Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a double layer wall system, a prof ile element for a double layer wall system, a set for preparing a double layer wall system and a method for preparing a wall system and/or prof ile element.
  • Document WO 2008/087009 A1 describes a profile element being used for the construction of , e.g. light weight partition walls.
  • One wall section is fastened to a first f lange of the prof ile element and the other fastened to a second f lange of the prof ile element .
  • a "double layer" wall is a wall with two layers of wall sections, (e.g. plasterboards) being arranged on top of each other (in contact with each other) . Such double layer walls enhance the stability of the
  • Known prof ile elements are (e.g. vertically oriented) supporting components (studs) which absorb and transmit forces (mainly) in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
  • Typical prof ile elements have a C- or U-shape comprising two f lange sections which are connected by a web.
  • Wall sections, e.g. gypsum plasterboards are usually f ixed to the flange regions (screwed, riveted, nailed or fastened by some other means) .
  • I t is an obj ect of the present invention to propose a double layer wall system with a high degree of stability and a comparatively low thickness. Moreover, it is an obj ect of the present invention to provide a corresponding prof ile element , a set comprising a prof ile element and at least one wall section and a production method for producing a double layer wall system and/or prof ile element .
  • a double layer wall system particularly comprises at least one profile element having at least one first fastening surface and at least one second fastening surface, wherein an offset is provided between the f irst and second fastening surfaces, at least one first wall section , in particular first plasterboard, being fastened to the f irst fastening surface, and at least one second wall section , in particular at least one second plasterboard, being fastening to the second fastening surface, wherein the f irst and second wall sections are arranged on top of each other.

  • the distance of the first wall section and the second wall section shall be preferably less than 4 mm, further preferably less than 2 mm, further preferably less than 1 mm .
  • the offset is preferably between 5 mm and 30 mm, further preferably between 8 mm and 1 8 mm, further preferably between 1 2.5 mm and 1 5 mm.
  • a core idea of the invention is a prof ile element with two fastening surfaces so that two wall sections can be (each) fastened to the profile element so that the wall sections are arranged on top of each other in order to form a double layer. Since each wall section is fastened (directly) to the profile element , the stability is improved. At the same time, the thickness of the double layer wall system can be decreased.
  • any of the above (and below) mentioned fastening surfaces is/ are planar. Thereby, it is very easy to f ix a wall section to the prof ile element.
  • Two of the above (or below) mentioned fastening surfaces may be (structurally) separated, in particular by a step and/or a further surface having an angle of 45 ° to 1 35 ° (e.g. 90 °) with respect to one and/or the other (adj acent) fastening surfaces.
  • the profile element comprises at least a third fastening surface, which is preferably parallel , in particular flush-aligned with the second fastening surface.
  • a third wall section (in particular plasterboard) may be fastened to the third fastening surface.
  • Second and third wall sections may be parallel , in particular f lush-aligned, preferably such that the second wall section , the third wall section and the first fastening surface form a continuing (planar) surface.
  • the third fastening surface simplifies a fastening of a third wall section so that a continuing double layer wall can be prepared. I t is in particular possible that on both sides of the profile element respective wall sections (the second and third wall section) can be fastened so that the double layer structure continues through the prof ile element.

  • the fourth wall section and the f ifth and/or sixth fastening surfaces are arranged on top of each other.
  • a cavity is formed between the second and/or third fastening surface on the one hand and the fourth and/or f ifth and/or sixth fastening surface on the other hand.
  • the second and/or third and/or fifth and/or sixth fastening surface may be located on an inner side of the first and/or fourth fastening surface.
  • the second and/or third and/or f ifth and/or sixth fastening surfaces are located in a cavity formed by the f irst and fourth fastening surface.
  • a thickness of the second and/or third fastening surface corresponds preferably with the f irst offset .
  • a thickness of the f ifth and/or sixth fastening surface may correspond with the second offset .
  • “correspond” shall preferably mean that the parameters (thickness on the one hand and offset on the other) are of an equal amount. However, it is possible that a difference of the thickness minus the offset is 1 0% or less of the amount of the thickness. I n any case, a compact and rigid double layer wall system can be obtained.
  • At least a portion of the prof ile element may have a hat-shape ( in cross-section) .
  • a "hat-shape” preferably means a structure with a central surface, two
  • the hat-shape portion is an integral body.
  • the hat-shape portion is an overlay which may be fastened to a (conventional) C-prof ile.
  • the prof ile element may comprise or consist of an overlay which may be connected or fastened to a (conventional) prof ile element (C- , U- or l -profile element) .
  • the profile element consists of an integral body.
  • the prof ile element is made of one piece (e.g. made of one metal sheet) .
  • the prof ile element may be formed by two or more parts.
  • I f the profile element is an integral body, it is very simple to produce a prof ile element with a high degree of stability.
  • I f the prof ile element consists of two (or more) parts, it is preferred to have one or two hat-shaped overlays and an intermediate C-, U- , or l -prof ile element , in particular connecting the hat- shaped prof ile elements.
  • Such a system is very variable. Moreover, an already consisting system can easily be upgraded.
  • the (at least one) first and/or second and/or third and/or fourth and/or f ifth and/or sixth fastening surface are parallel to each other and/or planar.
  • a profile element (preferably for the above-described system and/or as part of the above-described system) is proposed, for supporting at least one wall partition, in particular at least one dry wall plasterboard partition, comprising a web, a f irst f lange, a first fastening surface, at least a second and/or third fastening surface, wherein an offset is provided between the first fastening surface and the second and/or third fastening surface, and a second f lange as fourth fastening surface.
  • Such profile element allows the preparation of a thin and stable double layer wall system .

  • the third fastening surface may be provided at a distal end of the f irst f lange.
  • a f ifth fastening surface may be provided on the web.
  • a sixth fastening surface may be provided at a distal end of a second flange.
  • Such measures f urther improve the stability of a double layer wall system without (substantially) increasing the thickness of the double layer wall system.
  • the second and/or third and/or fifth and/or sixth fastening surface may be planar.
  • the second and/or third and/or fifth and/or sixth fastening surface may be parallel to the first flange and/or may be parallel to the second f lange and/or may be perpendicular to the web.
