Bei Erkennung einer Gefahr durch einen Schienenfahrzeugführer und Einleitung einer Gefahren-/Notbremsung werden parallel mit den Magnetschienenbremsen auch die Schienenräumer-Kolben entlang der Frontschürze aktiviert, wobei der Kolben mit ähnlich hoher Geschwindigkeit wie die Magnetschienenbremsen die Schienen erreichen und z.B. lotrecht nach unten bis zur Berührung der Schienenoberkante ausgefahren werden. Die Schienenräumer-Kolben 31n können nach einer weiteren Variante der Erfindung auch als schräg nach vorne oder nach hinten ausfahrbare Kolben ausgeführt sein und durch Führungsrohre gestützt werden. Die Hublänge der übrigen Kolben wird vorzugsweise durch die Hublänge der Kolben direkt vor dem ersten Radsatz vorgegeben, wobei in einer weiteren Ausführungsvariante die Hublänge dieser übrigen Kolben an die vertikale Streckengeometrie (Kuppe, Wanne) mittels Abstandsmesssensoren oder über GPS Erkennung angepasst werden kann. Während des kritischen Zeitpunkts besteht somit keine Möglichkeit mehr, dass Personen unter die Vorbaukontur (Frontschürze 9) des Schienenfahrzeuges gelangen können, da dir Kontur entlang der Frontschürze bis vor den führenden ersten Radsatz abgedeckt wird. Nach dem das Fahrzeug zum Stillstand kommt und die Magnetschienenbremsen wieder lösen, werden auch gleichzeitig die Kolben wieder eingezogen. Das Aus- und wieder Einfahren der Kolben kann durch verschiedene Mittel erreicht werden wie z. B. elektrisch (Solenoid; e-Motor; Stellmotor) oder mechanisch (hydraulisch, pneumatisch).The
