Definitions
- the present invention relates to a washing or cleaning agent with an antimicrobial effect which comprises at least glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts in connection with at least one biocidal quaternary ammonium compound.
- Microorganisms can represent a substantial hygienic and health problem in the household.
- the adhesion of microorganisms to surfaces is undesirable, especially in the case of pathogenic microorganisms.
- Adhering microorganisms often lead to infections or reinfections in humans, animals and also plants.
- Antimicrobially active compounds and compositions and their use in detergents are known in the prior art. For example, reveals WO 2013/064340 A1 a cleaning agent for hard surfaces with a pH in the range from 9 to 12, which comprises benzalkonium chloride, a salt of di- or tricarboxylic acids, sodium tripolyphosphate and water.
- quaternary ammonium compounds are described as microbially active compounds in liquid detergents or cleaning agents.
- a concentration-dependent effectiveness gap has been shown, in particular in the case of gram-negative bacteria. These occur in particular in damp areas, such as those prevalent in the bathroom or on damp laundry.
- US 2010227930 A1 discloses compositions with citrate and iminodisuccinate complexing agents.
- One object of the present invention is therefore to provide an antimicrobially active washing or cleaning agent with at least one quaternary ammonium compound in which the antimicrobial effectiveness is improved compared to known formulations.
- glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts can achieve an improved antimicrobial effect of the quaternary ammonium compounds, although the glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts themselves are not antimicrobial.
- a synergistic effect has been shown here between the quaternary ammonium compounds and glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts.
- a washing or cleaning agent Using a washing or cleaning agent according to the invention, a hygiene effect can thus be achieved even at low washing temperatures and with liquid detergents, which is comparable to the hygienic performance of bleach-containing powder detergents at higher temperatures of 60 ° C. or more.
- a predominant effectiveness gap against Pseudomonadae or other microorganisms can also be closed in this way.
- the washing or cleaning agent according to the invention has at least one tetracarboxylic acid, which according to the invention is glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid, or its salts (tetracarbonates).
- Tetracarboxylic acids have one of the following general structures (Ia), (Ib) or (Ic):
- the corresponding tetracarbonates accordingly preferably have the following general structures (IIa), (IIb) or (IIc):
- tetracarboxylic acid is described below, it is also to be understood accordingly to include the tetracarbonates, and vice versa.
- m, n, o and p each independently of one another represent whole natural numbers in the range from 0 to 10, in particular from 0 to 8, preferably from 1 to 6, particularly from 1 to 5, and particularly preferably for 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, and in particular for 0, 1 or 2.
- the salt is preferably the ammonium and / or alkali metal salt, and Z + is preferably NH 4 + , Na + or K + .
- A is preferably selected from a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl radical having 2 to 14 carbon atoms, or an element of group 14, 15 or 16 of the Periodic Table (PSE). These are of course restricted according to the valence of the atoms. It is obvious to the person skilled in the art that in formula (Ia) or (IIa) A does not represent an element of the 15th or 16th group of the (PSE), as does elements of the 16th in formula (Ib) or (IIb) Group are excluded. If A has an open valence, a hydrogen atom is bound to it.

Description
The present invention relates to a washing or cleaning agent with an antimicrobial effect which comprises at least glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts in connection with at least one biocidal quaternary ammonium compound.
Microorganisms can represent a substantial hygienic and health problem in the household. The adhesion of microorganisms to surfaces is undesirable, especially in the case of pathogenic microorganisms. Adhering microorganisms often lead to infections or reinfections in humans, animals and also plants.
More and more sensitive textiles, such as silk or microfibres, are being processed into garments that can only be washed at 30 ° C or 40 ° C. Microorganisms are not safely killed at such temperatures. In addition to the lower washing temperatures, it is now common to use liquid detergents, which are usually free from bleach, which are antimicrobial. In addition, problems with bad smells can arise because residual germs multiply when drying, wearing or storing clothes on the laundry and produce bad smelling metabolic products.
The problem of microorganisms adhering, however, does not only exist on clothing or other textile fabrics, such as towels or bed linen, but also when cleaning in the household itself, for example hard surfaces such as floors, bathrooms or dishes.
Due to the prevailing washing behavior, textiles or surfaces contaminated with viruses, bacteria or other microorganisms cannot be made aseptic to the required extent, so that an infection or reinfection may occur.
So offenbart beispielsweise
In
One object of the present invention is therefore to provide an antimicrobially active washing or cleaning agent with at least one quaternary ammonium compound in which the antimicrobial effectiveness is improved compared to known formulations.
Surprisingly, it has been shown that glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts can achieve an improved antimicrobial effect of the quaternary ammonium compounds, although the glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts themselves are not antimicrobial. Surprisingly, a synergistic effect has been shown here between the quaternary ammonium compounds and glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid or its salts.
Using a washing or cleaning agent according to the invention, a hygiene effect can thus be achieved even at low washing temperatures and with liquid detergents, which is comparable to the hygienic performance of bleach-containing powder detergents at higher temperatures of 60 ° C. or more. For cleaning agents for hard surfaces, a predominant effectiveness gap against Pseudomonadae or other microorganisms can also be closed in this way.

A is preferably selected from a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl radical having 2 to 14 carbon atoms, or an element of group 14, 15 or 16 of the Periodic Table (PSE). These are of course restricted according to the valence of the atoms. Besonders bevorzugt steht A für N.In the general structural formula (Ib, A preferably stands for an element of group 15 of the PSE. It is particularly preferably nitrogen (N) or phosphorus (P). A particularly preferably stands for N.
In this preferred embodiment, m, n, o and p each independently represent 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, in particular 0, 1 or 2. According to the invention, the tetracarboxylic acid is glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid, in which n = 0, m and o = 1 and p = 2 and A is N.
The washing or cleaning agent preferably comprises at least 0.05% by weight or more, based on the total weight of the washing or cleaning agent, of the at least one tetracarboxylic acid or its salts. It has been shown that this proportion is necessary to enable the QAV to have a reinforcing effect. The detergent or cleaning agent preferably contains the tetracarboxylic acids in a proportion of 0.05% by weight to 5% by weight, in particular 0.05% by weight to 3% by weight, preferably 0.1% by weight. -% to 1% by weight. Amounts in excess of this do not lead to a further strengthening of the antimicrobial effect of the QAV, so that "more" does not lead to a significant increase in performance.
Without being bound by this theory, it is assumed that the glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid enables access to the cell membrane of the microbes due to its properties as a chelating agent, so that the QAV have an improved attack effect. Surprisingly, it has been shown that the tetracarboxylic acids are functional both at acidic and at neutral and basic pH values. The washing or cleaning agent according to the invention can thus have a pH of 7,> 7 or <7.
The liquid washing or cleaning agent contains a biocidal quaternary ammonium compound as an essential component. The quaternary ammonium compounds (QAC) suitable as biocidal active ingredients have the general formula (R 1 ) (R 2 ) (R 3 ) (R 4 ) N + X ", in which R 1 to R 4 are identical or different C 1 -C 22 alkyl radicals, C 7 -C 28 aralkyl radicals or heterocyclic radicals, where two or, in the case of an aromatic bond as in pyridine, even three radicals together with the nitrogen atom form the heterocycle, for example a pyridinium or imidazolinium compound, and X " Are halide ions, sulfate ions, hydroxide ions or the like anions.
