Description
- The present invention relates to demountable (90° orthogonal transportation frame) apparatus providing carrying of float glasses with size 6000x3210 mm in a safe manner.
- There are demounted glass apparatus (frames) which provide carrying of float glasses by means of putting the float glasses into containers. Glasses are transported by means of these apparatus. No apparatus is known for the transportation of glasses with size 6000x3210 mm without container (in a bare manner) particularly in ship holds.
- In transportation with ships, the products to be transported shall be put into container and the products shall be fixed to the container for preventing overturning risk. However, the sizes of the containers are not available for carrying of float glass plates with sizes 6000x3210 mm (Jumbo size). Thus, the sizes of float glasses to be transported inside the container are limited by maximum 5100x3210 mm. But, float glass plates are produced in size of 6000x3210 mm in a standard manner. Losses occur during usage and production for the glasses with size 5100x3210 mm.
- At the same time, the frames, used in the present art, are embodied with form having an angle of 5 degrees. However, due to the angled embodiment, the frame occupies much space during placement. Due to this, the amount of glass which is to be fit to a limited space decreases.
-
DE 195 17 925 discloses a storage and transport frame for packets of sheet glass. According to said DE invention; upright glass sheets are clamped between L-sections locked together. The two independent rings enclosing each packet are each in two L-sections, and incorporate a bottom supporting portion and a vertical profiled portion. The frame incorporates two or more rings of different sizes, to accommodate sheets of different sizes. The vertical members have fixing devices all at the same height, to secure adjacent packets to each other. The rings for the longer packets can be duplex ones, made in two parts joined by cross-struts. As a result, because of all of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field. - The present invention relates to a glass transportation frame providing carrying of big-sized glasses, for eliminating the above mentioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field.
- The main object of the present invention is to provide a glass transportation frame providing carrying of glass without limitation of size of glass.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a glass transportation frame providing carrying of glasses in an orthogonal manner.
- In order to realize all of the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention is a transportation frame comprising at least one frame foot comprising a front orthogonal profile, a rear orthogonal profile positioned in a parallel manner to said front orthogonal profile and a glass seating base connected to said rear orthogonal profile. Accordingly, said improvement comprises at least one joining profile extending between the front orthogonal profiles and rear orthogonal profiles in a manner wrapping around the package glasses, in case pluralities of frame feet are positioned side by side in the same alignment; at least one profile housing embodied on the front orthogonal profile and the rear orthogonal profile such that said joining profile can pass therethrough; at least one glass separator tab placed thereon in a manner grabbing the packet glasses; a locking plate interconnecting the end sections of the front orthogonal profile and the rear orthogonal profile; a lateral press arm placed to the profile housing from one end and connected at the other end to a lateral press plate which is positioned at the lateral surface side of the package glasses and has a connection opening in which a protrusion embodied at the other end of the lateral press arm is placed in order to prevent sliding of the package glasses. Thus, by using pluralities of frame feet, desired sized glasses can be carried without the need for container.

Thus, pluralities of package glasses can be simultaneously carried.
- In another preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, there are at least two gaps embodied on said joining plate and where one of the gaps receives the end of the rear orthogonal profile of the frame foot where a group of package glass is placed and where the other one of the gaps receives the end of the front orthogonal profile of the frame foot carrying another package glass. Thus, the frame feet, placed back to back, are connected to each other and they can support fixation of each other.
- In another preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, there are at least two lock openings embodied on the locking plate. Thus, the connection of the front orthogonal profile and the rear orthogonal profile to each other and the fixation of the frame foot are supported. In another preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, there is at least one pin opening embodied on the glass seating base and connecting the front orthogonal profile and the rear orthogonal profile to each other from below, and a foot orthogonal pin placed to said each pin opening.
- In another preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, there is at least one frame fixation pin placed to the fixation opening positioned on the front orthogonal profile.
- In another preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, there is a connection element whereon at least one opening is embodied and providing connection of the front orthogonal profile and the rear orthogonal profile by means of passing the foot orthogonal pin therethrough.
- In another preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, there is a glass stopping surface provided on the surfaces of the front orthogonal profile and the rear orthogonal profile facing the package glass.

- In this detailed description, the subject matter transportation frame (10) is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.
With reference toFigure 1 , the subject matter transportation frame (10), whereon at least one package glass (11) is placed, comprises at least one and preferably pluralities of frame feet (20) positioned side by side in the same axis. Said frame foot (20) comprises at least one front orthogonal profile (21) positioned side by side and having an adjustable gap in between; at least one rear orthogonal profile (22) positioned in a manner corresponding to said front orthogonal profile (21) and having an adjustable gap in between; at least one locking plate (25) joining said front orthogonal profile (21) and said rear orthogonal profile (22) from the upper section; a joining profile (30) extending between the front orthogonal profiles (21) and the rear orthogonal profiles (22) in a manner wrapping around the packaged package glass (11). - On the front orthogonal profile (21), there are at least one, preferably two frame fixation pins (211), and a fixation opening (212) wherein said frame fixation pin (211) is placed. On the front orthogonal profile (21), there is a profile housing (70) embodied thereon such that the joining profile (30) passes therethrough. At the bottom section of the front orthogonal profile (21), a connection element (213) is connected whereon an opening (214) is embodied and extending outwardly. The bending of the front orthogonal profile (21) is prevented by means of passing the frame fixation pin (211), provided on the front orthogonal profile (21), through the fixation openings (212) and by means of tightening thereof with nut, and thus, the fixation of the package glasses (11) is supported.
- There is a glass stopping surface (80) coated with rubber on the surface of the rear orthogonal profile (22) and the front orthogonal profile (21) facing the glass. At the lower section of the rear orthogonal profile (22), there is a glass seating base (221) preferably embodied in a one-piece manner and connected to the rear orthogonal profile (22) at a specific angle. The upper side of the glass seating base (221) is preferably coated with rubber. Thus, the contact of the glasses to the metal surface is prevented and the deformation thereof is prevented. On the rear orthogonal profile (22), profile housing (70) is embodied through which the joining profile (30) passes.
- The front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22) have similar geometries, and one surface thereof is in open channel form. While being positioned, it is positioned such that the glass stopping surfaces (80) face the glass and the channel section faces outwardly. There is at least one foot orthogonal pin (223) providing connection of the rear orthogonal profile (22) through the glass seating base (221) and the front orthogonal profile (21). The glass seating base (221) is embodied in a hollow profile form, and there are pin openings (222) thereon. The connection element (213) of the front orthogonal profile (21) is placed to the gap provided on the glass seating base (221). The opening (214), embodied on said connection element (213), and the pin openings (222) are positioned in an overlapping manner, and foot orthogonal pin (223) passes between them. Thus, the rear orthogonal profile (22) and the front orthogonal profile (21) are connected to each other through the lower sections thereof.
- A separator tab (24) is provided on the package glasses (11) placed between the front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22). At least one locking plate (25) is positioned which is placed to the upper ends of the front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22) thanks to at least one lock opening (251) positioned at the upper sections of the separator tab (24) and embodied thereon. There is at least one lateral press arm (40) extending at the continuation of the joining profile (30), and there is a protrusion (41) embodied at the idle end of said lateral press arm (40). There is at least one lateral press plate (50) connected to the lateral press arm (40) essentially in a manner forming orthogonal angle. A connection opening (51), wherein said protrusion (41) is placed, is embodied at the end section of said lateral press plate (50). After the protrusion (41) is placed to the connection opening (51), it is assembled with the help of nut, and the sliding of the package glasses (11) from the frame feet (20) is prevented.
- In practice, preferably 4 rear orthogonal profiles (22) are arranged side by side on the same plane and preferably with distances of 1500 mm, and big-sized package glasses (11) are placed thereon by means of vehicles. It is preferably used for glasses with size 6000x3210 mm. After the glasses, which are in package glass (11) form, are placed on the rear orthogonal profile (22), foot orthogonal pin (223) is passed through the opening (214) and the pin opening (222) in order to prevent falling of the package glasses (11), and the front orthogonal profile (21) is placed in front of the package glasses (11).
- In order to separate each package glass (11) from the other one and in order to discharge package glasses (11) from the transportation frame (10) in a separate manner, at least one separator tab (24) is placed on each package glass (11) in a manner grabbing the package glasses (11). In the preferred application, a separator tab (24) is used for each frame foot (20). At the same time, by means of the locking plate (25) positioned at the upper section of the glass separator tab (24) and extending between the upper end of the front orthogonal profile (21) and the upper end of the rear orthogonal profile (22), the fixation of the package glasses (11) from above is supported. The front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22) become integrated by means of the locking plate (25) from above and by means of passing the foot orthogonal pin (223) through the opening (214) and the pin opening (222) from below, and the frame foot (20) is formed. In case pluralities of package glasses (11) are placed to the transportation frame (10), a joining plate (23) engages to the end sections of the front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22) positioned back to back. At least two gaps are embodied on the joining plate (23), and said gaps (231) are placed to the end sections of the front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22). Thus, the interconnection of the frame feet (20) positioned back to back is provided.
- By means of this, said connection manner is repeated, and pluralities of package glass (11) groups can be formed. Each new group formed is brought into a whole by means of fixation to the foot orthogonal pin (223) and to the joining plate (23) at the top. A middle joining plate (60) is used for providing connection of the transportation frame (10) to the crane by means of an apparatus from the top. At the same time, the middle joining plate (60) is used in joining the 2nd and 3rd packet glasses (11).
- The interconnection of the frame feet (20) placed on the same plane is provided by means of the joining profile (30) passed through the profile housings (70) embodied on the front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22). Thus, the overturning-sliding of the frame feet (20) towards each other is prevented and a whole group is formed.
- The horizontal sliding of the package glasses (11) from the frame feet (20) is prevented by means of placement of the lateral press arm (40) protrusion (41), provided at the continuation of the joining profile (30), into the connection opening (51) provided at the lateral press plate (50) positioned at the transverse lateral surfaces of the package glasses (11). As a result of the interconnection of the joining profile (30), the lateral press plate (50) and the lateral press arm (40); the package glasses (11) are completely encircled and the sliding thereof is prevented.
- The glass separator tab (24) can be made of metal or polymer based material, preferably made of polyamide. The glass separator tab (24) is preferably in "L" form, and each package is placed onto the glass (11) set. Moreover, the glass stop surfaces (80) and the surfaces of the glass seating base (221), the lateral press arm (40), the lateral press plate (50) and preferably the separator tab (24) contacting the package glasses (11) are coated with rubber. Thanks to the usage of the subject matter transportation frame (10), the package glasses (11) can be placed in a parallel manner to each other and in an orthogonal manner to the floor. Thus, the package glasses (11) occupy less space in the location where they are positioned during transportation. At the same time, thanks to the repetitive coupling of the front orthogonal profile (21) and the rear orthogonal profile (22), the frame foot (20) set can be added one after the other, and transportation of pluralities of package glasses (11) can be provided.
The items, forming the abovementioned transportation frame (10), are embodied in a demounted manner from each other. By means of this, by positioning the desired number of frame feet (20) side by side, the transportability of the desired length/size of glass becomes possible. In the present art, the glass plate sizes were limited by the size of the container wherein said glass plate was placed. By means of this developed product, the problem that the glass plate size is delimited in the present art is eliminated. Moreover, since the transportation frame (10) has a demounted form, it can be removed during usage and it does not occupy space.
