Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a lavatory with flushing, short toilet, which accordingly has a flushing water connection, and its use.

WCs have been standard for a long time and are widely used. According to their function they have a connection for rinse water, which comes from a flushing water supply, such as a cistern or a flushing water pipe without cistern, but with flushing valve. Of the cistern regularly leads a vertical piece of pipe down to a so-called rinsing arc, in which the line direction is changed by about 90 degrees to the toilet. If there is no cistern, a corresponding flushing water pipe, for example, run horizontally in a wall behind the toilet and is also accessible via a rinsing arc (ie a corner piece).

A toilet essentially consists of a toilet body, often made of ceramic. The toilet body regularly has a back, with which it is moved to an installation wall. In hanging mounting the toilet body hangs with this back on the wall; but he can also have his own stand. The connections are made regularly on the back, including the toilet body at the back of corresponding connection piece for the rinse water and of course also for the wastewater has. The rinse water supplied by the rinse water connection is conventionally distributed along a rinse edge in the toilet bowl. More recently, WCs have increasingly come onto the market with a single (or a few) flush water inlet openings (or a few such openings) arranged in a side wall of the WC bowl, which introduces the flush water substantially horizontally and along the toilet bowl inner wall. Such flushing water inlet openings are often not rear, but provided laterally.

The problem is solved by a toilet with a toilet body, a toilet bowl in the toilet body, a flushing water inlet opening in the toilet body and in the toilet bowl, integrated in the toilet body line between the flushing water inlet opening and a Rinse water connection of the toilet, with the rinse water connection behind the toilet bowl and at a distance of at least 5 cm is arranged to the rear of the toilet body, and by its advantageous use.

The basic idea of the invention is to leave an intermediate distance between an integrated flushing water connection of the WC and the rear side of the WC body. This is at least 5 cm, preferably at least 6 cm, 7 cm, 8 cm, 9 cm or even 10 cm.

Under the flushing water connection is understood to be the connection to the toilet body itself, ie on a line piece, on the one hand in the toilet body is integrated and on the other hand of the flushing water connection to the rinse water inlet opening (in the toilet bowl) leads.

The distance according to the invention can be bridged when connecting via a corresponding pipe section, which will be discussed in more detail. This is then not integrated with the toilet body and can also consist of a different material. With regard to the toilet body itself, the flushing water connection is preferably without connection to the rear side of the toilet body.

This is especially true for toilets with additional functions, especially shower toilets, which are a preferred application here. There is between the back of the toilet bowl itself and the rear of the toilet body and / or over this area a certain volume of technical facilities for the shower function and other functions accommodate so that the distance between the bowl back and the toilet body back regularly larger fails as in simple toilets without additional function.

An embodiment of the toilet body made of ceramic is preferred. The pipe section can but z. B. made of plastic. In the case of the ceramic embodiment of the toilet body, the described line can be embodied integrated between the flushing water inlet opening and the flushing water connection in the so-called hollow casting method.

Thus, "integrated" means produced in the same material and in a uniform manufacturing process. There are usually no visible boundaries or material transitions.

In the manufacture of a toilet body made of ceramic with a conventional manner to the back of the toilet body guided ceramic line for the rinse water of the corresponding connection piece is usually connected to other ceramic parts at the rear, in particular with a frame of the toilet body. The inventors herein have found a somewhat increased frequency of cracks which may be caused by ceramic production (including burning and drying) but also by the mechanical load imposed by the user's weight. In any case, it has proven to be problematic to bring to a certain extent a "lever" for introducing force to the rear side of the toilet body with the pipe section for the rinse water.

On the other hand, if you lead the line without such mechanical connection to the back, results in a relatively long and so far "unsupported" piece of pipe, which in turn can be fragile or crack sensitive.

In addition, this piece makes the production of the toilet body unnecessarily expensive, whether this is done in plastic or in ceramic.

Furthermore, it has been found that bridging can take place in a very simple manner and with various advantages to be explained below, as a result of the pipe part (preferably of plastic) required as a result of the distance.

The invention is particularly suitable for the already mentioned above toilets without traditional flushing rim, but with side flushing water inlet opening in the toilet bowl. In this case, the pipe bend connecting this flushing water inlet opening with the flushing water connection can then be integrated with the WC body, in particular in ceramics and in particular with the already mentioned hollow casting method. Over the length of this elbow there will be no further transitions between separate pieces with diameter jumps, splices, gaskets or similar elements that impede flow, provide approaches to fouling problems, increase manufacturing overhead, increase leakage risks and / or complicate assembly.

The flushing water connection is (and quite generally in this invention), preferably centrally with respect to the width direction, that is centric behind the toilet bowl. In the case just described with the elbow this leads not only behind the toilet bowl, but also in an area behind the center, cf. the embodiment.

With the invention, even in such line bends, which regularly have a non-round (for example, oval) cross section, the rinse water connection itself again have a circular cross-section. Thus, conventional connection techniques, ie, in particular a circular sleeve on the part of the flushing water connection of the WC and an inserted pipe end with a conventional seal, can be used. For non-round cross-sections was instead z. B. glued, which is relatively expensive and less reliable.

Another advantage achievable with the invention is not in a reduction of the required line connections or items to pipe sections, namely by the to be connected to the flushing water connection of the toilet (or connected) pipe section is designed to be relatively long.
