Claims (4)

  1. A baling press (1) for compressing material (2), in particular waste material from cardboard boxes, foils or PET bottles, to form a bale (3) surrounded by at least one wire loop (7),
    consisting of:
    - a bale press housing (8), into which an opening (13) for introducing the material (2) to be compressed is incorporated and in the interior whereof a compression space (9) is provided,
    - a press ram (9) arranged to be axially displaceable within the bale press housing (8) and extending adjacent to the opening (13) by means of which, in cooperation with the bale press housing (8) and a door (11), the compression space (10) is closed,
    - one or more wire rolls (5) onto which a wire (6) is rolled up and can be unwound therefrom, which is arranged within the interior of the bale press housing (8) for forming the wire loop (7),
    - a packaging means (21) by means of which the wires (6) unwound from the wire rolls (5) are transported in the direction of the press ram (9) and by means of which the loose ends of the wires (6) are connected with one another in the region of the press ram (9),
    wherein the packaging means (21) is displaceably mounted to the bale press housing (8), wherein the position of the press ram (9) and the position of the packaging means (21) are aligned with one another, while the bale (3) is surrounded by means of the wire loop (7),
    wherein in the press ram (9), at least one insertion opening (28) aligned perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the press ram (9) is provided, which extends in alignment with the position of the packaging means (21), while the wire loop (7) is placed around the bale (3) thereby, and wherein in the press ram (9), an outlet slot (30) is provided through which the respective wire loop (7) is drawn upon retraction of the press ram (9),
    characterised in that
    at each of the press ram (9) and the packaging means (21) a sensor (26 or 27) is arranged by means of which the positions of the press ram (9) and the packaging means (21) can be controlled,
    the stroke distances of the press ram (9) are measured by the sensors (26), that by means of the measured movements of the press ram (9), the completion of the respective compression process can be determined, and that at the packaging means (21) the sensor (27) is provided, which causes the position of the packaging means (21) to be aligned with regard to the position of the press ram (9).
  2. The baling press (1) according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the packaging means (21) is supported on a rail (22) and that the packaging means (21) is movable relative to the bale press housing (8) by means of a drive (24).
  3. The baling press according to claim 2,
    characterised in that
    between the packaging means (21) and the drive (24), a spindle (23), a circulating chain or a circulating V-belt, or a pneumatically or hydraulically actuatable pressure piston is provided, by means of which, for relative movement of the packaging means (21), the respective drive torque of the drive (24) can be transferred thereto.
  4. The baling press (1) according to one of the foregoing claims,
    characterised in that
    the direction of displacement of the packaging means (21) is aligned to be perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the baling press (1).
