Description

The invention relates to a paint box with a container part which has a base and holding means arranged on the base for the detachable attachment of several individual paint containers, and a cover part which is designed as a paint palette for painting with a number of paint mixing troughs.

US 2014/0284225 A1 ,A generic color fountain is disclosed in the document, for example U.S. 2014/0284225 A1 ,

Paint palettes are used when painting to hold and mix colors. They usually consist of a flat plate with a gripping hole to make it easier to hold by hand. Paint palettes designed for painting with water-soluble paints may have wells or indentations for mixing or diluting paint with water. The colors used for painting are usually taken in small, respectively required quantities from paint containers arranged separately from the painting palette and applied to the painting palette; water-soluble colors are applied in dissolved form with a brush into the cavities and mixed with other colors to create intermediate color tones. The repeatedly required transfer of paint from the paint containers to the painting palette is cumbersome and can easily lead to contamination of the painting site.

For painting with watercolors in schools and kindergartens, paint boxes are primarily used which have a lid part designed as a painting palette with paint mixing troughs, such as, for example DE 94 14 281 U1 shows. The cover part can be opened and is usually used to close a box-shaped container part in which several paint containers are arranged in two rows along the long side are containing colored tablets of different colors. The paint canisters are attached to the canister bottom by releasable retaining means. There is usually a free space between the two rows of paint containers for inserting one or more brushes. Furthermore, a space for a tube of opaque white is often left free at one end of the rows of paint containers. The color mixing depressions on the inside of the cover part are usually designed as bowl-, cup- or box-shaped depressions and are separated from one another by inwardly raised areas or walls of the cover part. The color mixing troughs are used to produce color shades by mixing different basic colors or to prepare colors with a lower color density by adding water. Usually, a paint tablet is used with a brush previously dipped in water and the dissolved liquid paint is brought to a paint mixing trough in the cover part with the brush. In the case of these frequently repeated processes, it is easy for paint to drip off, as a result of which the lower part of the paint fountain and neighboring colors are soiled with splashes and blobs of paint. Therefore, after painting, not only the inside of the lid part but also the container part and several paint containers have to be cleaned.

Out of DE 76 33 442 U1 a paint box is known, which consists of a central part and two lids. The central part is in the form of a hollow parallelepiped open at one end, which is divided by walls into compartments for forming a water container and for accommodating brushes. The two lids are designed as hollow lids and are connected to the middle section by hinges. In one embodiment of the paint box, paint cups are arranged in both covers and paint mixing surfaces are formed adjacent to them by means of molded ribs. Both lids are congruent and can therefore be manufactured in one tool.

Out of DE 10 2010 013 460 A1 an ink fountain with interchangeable ink trays is known which can be releasably fastened to receptacles assigned to them and arranged on the bottom of the ink fountain. Each recording has one peripheral receiving wall and a receiving floor, which is formed by the respective box floor. The peripheral receiving wall is designed as a hollow cylinder and is adapted to the cylindrical lateral surface of the paint container of the paint bowl. In the fastened state of the paint bowl in the receptacle, the receptacle wall surrounds the outer surface of the paint container up to a certain height, with the exception of an interruption in the circumferential wall. A guide part of the paint tray engages in the interruption in the circumferential wall and prevents rotation of the paint tray in its fastened state. The ink fountain comprises a bottom box, a top box and a cover part, which are arranged one above the other in the vertical direction in the named sequence. For painting, the upper and lower boxes can be separated from each other, for example to put all the available paint bowls in the paint box next to each other and use them at the same time. The upper and lower boxes are thus filled with paint bowls when painting, so that the recordings of the paint bowls are not accessible for other uses.

On off EP 2 481 611 A1 known ink fountain comprises a receiving plate and a cover for receiving an ink tray set, both of which have approximately semicircular projections on their outer edge, which are complementary to the outer contour of a circular ring formed from a total of six ink trays. Each projection of the receiving plate is associated with a circular disc-shaped recess, which can be used for mixing paint after removing the paint shells. The paint trays lie loosely on the mounting plate and are not held in this position by retaining means formed on the mounting plate, but only by the cover when this is placed on the mounting plate and fastened to the mounting plate by locking means.

Out of DE 1 008 623 A a paint box with interchangeable paint cups that can be clamped between two rigid guides is known, which consists of a bottom part of the box and a lid connected to it by hinges. The bottom of Bottom has indentations with converging side walls between which are circular button lugs that can be clamped. The lid has recessed areas typically intended for mixing paint.

The object of the invention is to provide a paint box with a painting palette that facilitates painting and keeping the painting site or the paint box clean.

The object is achieved by a paint box with a palette with the features specified in claim 1. Advantageous configurations of the paint box with paint palette are specified in the dependent claims.

The paint box according to the invention has a container part which has a base and holding means arranged on the base for the detachable attachment of several individual paint containers, and a cover part which is designed as a painting palette.

According to the invention, the painting palette has several paint mixing troughs, at least one of the paint mixing troughs having a retaining means for the detachable attachment of a paint container in the paint mixing trough. In particular, several or all paint mixing troughs of the painting palette are provided with a holding means for the detachable attachment of a paint container. On the other hand, in addition to color mixing troughs with holding means, there can also be those without holding means. Color containers selected for painting can be attached directly to the painting palette according to the invention. The transfer of paint from the paint containers into the paint mixing troughs can therefore take place above the painting palette, so that dripping paint is caught by the painting palette. The removal and mixing of paint requires only short brush strokes and is therefore easy. Fastening the paint containers in the paint mixing troughs provides good support and can therefore be achieved with simple and inexpensive holding means and counter-holding means arranged on the paint container.

It is advantageous if the painting palette has a plurality of color mixing wells with holding means and a plurality of color mixing wells without holding means in such an arrangement that each color mixing well without holding means is adjacent to a color mixing well with holding means. This design achieves spatial proximity between the different paint mixing troughs, so that short brush paths make handling easier. The holding means are preferably arranged in the paint mixing trough in such a way that they are covered by the paint container held therewith, so that they cannot be soiled with paint when painting. For this purpose, it is advantageous if the color mixing troughs having holding means are of such a size that the color containers can partially penetrate into them.

The inventive design of the paint box with a lid designed as a painting palette makes it possible to remove one or more paint containers whose color is to be used for painting from the container part and to fasten them in a paint well in the cover part. In this way, the wetting and removal of paint can be limited to the area of the cover part, so that the container part and the paint located there can remain clean. If you want to paint with a different color, the paint container that is no longer used can be placed back in the container part and another desired paint container can be fixed in a paint mixing trough in the cover part instead. Due to the greater distance that the paint containers can have in the paint mixing troughs in the lid part, unintentional painting over and soiling of neighboring paint containers is avoided, which is more likely to happen with conventional top paint boxes because the paint containers in the container part must be arranged closer together.

The color box according to the invention also offers the possibility of removing a few colors from the range available in the container part and anchoring them as a selected color combination in the cover part. This is in Art lessons in the first two grades are often desirable for pedagogical reasons, because it makes it easier for students to handle the colors taken out of the container and then it is easier for them to limit themselves to painting with the separated colors if they are arranged separately from the other colors. In this way, pedagogical learning content such as the color theory can be better conveyed to the children if certain colors are put together in a targeted manner by means of an arrangement in the cover part that is predetermined by the learning objective. A corresponding learning advantage is also achieved with free handling by the child in and outside of art lessons when the colors are playfully put together in the cover part according to personal preferences and the color combination desired for the picture. The paint bowls can be removed individually even with conventional paint boxes. However, they can at best be arranged on the table during handling, where they are not protected against slipping and are spatially further away from the mixing trough, so that the table and top paint box can easily be unintentionally soiled by dissolved paint dripping from brushes.

According to the invention, the holding means for attaching the ink containers to the cover part are different from the holding means for attaching the ink containers in the ink fountain. The holding means on the cover part also have a lower resistance to loosening than the holding means in the ink fountain. For the design of the holding means, those come into consideration that enter into a form-fitting, force-fitting or friction-fitting connection with the paint container.

The lid part of the ink fountain can be removable from the container part, but it can also be connected to the container part by swivel joints in such a way that it can be moved from a closed position to an open position by rotating it through 180°.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is described in more detail below.

The drawing shows the insides of an opened ink fountain 1, which has a container part 2 and a cover part 3, which are movably connected to one another by pivots 4. To close the ink fountain, the cover part 3 is folded over so that it rests on the container part 2 and closes the interior space 5 thereof. In the container part 2 there are two rows of paint containers 6 arranged next to one another, each containing a paint tablet 7 which can consist of water-soluble paint. The paint containers 6 have the shape of an open-topped pot or bowl and are fixed to the bottom 8 of the container part 2 by first holding means 9 . The first holding means 9 can be resilient or rigid detents or snappers or clamping means which, in cooperation with resilient, rigid or clamping counter-retaining means arranged on the bottom of the paint container 6, bring about a detachable fastening, by which the paint containers are held on the bottom 8 of the container part 2. Such holding and counter-holding means are made, for example DE 443 899 A , DE 699 165 A , DE 18 12 915 A and DE 23 56 204 A1 known. Instead of such mechanical holding means, other holding means, such as magnetic holding means, can also be provided.

The cover part 3 forms a painting palette 10 and has first color mixing wells 11 and second color mixing wells 12 on its inside. The paint mixing troughs 11, 12 are in the form of depressions or troughs which are recessed into the inner surface of the cover part 3 and are suitable for receiving small amounts of water or paint dissolved in water. The color mixing troughs 12 are slightly larger than the color mixing troughs 11 and are provided with a second holding means 13 in their center. The color mixing troughs 11 are arranged in alternating sequence with color mixing troughs 12 in such a way that the color mixing troughs 11 are each opposite a color mixing trough 12 . A paint container 6 inserted from the container part 2 and held in place by a holding means 13 cooperating with the paint container 6 .

As the drawing illustrates using an example, two fastening points in the container part 2 are empty and the first holding means 9 are visible there. The paint containers 6 removed from the empty spaces are located on the painting palette 10 of the cover part 3 for painting. The two paint containers 6 are inserted there in the two second paint mixing wells 12 adjacent to the left edge of the cover part 3 in the drawing and are fastened in the paint mixing wells 12 by second holding means 13. The second holding means 13 can be the same as the first holding means 9 or different from them, with suitable counter-holding means having to be present on the paint containers 6 in any case.

In this arrangement, three first color mixing troughs 11 and one color mixing trough 12 are immediately adjacent to the color containers 6 located in the cover part 3 and can be used for mixing color. The removal of color and the mixing can thus be done solely on the painting palette 10 of the cover part 3 and with short brush strokes. The risk of contamination of the container part 2 and the paint container 6 located therein is therefore low.

In the embodiment shown in the drawing, a maximum of six paint containers can be attached to the cover part 3 . This should suffice for the majority of applications. However, configurations for accommodating more than six paint containers on the cover part 3 are also possible.
