Abstract
Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Besäumen von Glastafeln (2) mit zumindest einem Schleifkopf (3), welcher einen Träger und zumindest eine an dem Träger angeordnete und relativ zu dem Träger bewegbare Motoraufnahme (10) aufweist, an welcher ein Schleifscheibenantrieb (6) und eine mit dem Schleifscheibenantrieb (6) gekoppelte Schleifscheibe (4) angeordnet sind, welche eine Schleifoberfläche (5) zum Abtragen von Glasmaterial von einem Glastafelrand (8) aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass dass der Schleifkopf (3) zumindest einen elektrischen Linearmotor (12) aufweist, welcher sowohl mit dem Träger als auch mit der Motoraufnahme (10) gekoppelt ist, und dass die Motoraufnahme (10) und die daran angeordnete Schleifscheibe (4) mittels des Linearmotors (12) entlang einer quer zur Schleifoberfläche (5) der Schleifscheibe (4) verlaufenden Zustellrichtung (A) relativ zum Träger verschiebbar sind. The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for trimming glass sheets (2) having at least one grinding head (3) which has a support and at least one motor mount (10) arranged on the support and movable relative to the support, to which a grinding wheel drive (6 ) and a grinding wheel (4) coupled to the grinding wheel drive (6), which has a grinding surface (5) for removing glass material from a glass sheet edge (8). According to the invention, it is provided that the grinding head (3) has at least one electric linear motor (12) which is coupled both to the carrier and to the motor mount (10), and in that the motor mount (10) and the grinding wheel (4 ) are displaceable relative to the carrier by means of the linear motor (12) along a feed direction (A) running transversely to the grinding surface (5) of the grinding wheel (4).
