Die Hublänge der übrigen Kolben wird vorzugsweise durch die Hublänge der Kolben direkt vor dem ersten Radsatz vorgegeben, wobei in einer weiteren Ausführungsvariante die Hublänge dieser übrigen Kolben an die vertikale Streckengeometrie (Kuppe, Wanne) mittels Abstandsmesssensoren oder über GPS Erkennung angepasst werden kann.
