Description

The present invention relates to the technical field of hairdryers and, in particular, hand-held electric hairdryers used by professionals and / or individuals. In a preferred but not exclusive application, the invention relates to blower brushes.

A hand blower generally comprises an elongated tubular body that is open at both ends, one of which defines an air inlet and the other an air outlet adapted to carry a removable accessory or not. The tubular body encloses a motor-fan unit which comprises a propeller integral with the drive shaft of an electric motor. Most often the tubular body has dimensions adapted to form a handle and allow its grip in direct hand. The tubular body is furthermore equipped with a connection cord to the electrical network as well as control members for the operation of the electric motor. During the operation of the hair dryer, the fan motor unit sucks air through the inlet located at the rear of the tubular body to push back through the outlet located at the front of the latter. Generally, the blower brush comprises, inside the tubular body, downstream of the propeller means for electric heating of the blown air.

To allow shaping of the hair during drying, the blower brush is equipped with a tubular accessory comprising on its periphery openings for diffusing the blown air and optionally bristles and / or pins. In order to ensure drying as efficient as possible by obtaining a good diffusion of air through the orifices of the accessory, the brush uses a motor-fan group of high power, for example of the order of 1000W. In the same way, in order to favor this good diffusion, a patent application JP2013059580 proposed to incorporate inside the tubular accessory air deflection means comprising an axial hub which carries radial fins directing the air blown towards the diffusion openings.

Such a blower brush gives overall satisfaction with regard to its primary function of hair drying. However, if we observe the quality of the air diffusion, it is clear that notwithstanding the power of the motor-fan unit air does not diffuse evenly over the length of the accessory and that the temperature blown air is also not uniform. In addition, such a blower brush has the disadvantage of being particularly noisy which induces fatigue during prolonged use by a professional or a nuisance for the user and those around him.

The document GB2097669 discloses a blower accessory comprising a diffusion tube and air deflection means.

It has therefore emerged the need for a new type of accessory that offers an air diffusion quality superior to that of existing accessories in order to possibly be able to reduce the blowing or heating power while obtaining drying performance. at least equivalent to that of the blower brushes according to the prior art.

In order to achieve these objectives, the invention relates to an accessory for a hairdressing appliance, comprising:
  • an elongated diffusion tube of axis Δ which comprises:
    • an open fitting end on the hairdressing appliance and the opposite end being partly at least closed,
    • between the adaptation end and the opposite end, an air diffusion chamber of axis Δ,
    • lateral openings of diffusion of the air arranged in the peripheral wall of the diffusion chamber,
  • air deflection means disposed within the diffusion chamber.
According to the invention, the accessory is characterized in that the deflection means comprise at least one annular baffle comprising a central opening and the outer circumference of each annular baffle is in contact with the peripheral wall.

The implementation of an annular deflector comprising a central opening, that is to say an open deflector and free of obstacles in its center, ensures a better homogeneity of the diffusion of the air blown on the length of the diffusion chamber without inducing the pressure losses such that those resulting from the means of deflection according to demand JP2013059580 . Thus, at the outlet flow of the equivalent accessory, it becomes possible to reduce the power of the motor-fan unit of the hairdressing apparatus equipped with the accessory according to the invention and therefore the noise generated by said hairdressing appliance.

According to one characteristic of the invention, when the accessory comprises a deflector, the passage section of the lateral diffusion openings arranged after the deflector decreases from one opening to the other in the direction F1 of the air flow. . This can be reproduced after each deflector when the accessory has several. This deflector combination followed, in the direction of passage of the air, by an evolutive section (preferably diminished when in combination with an annular baffle) openings improves the homogeneity of the diffusion of the air blown along the length of the diffusion chamber without inducing losses.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the central opening of each deflector has a circular shape.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the central opening of each deflector is coaxial with the axis Δ of the diffusion chamber.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention that is characteristic of the invention, the deflection means comprise at least two annular deflectors remote from each other along the axis Δ. The implementation of several deflectors makes it possible to homogenize the diffusion of air along the diffusion chamber.

According to a variant of this preferred embodiment, the passage section of the central opening of the baffles decreases from an annular baffle to the next annular baffle in the direction of flow of air from the inlet. This variant makes it possible to maintain the homogeneity of the diffusion by compensating the pressure drops.

According to another variant of the preferred embodiment, the annular deflectors divide the diffusion chamber into compartments of length, measured parallel to the axis Δ, substantially equal. This variant allows also to maintain the homogeneity of the diffusion by compensating for the losses of load.

According to yet another variant of the preferred embodiment, the annular deflectors divide the diffusion chamber into compartments and, for the same compartment, the passage cross section of the diffusion openings decreases from one opening to the other in the F1 direction. of the flow of air.

According to another characteristic of the preferred embodiment, two consecutive annular deflectors are connected by at least one spacer. This variant makes it easier to install the annular baffles during assembly of the accessory according to the invention.

According to a variant of this feature, each spacer is located in contact with the inner face of the peripheral wall and has a shape complementary to the latter. This variant makes it possible to limit or even eliminate the influence of the spacers on the flow of air in the diffusion chamber.

According to a characteristic of the invention, each annular baffle comprises a central opening bordered by an annular wall extending to the inner face of the peripheral wall. In a preferred but not exclusive manner, the outer edge of the annular wall is in contact with the inner surface of the peripheral wall. This arrangement limits or even prevents the passage of air between the annular baffle and the peripheral wall so as to reduce operating noise.

According to a variant of this characteristic, the face, said downstream, of the annular wall, oriented towards the adaptation end, of each annular baffle, converges towards the central opening. Thus, the face facing the adaptation end diverges from the central opening to the peripheral wall so as to gradually bend the direction of air flow to reduce the pressure losses and airborne noise. The diverging character should be interpreted as opposed to a flat surface that would extend perpendicular to the Δ axis and the flow of air from the central opening to the peripheral wall. Thus, the face facing the entrance may, for example, have a truncated-pyramidal shape with the apex facing the fitting end.

According to another variant of this characteristic, the face, said downstream, of the annular wall facing the adaptation end of each deflector, is concave. Such a concave shape makes it possible to optimize the progressiveness of the inflection of the air flow so as to reduce the pressure losses as much as possible. By concave, it should be understood that the face facing the adapter end has, in axial cross section, an arcuate shape whose recess is oriented towards the adapter end. Thus, at the central opening, the tangent to the face facing the fitting end may be substantially parallel to the axis Δ, while at the level of the peripheral wall, the tangent to the face facing the adaptation end may be substantially normal to the axis Δ. The concave character of the face facing the fitting end imparts scoop shape and function to the annular baffle.

According to a characteristic of the invention, the radius of curvature of the face, said downstream, oriented towards the end of adaptation of the annular wall of the annular deflectors increases from an annular baffle to the following annular baffle in the direction of flow air from the adapter end. This increase in the radius of curvature makes it possible, in particular, to compensate the pressure losses in the diffusion chamber and to optimize the uniformity of the diffusion.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the outer surface of the peripheral wall has a cylindrical shape of revolution of axis Δ.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the diffusion openings are distributed over the length and the circumference of the peripheral wall. In a preferred but not exclusive manner, the diffusion openings are uniformly distributed on the peripheral wall.

According to the invention, the diffusion openings may have different shapes. Thus, the diffusion openings may have a circular or oval shape. The diffusion openings may also have an elongate or oblong shape oriented parallel or inclined relative to the axis Δ. The diffusion openings may also have a polygonal shape such as triangular or square. It should be noted that the diffusion openings of the same accessory may have all the same shapes and dimensions or, conversely, have different shapes and / or dimensions.

According to yet another characteristic of the invention, the accessory comprises bristles and / or pins extending radially outside the peripheral wall.

The invention also relates to a blower apparatus comprising:
  • a hollow body which is open at a so-called outlet end and which comprises an air inlet,
  • a motor-fan unit disposed in the hollow body between the inlet and the outlet and adapted to suck the air through the inlet and back through the outlet.
According to the invention the hairdressing apparatus comprises an accessory according to the invention, the adaptation end of which is connected to the outlet end of the hollow body.

According to a characteristic of the hairdressing apparatus according to the invention, the accessory is intended to be movable in axial rotation on itself. It is for example driven by a geared motor.

A hairdressing apparatus blowing according to the invention, as illustrated in FIG. figure 1 and designated as a whole by the reference A, comprises an elongate hollow body 1 extending along a longitudinal axis Δ. The hollow body 1 comprises an air inlet 2 located, according to the example shown, at the rear of the body 1. The hollow body 1 also comprises, at its front, an outlet end 3 of the air. The hairdressing apparatus A also comprises a motor-fan unit 4 located between the inlet 2 and the outlet 3, and adapted to suck the air through the inlet 2 and return it through the outlet 3 as shown by the arrows F1 . The motor-fan unit 4 comprises an electric motor 5 whose drive shaft is secured to a propeller or turbine 6. According to the illustrated example, the hairdressing apparatus A also comprises, downstream of the motor-fan unit 4 with respect to the direction F1 of air circulation, electric means 7 for heating the air. The motor-fan unit 4 and the heating means 7 are then controlled by control means 8 accessible from the outside of the apparatus A. The power supply of the hairdressing apparatus A is effected by means of a cord 9 for connection to the electrical network being understood that an apparatus according to the invention may also comprise a battery power supply system.

According to the illustrated example, the body 1 has a generally cylindrical shape adapted to allow grip of the hairstyling apparatus A in a region located, for example, at the level of the motor-fan unit 4.

The embodiment of such a hairdressing apparatus A is well known to those skilled in the art so that it is not necessary to describe it here in more detail.

L'accessoire 20 peut alors être adapté de manière amovible ou non sur l'appareil de coiffure A.The outlet end 3 of the hairdressing apparatus A is further adapted to receive an accessory 20 for a blower apparatus according to the invention. As is apparent in particular from figures 2 and 3 the accessory 20 comprises an elongate diffusion tube 21 of axis Δ. The diffusion tube 21 has an open end 22 adapted to the apparatus of hairstyle A at its outlet end 3. The adapter end 22 of the accessory 20 and the outlet end 3 of the apparatus A are preferably adapted to allow a rotational movement of the accessory on itself around the Δ axis. The accessory 20 can then be removably or non-detachably adapted to the hairdressing apparatus A.

The end 23, opposite to the adapter end 22, of the diffusion tube 21 is at least partly, in the present case completely, closed by, according to the illustrated example, a plug 24 attached to the end 23 The diffusion tube 21 then defines a diffusion chamber 25 which is situated between the ends 22 and 23 and which extends along the axis Δ, presenting, in the present case, a symmetry of revolution with respect to the latter. .

A.The diffusion chamber 25 comprises a peripheral wall 26 which has an outer surface having a cylindrical shape of revolution of axis Δ. The peripheral wall 26 comprises air diffusion openings 27 which provide communication between the external medium and the diffusion chamber 25. The openings 27 are lateral and are distributed along the length and around the diffusion chamber 25. so as to ensure a diffusion as uniform as possible, around the diffusion chamber 25, of the air blown by the hairstyling apparatus A.

The accessory 20 also includes bristles or pins 28 which extend radially outwardly of the peripheral wall 26 of the diffusion chamber 25 so that the accessory 20 forms what is commonly called a cylindrical brush. The pins 28 are in this case aligned in axial rows between which are located axial rows of lateral openings 27.

In order to ensure good diffusion of the air blown by the hairdressing apparatus A through the accessory 20, the latter also comprises deflection means 30 which are disposed inside the diffusion chamber 25 as the shows in particular the figure 3 .

According to the invention, the deflection means 30 comprise at least one annular deflector open at its center. According to the illustrated example, the means of deflection include three annular deflectors 31, 32, 33 open in their center. The outer circumference of each annular baffle 31, 32, 33 is in contact with the peripheral wall 26, thus preventing air from passing between the outer wall of the baffle and the peripheral wall 26 of the diffusion chamber 25. Of course, the deflection means 30 may comprise more or fewer than three annular deflectors.

Each annular baffle 31, 32, 33 comprises a circular central opening 35 which is bordered by an annular wall 36 which extends to the inner face 37 of the peripheral wall 26 as shown in FIG. figure 3 . According to the illustrated example and to ensure immobilization in axial rotation of the annular deflectors 31, 32, 33 in the diffusion chamber 25, the inner face 37 carries axial ribs 38 and the outer edge 39 of each annular wall 36 has notches 40 of a shape complementary to that of the axial ribs 38.

According to the illustrated example, the three annular baffles 31, 32, 33 divide the diffusion chamber 25 into four compartments 41, 42, 43, 44 which each have a length substantially equal. In order to define this length, each annular baffle is connected to the following deflector by at least one, in this case, three spacers 45 arranged at 120 ° from each other. Each spacer 45 is located in contact with the inner face 37 of the peripheral wall 26 and has a shape complementary to the latter. According to the illustrated example, each spacer 45 has a shape of gutter complementary to the shape of each axial rib 38. This form of gutter gives a certain rigidity to the spacers 45 allowing a forced engagement of the deflection means 30 inside the diffusion chamber 25 by the end 23 before introduction of the plug 24. In addition, the first annular baffle 31 also carries three feet 46 of a shape similar to that of the spacers 45. The annular baffle 31 is said first in that it is located downstream of the other baffles with respect to the direction of air circulation. The feet 46 are intended to bear on an inner rim 47 of the diffusion chamber 25 during the introduction of the deflection means 30 in the latter.

According to the illustrated example, the central opening 35, of each annular baffle 31 to 33, has a circular shape. In addition, the passage section S31 of the central opening 35 of the first annular baffle 31 is larger than the passage section S32 of the central opening 35 of the second annular baffle 32 which is itself larger than the bending section. passage S33 of the central opening 35 of the third deflector 33. The annular deflectors 31 to 33 are qualified as first second and third relative to the direction of flow of the air blown by the hairdressing apparatus A as indicated by arrows F1. Thus, the passage section of the central opening 35 of the deflectors 31 to 33 decreases from a deflector to the following deflector in the flow direction F1 of the air from the open end of adaptation 22. In the In view of the circular shape of the central openings 35, this characteristic results in a reduction in the diameter of the central opening 35 of a deflector to the following deflector in the direction of flow F1 of the air from the adaptation end 22. This reduction of the passage sections S31 to S33 guides the flow of air to the outside.

According to the illustrated example, the face 50 of each annular wall 36 facing the matching end 22, also called downstream face 50, converges towards the central opening 35. In the present case, each downstream face 50 presents plus, a concave shape. Here, each downstream face 50 has cross-sectional cross-section as is more particularly apparent from the figure 5 an arcuate shape corresponding to an arc. Furthermore, the radius of curvature R31 of the downstream face 50 of the first annular baffle 31 is smaller than the radius of curvature R32 of the downstream face 50 of the second annular baffle 32 while the radius of curvature R32 of the downstream face 50 of the second baffle Annular 32 itself is smaller than the radius of curvature R33 of the downstream face 50 of the third annular baffle 33. Thus, the radius of curvature of the downstream face of each annular baffle increases from one annular deflector to the other in the direction F1 flow of air from the adapter end 22. This arrangement limits the pressure losses inside the diffusion chamber 25 accompanying the change of direction of the air flow.

Furthermore, according to the illustrated example, the diffusion openings 27 have a circular shape and are arranged in annular rows distributed along the diffusion chamber 25. The centers of the diffusion apertures 27 of the same rank are then located in the same plane perpendicular to the axis Δ and the diffusion apertures of the same rank have the same diameter.

Les ouvertures de diffusion 27 du premier rang Rg1 possèdent un diamètre supérieur à celui des ouvertures de diffusion du deuxième rang Rg2 dont les ouvertures de diffusion 27 possèdent un diamètre supérieur à celui des ouvertures de diffusion du troisième rang Rg3.Moreover, in order to homogenize the outlet of the air flow on each of the diffusion apertures 27, within each compartment 41 to 44, the diameter of the diffusion apertures 27 decreases from one rank to the next, in the flow direction F1 of the air, for the diffusion apertures 27 and the corresponding ranks located in relation to the same compartment. Thus, for the same compartment, the passage section of the diffusion openings 27 decreases from one opening to the other in the direction F1 of air flow. In the present case and as shown in figure 1 , the peripheral wall 26 comprises three rows Rg1, Rg2 and Rg3, diffusion apertures 27 in relation to the first compartment 41. The diffusion openings 27 of the first row Rg1 have a diameter greater than that of the second row of diffusion openings Rg2 whose diffusion openings 27 have a diameter greater than that of the third row of diffusion openings Rg3.

It is the same for the second 42 and third 43 compartments which each have three rows of diffusion openings 27, as well as for the fourth compartment 44 which has two rows of diffusion openings 27.

It should be noted that according to the illustrated example the first rows Rg1 have diffusion openings 27 whose diameter is substantially equal from one compartment to another, it is the same for the second rows and for, the case where appropriate, the third rows Rg3.

According to the embodiment described above in connection with the figures; the diffusion openings have a circular shape. However, according to the invention, the diffusion apertures may have any other shape such as, for example, oblong.

Of course, various other modifications may be made to an accessory for hairdressing apparatus according to the invention within the scope of the appended claims.
