- Printing device (10) for printing on print workpieces (1) having
a machine base body (20), which features a lateral side (22) and a longitudinal side (21) and is designed to accommodate at least one print workpiece,
a guiding means (40), which is arranged above the machine base body and extends across the print workpiece across the width of the machine base body,
a printing means, which is designed for printing on the print workpiece and is movably supported on the guiding means across the width of the machine base body, and
on the machine base body is provided at least one translating means (30), upon which the print workpiece being accommodated is arranged and which is designed to change the position of the at least one print workpiece with respect to the machine base body,- wherein the printing means features at least one first printhead unit (41) and one second printhead unit (42), which are able to move on the guiding means across the width of the machine base body from each other independently in relation to one another,- each printhead unit features at least one printhead, which is designed to print at least one color of print ink on the print workpiece,- the guiding means is designed as a portal guide having a crossbar which extends in a lateral direction, and- the first printhead unit is movably supported on a front side of the crossbar and the second printhead unit is movably supported on a rear side of the crossbar.characterized in that- the translating means has at least two carriages (31) on which in each case at least one print workpiece is stored so that it can be moved in approximately parallel to the longitudinal side of the machine base body,- that the number of printhead units in operation correspond to the number of the print workpieces to print in parallel, and- that the printhead units of the printing means are designed to print an image on the adjacent print workpieces being provided both collectively and independently of one another. - Device for printing on textile surfaces according to claim 1,
characterized in that- the guiding means is arranged to be approximately parallel to the lateral side of the machine base body. - Device for printing on textile surfaces according to anyone of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that- the portal guide is movably supported with respect to the machine base body (20).
- Printing method for printing on print workpieces (1) having a printing device (10) according to anyone of claims 1 to 3,
in which on a machine base body (20) at least two print workpieces are accommodated and a printing device is delivered to the print workpieces,
wherein- the first printhead unit (41) and at least one second printhead unit (42) of the printing device are moved across the width of the machine base body from each other independently in relation to one another along the guiding means and the print workpieces are printed with a print image,- the first printhead unit is moved along one first longitudinal side of the guiding means and the at least second printing device is moved along one second longitudinal side of the guiding means, and- that the printhead units print the printed image on a plurality of adjacent print workpieces being provided collectively or independently of one another according to need.
