Description

The invention relates to a crockery basket, in particular a cutlery drawer, for a dishwasher, with a support frame which is mounted so that it can be pulled out of a washing compartment of the dishwasher and carries two cutlery inserts arranged thereon, the first of the two cutlery inserts preferably being fixed in position in relation to the support frame and the second of the two Cutlery inserts are movable in relation to the supporting frame.

A crockery basket of the type mentioned, ie generic type is from the EP 2 789 286 A1 known.

The EP 2 789 286 A1 relates to a cutlery drawer for a dishwasher, which has a frame that carries a receiving part. This receiving part is constructed in three parts and has a central part and two wings arranged thereon. The middle part is fixed in place on the frame, whereas the wings are pivotally attached to the middle part. The wings can therefore be pivoted in relation to the middle part and thus also in relation to the frame. Both wings can be pivoted from a first position of use to a second position of use and vice versa. In addition to these pivoting options, one of the two wings can be moved in the width direction and brought into a position above the fixed middle part.

Another cutlery drawer is from the EP 2 754 377 A1 known. This previously known cutlery drawer has a support frame on which three cutlery inserts are arranged, namely a middle cutlery insert on the one hand and two adjacent cutlery inserts that accommodate the middle cutlery insert between them on the other. The middle cutlery insert can be moved in the vertical direction on the support frame. The two other cutlery inserts are each horizontally displaceable transversely to the pull-out direction of the support frame or the cutlery drawer and are each vertically displaceable on the support frame with their long side facing away from the central insert, which extends in the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer.

The WO 2014102737 A1 discloses a cutlery drawer for a dishwasher also has a support frame on which three cutlery inserts are arranged. The two outer cutlery inserts can be moved horizontally and placed in a position above the fixed middle section.

The WO 2017030355 A1 discloses a cutlery drawer for a dishwasher with two cutlery inserts, wherein a cutlery insert can be transferred from a first position of use to a second position of use and vice versa, in the first position of use in a first height position in relation to the support frame and in the second position of use in a second height position in Relation to the supporting frame is aligned horizontally.

Although the cutlery drawers known from the prior art have proven themselves in everyday practical use, there is room for improvement. It is particularly desirable to increase the flexibility on the part of the user when loading the dishwasher with items to be washed. It is therefore the object of the invention to further develop a crockery basket of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that there is increased flexibility in equipping, and at the same time with simplified handling.

To achieve this object, a crockery basket with the features of claim 1 is proposed with the invention.

A dishwasher typically houses a lower basket on the one hand and an upper basket on the other hand, the upper basket being arranged above the lower basket in the height direction of the dishwasher. The cutlery drawer is arranged in the height direction above the upper basket. This is so that it is easier to equip with cutlery items or to unload cutlery items.

However, arranging the cutlery drawer above the upper basket has the disadvantage that the clear height above the upper basket, i.e. the storage space provided by the upper basket is reduced in height by the cutlery drawer, so that larger items cannot be stored in the upper basket.

Furthermore, it is disadvantageous that the clear height above the Cutlery drawer is comparatively small, which only allows it to be fitted with comparatively flat cutlery items. Larger-sized crockery cannot be picked up from the cutlery drawer.

To counteract this problem is the one already cited at the beginning EP 2 789 287 A1 the use of pivotable wings has been proposed. These can be pivoted into an upward inclined position to enlarge the receiving space provided by the upper basket. This further limits the clear height above the cutlery drawer.

With the one already cited above EP 2 754 377 A1 it is proposed in this context to be able to align the cutlery inserts adjacent to a central part with their respective outer longitudinal edge inclined downwards. This results in an inclined position of the cutlery inserts, which increases the clear height above the cutlery drawer at the expense of the clear height above the upper basket.

In the case of the last-mentioned construction, it is particularly disadvantageous that a reduction in the clear height above the upper basket takes place precisely in the regions of the upper basket which are intended to accommodate larger items to be washed.

According to a further development, it has therefore been proposed to design the middle part to be movable in height, whereas the cutlery inserts adjacent to the middle part are only to the side, i.e. are slidable in the width direction of the cutlery drawer. A disadvantage of this construction is the handling, since the height of the middle part is adjusted via two slides, which requires two-handed operation by the user.

In contrast to the previously known constructions, the embodiment according to the invention now provides a first and a second cutlery insert, the first cutlery insert preferably being fixed in position in relation to the supporting frame, and the second cutlery insert being movable in relation to the supporting frame. The movably arranged, second cutlery insert is adjustable in the height direction and can either assume a first or a second position of use. The cutlery insert is oriented horizontally, that is to say without inclinations, both in the first position of use and in the second position of use. The cutlery insert takes place in the first Use an orientation in a first altitude and in the second position in a second altitude. The user therefore has the option of moving the second cutlery insert optionally in the height direction, the cutlery insert occupying an upper position in the first height position and a lower position in relation to the supporting frame and thus also in relation to an upper basket arranged below the cutlery drawer ,

The tilt-free orientation of the cutlery insert in both use positions ensures that the items in the cutlery drawer are held securely in place. On the user side, there is the option of placing the cutlery drawer in a lower position either to accommodate larger items to be washed or in an upper position to hold only small items to be washed. Accordingly, the clear height provided by the upper basket changes, so that it is up to the user to choose the available space depending on the placement task. The construction according to the invention provides that lowering or raising the cutlery drawer leads to use positions that are plane-parallel, i.e. there is always a horizontal alignment of the second cutlery insert.

In this context, it is particularly advantageous if the cutlery drawer has a third cutlery insert, the second and third cutlery insert preferably holding the first cutlery insert between them. The cutlery drawer therefore has three cutlery inserts, one in the middle, i.e. first cutlery insert on the one hand and two cutlery inserts arranged adjacent to each other, namely the second and third cutlery insert on the other. The two cutlery insert according to the invention is designed to be height-adjustable in the manner already described. The third cutlery insert is preferably slidable in relation to the support frame in a direction orthogonal to the pull-out direction of the support frame. The third cutlery insert can thus be moved in the width direction and assume a first use position, in which it is arranged next to the middle part, and a second use position, in which it is moved laterally over the middle part.

According to this preferred further development, the user is given maximum flexibility with regard to the items to be washed. In particular, it is possible to position the second cutlery insert in a lower position in the vertical direction, what it also allows larger items to be washed, such as cups, small bowls and / or bowls, to be placed in the cutlery drawer. At the same time, the third cutlery insert can be moved laterally over the middle section. This allows large items to be placed in the upper basket, because thanks to the shifted third cutlery insert, these can take full advantage of the clear height of both the upper basket and the cutlery drawer. The third cutlery insert, which is moved over the middle section, can serve unhindered to properly accommodate cutlery items. Other assembly scenarios are also conceivable, for example with a second cutlery insert in an upper position with a third cutlery insert not shifted over the central part, so that the user has maximum flexibility with regard to a possible arrangement of cutlery drawer and upper basket.

According to a further feature of the invention, the second cutlery insert has a base which, in the first position of use, spans a first level which is aligned parallel to a second level which is spanned by the base in the second position of use. The second cutlery insert is therefore always aligned with the horizontal at different height levels. The longitudinal edges of the cutlery insert are therefore parallel when moving from one to the other position of use. A horizontal alignment of the bottom of the cutlery insert is then always achieved in the respective end position.

According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the second cutlery insert is designed to be operated with one hand, for which purpose the second cutlery insert has only one handle.

The second cutlery insert can be transferred from the first position of use to the second position of use and vice versa in a simple movement described in the following. This movement can be carried out by the user with one hand, which is why it only requires one hand. The second cutlery insert therefore only has one and not two handles. In terms of construction, the possibility of the simplified movement is achieved in that cams arranged alternately on the cutlery insert interact with abutments on the supporting frame, as will become apparent from the further description of the invention. In any case, the one-handed operability offers the advantage of simplified handling, and this with improved placement flexibility at the same time.

According to a further feature of the invention, the second cutlery insert is adjacent to the first cutlery insert in a direction orthogonal to the pull-out direction of the support frame. The first and the second cutlery insert are therefore arranged side by side in the width direction of the cutlery drawer. The first cutlery insert, i.e. the so-called central part is fixed in place on the support frame and cannot be moved in relation to the support frame, neither in the vertical nor in the horizontal direction. The second cutlery insert, however, is designed to be movable back and forth between two use positions in the manner already described, and this in relation to the first cutlery insert and thus also in relation to the supporting frame.

With a total of three cutlery inserts, the second and third cutlery inserts are each arranged adjacent to the first cutlery insert, so that the first cutlery insert is assigned to a cutlery insert on the right and left side.

According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the second cutlery insert has two end faces that run orthogonally to the direction in which the support frame is pulled out, each of which carries cams that each interact with abutments provided by the support frame. The front side on the one hand and the rear side on the other hand in the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer each form an end face that is orthogonal to the pull-out direction. These end faces each have cams on the outside, which serve for the secure positioning of the cutlery insert both in the first position of use and in the second position of use. In this case, these cams interact with abutments correspondingly designed for this purpose, which are provided by the supporting frame. On guide grooves, such as those from the EP 2 789 286 A1 are therefore completely dispensed with, so that the configuration according to the invention has the advantage of being less susceptible to soiling.

According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that in the first position of use of the second cutlery insert, first and second cams rest on first and second abutments. Accordingly, each end face has two cams, namely a first cam and a second cam. These two cams each interact with associated abutments, namely a first abutment and a second abutment. The first cam abuts the first abutment and the second cam abuts the second abutment. The second cutlery insert is supported in this position from the end with a first and a second cam on the associated abutments of the support frame, in such a way that the second cutlery insert is arranged in a positionally and positionally secure manner on the support frame.

According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that in the second position of use of the second cutlery insert, second and third cams rest on third and fourth abutments.

In the second position of use, the second cams of the second cutlery insert are still in operative connection with associated abutments, in contrast to the first position of use, however, not with second but with third abutments. Together with the fourth abutments, these third abutments define the second position of use. In contrast to the first position of use, the fourth abutments do not have first cams, but third cams. A change in the cams and abutments in engagement takes place during the transfer from one to the other position of use. A positionally secure arrangement is thus achieved in both positions of use, the transfer from one position to the other being possible by means of a simple movement.

In this context, it is provided that the third and fourth abutments are each formed at the end of a guide curve running transversely to the horizontal. These guide curves advantageously enable the second cutlery insert to slide under the influence of gravity along the guide contours from the first position of use into the second position of use. In the case of a transfer from the second to the first position of use, sliding also takes place along the guide curves or tracks, this taking place as a result of the action of a user. Both when transferring the second cutlery insert from the first to the second position of use and when transferring from the second to the first position of use, the respective cams slide on a guide track given by the guide curves until they engage the associated abutments in the respective end position come. In this way, a conceivably simple, but nevertheless safe transfer of the second cutlery insert is optionally permitted in one or the other use position.

According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the opposite longitudinal sides of the first and second cutlery insert each have extensions arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the respective longitudinal side, the extensions of the first and second cutlery insert being arranged offset to one another.

In order to enable a collision-free transfer of the second cutlery insert from one to the other position of use, the first and the second cutlery insert are arranged spaced apart from one another along their opposite longitudinal sides. This creates a gap between the two cutlery inserts in the longitudinal direction. In order to avoid that small items can fall through this gap, both the first and the second cutlery insert each have extensions. These extensions serve to at least partially bridge the gap formed due to the spaced arrangement of the cutlery inserts. Unintentional dropping of wash ware through the gap is thus reliably avoided. The extensions are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the respective long side. And this is offset in the longitudinal direction to each other so that they interlock with each other. In this way, a kind of toothing is achieved, which advantageously ensures protection against falling through through the gap in every possible position of the second cutlery insert.

The configuration according to the invention enables more flexibility overall through more adjustment options, which allow simple adaptation to the loading of the dishwasher. The asymmetrical functionality of the cutlery drawer is tailored to the loading options in the upper basket. This asymmetrical functionality results from the fact that the second cutlery insert is used only in the height direction and the third cutlery insert can only be moved in the width direction, both cutlery inserts in the possible positions of use being aligned without inclination. The middle part arranged between these two cutlery inserts is non-adjustable, that is to say stationary relative to the supporting frame.

Eliminating the possibility of adjusting the middle part advantageously enables a design-optimized and ergonomic handle design. This is because no adjustment facial expressions and / or any handling for the initiation of an adjustment movement is required with regard to the middle part.

The cam-abutment version of the second cutlery insert is designed so that there is a sliding guide, by means of which the cutlery insert can be lowered in parallel, only one handle being required on the outer edge of the cutlery insert. The slide guides are coordinated so that a user has to use this handle with only one hand in order to be able to transfer the second cutlery insert to one or the other position of use. The positioning of the handle on the very outside on the outer edge of the cutlery insert is advantageously very space-saving and does not impede any cutlery items accommodated by the cutlery insert.

Thanks to the link guides in combination with the handle arrangement, there is no need for complex mechanics including the locking function.

In the case of solutions known from the prior art, which provide an exclusive height adjustment of the middle part, there is the disadvantage that a gap to the neighboring cutlery inserts is created when the middle part is lowered. Unwanted items can fall through this gap. This disadvantage is overcome in the construction according to the invention in that the cutlery parts have extensions on their opposite longitudinal sides, which bridge a gap that may result from an adjustment movement. The projections interlock with one another in a tooth-like manner so that there is no obstruction during a travel movement.

Fig. 1 can be seen in a schematic perspective representation of a crockery basket according to the invention based on the embodiment of a cutlery drawer 1 according to the invention. In the intended use, the cutlery drawer 1 is inserted into the washing area of a dishwasher, not shown in the figures. On the user side, it can be moved in the pull-out direction 8 relative to the washing compartment of the dishwasher, that is to say it can be pulled out of it for the purpose of being equipped or inserted into it.

The cutlery drawer 1 has, in a manner known per se, a support frame 2 and a first cutlery insert 3 arranged on the support frame 2. The cutlery insert 3 is arranged fixed on the support frame 2, which is why it cannot be moved in relation to the support frame 2, neither in the vertical direction 6 nor in the width direction 7.

With reference to the drawing level after Fig. 1 a second cutlery insert 4 is provided to the right of the cutlery insert 3. This factual context results in particular from a synopsis of Figures 1 and 2 , from which it can be seen that the handle 10 is arranged on the right outside on the second cutlery insert 4 and the handle 11 on the left outside on the third cutlery insert 5 with reference to the drawing levels. The handle 10 is connected directly, in particular in one piece, to the cutlery insert 4, so that the use of the handle 10 and the resulting movement of the cutlery insert 4 and handle 10 is particularly intuitive for the user. The same applies to the handle 11 in relation to the cutlery insert 5.

To support the support frame 2, the second cutlery insert 4 has a plurality of cams 22, 23 and 26 on each end. This results in particular from a combination of the Figures 5 to 8 , each according to, for example, the drawing level Fig. 1 Front end 21 of the second cutlery insert 4 can be seen.

The second cutlery insert 4 can now be guided downwards in the height direction 6 by gravity, the second cam 23 sliding along the guide curve 30 and the third cam 26 sliding along the guide curve 32. In this position, the first cam 22 is arranged below the first abutment 24, so that inadvertent lifting of the cutlery insert 4 in the height direction is avoided.

The geometries of the cams 22 and 26 are coordinated with those of the abutments 24 and 29 including the guide contours 30 and 31 in such a way that the outer edge of the cutlery insert 4, ie the handle 10 arranged there, describes a C-shaped, guided movement, as described in FIG Fig. 1 symbolized drawn arrow 12. By dividing the link function between the two cams 22 and 24 with the associated ones and abutments 24 and 29 serving as guide ribs, including the guide contours 30 and 31, can be dispensed with as a slot groove as such, which advantageously reduces the tendency to soiling.

The movement of the edge facing the first cutlery insert 3, ie the inner edge 37 of the second cutlery insert 4 is forcibly coupled to the movement of the outer edge 38 of the second cutlery insert 4. When the handle 10 is actuated by the user, the outer edge 38 moves as it were in the direction of the arrow 12 ( Fig. 1 ) or in accordance with arrow 17 ( Fig. 2 ) and the inner edge 37 in accordance with the arrows 13 and 14 ( Fig. 1 ) or in accordance with arrows 15 and 16 ( Fig. 2 ).

In the starting position, ie according to the first position of use Fig. 1 the cam 23 rests on the second abutment 25 and the receptacle designed in the manner of a pocket 33 and provided by the cutlery insert 4 accommodates the cam 27 provided by the support frame 2. The user can now let go of the handle 10 so that the cutlery insert 4 slides downward in the height direction 6 following the weight. Claims (10)

1. Dish rack, in particular a cutlery drawer (1), for a dishwasher, comprising a supporting frame (2) which is mounted such that it can be pulled out of a washing chamber of the dishwasher and bears two cutlery inserts (3, 4) arranged thereon, the first of the two cutlery inserts (3, 4) preferably being fixed in position in relation to the supporting frame (2), and the second of the two cutlery inserts (3, 4) being movable in relation to the supporting frame (2), it being possible to transfer the second cutlery insert (4) from a first use position into a second use position and vice versa, the second cutlery insert (4) in the first use position being horizontally aligned at a first height (19) in relation to the supporting frame (2) and in the second use position being horizontally aligned at a second height (20) in relation to the supporting frame (2), characterised in that the opposite longitudinal sides (34, 35) of the first and second cutlery insert (3, 4) each bear extensions (36) which are arranged behind one another in the longitudinal direction (8) of the relevant longitudinal side (34, 35), the extensions (36) of the first and second cutlery insert (3, 4) being arranged offset to one another.
