Definitions
- the disclosure relates to a shoe, more particularly to a moisture-permeable waterproof shoe having an upper made of a jacquard woven fabric.
- a conventional shoe includes a sole, an upper made of a jacquard woven fabric and fixed to the sole, and a lining disposed inside the upper.
- the conventional shoe can have good air permeability through porous structures of the materials of the upper and the lining, it is not waterproof and windproof, and cannot provide warmth.
- an object of the present disclosure is to provide a moisture-permeable waterproof shoe that is capable of overcoming at least one of the drawbacks of the prior art.
- a moisture-permeable waterproof shoe of this disclosure includes an upper made of a jacquard woven fabric and having an inner surface, an inner sleeve unit having an inner sleeve body fixed to the inner surface of the upper, and a sole fixed to a bottom end of the upper and a bottom portion of the inner sleeve body.
- the inner sleeve body includes a three-dimensional sleeve portion, and a moisture-permeable waterproof membrane attached to an outer surface of the three-dimensional sleeve portion.
- the three-dimensional sleeve portion includes two layered structures connected to and cooperating with each other to define a foot space having a top open end and a bottom closed end for accommodating a user's foot.
- Each layered structure includes an outer fabric layer, a lining fabric layer, and an intermediate foam layer fixed between the outer fabric layer and the lining fabric layer.
- the inner sleeve unit further has a connecting layer connecting the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane to the inner surface of the upper.
- a moisture-permeable waterproof shoe according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure is shown to comprise an upper 10, an inner sleeve unit 20, a sole 30 and an adhesive layer 40.
- the upper 10 is made of a jacquard woven fabric, and has an inner surface 11, a top open end 12 and a bottom end 13 defining an opening 131.
- the inner sleeve unit 20 has an inner sleeve body 21 and a connecting layer 22.
- the inner sleeve body 21 is fixed to the inner surface 11 of the upper 10, and has a bottom portion 211 (see Fig. 2 ) that is not adhered to the inner surface 11 of the upper 10 and that is immediately adjacent to the opening 131.
- the inner sleeve body 21 includes a three-dimensional sleeve portion 23, and a moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24 attached to an outer surface of the three-dimensional sleeve portion 23.
- the three-dimensional sleeve portion 23 includes two layered structures 231 connected to and cooperating with each other to define a foot space 25 having a top open end and a bottom closed end for accommodating a user's foot.
- Each layered structure 231 includes an outer fabric layer 232, a lining fabric layer 233, and an intermediate foam layer 234 fixed between the outer fabric layer 232 and the lining fabric layer 233.
- each layered structure 231 has the shape of a shoe half, and has a curved top edge 235, and a peripheral edge 236 extending between two opposite ends of the top edge 235.
- the peripheral edges 236 of the layered structures 231 are stitched to each other.
- the connecting layer 22 of this embodiment is an adhesive layer which fixedly adheres the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24 to the inner surface 11 of the upper 10.
- the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24 covers the outer fabric layers 232 of the layered structures 231, and is made of polyurethane (PU), but is not limited thereto.
- the moisture- permeable waterproof membrane 24 may be made of a material selected from a group consisting of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), polyethylene (PE) or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
- TPU thermoplastic polyurethane
- PE polyethylene
- PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene
- a water pressure resistance of the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24 using the standard test method of the Japanese regulation JIS L1092B is not less than 3000 mm H 2 O
- a moisture permeability thereof using the standard test method of the Japanese regulation JIS L1099B1 is not less than 3000 g/m 2 /24hr.
- the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24 has a waterproof effect and a moisture-permeable effect.
- the inner sleeve body 21 may be formed by a dipping process or a spraying process.
- the three-dimensional sleeve portion 23 is first sleeved on a shoe last 100, after which it is dipped into a moisture-permeable waterproof resin bath for a certain period of time, so that the moisture-permeable waterproof resin is attached to the outer fabric layers 232 of the layered structures 231 of the three-dimensional sleeve portion 23; then, the three-dimensional sleeve portion 23 is removed from the resin bath, and the shoe last 100 is activated to rotate about its axis, so that the attached moisture-permeable waterproof resin on the three-dimensional sleeve portion 23 is formed into the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24 having a uniform thickness; and finally, the three-dimensional sleeve portion 23 together with the shoe last 100 is placed in an oven (not shown), and is heated at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time to dry and cure
- the inner sleeve unit 20 may further include a waterproof strip 26.
- the waterproof strip 26 is fixedly connected to an outer surface of the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24, and extends along the peripheral edges 236 of the layered structures 231 so as to cover a stitching junction of the layered structures 231, thereby enhancing a waterproof effect of the layered structures 231 at the stitching junction thereof.
- the sole 30 has a top surface 31 fixedly connected to the bottom end 13 of the upper 10 and the bottom portion 211 of the inner sleeve body 21.
- the adhesive layer 40 fixedly adheres the top surface 31 of the sole 30 to the bottom end 13 of the upper 10 and the bottom portion 211 of the inner sleeve body 21.
- the shoe last 100 is first inserted into the foot space 25 of the inner sleeve body 21, after which the outer surface of the moisture-permeable waterproof membrane 24 is sprayed (or coated) with adhesive. Next, the inner surface 11 of the upper 10 is sprayed (or coated) with adhesive, and the upper 10 is sleeved on the inner sleeve body 21. The assembly of the upper 10 and the inner sleeve body 21 is then heated and pressed to fixedly adhere the upper 10 to the inner sleeve body 21. After the assembly of the upper 10 and the inner sleeve body 21 is cooled, the sole 30 is fixedly adhered to the bottom end 13 of the upper 10 and the bottom portion 211 of the inner sleeve body 21 by adhesive. Finally, the shoe last 100 is removed from the assembly.
- the second embodiment of the moisture-permeable waterproof shoe of this disclosure is shown to be generally identical to the first embodiment.
- the moisture-permeable waterproof shoe further comprises a tightening unit 50 and a reinforcing layer 60.
- the upper 10 includes a vamp portion 14, and a heel region 15 (see Fig. 1 ) opposite to the vamp portion 14.
- the sole 30 includes a sole heel region 32.
- the tightening unit 50 is disposed across the vamp portion 14, and is used to tighten the shoe of this embodiment over the user's foot that is inserted into the foot space 25.
- the tightening unit 50 includes a pair of tightening plates 51 respectively connected to left and right sides of the sole 30 and abutting against the vamp portion 14, and two tightening strips 52 interconnecting the tightening plates 51.
- Each tightening plate 51 has a connecting end portion 511 connected to the respective left or right side of the sole 30, and a free end portion 512 opposite to the connecting end portion 511.
- the tightening strips 52 interconnect the free end portions 512 of the tightening plates 51. It should be noted that the number of the tightening strip 52 is not limited to what is disclosed herein, and may be more than two in other embodiment.
- the reinforcing layer 60 is connected to the heel region 15 of the upper 10 and the sole heel region 32 of the sole 30.
