Description

The invention relates to a sanitary tub facility with a sanitary tub and a support arrangement for the sanitary tub, the sanitary tub having a tub rim with a C-shaped cross section and a lower edge.

The sanitary tub is preferably a shower tray. Especially in the case of sanitary and, in particular, shower trays made from a layered material, a bottom edging is expedient for reasons of stability. Starting from an approximately horizontal area, the C-shaped tub rim initially transitions with a first radius into a vertical section, with the lower edge then adjoining a second radius. Especially with an enamelled sheet steel, there is then also the advantage that the outer edge of the corresponding sheet metal blank is drawn inwards relative to the outer circumference of the sanitary tub and is thus protected. The risk of damage in the event of an impact is thus reduced.

In the case of shower trays and bathtubs made of steel enamel, a C-shaped bathtub rim with a lower edge corresponds to the usual design. The height of the rim of the tub along the vertical section can be 32 mm, for example. The lower edge has a length of between 5 and 15 mm, for example.

Sanitary tub facilities in which the sanitary tub has the edge geometry described and is supported on a support arrangement are, for example, from DE 10 2009 037 904 B3 and DE 199 61 255 A1 known.

While according to the DE 10 2009 037 904 B3 a pedestal is provided as a support arrangement, according to the DE 199 61 255 A1 a one-piece foamed tub support made of polyurethane foam provided as a support assembly.

While a height adjustment is still possible with a pedestal, a tub support made of plastic must be placed on a level surface. With regard to the DE 199 61 255 A1 there is the disadvantage that the manufacturing process is relatively expensive. In particular, different molds for foaming the sanitary tub must also be kept ready for different tub sizes.

From the U.S. 537,510 a bathtub made of a metallic sheet material is known, which is supported at its edge by a metallic frame. The geometry of the metal frame must be precisely matched to the shape of the tub. The overall result is a high weight and high material costs.

the DE 107 40 445 A1 discloses a tub support which is formed from a plurality of individual elements which are connected to one another, the individual elements being made of a load-bearing foam. The elements must first be joined together to form a tub support before a sanitary tub, in particular a shower tub, is placed on top. The handling of such a tub support and the connection to the sanitary tub are in need of improvement.

the DE 198 49 394 A1 discloses a tub support for bath or shower tubs, with a voluminous molding made of rigid foam provided. The sanitary tub is placed on such a tub support from above.

the U.S. 5,960,489 discloses a support system for a bathtub or shower tray, the bathtub or shower tray being able to be supported on a building wall via a rail on the one hand and on a wall provided as a facing on the other hand. The wall provided as a facing is made up of several layers and materials.

One-piece tub supports made of plastic, in particular hard foam, are also known from practice, on which the sanitary tub is placed during assembly. Here, too, the tub support must be precisely matched to the size and shape of the associated sanitary tub. There is also a comparatively large contact area, which can be disadvantageous with regard to soundproofing.

Against this background, the invention is based on the object of specifying a sanitary tub facility that can be easily made in different sizes and has good functional properties,

The subject matter of the invention and solution to the problem is a sanitary tub facility according to patent claim 1.

According to the invention, the profile strips are made of rigid foam at low cost and are easy to handle. Incorrect positioning of the profile strips can be avoided in a particularly simple manner due to the form-fitting accommodation in the C-shaped tub rim. There is also the advantage that the profile strips are held solely by a form fit, optionally also an additional fixation by means of adhesive or the like is not ruled out. In many cases, however, the form-fitting fixation is sufficient to hold the profile strips securely.

The profile strips can be formed, for example, in a mold made of rigid plastic foam. In order to form profile strips of different lengths, the mold only has to be adjusted accordingly. For example, a long mold can be provided with lateral borders or filling pieces in order to be able to form shorter moldings in it.

Alternatively, an extruded profile can also be produced for the formation of the profiled strips, from which the profiled strips are then cut off in the desired length. Finally, there is also the possibility of cutting the profile strips into the desired cross-sectional shape starting from a prefabricated rectangular profile.

Irrespective of the specific type of production, the profile strips can also be shortened later if required.

On the one hand, the profile strips are inserted into the C-shaped tub rim and held there in a form-fitting manner. On the other hand, the profile strips extend downwards beyond the lower edge of the sanitary tub at the lower edge, in order to be able to carry and support the sanitary tub.

The profile strips can accordingly have an L-shape, with one leg of the L-shape being inserted into the C-shaped tub rim as the upper fastening section and the other leg protruding downwards over the lower edge as a foot section.

In order to ensure a particularly secure and reliable fixing of the profile strips to the C-shaped tub rim, the upper fastening section in the unmounted state according to a preferred embodiment of the invention is oversized compared to a receiving space formed by the C-shaped tub rim. The upper fastening section can then be compressed in such a way that the profile strips can be pushed into the receiving space of the C-shaped tub rim against resistance. Within the scope of such an embodiment, the form fit caused by the complementary cross-sectional shape is also supported by the elastic restoring forces.

The sanitary tub device according to the invention is intended in particular for flat shower trays which are to be installed with a low overall height. The sanitary tub facility can be used, for example, in a modernization or renovation due to its small space requirement. In view of these requirements, the base section of the profile strips preferably has a height of between 3 mm and 15 mm.

Within the context of the invention, there is the advantage that the support on the profile strips results in a small contact area, which leads to improved soundproofing properties. However, in order to achieve sufficient stabilization in the central area of the sanitary tub, a central support can also be provided there. If a tub drain is off-center, such a center support can be formed, for example, by a substantially round support body. In the case of an embodiment of the sanitary tub with a central drain, on the other hand, the central support is to be configured in a U-shape in order to be able to support the area around the drain.

If, according to a preferred embodiment, the profile strips are made of rigid plastic foam, a certain soundproofing effect is already achieved. In order to improve the soundproofing, however, according to a further development of the invention it is provided that the profile strips have inserts made of a soundproofing material on their foot sections, which forms the lower contact surface of the foot sections. For example, strip-shaped or cylindrical buffer elements made of a special soundproofing material can be provided, which, for example, are cast into the profile strips during the manufacturing process or, alternatively, can be inserted into the profile strips later. Suitable materials are known, for example, under the brand name ^Regupol® .

Based on a usually rectangular base area of the sanitary tub, exactly one profile strip can be provided on each side of the sanitary tub. The advantage then arises that only four profile strips have to be mounted on the sanitary tub. Profile strips of different lengths can then be kept ready for different base areas. Alternatively, long profile strips can also be provided, which can be shortened to the desired length.

According to a variant of the invention, starting from a rectangular base area of the sanitary tub, several short profile strips are arranged on each side, so that then only the number of profile strips has to be adjusted for different lengths. The advantage then arises that short profile strips with a uniform length can be used.

According to the invention, the profile strips are initially provided and assembled separately from one another. Based on this, there are different configuration options for the support arrangement.

According to a first development, the support arrangement on the C-shaped tub rim only has the separately manufactured and mounted profile strips. Accordingly, the profile strips are not directly connected to one another even when assembled. Instead, free spaces remain between successive profile strips. This also means that there should be no sealing in the area of the profile strips. Sealing during assembly of the sanitary tub facility can be done, for example, with a sealing tape on the vertical section of the C-shaped tub rim. Correspondingly suitable sealing tapes and sealing elements are made, for example DE 299 05 152 U1 known.

According to a second development, the support arrangement includes additional corner pieces at the corners of the sanitary tub, which are inserted into the C-shaped tub rim. The two legs of such a corner piece can correspond to the profile strips in their cross section. In the case of a rectangular shower tray, 90° corner pieces are also used accordingly. These can be formed in a mold or formed in an upstream work step from blanks of the profile strips, which are mitred. This results in the special feature that the corner pieces are also inserted into the C-shaped tub rim. It follows from this that the corner pieces on the underside of the sanitary tub must first be offset in the direction of the center of the sanitary tub and then pushed outwards into the corner of the sanitary tub.

If, according to a preferred detailed design, the corner pieces border directly or at a small distance from the respective adjoining profile strips, it also becomes clear that the corner pieces must be installed in front of the profile strips, because otherwise there is not enough installation space at the corners of the sanitary tub for lateral insertion .

In particular, the corner pieces can be connected to the respectively adjoining profile strips via connecting elements, for example connecting clips. On the underside of the sanitary tub, a frame is then formed from individual corner pieces and profile strips in a particularly advantageous manner, which is then held in a form-fitting manner as the entire frame and can no longer be separated from the sanitary tub without disassembling the frame. This significantly reduces the risk of incorrect installation. In particular, there is no risk of the profile strips being accidentally removed or even discarded.

This also has the advantage that the same corner pieces can be kept ready for different sizes of the sanitary tub and only the profile strips have to be selected in the appropriate length or their length must be adjusted.

Regardless of whether the profile strips are separated by a distance when installed or form a frame with additional corner pieces, the installation height is determined by the height of the profile strips. In contrast to a pedestal, a stepless readjustment of the height is usually not provided.

However, in order to be able to vary the mounting height at least in stages, separate plates or base strips can be provided, on which the profile strips are then placed. If, for example, the installation height is to be increased by a certain value, substructure strips with a corresponding height can be provided. It is also possible for the profile strips and the substructure strips to have a tongue and groove connection for height adjustment.

The optionally provided corner pieces and base strips are also expediently made of rigid plastic foam.

Preference is given to foams based on polystyrene, such as expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS).

The height of the profile strips is preferably between 20 mm and 50 mm, while a range between 30 mm and 70 mm is expedient for the width.

The profile strips can optionally be pre-assembled or assembled only during the installation of the sanitary tub facility, pre-assembly at the factory being preferred.

The sanitary tub device comprises, on the one hand, a sanitary tub 1 in the form of a shower tray and a support arrangement made up of profile strips 2 which are separate from one another and which support and carry the sanitary tub 1 in the assembled state.

Further details of the sanitary tub device according to the invention result from the 2 . Accordingly, the sanitary tub 1 has a tub rim 3 with a C-shaped cross section. Starting from an approximately horizontal mirror section 4, a vertical section 5 follows over a first radius. The vertical section 5 then merges into a second radius into a lower edge 6 . In the illustrated embodiment, this sanitary tub 1 is made of steel enamel. The C-shaped configuration of the tub edge 3 results in the advantage that the edge of the sheet metal blank is drawn inwards by the lower edge 6 and is thus optimal is protected. The C-shaped structure of the tub rim 3 is also advantageous for reasons of stability.

The already in the 1 profile strips 2 shown are according to the 2 used in the C-shaped tub rim 6 and held there in a form-fitting manner.

For this purpose, the profile strips have an L-shape in the broadest sense. The profile strips 2 made of rigid plastic foam each comprise an upper fastening section 7, which is inserted into the C-shaped tub rim, and a foot section 8 protruding downwards over the lower edge 6.

Expediently, the upper fastening section 7 is oversized in the unassembled state compared to a receiving space formed by the C-shaped tub rim 3 . When the profile strip 2 is inserted into the C-shaped tub rim 3, the upper fastening section 7 is also elastically compressed to a certain extent, so that the resulting form fit is additionally supported by elastic restoring forces.

From the 1 it can be seen that a central support 9 can also be provided as part of the support arrangement.

the 3 and 4 relate to a further development of the invention, in which additional elements made of a sound-insulating material 10 are provided based on an otherwise identical configuration. Corresponding elements of a sound-insulating material 10 can, for example, be integrated directly during production of the profile strip 2 or the center support 9 . The sound-insulating material 10 then forms the only contact surfaces, resulting in optimal sound decoupling.

the figure 5 shows a further embodiment of the sanitary tub facility, additional corner pieces 11 being provided at the corners of the sanitary tub 1, which are used in a form-fitting manner on the C-shaped tub rim 3. The corner pieces 11 each comprise two legs arranged at right angles to one another, the cross-sectional shape of the legs coinciding with the cross-sectional shape of the profile strips 2 .

In the installed state, each profile strip assigned to one longitudinal side of the sanitary tub 1 borders on a corner piece 11 at both of its ends.

The corner pieces 11 and the profile strips 2 are preferably matched to one another in such a way that a closed or essentially closed frame results in the assembled state. Since both the profile strips 2 and the corner pieces 11 are used in the C-shaped tub rim 3 with the lower edge 6, a predetermined sequence must be observed during assembly. Accordingly, the corner pieces 11 must first be inserted, in which case they are then additionally fixed in their position by mounting the profile strips 2 . If, according to a preferred embodiment, the profile strips 2 reach up to the corner pieces in the assembled state, the corner pieces 11 can no longer be moved inwards and removed.

The corner pieces 11 and the profile strips 2 can be connected, for example, by suitable connecting elements 12, in particular connecting clamps, so that the support structure formed in this way is secured against loss under all circumstances.

The configuration according to 1 and figure 5 show that the support arrangement on the C-shaped tub edge 3 can either only have profile strips 2 or can have a frame composed of various elements.

Regardless of these design variants shows the figure 5 also a possibility to adjust the height of the support arrangement. In order to optionally provide an alternative installation height, base strips 13 are provided, which are to be arranged under the profile strips 2 . The base strips 13 can already be provided in the desired length or alternatively can be cut to size. With regard to the substructure strips 13, it is also optionally possible to form a frame that is closed around the circumference. Corner pieces that are not shown in detail can also be provided for the substructure strips 13 .

If substructure strips 13 are present, a corresponding substructure 14 for the central support 9 must of course also be provided.

Claims (11)

1. A sanitary-tray device having a sanitary tray (1) and a support arrangement for the sanitary tray (1), the sanitary tray (1) in the use position having a tray rim (3) which is C-shaped in cross section and has a lower bent section (6), the support arrangement comprising multiple profiled strips (2), which are inserted into the C-shaped tray rim (3) and held there interlockingly, characterized in that the profiled strips (2) are formed from plastic rigid foam.
2. The sanitary-tray device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the profiled strips (2) are each inserted into the C-shaped tray rim (3) by an upper fastening section (7) and protrude downwards beyond the lower bent section (6) by a base section (8).
3. The sanitary-tray device according to Claim 2, characterized in that in the unmounted state, the upper fastening section (7) is oversized in comparison with an accommodating space formed by the C-shaped tray rim (3) and can be compressed in order to be inserted into the accommodating space.
4. The sanitary-tray device according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the base section (8) has a height of between 3 mm and 15 mm.
5. The sanitary-tray device according to one of Claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the profiled strips (2) have inserts made from a sound-insulating material (10) on their base sections (8), which inserts form the lower bearing surface of the base sections.
6. The sanitary-tray device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the support arrangement comprises a central support (9) arranged below a central section of the sanitary tray.
7. The sanitary-tray device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the sanitary tray (1) is formed from steel enamel.
8. The sanitary-tray device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the sanitary tray (1) has a rectangular base area, wherein exactly one profiled strip (2) is provided on each side of the sanitary tray (1).
9. The sanitary-tray device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that corner pieces (11) are inserted into the C-shaped tray rim (3) at corners of the sanitary tray (1).
10. The sanitary-tray device according to Claim 9, characterized in that the corner pieces (11) are connected to the respectively adjacent profiled strips (2) via connecting elements (12).
11. The sanitary-tray device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the support arrangement comprises substructure strips (13) for height adjustment, which can be arranged under the profiled strips (2).
