Description

cyclonic portable dust collector
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a portable dust catcher of cyclone formula generally.
Background
A cyclonic portable cleaner comprising a main body and a cyclonic chamber is known in the art, for example as described in document EP2043493B 1. However, this system is particularly at risk of scratching the base of the transparent cyclonic chamber, especially when the user places the cleaner on a support (floor, table, or shelf). In addition, the base of the cyclonic chamber of the appliance may form a lid, and the hinged or sealing engagement is stressed whenever the user places the cleaner on a support, which may affect the life or integrity of these elements.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, and in particular, to first propose a cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner having a robust cyclonic chamber and having good durability in appearance and integrity even if the device is periodically moved, placed or stored without special precautions.
to this end, a first aspect of the present invention relates to a cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner, comprising:
-a main body,
An air circuit comprising an air intake and an air outlet,
A cyclonic chamber integral with the main body and arranged to separate impurities from an air flow flowing through the air circuit,
Wherein the body and cyclone chamber each have a base,
The base of the main body comprising a main lower surface and bearing means forming a bearing plane for the cleaner to rest on a flat support,
Characterised in that the base of the cyclonic chamber is offset relative to the support plane such that only the support means of the base of the main body rests on a flat support.
According to the above embodiment, the base of the cyclonic chamber is offset upwardly relative to the support plane, which ensures that the base of the cyclonic chamber does not contact the support on which the cyclonic portable cleaner rests. This eliminates friction between the base of the cyclone chamber and the support or between impurities on the support or on the cyclone chamber. Thus eliminating the risk of scraping the cyclone chamber. In other words, the base of the cyclonic chamber has a lower surface and the lower surface is arranged at a predetermined distance from the support plane to avoid contact between the base of the cyclonic chamber and a support on which the device rests.
In addition, when there are no accessories, the only weight of the main body, which comprises the means for storing electric energy, is sufficient to ensure the stability of the cyclonic portable cleaner on said supporting means.
Advantageously, the support means comprise two longitudinal side ribs arranged on either side of the main lower surface of the base of the main body. Such ribs are easy to manufacture, for example by moulding. In addition, the side ribs are arranged on each side of the lower surface of the base of the body having the elongated shape, which provides good stability.
Advantageously, the two longitudinal side ribs have an increasing inclination in the direction of the cyclone chamber.
Advantageously, the support means comprises a transverse rib disposed between the two longitudinal side ribs and on the edge of the main lower surface of the base of the main body adjacent the cyclonic chamber. This solution allows to provide support by the transverse ribs as close as possible to the cyclonic chamber, which improves the stability when the cleaner is resting on the support.
Advantageously, the centre of gravity of the cleaner is located in the main body when no accessories are present. In other words, when the apparatus rests on a horizontal support, the centre of gravity, seen from above, lies vertically within the surface defined by the bearing means in contact with the support. This allows the device to be automatically brought back into a stable position if it is out of balance. In particular, if the equipment is unbalanced forward, the lower surface of the cyclonic chamber will act as a stop on the support and then in the equilibrium position (in which the support means rests on the support) where the equipment is restabilized (itself by leveraging of the weight of the equipment).
advantageously, the base of the body forms a shoulder at the interface with the base of the cyclonic chamber.
advantageously, the bearing means of the body comprise a hollow intended to be opposite a flat support when the bearing means of the base of the body rest on the flat support. These hollowed-out portions allow to reduce the cost of material at the time of manufacture and to limit the contact between the main lower surface of the body and the support, which optimizes the stability when the support is uneven or covered by impurities.
advantageously, the cyclonic chamber comprises a cyclonic chamber body and a lid hinged to the cyclonic chamber body, the lid forming at least part of a base of the cyclonic chamber. Thus, the deviation of the base of the cyclonic chamber allows for limiting the constraint of the cover and the hinging of the cover, since the device does not rest on the cover when the user places the device on the support.
Advantageously, the lid is hinged to the cyclone chamber body according to a pivotal connection.
Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic chamber has a flat lower surface which is substantially parallel to the support plane and is located at a predetermined distance from the support plane, the predetermined distance being in the range 3mm to 15 mm. This allows to ensure that the base of the cyclonic chamber is sufficiently far from the support when the device is placed over the support.
Advantageously, the base of the cyclone chamber has a lower surface at a distance from the support plane which progressively increases from the edge of the base of the cyclone chamber adjacent the main body to a free end located at a predetermined distance from the support plane, the predetermined distance being in the range 4mm to 15 mm. This allows ensuring that the base of the cyclonic chamber is sufficiently far from the support when the device is placed over the support.
advantageously, the base of the cyclonic chamber has a flat lower surface with increasing slope from the intersection with the base of the main body to a free end located at a predetermined distance from the support plane, the predetermined distance being in the range 4mm to 15 mm. This allows ensuring that the base of the cyclonic chamber is sufficiently far from the support when the device is placed over the support.
Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic chamber has a curved lower surface having a convex curvature from an interface with the base of the main body to a free end located at a predetermined distance from the support plane, the predetermined distance being in the range 4mm to 15 mm. This allows ensuring that the base of the cyclonic chamber is sufficiently far from the support when the device is placed over the support.
advantageously, the body comprises a housing for housing an electrical energy storage device (for example a battery), and the main lower surface of the base of the body forms a lower wall of the housing for housing the electrical energy storage device. In other words, the electrical energy storage means are placed in the lower part of the body, which allows a better stabilization of the device.
This arrangement allows the centre of gravity to be located at a very low position of the cyclonic portable cleaner, which further improves its stability.
Advantageously, at least a portion of said support means is formed of an elastomeric material, such as EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer). Such materials limit the impact and have a large coefficient of friction, which improves the sliding resistance on e.g. a tilting support.
Advantageously, said support means protrude with respect to a main lower surface of the base of said body.
Advantageously, the cyclonic chamber is adjacent the main body.
Advantageously, the base of the cyclonic chamber is formed from a transparent material. This allows the fill level in the cyclonic chamber to be easily controlled in order to know when to empty it. For example, a cyclone chamber made of polycarbonate can be considered.
Advantageously, the cyclonic chamber has a shape that is elongate in a main direction substantially perpendicular to the support plane.
Advantageously, the body comprises gripping means, such as a handle.
advantageously, the main body comprises control means, such as a key, arranged to be actuated by a user to control the cyclonic portable cleaner.
Advantageously, the cyclonic portable cleaner comprises a motor fan, preferably arranged in the main body.
Advantageously, the air circuit is arranged in the body.
Advantageously, the cyclonic portable cleaner comprises a detachable tube and nozzle arranged for coupling with the main body to form a broom cleaner.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a cyclonic portable vacuum cleaner according to the present invention, which rests on a support 100 (floor, table, or shelf) and comprises a main body 10, a cyclonic chamber 30, an air inlet 21 and an air outlet 22. As illustrated in fig. 1, a brush may be provided at the air inlet 21 to wipe the surface to be cleaned.
Generally, the cyclonic portable cleaner comprises an air circuit formed between the air inlet 21 and the air outlet 22 and a motor fan for generating an air flow in the air circuit. The cyclonic chamber 30 is located in the path of the air stream and separates impurities drawn in by the air inlet from the air stream by a kinetic effect.
The air flow in the cyclone chamber 30 is given a spiral motion, which allows for the ejection of impurities for temporary storage or reception in the lower part of said cyclone chamber 30. Typically, the cyclone chamber 30 is formed of a transparent plastic material to allow a user to easily check the impurity level to periodically empty the cyclone chamber 30.
For this purpose, the cyclone chamber 30, which is mainly formed by a cyclone chamber body 33, comprises a cover 31, which cover 31 is located in a lower part of the cyclone chamber 30 and is hinged with respect to the cyclone chamber body 33 according to a pivotal connection of a pivot shaft 32 as shown in fig. 3, which allows for easy emptying of impurities, for example above a dustbin.
Of course, the present invention is by no means limited to the embodiments given in this example. Therefore, the cyclone chamber 30 can be well emptied from above after the cyclone chamber 30 is detached from the rest of the cyclone type portable cleaner.
The body 10 thus comprises a motor fan and also a handle 11, a control pin 12 and an electrical energy storage means, here a battery 16; the handle 11 is used to provide a good ergonomic use experience, the control pin 12 is used to control the operation, and the electrical energy storage device is used to power the motor fan.
As shown in fig. 1, it is known that the cyclone type portable cleaner can be stably placed on a support 100. However, the cyclone chamber 30, and in particular the cover 31 thereof, is made of a transparent plastic material, and friction on the support 100, which may be covered by impurities, may scratch the cover 31, which changes the quality of the texture. In addition, the connection between the cyclone chamber body 33 and the cover 31 should remain sealed and the cover 31 should be able to be opened without difficulty. Repeated impacts between the support 100 and the lid 31 may alter these sealing and/or opening functions.
thus, it is an advantage of the present invention to provide a space between the cover 31 and the support 100. In other words, when the cyclonic portable cleaner is resting on the flat support 100, a predetermined distance d is provided between the lower surface of the cyclonic chamber 30 and the support 100 to avoid friction (to prevent scratching) and/or impact (to maintain the sealing function and/or the opening function of the lid 31).
In other words, the body 10 comprises bearing means on its base (its lower surface) which thus forms a bearing plane (which coincides with the flat support 100 of figure 1) and with respect to which the base of the cyclonic chamber 30 is offset to avoid contacting the flat support 100.
Figure 2 shows in detail the deviation of the cyclonic chamber 30 from the support plane formed by the support means of the base of the main body 10 and here shows the distance between the bases of the cyclonic chambers 30 which increases with distance from the edge 10a of the base of the main body 10 which is adjacent the cyclonic chamber 30. Alternatively, the lower surface of the cyclone chamber 30, or either surface, may be designed to be parallel to the support 100. However, the base of the cyclonic chamber 30 (or at least its lowest point) is always offset from the support plane formed by the support means so as not to contact the support 100 when the cyclonic portable cleaner is resting on the support 100.
in order to ensure good stability, the batteries 16 are arranged in a housing provided in the lower part of the base of said body 10. The walls of the housing for the battery 16 are formed by a major lower surface 19 of said body 10. The centre of gravity of the device of figure 1 (and therefore without accessories) is therefore located in a very low position in the body 10, which allows the device to return to the position of figure 1 in which it would not be able to remain balanced due to the lever action of the simple weight P. It can also be noted in figure 6 that the lower edge of the cyclonic chamber 30 opposite the main body 10 rests on a support 100, which allows to limit overturning and ensures that the leverage of the weight P is sufficient to return the device to a stable position.
Fig. 3 shows a bottom perspective view of the device of fig. 1, in which the support means of the base of the body 10 are shown, in particular the two lateral ribs 16a and 16b arranged along the length of the base of the body 10, the transverse rib 17 and the hollowed-out portion 18 formed in the main lower surface.
The transverse rib 17 forms a shoulder with the cyclone chamber 30 at a portion of the base of the main body 10 adjacent to the cyclone chamber 30. It is contemplated that the two side ribs 16a and 16b and the transverse rib 17 protrude with respect to the main lower surface 19 of the base of the main body 10 and are formed by preparing a groove in a manufacturing tool (typically an injection mold). In order to ensure stability in the case shown, the two side ribs 16a and 16b have an increasing inclination in the direction of the cyclone chamber 30.
to enhance the stability of the support 100, it is contemplated to form the side ribs 16a, 16b from a flexible elastomeric material, such as EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer). Such materials limit collisions and have a large coefficient of friction, which improves the sliding resistance, for example, on inclined supports.
On the base of the body 10 of fig. 3, there is also marked a cover 13 which closes the housing provided for the battery 16.
Fig. 4 shows another point of view of the main lower surface 19 of the main body 10 to show the two side ribs 16a and 16b and the transverse rib 17 at another angle, and in particular the increased inclination of the two side ribs 16a and 16b, and the unhooking between the transverse rib 17 and the cover 31, which ensures a good distance between said cover 31 and the support 100, thus avoiding scratches and collisions on the lower surface of the cyclonic chamber 30.
Figure 5 shows a cyclonic portable cleaner fitted with optional accessories, such as a nozzle 50 having an extension tube which is joined to the air inlet 21. Such a nozzle 50 allows to advantageously form a broom cleaner.
It is to be understood that modifications and/or improvements obvious to a person skilled in the art may be made to the various embodiments of the invention described in the present description without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the appended claims.
