Description
- The object of the invention is a bathroom screen according to the preamble of
claim 1. - This bathroom screen has constructive particularities aimed at protecting the movement wheels, at improving the fastening of the fixed panel or panels of the screen, at guaranteeing the closure between the fixed panel and a vertical supporting wall and at allowing for the formation of angular screens without the need for the screen to be secured to the wall on all of the faces thereof.
- This invention applies to the manufacturing of bathroom screens, for both showers and bathtubs.
-
DE 20 2007 003 256 U1 shows a bathroom screen comprising an upper guide for movement wheels, wherein the guide is mounted on a pillar.DE 20 2006 019 678 U1 shows a bathroom screen comprising upper and lower guides having laterally protruding rails for movement wheels.US 2013/0097935 A1 shows a sliding door panel assembly having a top guide to stabilize the mobile panel, wherein the weight of the mobile panel is borne by one or two movement wheels to run on the bottom. - Different types of bathroom screens which generally have at least a fixed panel, and a mobile panel, making the movement between an open position and a closed position possible, said mobile panel moving parallel and close to the fixed panel, are currently known.
- Also known are angled bathroom screens with two fixed panels arranged on perpendicular planes, intended to be fixed to two perpendicular supporting walls and with a mobile panel which acts as a door; these angled screens, together with the supporting walls, delimiting a quadrangular space for the bath tub or shower.
- Both straight bathroom screens and angled bathroom screens generally have wheels fixed to the mobile panel and mounted on horizontal guides for the movement of said mobile panel between an open position and a closed position.
- On bathroom screens of this type, such as the one described in utility model
ES 1075118U - Also known is the fastening of one of the vertical ends of the fixed panel or panels to a supporting wall by means of a securing profile generally fastened by screws to the aforementioned supporting wall, said securing profile in turn being fastened to the vertical end of the corresponding fixed panel by means of silicon or another similar product during the installation of the bathroom screen.
- These fastening means have several drawbacks with regard to use, given that it does not suitably solve the possible errors in the vertical relationship of the supporting wall, nor do they guarantee a correct seal of the joint of the bathroom screen to the supporting wall, since said seal depends on how a worker applies a silicone or product for joining the fixed panel of the bathroom screen to the securing profile of the wall.
- These sealing problems may be compounded in the case of angled bathroom screens which require the sealing of two outer fixed panels to each supporting wall.
- Although there is a wide variety of bathroom screens on the market with different structures and configurations, the applicant is not aware of the existence of any prior art of bathroom screens that satisfactorily solve the previously presented problem and which have similar technical characteristics to those of the bathroom screen of the present invention.
