Die Verschlüsse 11 - 14 haben jeweils eine treibstangenseitige Baugruppe 15 und ein im Rahmen 1 und in der Bodenschwelle 4 angeordnetes Gegenlager 16. Der primäre Flügel 2 wird häufig auch als Gangflügel bezeichnet, während der sekundäre Flügel 3 auch als Standflügel bezeichnet wird. In der dargestellten hervorstehenden Stellung befinden sich die Riegel 17, 18 in der Verriegelungsstellung. In einer Entriegelungsstellung sind die Riegel 17, 18 bündig in Gehäuse 21, 22 der treibstangenseitigen Baugruppe 15 zurück geschwenkt. Die Riegel 17, 18 haben jeweils eine Stützfläche 23, 24, mit denen sie sich dem Gegenlager 16 abstützen. Die Riegel 17, 18 sind in der Verriegelungsstellung zueinander versetzt, so dass die Stützflächen 23, 24 nicht fluchten.
