Definitions
- the present invention relates to a reducer for the arrangement between a lamppost and a mast flange of a patch on the lamppost lamp.
- a disadvantage of this design is that for electrical connection of the lamp, which is usually done by an electrical cable inside the mast, the reducer must be threaded over the cable before the lamp can be connected to the cable. This is expensive to install and also involves the risk that the edges of the reducer damage the cable during assembly.
- EP 0 240 054 A1 discloses a mast luminaire with a ring element which is applied around the mast. On a ring element several individual lamps are held. An intermediate piece is arranged inside the ring and formed from two half-shells, which is arranged between the outer circumference of the mast and the inside of the ring on which the lamps are held.
- Object of the present invention is to provide a reducer of the type mentioned, which is easier to assemble.
- the invention is achieved by a reducer according to claim 1.

- the reducer may, for example, have a shell wall in the basic form which is in the form of the luminaire mast (e.g., round or polygonal).
- the recess may be formed by a slot in the shell wall, which extends over the entire length of the reducer. The width of the slot must be at least dimensioned so that an electrical cable can be pushed through the slot from outside to inside in the reducer.
- An advantage of the invention is that the electrical connection cable no longer has to be threaded through from one end through the reducer, as in the prior art, in order to mount the luminaire with the reducer on the luminaire pole. This not only simplifies assembly, but also it also reduces the risk that threading the electrical connection cable through the reducer will damage the cable at the edges of the reducer.
- the recess extends over an opening angle between 5 ° and 120 °, preferably between 10 ° and 90 °, measured from a central
- the reducer has the basic shape of a cylinder and the recess is given by a circular section between 5 ° and 120 °, preferably between 10 ° and 90 °.
- a continuous cylinder but only a partially formed cylindrical piece can be provided.
- These sections each contain a section to allow the cable to be inserted.
- the hollow shape of the reducer does not have to be cylindrical, but may for example have quadrangular or any other polygonal shape that may have a lamppost.
- each section of a supporting structure to understand at the end of a lamp is placed with a flange.
- it may also be an arm that extends horizontally or at any angle to the horizontal plane from a house wall or a post.
- the reducer has at least two sections which are arranged one above the other in a longitudinal direction of the reducer and which are connected to one another by a web.
- a web Unlike the in FIG. 1 illustrated reducer according to the prior art can also be provided according to the invention to form the reducer only from the superimposed sections, each forming a part of the inner or outer side of the reducer to rest against the lamppost or on the mast flange.
- the sections are connected to one another by a web, so that the sections are viewed one above the other in the longitudinal direction of the lamp post.
- This construction is material-saving as a Reduzier published, which has a shell wall made of a solid material.
- this reducer also has a continuous recess connecting the two opposite openings of the reducer. In this case, respectively a recess formed on each of the two sections of the reducer.
- the recesses in the respective two sections of the reducer can be arranged one above the other.
- the electric cable can be inserted straight through the recesses into the interior of the reducer.
- the recesses in the two sections are arranged offset from one another. Since the electrical connection cable is flexible, it can also be passed through the two recesses individually, if they are not aligned.
- This embodiment has the advantage that the reducer in the mounted state in a projection parallel to the longitudinal extent of the lamp post encloses the lamp post in full. As a result, the clamping connection between mast flange and lamp post is more stable.
- At least one hole is formed in the side wall of the reducer in the preferred embodiment having a plurality of sections of the reducer connected by the web to perform a clamping screw.

Description
The present invention relates to a reducer for the arrangement between a lamppost and a mast flange of a patch on the lamppost lamp.
In the prior art, it is customary to set up a lamp with a mast flange on a lamppost for mounting pole lights and clamp. In order to compensate for a gap between the inside of the mast flange and the outer circumference of the lamppost, reducers, e.g. in the form of a solid cylindrical element, as shown in Figure 1 used.
A disadvantage of this design, however, is that for electrical connection of the lamp, which is usually done by an electrical cable inside the mast, the reducer must be threaded over the cable before the lamp can be connected to the cable. This is expensive to install and also involves the risk that the edges of the reducer damage the cable during assembly.
Object of the present invention is to provide a reducer of the type mentioned, which is easier to assemble.
The invention is achieved by a reducer according to claim 1.
A special feature of the reducer of the present invention is that a recess is provided in the reducer, which connects the two opposite openings of the hollow shape of the reducer with each other. Through the recess, the electrical cable, which is already mounted between the lamp post and the lamp, be introduced into the interior of the reducer to then arrange the reducer during assembly of the lamp on the lamp post between the mast flange and the lamp post. The recess may, for example, comprise a longitudinal slot in a continuous wall of the reducer, the longitudinal slot extending continuously from the upper opening to the lower opening of the reducer. In particular, the reducer may, for example, have a shell wall in the basic form which is in the form of the luminaire mast (e.g., round or polygonal). The recess may be formed by a slot in the shell wall, which extends over the entire length of the reducer. The width of the slot must be at least dimensioned so that an electrical cable can be pushed through the slot from outside to inside in the reducer.
An advantage of the invention is that the electrical connection cable no longer has to be threaded through from one end through the reducer, as in the prior art, in order to mount the luminaire with the reducer on the luminaire pole. This not only simplifies assembly, but also it also reduces the risk that threading the electrical connection cable through the reducer will damage the cable at the edges of the reducer.
Erfindungsgemäß erstreckt sich die Aussparung über einen Öffnungswinkel zwischen 5° und 120°, bevorzugt zwischen 10° und 90°, gemessen von einer zentralenAccording to the invention, the recess extends over an opening angle between 5 ° and 120 °, preferably between 10 ° and 90 °, measured from a central
Longitudinal axis of the reducer. For example, the reducer has the basic shape of a cylinder and the recess is given by a circular section between 5 ° and 120 °, preferably between 10 ° and 90 °. Instead of a continuous cylinder but only a partially formed cylindrical piece can be provided. These sections each contain a section to allow the cable to be inserted. The hollow shape of the reducer does not have to be cylindrical, but may for example have quadrangular or any other polygonal shape that may have a lamppost. As a luminaire mast in the context of this invention, each section of a supporting structure to understand at the end of a lamp is placed with a flange. For example, it may also be an arm that extends horizontally or at any angle to the horizontal plane from a house wall or a post.
According to a preferred embodiment of the latter embodiment, the recesses in the respective two sections of the reducer can be arranged one above the other. Thereby, the electric cable can be inserted straight through the recesses into the interior of the reducer. According to an alternative embodiment, it can also be provided that the recesses in the two sections are arranged offset from one another. Since the electrical connection cable is flexible, it can also be passed through the two recesses individually, if they are not aligned. This embodiment has the advantage that the reducer in the mounted state in a projection parallel to the longitudinal extent of the lamp post encloses the lamp post in full. As a result, the clamping connection between mast flange and lamp post is more stable.
According to a preferred embodiment, at least one hole is formed in the side wall of the reducer in the preferred embodiment having a plurality of sections of the reducer connected by the web to perform a clamping screw. The clamping screw may be screwed from the exterior of the luminaire through the mast flange and said reducer hole to press on the luminaire pole. As a result, the mast flange is clamped laterally on the lamp post, the reducer fills a distance between the lamp post and the interior of the mast flange. In particular, the clamping between the lamppost, the reducer and the mast flange is given.
According to a preferred embodiment, projections are provided on the inside of the reducer provided for this purpose are to rest in the installed state of the reducer on the outer circumference of the lamppost. This embodiment has the advantage that the reducer is not fully applied to the lamppost, but only on the smaller inwardly facing surfaces of the projections. As a result, unevenness can be compensated on the lamppost. Furthermore, a ventilation between the outside of the lamppost and the reducer is given.
The invention further relates to a pole lamp with a lamp post and a patch on the lamp post luminaire, between a mast flange of the lamp and the lamp post, a reducer, as previously described, is mounted. A continuous electrical cable extends from the luminaire inside the reducer and inside the luminaire pole. It is advantageous that the cable between the interior of the lamppost and the lamp can already be connected before the reducer is mounted. Furthermore, the cable does not need to be severed because the recess in the reducer allows the cable to be inserted into the reducer without having to thread it lengthwise from one aperture to the opposite aperture of the reducer.
According to another aspect, the invention further relates to a method of mounting a pole light as described above, the method comprising the steps of: connecting the luminaire to an electrical cable laid in the luminaire pole and then inserting the cable into the reducer through the recess; and
Mounting the lamp with the mast flange on the lamp post, wherein the reducer is clamped between an outer periphery of the lamp post and an inner periphery of the mast flange. An advantage of the method is that the reducer can be mounted when the lamp is already connected to the cable installed inside the lamppost.
