Definitions
- the present invention relates to a grinding device for divided solid materials.
- Ball mills are known for reducing a divided solid material into small pieces or into powder.
- Such a mill comprises for example at least one cylindrical chamber in which are enclosed the material to be milled and balls.
- the assembly is set in motion so as to roll the balls inertia in the chamber so that they crush the material.
- the setting in motion is made for example by a planetary movement conferred to the room.
- the material is batch processed in the application of this mill.
- the invention relates to a continuous grinding device for a divided solid material comprising a chamber extending along a chamber axis, the chamber comprising an inlet orifice for receiving the material to be treated and a outlet orifice for extracting the treated material, and stirring means for imparting to the chamber an oscillatory translation movement in a plane perpendicular to the chamber axis with respect to a base, the device comprising tilting means for adjust the orientation of the assembly formed by the stirring means and the chamber relative to the base by pivoting about an axis oblique or perpendicular to the chamber axis.
- the oscillatory translation movement in the plane perpendicular to the chamber axis makes it possible to move the chamber and its contents by inertia.
- the inclination variation of the chamber axis makes it possible to influence the residence time of the material in the chamber, and thus to control the grinding parameters such as particle size. It is thus possible to obtain a fine particle size by decreasing the inclination without increasing the speed of rotation, and thus keeping a limited power.
- the limitation of the power makes it possible to obtain a separation on the extracellular scale, of much better quality than if the cells are degraded, as is frequently the case with hammer mills.
- the device comprises a ring housed in the chamber and a flyweight passing through a housing of the ring, an outer surface of the ring and the housing having a same axis of revolution.
- the insertion in the cylinder of a ring combined with a feeder increases the surfaces against which material is crushed, namely between the wall of the chamber and the ring, and between the ring and the weight. This results in a greater efficiency of the chamber. Fine granularity is obtained even if the residence time remains moderate.
- the weight and the housing could be cylindrical.
- first spacers are interposed between the chamber and the ring.
- the spacers maintain a spacing between the respective surfaces of the chamber and the ring.
- the first spacers are fixed for example at the periphery of the ring.
- the chamber can remain fixed while the ring is more mobile and can be changed or modified to adjust the spacing according to the treatment to be performed.
- second spacers are interposed between the ring and the flyweight.
- the second spacers are attached to the inside of the ring. The same effect is obtained as with the first spacers, creating a spacing between the housing of the ring and the weight.
- the spacers extend in a helix.
- the propeller can be for example on the ring, in the housing or on the flyweight.
- the housing has variations in diameter, the flyweight being a form of revolution and having the same profile as the housing.
- the variations in diameter of the profile of the weight and its housing make it possible to make the path of the material between the two ends of the ring longer by the housing. This ensures a good efficiency of grinding.
- the profile of the housing and the weight is corrugated. This shape ensures a continuous variation of the profile and allows a good repair of the material between the weight and the ring.
- the profile of the housing and the weight is staggered. This form is easier to perform while remaining effective enough.
- a first diameter of a first end of the weight is greater than a second diameter of its second end opposite the first end. This ensures a great length for the passage of the material through the housing.
- the ratio between the second diameter and the first diameter is greater than 1.5, preferably greater than 2.
- the grinding devices described are intended to be used in a position oriented relative to the vertical. The directions will be indicated relative to this orientation, even if the device could be placed temporarily in another orientation.
- a grinding device represented on the figure 1 , comprises a base 1 on which is mounted a chamber 2 in which a solid M divided material is intended to pass to be crushed continuously.
- the chamber 2 is supported by stirring means 3 which are provided to give the chamber 2 an oscillatory translation movement in a plane perpendicular to the chamber axis A relative to the base 1, in a manner known per se. and not detailed here.
- the grinding device comprises tilting means 4 for adjusting the orientation of the assembly formed by the stirring means 3 and the chamber 2 relative to the base 1. The orientation is adjusted by pivoting about a B axis perpendicular to the chamber axis A and horizontal. Thus, the chamber axis A moves in a vertical plane.
- the chamber 2 is in the form of a container having a cylindrical wall 20, a flat bottom 21 connected to the stirring means 3 and a cover 22, opposite the bottom 21 closing a cavity 23 of the chamber 2.
- the chamber 2 comprises an inlet 24 for receiving the material M to be treated by passing through the cover 22 and an outlet 25 to extract the treated material through the bottom 21.
- These orifices 24, 25 are connected to flexible tubes 5, 6 provided rotating joints if necessary, not shown.
- the bottom 21 is completed by a grid 26 whose openings are calibrated according to the desired size for the material to be recovered after grinding.
- the outlet orifice 25 is situated downstream of the grid 26.
- a ring 8 is housed in the chamber 2 and a feeder 9 passes through a housing 81 of the ring 8.
- the ring 8 and the weight 9 are parts of revolution. They are arranged in the cavity 23 of the chamber 2 with the axes of revolution offset but substantially parallel to the chamber axis A.
- the housing 81 and the weight 9 comprise successive diameter variations per stage and have the same stepped profile, the weight 9 having a diameter much smaller than the housing 81.
- the weight 9 is able to roll in the housing 81 by being in contact with the housing 81 over the entire length of the profile.
- a first end 91 of the weight 9 is located facing the bottom 21 and has a first diameter greater than a second diameter of its second end 92 opposite the first end 91, facing the lid 22.
- the weight 9 has a overall shape of truncated cone whose base 91 is on the side of the bottom 21.
- the inclination of the chamber axis A is adjusted by the inclination means 4.
- the material device M is fed continuously through the inlet orifice 24 and the stirring means 3 are activated. These make the orbits describe in the chamber in a plane perpendicular to the chamber axis A, possibly with a rotation of the chamber 2 about its chamber axis A.
- the ring 8 is pressed against the wall 20 and rolls against it by crushing the material M which has interposed.
- the weight 9 is pressed against the housing 81 and rolls against it by crushing the material M that has interposed.
- the material progresses towards the gate 26 which it crosses after having been crushed if its size is thinner than the orifices of the grid, then towards the outlet orifice 25 and goes out this way.
- the granulometry of the material at the outlet depends, among other things, on the inclination that is set.
- the profile of the housing 81 'and the weight 9' is corrugated.
- the overall shape of the weight 9 ' is also truncated cone whose base is on the side of the bottom 21.
- the ratio between the second diameter and the first diameter is greater than 1.5, preferably greater than 2.
- first spacers 83 are interposed between the chamber 2 "and the ring 8".
- the first spacers 83 are fixed at the periphery of the ring 8.
- the sectors protrude from the periphery of the ring 8 "so that the ring 8" rolls in the chamber 2 while being supported on the first spacers 83 and maintaining a spacing between the chamber 2 and the ring 8 ", by example 0.005 mm to a few centimeters.
- second spacers 84 are interposed between the ring 8 "and the weight 9" which has a cylindrical shape.
- the second spacers 84 are fixed inside the ring 8 "in the housing 81" according to the same technique as the first spacers 83.
- the bottom 21 is completed by a gate 26 whose openings are calibrated according to the spacing defined by the spacers 83, 84.
- the outlet 25" is located downstream of the grid 26.
- the spacers 83, 84 and the chamber 2 "or the weight 9" can be crushed finely, the essential part of the material remains in the spacings created by the spacers 83, 84 and retain therefore a grain size calibrated by these spacings.
- the spacers are removable, they can be changed and thus adjust the spacing they define, depending on the operation that is desired.
- the spacers 83 "', 84"' extend along helices arranged respectively on the peripheral surface of the ring 8 '"and in the housing 81"'.
- the base of the truncated cones may be arranged on the side of the lid.
- Interlayers can be obtained directly by machining the ring, or by other means of attachment such as by welding, brazing or forced fitting.
