Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for the continuous production of a band-shaped composite material according to the preamble of claims 1 and 2, and a corresponding device according to the preamble of claim 23.
- a cast roll mill For the production of hot strips, a cast roll mill is known in the prior art, which in the Fig. 31 is shown in a simplified schematic side view.
- Such a cast rolling mill comprises the following main components, seen in the transport direction of the cast strip: casting machine 1, roughing stand 3, heating unit 4, finishing stand 5, cooling section 6, flying shears 7, and finally a reeling device 8.
- Further separation devices 2 eg shears
- a method for producing a composite steel strip by roll-plating a directly cast steel strip and the use of such a composite strip are known.
- a core tape is cast directly by the two-roll method and then plated with a metal plating tape having low-corrosion to corrosion-resistant cold-rolled properties. This is done by plating the plating strip in-line as cold strip onto the core strip coming from the casting heat.
- the production rate and the resulting economy of this method are limited because of the casting of the core band by the two-roller method.
- a disadvantage of the technology according to DE 101 24 594 B4 consists in a loose connection only between the core band and the plating tape before the actual roll cladding, because these bands without a connecting acting Contact can be introduced into the rolling mill and thus can move relative to each other in particular at the beginning of the roll cladding. The threading of the two bands in the rolling mill therefore justified a source of interference.
- Another disadvantage of the method according to DE 101 24 594 B4 is given by a change in the layer thickness (plating strip thickness) and by an adjustment of the steel quality of the plating strip. Namely, these material features of the plating tape can not be flexibly set or changed during production.
- Another method for producing a composite material in a rolling mill is out DE 10 2015 110 361 A1 in which a material composite is produced in a sequence of several steps.
- a material composite is produced in a sequence of several steps.
- the provision of a first workpiece and a second workpiece in the form of a provisional composite In a subsequent step, a rolling of the provisional composite to form the composite material takes place, wherein a flat connection between the first workpiece and the second workpiece is produced in time before rolling by rough rolling.
- a disadvantage of the method according to DE 10 2015 110 361 A1 is that no continuous rolling process is carried out - instead, extensive time-consuming partial work steps are required. As a result, a low-cost production of a clad strip is not given.
- costly quality assurance measures are required. These include the cleaning of the dating surface and the measure to prevent oxidation or re-oxidation of the plating surfaces, namely by the already mentioned method step of forming a provisional composite by the first and second workpiece.
- an apparatus for producing composite tapes by using a steel strip and a corresponding method are known.
- a steel strip which serves as a carrier material, continuously passed through an isothermal chamber, wherein within the isothermal chamber is applied by a so-called caster a liquid storage or plating material on the continuous steel strip.
- a Schmelzbegrenzungsband employed to prevent lateral run-down of the liquid plating material.
- the melt limiting bands which are made laterally on the steel strip, are designed as revolving endless belts, wherein the rotational speed is adapted to a transport speed of the steel strip.
- this document does not take into consideration the processing of a steel strip in which the side edges are already crimped up before applying a liquid plating material, and corresponding side melt confinement tapes for the steel strip are not required.
- the technology DE 102 46 887 A1 for the composite strip which is formed by a solidification of the plating on the support material in the form of steel strip after its exit from the Isothermhunt no additional processing steps provided to further change the connection quality of the plating on the steel carrier tape.
- the invention has for its object to make the continuous production of a metal strip in the form of a multi-layered band-shaped composite material more economical and to optimize the quality of the compound used for this purpose materials or material partners with simple means.
- the invention provides an apparatus for the continuous production of a metal strip in the form of a multilayer band-shaped composite material.
- This apparatus comprises a first casting machine, with which a continuous strand of a base material consisting of steel is produced, whereby from this strand by solidification a thin slab moving in a transport direction forms, and at least one rolling mill, which is in line with the first casting machine and downstream is arranged thereof, wherein the solidified thin slab of the strand produced by the first casting machine can be hot rolled with this rolling mill.
- the apparatus further comprises at least a second casting machine with which a plating material consisting of a liquid plating material can be applied from above on a surface of a carrier material in the form of solidified thin slab, wherein the second casting machine - seen in the transport direction of the thin slab - arranged upstream of the rolling stand is.
- the roll stand is formed as a roll cladding means by means of which a closed composite formed from the thin slab and the solidified thereon plating material can be hot rolled so that thus continuously by roll cladding a single band-shaped composite material is formed, which consists of the base material and the cladding material.
- the invention is based on the essential finding that hereby a "cast roll plating" is realized, which is a combination of the individual process steps of cast plating and roll plating, which now be carried out one after the other in a continuous process sequence on a cast roll mill adapted for this purpose.
- the application of the liquid plating on the substrate is always continuous and from above, possibly even several times, so that not only a two-layer hot strip, but also such a hot strip with three or possibly more layers can be produced with the present invention
- the base material from which the support material and the thin slab formed therefrom are always steel (eg carbon steel) or stainless steel (eg austenitic steel, ferritic steel).
- the plating material used for the liquid plating material applied to the support material may be steel (eg carbon steel) or stainless steel (eg austenitic steel, ferritic steel), in which case the base material and the base material Plating material consist of different stainless steels.
- steel eg carbon steel
- stainless steel eg austenitic steel, ferritic steel
- the base material and the base material Plating material consist of different stainless steels.
- non-ferrous metals eg aluminum or copper
- nickel alloys for the cladding material.
- a continuous process sequence is achieved with which a multilayer hot strip or hot sheet is produced.
- at least one further casting machine eg the second casting machine
- an already existing cast roll mill eg a CSP plant
- a roughing stand group ie in the transport direction of the cast strand and the thin slab formed therefrom by solidification upstream of the rough rolling stand group
- this casting machine fulfills the function of a melt-feeding device for the liquid plating material which, as explained above, is applied to the carrier material from above.
- hot strips having at least two layers, or optionally also more than two layers, which are formed from the carrier material and the at least one cladding material can be produced with such a modified cast roll mill.
- a continuous provision of the carrier material (“ Endless operation") is ensured in an advantageous development of the invention in that the carrier material is continuously produced in step (i) with a first casting machine as a strand of steel. By solidification, a thin slab then forms from this strand, on the surface of which the liquid cladding material is subsequently applied from above.
- the first casting machine for producing the continuous strand for the carrier material can operate on the principle of continuous casting, wherein a mold is provided with walls between which the base material is filled as liquid metal from above and down through an opening of the mold in a strand guide system with a Cooling emerges.
- the first casting machine can be a vertical turning installation (bending of the strand after its solidification, or bending of the non-solidified strand by means of guiding segments), continuous arc casting plant, oval continuous casting plant.
- the first casting machine is designed as a strip casting machine (BCT machine) with a moving conveyor belt, wherein the base material is poured or applied in the form of molten steel on the conveyor belt and then forms by solidification into a thin slab ,
- the excessive side edges for the thin slab in that the strip casting machine has at least one electromagnetic Querrlick noticed, with the applied in the conveyor belt molten steel a cross flow in the direction of the side edges, ie, a flow is generated in the transverse direction to the conveyor belt.
- This transverse flow in the direction of the side edges influences the solidification contour of the molten steel, whereby the excessive side edges of the thin slab formed therefrom by solidification are achieved.
- the side boundary means which are made form-fitting to the side edges of the thin slab, circumferential side bands, which are guided around rotating guide rollers.
- the speed of these guide rollers is synchronized with the process or transport speed for the thin slab, so that there is no relative movement between on the one hand the thin slab and the plating material applied thereto and on the other hand the employed sidebands.
- the side boundary means have guide rulers, which are made in the same way laterally against the side edges of the thin slab. In any case, the adjustment of the sidebands or guiding rulers to the side edges of the thin slab takes place via adjusting devices suitable for this purpose, e.g. Hydraulic cylinders or electric motor drives.
- the amount of the liquid plating material which is applied to the carrier material from above with the second casting machine can be adjusted or regulated. This makes it possible to set the desired plating height.
- the continuous or in the transport direction moving carrier material in the form of the thin slab then absorbs the liquid plating material in a continuous flow process accordingly.
- the width of the substrate, the belt speed, and the edge overshoot provided by the employed side limiters may serve as variable process parameters as a function of which the amount of liquid plating material applied to the substrate is adjusted.
- the plating height for the applied liquid plating material can be made up to the upper limit of the edge elevation via the set amount regulation.
- the quality of a compound of at least two material partners (support material, and at least one cladding material) from which the desired band-shaped composite material is continuously produced can be further improved by forming the closed composite which solidifies in the course of step (ii) Forming plating material on the substrate, is conducted in a protective gas atmosphere or within a closed inertizable limited space.
- a protective gas device is provided, which is either part of the second casting machine and / or - seen in the transport direction of the thin slab - is arranged downstream of the second casting machine.
- the base material and / or the cladding material are made of steel or of a steel alloy, this at least reduces or even precludes the formation of scale, and insofar as the quality of the bond between the carrier material and the cladding material is improved.
- a protective gas device is provided between the first and second casting machine, wherein then the carrier material before the application of the liquid plating material - thanks to the shielding gas device - in an inertized environment in the transport direction, namely is moved in the direction of the second casting machine. This prevents re-oxidation or scaling on the surface of the carrier material or the thin slab.
- a cleaning device for example mechanical cleaning, or descaling with high-pressure water is accommodated within the last-mentioned protective gas device.
- the length of this solidification section is adapted to the transport speed of the thin slab, and preferably corresponds to the longitudinal extent of the protective gas device mentioned above. This ensures that the composite formed from the carrier material in the form of the thin slab and the plating material applied thereto within the protective gas device is at least as long until the plating material is completely solidified on the surface of the thin slab.
- step (ii) The bonding of the individual material partners (support material, and at least one cladding material) in applying the liquid cladding material to the support material according to step (ii) is optimized if the support material is suitably heated again before step (ii), e.g. to a temperature of 900 ° C. This improves the formation of a closed composite formed of the support material and the plating material solidified thereon, which is achieved by fusion, partial fusion, adhesion or continuous application of the plating material with or on the surface of the support material in the form of the thin slab. Additionally and / or alternatively it can be provided that the surface of the thin slab is cleaned prior to step (ii), preferably by a mechanical cleaning device, e.g.
- step (ii) has been compared in e.g. for descaling by means of water under high pressure the advantage that the temperature of the thin slab on the surface less reduced.
- the roll cladding of the individual material partners (carrier material, and at least one cladding material) by means of hot rolling in step (iii) or by the roll cladding is optimized by forming the closed composite of the carrier material and the cladding material solidified thereon prior to step (iii), ie upstream of the roll-plating device, is heated again targeted.
- an inductive heating, an electric heater or a thermal Heating be provided with which the closed composite is brought into interaction or passed therethrough.
- a multiple layering of plating material is carried out on the substrate in the form of thin slab.
- another of a plating material existing liquid plating material is applied to the closed composite, which has formed from the carrier material and the already solidified thereon plating material.
- a multilayer band-shaped composite material having at least three layers is continuously produced. This means that the further liquid plating material is applied to the previously solidified plating material from above.
- the first stitch or roll-plating according to step (iii) of the method according to the invention can be carried out for a total of three plies consisting of the carrier material in the form of the thin slab and the layers of the plating material solidified thereon.
- a further cladding material only after the first pass according to step (iii), or downstream of the roll cladding device, to the continuously produced band-shaped composite material from above.
- the produced multilayer tape can then be processed via further process steps, e.g. Trimming of strip edges, cold rolling, hot dip galvanizing, coating.
- a heating device in the function of a holding furnace, e.g. can be arranged between the rough rolling mill or the Walzplatt réelles issued and the finishing train, if necessary, to enable a batch operation. This is advantageous in the case where decoupling of the casting speed from the speed at which the composite material produced e.g. is processed in the finishing train, is desired. A severing of the produced composite material by means of a separating device between the roughing train and the finishing train makes this possible.
- a device 10 for continuously producing a metal strip in the form of a multi-layered band-shaped composite material 11 is used.

In the same way, the invention provides an apparatus for the continuous production of a metal strip in the form of a multilayer band-shaped composite material. This apparatus comprises a first casting machine, with which a continuous strand of a base material consisting of steel is produced, whereby from this strand by solidification a thin slab moving in a transport direction forms, and at least one rolling mill, which is in line with the first casting machine and downstream is arranged thereof, wherein the solidified thin slab of the strand produced by the first casting machine can be hot rolled with this rolling mill. The apparatus further comprises at least a second casting machine with which a plating material consisting of a liquid plating material can be applied from above on a surface of a carrier material in the form of solidified thin slab, wherein the second casting machine - seen in the transport direction of the thin slab - arranged upstream of the rolling stand is. Here, the roll stand is formed as a roll cladding means by means of which a closed composite formed from the thin slab and the solidified thereon plating material can be hot rolled so that thus continuously by roll cladding a single band-shaped composite material is formed, which consists of the base material and the cladding material.
- A "thin slab" is a cast strand of metal that is already almost fully solidified, so that later rolling of this thin slab is possible, without the risk that even liquid portions of the metal from the inside to the outside be squeezed out. Such a thin slab serves as a carrier material for a liquid plating material applied thereto, and may be formed as an endless profile which is produced or cast by means of the first casting machine, eg by continuous casting or by a strip casting machine, also known as BCT ( Belt Casting Technology ). - Machine known. In correspondence with the casting direction of the strand, the thin slab formed therefrom by solidification is moved in a transporting direction.
- The attribute "warm", which is mentioned in connection with the hot rolling according to step (iii) of the method according to the invention or with the roll-plating device of the device according to the invention, refers to the temperature of the material partners roll-plated in this hot-rolling, and is to be understood as meaning this temperature is above the recrystallization temperature of the metal materials used (eg 720 ° C for steel). In any case, it is recommended for the support material, which consists of a base material made of steel, that it has a temperature of at least 600 ° C., preferably of at least 900 ° C., prior to the application of the liquid plating material.
The invention is based on the essential finding that hereby a "cast roll plating" is realized, which is a combination of the individual process steps of cast plating and roll plating, which now be carried out one after the other in a continuous process sequence on a cast roll mill adapted for this purpose. Specifically, the application of the liquid plating on the substrate is always continuous and from above, possibly even several times, so that not only a two-layer hot strip, but also such a hot strip with three or possibly more layers can be produced with the present invention , Furthermore, it should be noted that the base material from which the support material and the thin slab formed therefrom are always steel (eg carbon steel) or stainless steel (eg austenitic steel, ferritic steel). The plating material used for the liquid plating material applied to the support material may be steel (eg carbon steel) or stainless steel (eg austenitic steel, ferritic steel), in which case the base material and the base material Plating material consist of different stainless steels. Alternatively, it is also possible to use non-ferrous metals (eg aluminum or copper) or even nickel alloys for the cladding material.
With the present invention, a continuous process sequence is achieved with which a multilayer hot strip or hot sheet is produced. For this purpose, at least one further casting machine (eg the second casting machine) can be integrated or retrofitted into an already existing cast roll mill (eg a CSP plant) upstream of a roughing stand group (ie in the transport direction of the cast strand and the thin slab formed therefrom by solidification upstream of the rough rolling stand group) become. In this case, this casting machine fulfills the function of a melt-feeding device for the liquid plating material which, as explained above, is applied to the carrier material from above. Accordingly, hot strips having at least two layers, or optionally also more than two layers, which are formed from the carrier material and the at least one cladding material can be produced with such a modified cast roll mill.
A continuous provision of the carrier material (" Endless operation") is ensured in an advantageous development of the invention in that the carrier material is continuously produced in step (i) with a first casting machine as a strand of steel. By solidification, a thin slab then forms from this strand, on the surface of which the liquid cladding material is subsequently applied from above. The first casting machine for producing the continuous strand for the carrier material can operate on the principle of continuous casting, wherein a mold is provided with walls between which the base material is filled as liquid metal from above and down through an opening of the mold in a strand guide system with a Cooling emerges. For the purposes of the present invention, the first casting machine can be a vertical turning installation (bending of the strand after its solidification, or bending of the non-solidified strand by means of guiding segments), continuous arc casting plant, oval continuous casting plant. Alternatively, it is also possible that the first casting machine is designed as a strip casting machine (BCT machine) with a moving conveyor belt, wherein the base material is poured or applied in the form of molten steel on the conveyor belt and then forms by solidification into a thin slab ,
If the first casting machine is designed as a strip casting machine with a moving conveyor belt, can be formed according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the excessive side edges for the thin slab in that the strip casting machine has at least one electromagnetic Querrühreinrichtung, with the applied in the conveyor belt molten steel a cross flow in the direction of the side edges, ie, a flow is generated in the transverse direction to the conveyor belt. This transverse flow in the direction of the side edges influences the solidification contour of the molten steel, whereby the excessive side edges of the thin slab formed therefrom by solidification are achieved.
In connection with the application of a liquid plating material on a surface of the carrier material in the form of the thin slab can be provided that the side boundary means, which are made form-fitting to the side edges of the thin slab, circumferential side bands, which are guided around rotating guide rollers. Conveniently, the speed of these guide rollers is synchronized with the process or transport speed for the thin slab, so that there is no relative movement between on the one hand the thin slab and the plating material applied thereto and on the other hand the employed sidebands. Alternatively, it can also be provided that the side boundary means have guide rulers, which are made in the same way laterally against the side edges of the thin slab. In any case, the adjustment of the sidebands or guiding rulers to the side edges of the thin slab takes place via adjusting devices suitable for this purpose, e.g. Hydraulic cylinders or electric motor drives.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the amount of the liquid plating material which is applied to the carrier material from above with the second casting machine can be adjusted or regulated. This makes it possible to set the desired plating height. The continuous or in the transport direction moving carrier material in the form of the thin slab then absorbs the liquid plating material in a continuous flow process accordingly. Conveniently, the width of the substrate, the belt speed, and the edge overshoot provided by the employed side limiters may serve as variable process parameters as a function of which the amount of liquid plating material applied to the substrate is adjusted. In detail, the plating height for the applied liquid plating material can be made up to the upper limit of the edge elevation via the set amount regulation.
The quality of a compound of at least two material partners (support material, and at least one cladding material) from which the desired band-shaped composite material is continuously produced can be further improved by forming the closed composite which solidifies in the course of step (ii) Forming plating material on the substrate, is conducted in a protective gas atmosphere or within a closed inertizable limited space. For this purpose, a protective gas device is provided, which is either part of the second casting machine and / or - seen in the transport direction of the thin slab - is arranged downstream of the second casting machine. If the base material and / or the cladding material are made of steel or of a steel alloy, this at least reduces or even precludes the formation of scale, and insofar as the quality of the bond between the carrier material and the cladding material is improved. Additionally and / or alternatively it can be provided that a protective gas device is provided between the first and second casting machine, wherein then the carrier material before the application of the liquid plating material - thanks to the shielding gas device - in an inertized environment in the transport direction, namely is moved in the direction of the second casting machine. This prevents re-oxidation or scaling on the surface of the carrier material or the thin slab. It can also be provided that a cleaning device (for example mechanical cleaning, or descaling with high-pressure water) is accommodated within the last-mentioned protective gas device.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention - as seen in the transport direction of the thin slab - provided downstream of the second casting a solidification line. Conveniently, the length of this solidification section is adapted to the transport speed of the thin slab, and preferably corresponds to the longitudinal extent of the protective gas device mentioned above. This ensures that the composite formed from the carrier material in the form of the thin slab and the plating material applied thereto within the protective gas device is at least as long until the plating material is completely solidified on the surface of the thin slab.
The bonding of the individual material partners (support material, and at least one cladding material) in applying the liquid cladding material to the support material according to step (ii) is optimized if the support material is suitably heated again before step (ii), e.g. to a temperature of 900 ° C. This improves the formation of a closed composite formed of the support material and the plating material solidified thereon, which is achieved by fusion, partial fusion, adhesion or continuous application of the plating material with or on the surface of the support material in the form of the thin slab. Additionally and / or alternatively it can be provided that the surface of the thin slab is cleaned prior to step (ii), preferably by a mechanical cleaning device, e.g. by blasting, brushing, grinding, planing, milling or the like. For example, rotating brushes may be provided for cleaning the surface of the thin slab. The provision of a mechanical cleaning of the surface of the thin slab prior to step (ii) has been compared in e.g. for descaling by means of water under high pressure the advantage that the temperature of the thin slab on the surface less reduced.
The roll cladding of the individual material partners (carrier material, and at least one cladding material) by means of hot rolling in step (iii) or by the roll cladding is optimized by forming the closed composite of the carrier material and the cladding material solidified thereon prior to step (iii), ie upstream of the roll-plating device, is heated again targeted. For this purpose, an inductive heating, an electric heater or a thermal Heating be provided with which the closed composite is brought into interaction or passed therethrough.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention can be provided that a multiple layering of plating material is carried out on the substrate in the form of thin slab. For this purpose, then another of a plating material existing liquid plating material is applied to the closed composite, which has formed from the carrier material and the already solidified thereon plating material. As a result, a multilayer band-shaped composite material having at least three layers is continuously produced. This means that the further liquid plating material is applied to the previously solidified plating material from above. If the further plating material is applied to the previously formed closed composite upstream of the roll-plating apparatus, the first stitch or roll-plating according to step (iii) of the method according to the invention can be carried out for a total of three plies consisting of the carrier material in the form of the thin slab and the layers of the plating material solidified thereon.
Alternatively, provision may also be made for applying a further cladding material only after the first pass according to step (iii), or downstream of the roll cladding device, to the continuously produced band-shaped composite material from above. This means that then for the moving carrier in the transport direction, the steps (ii) and (iii) of the inventive method are carried out repeatedly, preferably - as explained - within a protective gas atmosphere, wherein a closed composite, consisting of the first with Carrying out the step (iii) and the further plating material then applied thereon, then roll-plating into a single strip-shaped composite material having three layers when step (iii) is repeated.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention can be provided that the continuously produced band-shaped composite material after the step (iii) or downstream of a Walzplattierungseinrichtung, which is directly adjacent to the merging device, severed or isolated. Accordingly, the produced multilayer tape can then be processed via further process steps, e.g. Trimming of strip edges, cold rolling, hot dip galvanizing, coating. In this connection it should be noted that a heating device, in the function of a holding furnace, e.g. can be arranged between the rough rolling mill or the Walzplattierungseinrichtung and the finishing train, if necessary, to enable a batch operation. This is advantageous in the case where decoupling of the casting speed from the speed at which the composite material produced e.g. is processed in the finishing train, is desired. A severing of the produced composite material by means of a separating device between the roughing train and the finishing train makes this possible.

Between the
In order to remedy possible disturbances in the casting process, the

The invention now works as follows:

For the further processing of the closed
