Description

The present invention relates generally to a portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner.

It is known in the prior art a portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner which comprises a main body and a cyclonic enclosure, such as that described in the documents EP2043493B1 and US2017 / 196421A1 . In return, this system has the particular disadvantage of presenting a risk of scratches of the base of the cyclonic enclosure which is transparent, in particular when the user places the vacuum cleaner on a support (the floor, a table or a shelf) . In addition, the base of the cyclonic enclosure of this device can form a cover, and the joint or the seals are stressed each time the user puts the vacuum cleaner on the support, which can affect the life or integrity of these items.

An object of the present invention is to respond to the drawbacks of the prior art mentioned above and in particular, first of all, to provide a portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner which has a robust cyclonic enclosure with an aspect and an integrity which have a good resistance over time, even if the device is regularly handled, placed or stored without special precautions.

For this, a first aspect of the invention relates to a portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner comprising:
  • a main body,
  • an air circuit comprising a suction air inlet and an air outlet,
  • a cyclonic enclosure secured to the main body, and arranged to separate impurities from an air flow passing through the air circuit,
in which the main body and the cyclonic enclosure each have a base,
the base of the main body comprising a main lower surface and support means forming a support plane for the vacuum cleaner to rest on a flat support,
the base of the cyclonic enclosure is offset from the support plane, so that only the support means of the base of the main body rest on the planar support.

According to the above implementation, the base of the cyclonic enclosure is offset upward relative to the support plane, which guarantees that the base of the cyclonic enclosure does not touch the support on which the vacuum cleaner cyclonic laptop rests. This eliminates friction between the base of the cyclonic enclosure and the support or between impurities located on the support or on the base of the cyclonic enclosure. The risk of scratches of the cyclonic enclosure is therefore eliminated. In other words, the base of the cyclonic enclosure has a lower surface, and the latter is arranged at a predetermined distance from the support plane to avoid contact between the base of the cyclonic enclosure and the support on which the device rests. .

In addition, when devoid of accessories, the only weight of the main body, which includes means for storing electrical energy, is sufficient to ensure the stability of the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner on its support means.

The support means comprise two longitudinal lateral ribs arranged on each side of the main lower surface of the base of the main body. Such ribs are easy to manufacture, for example by molding. In addition, the lateral ribs being arranged on each side of the lower surface of the base of the main body which has an elongated shape, this provides good stability.

Advantageously, the two longitudinal lateral ribs have an increasing slope in the direction of the cyclonic enclosure.

Advantageously, the support means comprise a transverse rib arranged between the two longitudinal lateral ribs, and arranged on an edge of the main lower surface of the base of the main body adjacent to the cyclonic enclosure. This implementation makes it possible to provide support by the transverse rib as close as possible to the cyclonic enclosure, which improves the stability of the vacuum cleaner when it rests on the support.

Advantageously, when devoid of its accessories, the vacuum cleaner has a center of gravity located in the main body. In other words, when the device rests on a horizontal support, the center of gravity seen from above is situated vertically and inside a surface defined by the support means in contact with the support. This automatically brings the device back to a stable position, should it become unbalanced. In particular, if the device were to be unbalanced towards the front then the lower surface of the cyclonic enclosure would act as a stop on the support, before the device returns to stabilize (by itself by leverage of the weight of the device) in an equilibrium position in which the support means rest on the support.

Advantageously, the base of the main body forms a shoulder at the interface with the base of the cyclonic enclosure.

Advantageously, the support means of the main body include recesses intended to come opposite the planar support when the support means of the base of the main body rest on the planar support. These recesses save material during manufacture and limit contact between the main lower surface of the main body and the support, which improves stability if the support is uneven, or covered with impurities.

Advantageously, the cyclonic enclosure comprises a body and a cover articulated on the body and forming at least a portion of the base of the cyclonic enclosure. The offset of the base of the cyclonic enclosure therefore makes it possible to limit the stresses on the cover and its articulation, since the device does not rest on the latter when the user places the device on a support.

Advantageously, the cover is articulated on the body according to a pivot connection.

Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic enclosure has a flat bottom surface substantially parallel to the support plane and situated at a predetermined distance from the support plane included in a value range from 3 mm to 15 mm. This ensures that the base of the cyclone enclosure is far enough away from the support when the device is placed on it.

Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic enclosure has a lower surface having a distance from the support plane which increases progressively from an edge of the base of the cyclonic enclosure adjacent to the base of the main body up to a free end, said free end being located at a predetermined distance from the support plane included in a value range from 4 mm to 15 mm. This ensures that the base of the cyclone enclosure is far enough away from the support when the device is placed on it.

Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic enclosure has a flat lower surface having an increasing slope from the interface with the base of the main body to a free end, said free end being located at a predetermined distance from the support plane included. in a value range from 4 mm to 15 mm. This ensures that the base of the cyclone enclosure is far enough away from the support when the device is placed on it.

Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic enclosure has a curved lower surface having a convex curvature from the interface with the base of the main body to a free end, said free end being located at a predetermined distance from the support plane included. in a value range from 4 mm to 15 mm. This ensures that the base of the cyclone enclosure is far enough away from the support when the device is placed on it.

Advantageously, the main body comprises a housing for electrical energy storage means, such as a battery, and the main lower surface of the base of the main body forms a lower wall of the housing for the electrical energy storage means. . In other words, the electrical energy storage means are positioned in the lower part of the main body, which makes it possible to stabilize the device even better.

This arrangement allows the center of gravity to be placed very low on the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner, which further improves its stability.

Advantageously, at least part of the support means is formed with an elastomeric material, such as EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer). Such a material limits shock, and has a high coefficient of friction, which improves the resistance to sliding on an inclined support for example.

Advantageously, the support means are protruding from the main lower surface of the base of the main body.

Advantageously, the cyclonic enclosure is adjacent to the main body.

Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic enclosure is formed with a transparent material. This allows you to easily check the filling level in the cyclone enclosure to know when to empty it. We can plan to make the cyclonic enclosure polycarbonate for example.

Advantageously, the cyclonic enclosure has an elongated shape in a main direction substantially perpendicular to the support plane.

Advantageously, the main body comprises gripping means such as a handle.

Advantageously, the main body comprises control means, such as a trigger, arranged to be actuated by a user to control the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner.

Advantageously, the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner comprises a motor-fan, preferably arranged in the main body.

Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description of an embodiment of the invention given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings, in which:
  • the figure 1 represents a portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner according to the present invention, resting on a support;
  • the figure 2 represents a detail of the cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner of the figure 1 ;
  • the figure 3 represents a partial view from below of the cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner of the figure 1 ;

  • the figure 5 represents a side view of the cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner of the figure 1 , equipped with accessories;
  • the figure 6 represents the cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner of the figure 1 in an unstable position.

The figure 1 represents a portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner according to the present invention, resting on a support 100 (the floor, a table or a shelf) and which comprises a main body 10, a cyclonic enclosure 30, an air inlet 21 and an air outlet 22. As shown in the figure 1 , we may provide a brush at the air inlet 21 to scrub a surface to be cleaned.

Typically, the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner comprises an air circuit formed between the air inlet 21 and the air outlet 22, and a motor-fan intended to create an air flow in the air circuit. The cyclonic enclosure 30 is located on the path of the air flow and separates the impurities sucked in by the air intake from the air flow, by kinetic effect.

A helical movement is imposed on the air flow in the cyclonic enclosure 30, which makes it possible to eject the impurities, to store and collect them temporarily in the lower part of the cyclonic enclosure 30. Typically, the cyclonic enclosure 30 is formed of transparent plastic, to allow the user to easily check the level of impurities, in order to regularly empty the cyclonic enclosure 30.

For this purpose, the cyclonic enclosure 30 formed mainly by a body 33 comprises a cover 31 located in the lower part of the cyclonic enclosure 30 and articulated with respect to the body 33 according to a pivot link of pivot axis 32 as shown in the figure 3 , which makes it possible to easily empty the impurities above a bin for example.

Of course, the present invention is in no way limited to this embodiment given here by way of example. Thus, the cyclonic enclosure 30 could very well be emptied from above after separation of the cyclonic enclosure 30 from the rest of the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner.

The main body 10 therefore comprises the motor-fan, and it also includes a handle 11 to offer good ergonomics of use, a control trigger 12 for controlling the operation, and means for storing electrical energy, here a battery. 16, to supply the fan motor.

As shown figure 1 , the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner is designed to be able to be placed on a support 100 stably. However, the cyclonic enclosure 30, and in particular its cover 31, is made of transparent plastic, and friction on the support 100 which can be covered with impurities can scratch the cover 31, which deteriorates the perceived quality. In addition, the connection between the body 33 and the cover 31 must remain sealed and the cover 31 must be able to open without effort. Repeated shocks between the support 100 and the cover 31 could alter these sealing and / or opening functions.

In other words, when the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner rests on a support 100 which is planar, a predetermined distance d is provided between the lower surface of the cyclonic enclosure 30 and the support 100, so as to avoid friction (to prevent scratches) and / or impacts (to preserve the sealing and / or opening functions of the cover 31 ).

In other words, the main body 10 comprises support means on its base (its underside) which therefore form a support plane (which coincides with the support 100 plane of the figure 1 ), and the base of the cyclonic enclosure 30 is offset relative to this support plane to avoid touching the support 100 plane.

The figure 2 shows in detail the offset of the base of the cyclone enclosure 30 relative to the support plane formed by the support means of the base of the main body 10, and here shows a distance between the base of the cyclone enclosure 30 which increases as one moves away from an edge 10a of the base of the main body 10 which is adjacent to the cyclonic enclosure 30. As an alternative, a lower face of the cyclonic enclosure 30 can be provided parallel to the support 100, or even any surface. However, the base of the cyclonic enclosure 30 (or at least its lowest point) is always offset from the support plane formed by the means support, so as not to touch the support 100 when the cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner rests on this support 100.

To guarantee good stability, the battery 16 is arranged in a housing formed in the lower part of the base of the main body 10. A wall of this battery housing 16 is formed by a main lower surface 19 of the main body 10. Thus , the center of gravity of the figure 1 (without accessories therefore) is located very low in the main body 10, which makes it possible to bring the position of the figure 1 the device which would be unbalanced in a represented position figure 6 , simply by leveraging the weight P. We can also note that on the figure 6 , the lower edge of the cyclonic enclosure 30 opposite the main body 10 is supported on the support 100, which makes it possible to limit tilting and to guarantee that the leverage effect of the weight P is sufficient to return the apparatus to the position stable.

The figure 3 represents a perspective view from below of the apparatus of the figure 1 , where the support means of the base of the main body 10 are shown, and in particular two lateral ribs 16a and 16b arranged along the length of the base of the main body 10, a transverse rib 17 and recesses 18 formed in the lower surface main.

At the part of the base of the main body 10 adjacent to the cyclonic enclosure 30, the transverse rib 17 forms a shoulder with the cyclonic enclosure 30. It can be envisaged that the two lateral ribs 16a and 16b and the transverse rib 17 are protruding from the main lower surface 19 of the base of the main body 10, and formed by providing grooves in the manufacturing tool, typically an injection mold. To guarantee stability in the case shown, the two lateral ribs 16a and 16b have an increasing slope in the direction of the cyclonic enclosure 30.

To increase the stability on a support 100, provision may be made to form the lateral ribs 16a, 16b with a flexible elastomeric material, such as EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer). Such a material limits shocks, and has a high coefficient of friction, which improves the resistance to sliding on a support which would be inclined for example.

Based on the main body 10 figure 3 , there is also a cover 13 which closes the housing provided for the battery 16.

The figure 4 represents another point of view of the main lower surface 19 of the main body 10, to show the two lateral ribs 16a and 16b and the transverse rib 17 from another angle, and in particular the increasing slope of the two lateral ribs 16a and 16b, thus as the recess between the transverse rib 17 and the cover 31, which guarantees that the latter will be at a good distance from the support 100, so as to avoid scratches and shocks on the lower surface of the cyclonic enclosure 30.

The figure 5 represents the portable cyclonic vacuum cleaner equipped with optional accessories, such as a nozzle 50 with an extension tube which couples with the air inlet 21. Such a nozzle 50 advantageously forms a stick vacuum cleaner.

It will be understood that various modifications and / or improvements evident to those skilled in the art can be made to the various embodiments of the invention described in the present description without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the appended claims.
