Definitions
- the present invention relates to a windscreen washer fluid for a vehicle, in particular an automobile.
- the windscreen wiper systems may include means for spraying windscreen fluid on the windshield. These projection means may be located on the hood, on the windshield bay grille or, in a more recent version, on the windscreen wiper blades, this in particular for flat-blade or flat blade brushes. In English, that is to say, for the brooms having by themselves a bend allowing them to be mounted on the arms without the intermediary of stirrups or pedals.
- car wash fluids are designed to be sprayed on the windshield and wiped immediately by the wiper blades. They must not leave traces once wiped and dried. They have a very limited detergency and their action time is low.
- the wiper systems using these conventional windshield wiper liquids have a relatively low performance especially with respect to cleaning windshields soiled by insect impacts.
- the present invention provides a simple, effective and economical solution to this problem.
- the invention proposes a washer fluid for a vehicle windshield, comprising:
- the washer fluid according to the invention has an increased detergency compared to prior art washer liquids.
- the glycol ether which is preferably butylglycol (or 2-butoxyethanol) has a relatively high wetting and solubilizing power. It is an organic solvent, relatively inexpensive, inexpensive and with the properties of a fairly effective surfactant. Its concentration in the washing liquid is between 5 and 15%, and preferably between 8 and 12%, and for example 10% (by weight or "w / w").
- the washer fluid is therefore relatively concentrated in glycol ether to enhance its detergency.
- a glycol ether dissolves easily in water. It can therefore be easily removed by rinsing.
- the washer fluid has a concentration of ether glycol such that it must be removed by rinsing, after spraying on a windshield, not to leave traces on the windshield.
- the ice wash liquid comprises a mixture of an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant.
- This surfactant mixture optimizes the detergency of the liquid.
- a nonionic surfactant has the advantage of having good dispersant, antifoam and emulsifier properties
- an anionic surfactant has the advantage of having good wetting and emulsifying powers.
- an anionic surfactant makes it possible to limit the risk of redeposition of the stains due to the interactions between the charges borne by the anionic surfactants of the micelles containing the stains and those carried by the surfactants. anionic layers covering the windshield. Surfactants can be easily removed by rinsing.

- the washing liquid may comprise sodium lauryl sulphate, preferably between 0.01 and 1% by weight.
- Sodium lauryl sulphate or sodium dodecyl sulphate is an anionic surfactant having a high HLB (40).
- HLB 40
- Sulfopon® N70 can be used. It has a CMC of 7.10 " 3 mol.L " 1 . It may be present in a small proportion in the washing liquid relative to another surfactant.
- the ratio between the weight of the anionic surfactant and that of the nonionic surfactant is, for example, between 1: 5 and 1: 10.
- the ice wash liquid could comprise an alkylbenzene sulfonate or a polyethoxylated alkyl sulfate as anionic surfactant.
- the surfactant or surfactant mixture of the washing liquid preferably has an HLB between 12 and 14. This makes it possible to guarantee the wetting and detergency powers of the surfactant (s).
- the surfactant or the mixture of surfactants preferably has a
- the washing-up liquid according to the invention may comprise one or more of the following additives:
- a base such as ammonia (NH 3), sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or potassium hydroxide (KOH), for example between 0.05 and 1% by weight, at least one perfume (such as S-Limonene), for example between 0.01 and 1% by weight,
- At least one dye for example between 0.01 and 1% by weight
- isopropanol for example between 5 and 10% by weight

Abstract
Description
Liquide lave glace pour pare-brise de véhicule
DOMAINE TECHNIQUE
DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE
Formulations Θ Θ Θ PH
Pare-brise Pare-brise + Pare-brise + propre Oeuf insectes
BG1 5 24 26 9,7
(5% éther de glycol)
BG2 5 29 27 8,7
(5% éther de glycol)
BG3 8 33 17 8,7
(10% éther de glycol)
BG4 5 23 25 9,4
