Definitions
- the invention relates to a resonator finely tuned by racking and more particularly to a resonator whose frequency can be adjusted with a smaller variation for the same movement of the racket.
- the adjustment of the frequency of a balance-spring resonator can be made by modifying the inertia of the balance or the elastic torque of the spiral.
- a racking generally comprises two stops intended to form the counting point, that is to say, to define the length of the spiral blade, called the active length, which will work in contraction and expansion to provide the elastic torque of the resonator.
- the object of the present invention is to overcome all or part of the drawbacks mentioned above by proposing a resonator with a frequency adjustment system allowing a finer adjustment of the frequency by means of a racking facilitating the final adjustment work. to manufacture and adjustment in after-sales.
- the invention relates to a resonator of the inertia-elasticity type comprising a hairspring coupled to a flywheel and a frequency adjusting system of the resonator comprising a trimming comprising two stops arranged to cooperate with a turn of the hairspring for selectively selecting the active length of the hairspring, characterized in that the portion of the hairspring of the hairspring co-operating with the hairstrip has at least one larger sectional area than the other coils of the hairspring in order to obtain a smaller impact of the hairspring on the frequency of the resonator only on the non-thickened section of the rest of the spiral.
- an extra thickness of material on the coil spiral which cooperates with the racking is sufficient to make the setting of the resonator step finer.
- an area of larger section provides a suitable stiffening, in cooperation with a raquetterie, to reduce the influence of this area on the elastic torque of the spiral with respect to the influence on the rest of the not thickened spiral.
- the displacement of the racking along the thickened section will have a lesser impact on the frequency of the resonator than on the non-thickened section of the remainder of the hairspring, which advantageously makes it possible to obtain the same variation of step with a larger displacement of the raqueterie.
- the invention relates to a timepiece comprising a bridge and a plate characterized in that it further comprises a resonator according to one of the preceding variants, the racking being mounted on the bridge and the resonator being pivoted, using a shaft, between the bridge and the plate.
- a resonator comprising a spiral comprising a zone of greater section than the other spiral turns is known from the document EP-A-1473604 .
- Adjustment by a racking is very sensitive, that is to say that a small displacement of the stops generates a large frequency variation, and requires the development of micrometer screw systems to make more precise adjustment.
- a variation of one second per day is generally obtained for a displacement of about 2 to 3 micrometers of the stops of the raqueterie along the outer turn which corresponds to a racket rotation of about 0 , 05 °.
- the present invention proposes to restore interest to a setting by racking by proposing an adjustment of one second a day to the resonator for a larger displacement of the racket, for example, between 10 and 50 micrometers, along the part of the spiral turn co-operating with the raquet.
- the invention relates to a resonator of the inertia-elasticity type comprising a hairspring coupled to a flywheel such as, for example, a balance-spring resonator.
- a hairspring 1 as partially visible at the figure 1 , comprises a shell 3 forming an opening 5 for receiving a balance shaft.
- the shell 3 is shaped with a blade 7 wound on itself in several turns. In the example of the figure 1 it can be seen that the blade 7 has a thickness E, a height H and a length L.
- the resonator comprises a frequency adjustment system comprising a rack arrangement arranged to cooperate with a coil spiral to selectively select the active length of the spiral.
- the turn is preferably the outer turn of the spiral for obvious reasons of accessibility.
- the penultmen turn that is to say the turn preceding the outer turn.
- the portion of the spiral winding cooperating with the racking comprises at least one zone of larger section than the other spiral turns in order to more finely adjust the frequency of the resonator. Therefore, as explained above, each section area larger than the other spiral turns may have a thickness variation E and / or a height variation H to change its section.
- an area of larger section provides a suitable stiffening, in cooperation with a raquetterie, to reduce the influence of this area on the elastic torque of the spiral with respect to the influence on the rest of the not thickened spiral. It is therefore understood that the displacement of the racking along the thickened section will have a smaller impact on the frequency of the resonator than on the non-thickened section of the remainder of the hairspring, which advantageously makes it possible to obtain the same frequency variation with a larger displacement of the raqueterie.
- FIG. 2 A first embodiment of the invention is illustrated in figures 2 and 3 .
- a resonator 11 of the inertia-elasticity type comprising a hairspring 21 coupled to a flywheel 13 on a shaft 15.
- the resonator 11 is thus pivotally mounted between a bridge 14 and a plate 16 via, for example, bearings 12.
- the hairspring 21 is thus mounted between the shaft 15 by its ferrule 23 and the bridge 14 by the pin 29 attached to the end of its outer coil 26 .
- the rack 31 is also mounted on the bridge 14 and has two stops 33, 35.
- the rack 31 is arranged to cooperate, preferably, with a portion 24 of the outer turn 26 of the hairspring 21 which has at least one larger sectional area. than the other spiral turns in order to adjust more finely the frequency of the resonator 11.
- a thickened part on the penultred turn that is to say the turn preceding the outer turn 26.
- the stops 33, 35 are formed by a key 34 mounted on the racket 32.
- the key 34 can be replaced by two pins to form the stops 33, 35.
- the thickening section is achieved only by an increase in thickness of the zone 24 as illustrated in FIGS. figures 2 and 3 .
- the hairspring 21 comprises the majority of its blade 27 with a thickness E 1 of between 20 and 50 micrometers and a zone 24 on its outer turn 26 with a thickness E 2 greater than the thickness E 1 .
- the extra thickness E 2 of the zone 24 is between 50% and 200% relative to that E 1 of the remainder of the spiral, c that is to say between 1.5 and 3 times the thickness E 1 .
- the thickness E 2 is twice as large as that of the rest of the hairspring 21.
- such a hairspring 21 can be obtained for additive or destructive manufacturing methods.
- additive or destructive manufacturing mention may be made of the LIGA processes, the three-dimensional prints, the methods combining a photolithography of a mask and a dry or wet etching according to the patterns of said mask, the methods combining an alloy casting and a wire rolling according to at least two consecutive consecutive sections or laser engraving.
- the hairspring can be made from many materials.
- the hairspring can thus be manufactured based on silicon, ceramic or metal.
- the hairspring is based on silicon, it may comprise, for example, monocrystalline silicon, doped monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, doped polycrystalline silicon, porous silicon, silicon oxide, quartz, silica, silicon nitride or silicon carbide.
- the spiral when it is based on ceramic, it may comprise, for example, photostructurable glass, borosilicate, aluminosilicate, quartz glass, zerodur, monocrystalline corundum, polycrystalline corundum, alumina, aluminum oxide, aluminum nitride, monocrystalline ruby, polycrystalline ruby, zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, titanium nitride, titanium carbide, nitride tungsten, tungsten carbide, boron nitride or boron carbide.
- photostructurable glass borosilicate, aluminosilicate, quartz glass, zerodur, monocrystalline corundum, polycrystalline corundum, alumina, aluminum oxide, aluminum nitride, monocrystalline ruby, polycrystalline ruby, zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, titanium nitride, titanium carbide, nitride tungsten, tungsten carbide, boron nitride or boron carbide.
- the hairspring when it is metal-based, it may comprise, for example, an alloy of iron such as 15P steel, 20AP, 316L or NIVAROX CT, a copper alloy such as brass, a nickel alloy such as nickel-silver or NIVAFLEX, titanium or one of its alloys, gold or one of its alloys, silver or one of its alloys, platinum or one of its alloys, ruthenium or one of its alloys, rhodium or one of its alloys or palladium or one of its alloys.
- an alloy of iron such as 15P steel, 20AP, 316L or NIVAROX CT
- a copper alloy such as brass
- a nickel alloy such as nickel-silver or NIVAFLEX
- titanium or one of its alloys gold or one of its alloys, silver or one of its alloys, platinum or one of its alloys, ruthenium or one of its alloys, rhodium or one of its alloys or palladium or one of its alloys.
- the thickness E 2 and the racket 31 are arranged to propose an adjustment of one second per day to the resonator 11 for a displacement of the racking 31 of between 10 and 50 microns, as, for example , 20 micrometers, along the thickened zone 24 of the outer turn 26 of the spiral 21.
- the two stops 33, 35 of the racket 31 are selectively positioned on either side of the thickness E 2 of the zone 24 of the spiral 21 and are movable in the same direction A as the length of the zone 24 of the outer turn 26.
- the direction A forms a circular arc of center C of the circle inscribed at the opening 25 of the shell 23 of the spiral 21.
- This configuration is obtained because, in the example of figures 2 and 3 the two stops 33, 35 are displaceable in rotation with respect to an axis coinciding with that of the shaft 15.
- the circle inscribed at the opening 25 of the shell 23 of the spiral 21 visible to the figure 3 represents the outer section of the shaft 15 at its contact with the ferrule 23.
- the part of the spiral winding 41 cooperating with the raquetry 31 is also the outer turn 46, and comprises at least two zones 42, 44, 48 of different sections and larger than the other spiral turns 41 in order to adjust more finely in at least two different ratios, the frequency of the resonator.
- the three thicknesses E 3 , E 4 , E 5 and the racket 31 are arranged to provide three one-second adjustments per day to the resonator for a displacement of the rack 31 between 10 and 50 micrometers, such as, for example, respectively 10, 20 and 10 microns, respectively along the thickened areas E 5 , E 4 and E 3 of the outer turn 46 of the hairspring 41.
- the thicknesses E 5 , E 4 and E 3 are respectively 50%, 100% and 50% greater than that E 1 of the remainder of the spiral 41.
- a timepiece comprising the resonator according to the invention can be developed with the possibility of choosing a finer setting, or even universal, which makes more attractive the use of a setting by racking for the final work of adjustment to the manufacture and the adjustment in after-sales.
- the variation in thickness between the zones E 5 , E 4 , E 3 , E 2 and E 1 could be more progressive between said zones in order to offer a continuously variable adjustment to the resonator for a displacement of the racking 31 between the thickness zones E 5 , E 4 , E 3 , E 2 and E 1 .
- the present invention is not limited to the illustrated example but is susceptible of various variations and modifications that will occur to those skilled in the art.
- the arrangement of the zones 24, 42, 44, 48 and the raquetry 31 can be modified for example for questions of ease of implantation.
- the axis C 1 of rotation of the racket may no longer be confused with the center C of the circle inscribed at the opening of the shell of the spiral.
- the arrangement will be adapted so that the two stops 33 1 , 35 1 of the racking are selectively positioned on either side of the thickness of the zone 24 1 of the hairspring and are movable in the same direction A 1 that the length of the zone 24 1 of the outer turn 26 1 .
- the axis C 2 of rotation of the raquetry can even be substantially in the center of the zone 24 2 thickened outer turn 26 2 .
- the arrangement will be adapted so that the two stops 33 2 , 35 2 of the racking are selectively positioned on either side of the thickness of the zone 24 2 of the hairspring and are movable in the same direction A 2 that the length of the zone 24 2 of the outer turn 26 2 .
- the two stops 33 3 , 35 3 of the racket can even be movable in translation relative to a straight line.
- the arrangement will be adapted so that the two stops 33 3 , 35 3 of the racket are selectively positioned on either side of the thickness of the zone 24 3 of the hairspring and are movable in the same direction A 3 that the length of the zone 24 3 of the outer turn 26 3 .
- the translational line passes through the center C of the circle inscribed at the opening of the spiral shell, the adjustment of the step by the racking does not change the angle formed between the output of the spiral to the ferrule and the counting point. We understand that this would bring a time advantage.

Description
- la partie de la spire du spiral coopérant avec la raquetterie comporte au moins deux zones de sections différentes et plus grandes que les autres spires du spiral afin de régler plus finement, selon au moins deux rapports distincts, la fréquence du résonateur ;
- ladite au moins une zone comporte une section comprise entre 1,5 et 5 fois plus grande que les autres spires du spiral ;
- les deux butées sont sélectivement positionnées de part et d'autre de l'épaisseur du spiral et déplaçables selon la même direction que la partie de la spire du spiral coopérant avec la raquetterie ;
- selon une alternative, les deux butées sont déplaçables à rotation par rapport à un axe ;
- l'axe de rotation des butées est centré sur le centre du cercle inscrit à l'ouverture d'une virole du spiral ;
- selon une autre alternative, les deux butées sont déplaçables à translation par rapport à une droite ;
- la droite de translation des butées passe par le centre du cercle inscrit à l'ouverture d'une virole du spiral ;
- les deux butées sont formées par une clé de raquetterie ou par deux goupilles de raquetterie ;
