- the reverse movements of the pistons 5 thus provide in turn filling and evacuation of the lights 16, with a precise dosage, equal to the volume of the lights 16, the amount of material removed; the evacuation is made possible by the powerful action of the centrifugal field which expels the solid.
- the lights 16 therefore constitute evacuation chambers that define the volume of evacuation of material at each command.
- the ring 4 could be immobile in rotation, and the bearings 8 or the permanent magnets 9 would then be carried by the pistons 5 or, again, arranged on a second ring parallel to the ring 4. These could control the opening and closing the orifices 3 by moving an intermediate piece. They could also be moved in rotation instead of in translation. Despite its disadvantages, a hydraulic and non-mechanical actuation would be possible.
- the lumen 16 could be formed by one end or a lateral notch of the piston 5 or the intermediate piece, instead of being a central bore.
- the invention could be applied to any rotating machine performing centrifugation: cylindrical bowl, horizontal screw, etc. for solid dehydration and / or fluid clarification.
