Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cutlery drawer for a dishwasher, comprising a support frame mounted so that it can be pulled out in a washing container of a dishwasher and a plurality of cutlery inserts movably arranged on the support frame, on which items of crockery to be washed, in particular cutlery, can be placed, with at least one of the cutlery inserts transverse to the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer is arranged horizontally and vertically displaceable on the support frame with one of its two long sides extending in the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer.
  • a cutlery drawer of the type mentioned at the beginning, ie of the generic type, is from the EP 2 754 377 A1 known.
  • the previously known cutlery drawer has a support frame on which three cutlery inserts are arranged, namely a middle cutlery insert on the one hand and two cutlery inserts adjacent to it, which accommodate the middle cutlery insert between them on the other.
  • the middle cutlery insert is arranged on the support frame so that it can be moved in the vertical direction.
  • the other two cutlery inserts are each arranged horizontally transversely to the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer and each with their long side facing away from the middle insert, which extends in the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer, arranged vertically on the support frame.
  • the middle insert can therefore be placed in either an upper or a lower height position.
  • the middle insert is in its lower height position, one of the other two inserts can be moved horizontally over the middle insert which is in the lower height position. In the non-shifted starting position, the two outer cutlery inserts can also be tilted as a result of a vertical displacement of the long side facing away from the middle insert.
  • the adjustment option of the individual cutlery inserts provided with the previously known cutlery drawer advantageously allows larger items of cutlery or crockery to be accommodated in the cutlery drawer if necessary.
  • the previously known cutlery drawer has proven itself in everyday practical use, it is not free from disadvantages. It has proven to be particularly disadvantageous that the support frame provided for guiding the cutlery inserts, due to its design, reduces the clear height available for loading of a crockery basket positioned below the cutlery drawer in the washing compartment. In this respect, the ability to equip the upper basket is also limited even if the individual cutlery inserts in the cutlery drawer are in their upper position.
  • Another generic cutlery drawer is from the EP 2 789 286 A1 known.
  • This known cutlery drawer has a fixed middle part which has cutlery inserts arranged on both the left and right sides so that they can be pivoted and moved with respect to the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer.
  • a link guide is provided, which provides guide grooves into which pins on the cutlery insert side engage.
  • the disadvantage of this design is in particular the complex and expensive construction as well as the reduced depth of the cutlery drawer in the pull-out direction due to the provided link guide, which limits the usable area of the cutlery inserts.
  • the guide grooves of the link guide have the disadvantage of being prone to contamination. Even when used as intended, dirt particles and impurities can undesirably accumulate in the guide grooves.
  • the US 2014/137906 A1 and the WO 2014/067243 A1 each disclose a cutlery drawer with a support frame and two cutlery inserts arranged next to each other in one position.
  • One of the inserts is held by the support frame so that it can be moved both horizontally and vertically transversely to the extension direction of the cutlery drawer, so that it can be moved under the other insert in a lowered position.
  • the object of the invention is to further develop a cutlery drawer of the generic type in such a way that simplified handling for the user is achieved while at the same time increasing the equipping flexibility.
  • the invention provides a cutlery drawer with the Features of claim 1 proposed.
  • the cutlery insert movably arranged on the support frame can be moved horizontally transversely to the pull-out view of the cutlery drawer and vertically with respect to its two long sides extending in the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer.
  • the cutlery drawer according to the invention has a total of three cutlery inserts.
  • a fixed middle insert and two cutlery inserts designed to be movable in accordance with the invention are provided, which accommodate the middle cutlery insert between them.
  • the middle cutlery insert is arranged at a lower height, so that it is permitted to move one of the movable cutlery inserts in a horizontal direction over the middle cutlery insert. In their non-moved starting position, the movable cutlery inserts can also be tilted by moving the long side opposite the middle insert downwards in the vertical direction.
  • the second long side of the respective cutlery insert can also be moved downwards in the height direction, which allows the movable cutlery inserts to also be moved into a lower position in the height direction, in which position they are essentially at the same height level as the fixed middle insert.
  • the construction according to the invention allows a variety of setting options. Both or only one of the two movable cutlery inserts can be placed in an upper or lower height position or in an inclined position. Furthermore, one of the two movable cutlery inserts can be moved horizontally over the middle, fixed insert. Overall, with the cutlery drawer according to the invention, a cutlery drawer is proposed which, due to its adjustment options, enables a high degree of flexibility with regard to the items to be washed and is also easy to operate by the user.
  • At least one of the movable cutlery inserts is detachably received from the support frame on the user side. If necessary, the cutlery insert can be removed from the support frame by the user. On the one hand, this enables replacement with a different cutlery insert and/or an increase in space for accommodating larger items to be washed in the washing compartment of the dishwasher.
  • the at least one movable cutlery insert on the one hand and the support frame on the other hand each provide a guide geometry which is designed to correspond to one another in such a way that the support frame holds the cutlery insert arranged thereon in a captivity.
  • the cutlery insert and the support frame work together in such a way that the cutlery insert is securely received and held by the support frame, so that unintentional loosening, in particular the cutlery insert falling out of the support frame, is prevented.
  • the design according to the invention is particularly characterized by its simplicity.
  • the support frame on the one hand and the cutlery insert on the other hand are coordinated in their geometric dimensions in such a way that the cutlery insert can be easily adjusted and locked without complex, expensive and dirt-prone mechanics.
  • This takes advantage of the fact that the cutlery insert can be adjusted in the horizontal direction and to this extent there is forced guidance through the support frame.
  • the different positions of use that can be assumed by the cutlery insert result from the mutually adapted guide geometries, whereby the positive guidance ensures that the cutlery insert does not unintentionally detach from the support frame. Due to this corresponding geometry of the support frame and cutlery insert, a complex and expensive locking mechanism can be dispensed with. In addition, the total number of components used is reduced, which simplifies production and makes it more cost-effective.
  • the cutlery insert has a support element on its long side, which extends in the pull-out direction and faces away from the support frame, which is releasably connected to a rib carried by the support frame interacts, the support element having a cam contour on the rib side.
  • the cutlery insert is therefore supported against the support frame not only along its long side facing the support frame, but also along its second long side facing away from the support frame, i.e. the long side opposite the first long side.
  • the second longitudinal side facing away from the support frame has a support element which interacts with a rib provided by the support frame.
  • the support element that interacts with the rib has a cam contour on the rib side, which according to the invention has a locking recess into which the rib with a rib extension can dip when the cutlery insert is in the appropriate position.
  • the cutlery insert In the starting position, the cutlery insert is supported by the support frame both on one long side and on its other long side.
  • the long side assigned to the support frame can be adjusted in the height direction, which allows the cutlery insert to be tilted, as a result of which the cutlery insert is oriented obliquely downwards, starting from a central part of the support frame towards the outside of the support frame.
  • the other long side of the cutlery insert can also be moved downwards in the height direction, for which purpose the cutlery insert is to be moved on the user side in the horizontal direction, as a result of which the cam contour of the support element slides along the rib provided by the support frame until the Rib engages in the locking recess provided by the cam contour.
  • the cutlery insert is moved downwards in the vertical direction with respect to both one and the other long side and at the same time is fixed in position in the horizontal direction against an unwanted movement.
  • the cutlery insert can also be moved horizontally, in particular in order to transfer it from a use position to a non-use position.
  • the support frame provides a guide cam which releasably cooperates with a guide contour formed on the cutlery insert, the Guide cam one Provides support surface on which the guide contour rests in the event of contact.
  • the cutlery insert When the cutlery insert is moved in the horizontal direction, it is supported by the guide contour provided by the cutlery insert on a support surface which is provided by a guide cam on the support frame side. This support ensures that the cutlery insert cannot fall out of the support frame.
  • the guide cam has a section serving as a movement stop for the cutlery insert, which interacts with an abutment provided by the guide contour of the cutlery insert.
  • the guide cam has a number of tasks. On the one hand, it serves, in the manner already prescribed, to ensure movement of the cutlery insert in a horizontal direction. Furthermore, when the cutlery insert is moved downwards in the height direction, the guide cam ensures that the support surface is prevented from infiltrating. Structurally, this is achieved by the guide cam having a section that serves as a stop.
  • the guide contour rests against this stop with an abutment, which ensures that a displacement movement in the horizontal direction is only possible again when the cutlery insert is transferred from its lower height alignment to its upper height alignment, in which orientation the guide contour is again on the from Guide cam rests on the support surface provided.
  • the cutlery insert has guide means which engage under holding rails provided by the support frame. This constructive measure ensures two things. On the one hand, it is guaranteed that the cutlery insert with its guide contour does not slip off the support surface provided by the guide cam. Furthermore, it is ensured that the cutlery insert does not tilt relative to the support frame when the cutlery insert is displaced in the horizontal direction. This ensures that the cutlery insert is operated safely and without jamming by the user.
  • the cutlery insert has a holding element on its first longitudinal side, which extends in the pull-out direction and faces the support frame and which can be detached from the support frame provided abutment cooperates, the abutment being designed in two stages to support the holding element in a first and a second height position.
  • the cutlery drawers known from the prior art provide support for the movable cutlery insert on the front and rear transverse sides in the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer.
  • the design according to the invention takes a completely different approach.
  • the cutlery insert is thus accommodated on the support frame in a replaceable manner on the user side, with the cutlery insert being supported on the support frame in the position of use via its long sides running in the pull-out direction of the cutlery drawer.
  • a holding element is provided on the long side of the cutlery insert facing the support frame, which interacts with an abutment on the support frame side.
  • the abutment is designed in two stages, so that the holding element interacts with the abutment either in a first or a second position.
  • the support frame-side abutment provides a retaining web that interacts with the retaining element and a retaining tab that interacts with the retaining element.
  • the cutlery insert can be adjusted in the vertical direction, i.e. in the height direction relative to the support frame.
  • a starting position and a lowered position in comparison to this are preferably possible.
  • the longitudinal side of the cutlery insert on the support frame is supported by means of the holding element on the holding web provided by the abutment.
  • the holding element preferably has a hook extension which is latched onto the holding web. Due to this latching, unwanted displacement in the horizontal direction is prevented.
  • the holding element of the cutlery insert is supported against a holding tab provided by the abutment.
  • the retaining tab provides a receptacle for the retaining element, on which the retaining element rests.
  • the retaining web of the abutment and the retaining tab of the abutment are aligned with one another in their geometric configuration in such a way that, according to a further feature of the invention, the retaining element can reach under the retaining web when the retaining tab comes into full engagement.
  • the cutlery drawer according to the invention provides more flexibility overall through more adjustment options, which allow easy adjustment to the load in the dishwasher.
  • the multi-stage height adjustment of the cutlery insert over a larger range offers more flexibility when loading cutlery and crockery both in the cutlery drawer and with crockery in the upper basket arranged below the cutlery drawer. Due to the design of the cutlery drawer according to the invention, the clear height in the upper basket arranged below the cutlery drawer is not limited.
  • the solution according to the invention is comparatively simple and the number of components is reduced compared to the prior art.
