Definitions

  • the invention is based on a conveyor unit according to the species of the main claim.
  • the driver comprises a first driver element made of steel and a second driver element made of plastic coupled to the first driver element, the drive shaft being coupled only to the first driver element and not to the second driver element.

  • the conveyor unit according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the manufacturing costs of the driver are reduced by the driver is made in one piece from plastic and contains glass fibers and the distance H of the first flattening of the drive shaft in the range between zero and 0, 25 times the diameter D of the drive shaft. Since the driver according to the invention made of plastic and not steel, wear on the opening of the carrier must be prevented. In the case of a driver made of plastic, this wear could result from the fact that the first flattened area of the drive shaft increasingly eats into the second flattened area of the opening of the driver as the service life increases. It has been found that the smaller the distance H between the first flat area of the drive shaft and the drive axle, the smaller the wear on the second flat area of the driver.
  • the distance H between the first flattening of the drive shaft and the drive axle is therefore kept as small as possible according to the invention. Tests and calculations have shown that no wear or only a small, permissible wear occurs in the range of the distance H claimed according to the invention and for the envisaged service life. According to the invention, the distance H relates only to a cross section in the area of the first flattening of the drive shaft, which is larger than a cross section of a semicircle with a radius R that corresponds to the radius of the drive shaft.
