L'invention concerne un maillage (1) constitué d'anneaux de fil métallique, dans lequel chaque anneau (2) est constitué par la répétition d'enroulement et de torsade d'un fil métallique (3) sur lui-même pour former un brin annulaire à partir duquel font saillie les deux extrémités (4, 5) du fil métallique (3); les deux extrémités (4, 5) du fil métallique (3) étant amenées à proximité l'une de l'autre et étant simultanément enroulées en hélice autour du brin avec le même sens de bobinage pour fermer le brin.
