  • a proximal portion 226 of the intermediate member 220 is introduced into the axial housing 42 at the end of the rod 30, advantageously until the proximal portion 80 of the sleeve abuts against the distal end of the rod 30.
  • the intermediate member 220 is then firmly fixed in the rod 30 by radial clamping.
  • the sleeve 34 is firmly fixed on the intermediate member by radial clamping.
  • the mounting of the sleeve 34 around the brush 32 is therefore simplified, since the relative displacement of the brush 32 with respect to the sleeve 34 in order to extract the bristles 52 through the passage openings 62 is carried out without moving the rod 30, advantageously prior to the supplying of a rod 30, for example separately in two different production units.
  • the unit formed by the sleeve 34 mounted around the brush 32 is then assembled onto the rod 30 by means of the intermediate member 220.
