlights only the truncated cone diffuser seen from behind, highlighting the housings for the clamping elements, highlighting the position for the housing of some LED chips on board and highlighting the contact surfaces between said diffuser and heatsink; -

Figure 10 is a detail offigure 2 that highlights only the heatsink seen from below in orthogonal view, highlighting the contact surface of the LED chip on board with the surface of the heatsink and the air chamber (also referred to as inner tube), and highlighting a lateral surface of said heatsink. - With reference to the drawings, a device designed to diffuse the sum of at least one LED chip on board matrix housed inside the diffuser device, designed to obtain a single light beam housed on a heatsink by varying the amplitude and intensity of the light beam through a longitudinal movement forward and backward, with respect to the surface of the lens, is indicated in
number 4. - Said
device 4 includes: - A
thermal heatsink 5 on which a truncatedcone diffuser 4 is assembled at the centre ofdevice 5 with one or more LED chips onboard 12 inside. This device has a conical section tending to widen outwards. This is the LED chip onboard 12 that is assembled on theheatsink 5 inside thediffuser 4, having acontact surface 5a suitable for better heat dissipation. As the truncatedcone diffuser 4 is anchored to thesurface 5a ofheatsink 5, housing at least one said LED chip onboard 12 inposition 4e ondiffuser 4, fixing is provided by way offixing elements 13, as the truncatedcone diffuser 4 is equipped withhousings 4c for the clamping offixing elements 13. -
Movable elements 2 assembled on thesurfaces 5c of thedissipator 5, movable on aguidance system 14 suitable for the movement of thedissipating elements 5, thediffuser 4, the chip onboard 12, theinner tube 6 and thefan 7. Thesemovable elements 2 being mounted on asupport structure 10 provide an effective engagement with the elements suitable formotion transmission 3, allowing for greater stability and precision of movement. These elements, being capable of moving forward or backward in relation to the plane oflens 1, by way of amotor 9, or manually, having elements suitable formotion transmission 3 as a mechanism. - As the
support structure 10 is fixed to thelamp structure 11 by way of clampingelements 8 so as to prevent movement, thereby rendering thesupport structure 10 solid. - An
inner tube 6 is joined and superimposed on one side with thesurface 5b of theheatsink 5, havingfan 7 in opposition.
Claims (4)
- Assembly for a luminaire, the assembly comprising a truncated cone diffuser (4), at least one LED chip on board (12), at least one heatsink (5), at least one air chamber (6), at least one fan (7), at least one movable element (2), at least one element suitable for motion transmission (3) housed in at least one guidance system (14), wherein the assembly comprises a base (4a) with angular opening from which a shape of truncated cone section (4h) extends from the truncated cone diffuser (4) widening outward, respectively assembled on the LED chip on board (12) suitable for containing a LED matrix (12c) placed on a first surface (12a) of said LED chip on board (12), wherein the truncated cone diffuser (4) is open at the ends, and comprises the base (4a) and the truncated cone section (4h), having on a first surface (4b) of the base (4a) of the truncated cone diffuser (4), housings (4c) for some fixing elements (13) and an open truncated cone part acting as a housing (4e) for said truncated cone diffuser (4), suitable for housing the LED matrix (12c) of the at least one LED chip on board (12), wherein the first surface (12a) of the LED chip on board (12) is in contact with a second surface (4d) of the truncated cone diffuser (4), a second surface (12b) of the LED chip on board (12) and the second surface (4d) of said diffuser (4) are in contact with a first surface (5a) of the heatsink (5) by way of fixing elements (13), a second surface (5b) of the heatsink (5) assembled on the other side is in contact with the air chamber (6) and in opposition, the assembled fan (7) and, wherein on a third surface (5c) of the heatsink (5), the moving elements (2) and elements suitable for motion transmission (3) are assembled, housed in the guidance system (14) which is movable.
- Assembly according to claim 1, characterised by the fact that the assembly is movable longitudinally with respect to the surface of a lens (1) of the luminaire.
- Assembly according to claim 1, characterised by the fact that the assembly is suitably integrated with a support structure (10) of the luminaire, wherein the guidance system (14) is assembled on said support structure (10) which is fixed to a lamp structure (11) of the luminaire by way of clamping elements (8).
- Assembly according to claim 1, characterised by the fact that the assembly is capable of varying the amplitude, intensity and brightness of the LED matrix (12c) placed on at least one LED chip on board (12).
