Definitions
- the invention relates to a separating container for a vacuum cleaner, in particular cyclone vacuum cleaner, with a separation chamber and a receiving space separated structurally thereof, wherein the separation chamber and the receiving space are fluidly connected to one another through an ejection opening.
- Such separation containers are known from the prior art. This is usually a vacuum cleaner component, which combines the functionality of a separator with the functionality of a receiving container for separated particles.
- a separating container in the sense of the invention is preferably a component which can be handled as a unit.
- the separating vessel can also be formed in two parts, wherein a receiving container for separated particles is independent of the separator of a vacuum cleaner manageable.
- the separation chamber of a generic separation tank has a supply air duct and an exhaust air duct. Exhaust air duct side, for example, with the help of a blower generates a negative pressure, which leads to air being sucked through the supply air duct.
- the supply air duct is connected for example to a floor nozzle of a vacuum cleaner, so that dust particles to be collected by the supply air duct are conveyed into the separation tank.
- the separator providing the separation chamber is often designed as a cyclone separator.
- the air flowing in through the supply air is accelerated along a spiral path so that dust particles contained in the air flow impinge against the wall of the separation chamber and / or are spun on reaching the discharge opening due to the centrifugal force in the direction of the receiving space.
- the air flowing through the separating vessel then leaves the same through the exhaust air duct.
- the separation chamber and the receiving space are additionally fluidly connected by a return flow region, wherein in the return flow region, a plurality of flow openings is arranged, whose flow cross section is in each case smaller than the flow cross section of the discharge opening.
- the flow guidance between the receiving space and the separating space is realized differently than in known separating vessels.
- a fluidic connection between the separation chamber and the receiving space is provided exclusively by the ejection opening.
- the invention provides an additional fluidic connection, namely the return flow region.
- the return flow region is characterized in that it has a large number of small flow openings, which are in particular significantly smaller than the discharge opening.
- the flow openings may be arranged in a regular pattern.
- the flow openings in the return flow region can be formed by bores.
- the return flow region may be spaced from the ejection opening.
- the return flow area ensures that the flow within the separation vessel can be better channeled in the event of pressure fluctuations. If, for example, there is a sudden negative pressure in the supply air duct (sucking on a carpet), a flow impulse from the receiving space back into the separation space occurs. While this flow can only take place through the ejection opening in the known separation vessels, the separation vessel according to the invention with the return flow region offers an additional flow path for air flowing back. As a result, together with the arrangement of flow openings acting there as a kind of filter, a backflow of particles from the receiving space into the separation space can be effectively prevented.
- the inventive design of the return flow region with a multiplicity of flow openings leads in particular to the fact that particles such as animal hair are prevented by the pattern of flow openings from flowing back into the separation space and thus remaining in the receiving space.
- the return flow region is preferably arranged at a location between the receiving space and the separation chamber, which is not flowed around by the incoming air flowing through the supply air duct during normal operation of the vacuum cleaner. For example, it is advisable to connect the return flow region in the flow direction of the discharge opening.
- Direction of flow here means the way of coming from the supply air duct, the separator according to the purpose flowing air. This air flow is conducted from the separation chamber through the discharge opening to the outside in the receiving space, so that in this flow direction located behind the discharge opening remindstrom Jardin has no relevance in terms of separation efficiency.
- the separation vessel according to the invention at least the same separation performance as with known separation vessels can be achieved with a simultaneous prevention of a return transport of particles into the separation chamber at pressure fluctuations.
- the return flow region can be formed in a wall separating the separation chamber from the receiving space. This may be the side wall forming the separator itself, the inner surface of which flows around during normal operation of the guided through the separation vessel air.
- This design has the advantage that no additional components are required for the return flow region, but rather the return flow region can be provided by comparatively moderate interventions in the construction in a known separation vessel.
- a filter is arranged in the receiving space.
- the filter may be in the form of a filter frame.
- the filter can be arranged starting from the separation chamber below the return flow region. It may in particular be arranged directly below the return flow region.
- the filter and the wall providing the return flow region can connect to one another in a fluid-tight manner, so that the air passing through the return flow region must forcibly also pass through the filter.
- the filter, in particular the filter frame can be arranged interchangeable in the separation vessel.
- the filter may be formed of plastic.
- the filter may have a mesh size which is smaller than the diameter of the flow openings of the return flow region. It has been found that a mesh size of 500 microns is particularly suitable.
- the filter may also be arranged spaced from the separation chamber in the receiving space. This variant makes it possible for particles to pass unhindered from the separation chamber into the receiving space, but in the case of a backflow, these particles pass through the filter, get stuck there and thus do not get back into the separation space.
- a louver is arranged in the receiving space.
- This air guiding device can be arranged such that an air flow from the separating chamber in the direction of the receiving space does not obstruct or only insignificantly obstruct, but in the return flow direction ensures a deflection of the flow away from the ejection opening.
- the louver may serve as a kind of barb with respect to the flow. In this way, the separation efficiency of the separation vessel can be further increased and in particular prevent backflow of particles into the separation chamber.
- the separation chamber on a supply air duct and an exhaust duct wherein the return flow region directly connects the receiving space with the exhaust duct fluidly.
- the return flow region in particular represents a bypass of any prefilter provided between the separation chamber and the exhaust air duct.
- the return flow region at this point is particularly effective, since the pressure fluctuations normally occurring during operation of a vacuum cleaner are such that the pressure in the exhaust air duct is always lowest. In the case of a possible backflow, the air is thus sucked primarily through the return flow region directly into the exhaust air duct, wherein the formation of the return flow region with its multiplicity of flow openings ensures that no particles pass from the receiving space into the exhaust air duct.
- the separation behavior of the separation vessel further improves with this development, wherein in particular clogging of the prefilter can be significantly reduced.
- FIGS. 1 to 5 show a first embodiment of a separation vessel according to the invention 1. Unless otherwise stated, this separation vessel 1 will be described below with reference to all five figures.
- the separation vessel 1 has a cyclone separator which provides a separation chamber 2.
- the separation chamber 2 is bounded by the inner surface of an outer wall 7 and the outer surface of a coaxially arranged in the separation chamber 2 exhaust duct 9.
- the separator or the separation chamber 2 has an ejection opening 3. Air can flow from the separation chamber 2 into a receiving space 4 through the discharge opening 3.
- the receiving space 4 is used for collecting separated particles.
- the separator or the separation chamber 2 and the receiving space 4 together form the separation vessel 1 and in particular a coherent, as a unit manageable component.
- a blower of a vacuum cleaner generates a negative pressure.
- the exhaust duct 9 is connected to this vacuum source or pressure sink. In this way, 9 air from the interior of the separation vessel 1 is sucked through the exhaust duct. This air is sucked through a supply air duct 8 in the separation vessel 1.
- the supply air duct 8 is fluidically connected, for example, with the floor nozzle of a vacuum cleaner.
- the supply air duct 8 connects substantially tangentially to the wall 7 of the separation chamber 2. In this way, a cyclone vortex, whereby the air sucked through the supply air duct 8 flows helically and spirally through the separation chamber 2 in the direction of the discharge opening 3.
- the cyclone vortex is formed (in Fig. 3 marked as flow direction 11). The entrained in the air particles are thereby pressed against the wall 7 and finally deposited on the discharge opening 3 in the receiving space 4.
- the exhaust duct 9 may have a pre-filter 14.
- the discharged through the exhaust duct 9 air can also be passed through a not shown downstream fine filter.
- the receiving space 4 may be formed fluidically closed except for the fluidic connection with the separation chamber 2.
- the separation vessel 1 has a so-called backflow region 5.
- this return flow region 5 a plurality of small flow openings 6 is provided. Each of these flow openings 6 has a significantly smaller cross-section than the discharge opening 3.
- the return flow region 5 causes air flowing into the receiving space 4 through the discharge opening 3 to leave the same through the return flow area 5.
- the main advantage of this return flow region 5 is that any particles transported by the air flowing through the receiving space 4, in particular hair and the like, are prevented from passing back into the separation space 2 by the pattern of flow openings 6. Due to the structure of the backflow region 5, which can also be referred to as a hole structure, for example, fibers remain suspended and no longer return to the separation chamber 2.
- the return flow region 5 is connected downstream in the flow direction 11 of the discharge opening. This has the advantage that the intended separation of particles in the separation chamber 2 is not impaired by the return flow region 5.
- the air flowing through the separating space 2 rather “pushes" in the direction of the receiving space 4.
- the inventive reflux region 5 can be used with surprisingly simple means to achieve a significantly improved flow guidance and thus a markedly improved separation result and good results Preventing a backflow of particles from the receiving space 4 in the separation chamber 2 reach. This is also advantageous insofar as particles flowing back into the separation chamber 2 are the pre-filter 14 Add quickly and thus would require a frequent cleaning. The operating time between two cleaning cycles can be significantly extended with the embodiment of the invention.
- the embodiment according to the FIGS. 1 to 5 further includes a filter 10, which, however, does not necessarily have to be provided.
- the filter 10 is in the present case designed as a filter frame.
- the filter 10 is arranged directly below the return flow region 5, so that air flowing back into the separation chamber 2 from the receiving space 4 has to pass through both the filter 10 and the return flow region 5.
- the filter 10 is formed here interchangeable. It is a plastic component. It has a preferably made of plastic fabric with a mesh size of preferably 500 microns. The mesh size of the plastic fabric is preferably smaller than the width of the flow openings 6. In this way, smaller particles / fibers can be retained by the filter 10.
- the filter 10 may be formed in particular double-walled.
- FIG. 3 drawn arrows symbolize the flow path within a separation vessel according to the invention 1.
- From the cyclone vortex with the flow direction 11 results in reaching the discharge opening 3, an air flow into the receiving space 4.
- the air is passed counterclockwise through the receiving space 4, then passes through the optionally provided filter 10 and then passes as backflow 12 the return flow region 5.
- FIG. 6 discloses a second embodiment of a separation tank according to the invention 13.
- the peculiarity of the separation vessel 13 consists in the fact that the return flow region 5 is formed exclusively or at least also directly between the exhaust air duct 9 and the receiving space 4. This means that the air flowing back without having to pass through the supply air duct 8 again is guided directly into the exhaust air duct 9 of the separation chamber 2.
- the flow guide works in particular because the negative pressure in the region of the exhaust air duct 8 is higher and thus a direction of the flow takes place. It is particularly advantageous if the filter 10 is provided. As a result, fine particles can be retained as described above.
- the filter cloth of the filter 10 may be disposed obliquely, as in FIG FIG. 6 shown. In this way, the inflow area can be increased and adhering particles can be solved by gravity again by itself from the inflow area.
- FIG. 7 shows a third embodiment of a separation tank 15 according to the invention with the first two embodiments common parts are designated by the same reference numerals.
- the separating vessel 15 is characterized in that, in addition to the return flow region 5, it has a filter 10, which is arranged at a distance from the wall 7 of the separating space 2.
- the filter 10 is also not disposed below the return flow region 5 and / or in fluid communication with the return flow region 5, but rather below the discharge opening 3 of the separation chamber 2.
- louvers 16, 17 are provided, which support a proper flow in the flow direction 18.
- the filter 10 may also be formed as a filter frame.
- the filter 10 may be arranged interchangeable in the receiving space 4.
- the functional principle of the filter 10 essentially corresponds to the first two embodiments, but the ejection opening 19 is formed by a component which can be exchanged together with the filter 10. According to this variant, a very definite and compact ejection region is created, wherein the filter 10 can be used as an additional return flow region through the filter 10 and the arrangement of the ejection opening 19 shown.

Description
The invention relates to a separating container for a vacuum cleaner, in particular cyclone vacuum cleaner, with a separation chamber and a receiving space separated structurally thereof, wherein the separation chamber and the receiving space are fluidly connected to one another through an ejection opening.
Such separation containers are known from the prior art. This is usually a vacuum cleaner component, which combines the functionality of a separator with the functionality of a receiving container for separated particles. A separating container in the sense of the invention is preferably a component which can be handled as a unit. However, the separating vessel can also be formed in two parts, wherein a receiving container for separated particles is independent of the separator of a vacuum cleaner manageable.
The separation chamber of a generic separation tank has a supply air duct and an exhaust air duct. Exhaust air duct side, for example, with the help of a blower generates a negative pressure, which leads to air being sucked through the supply air duct. The supply air duct is connected for example to a floor nozzle of a vacuum cleaner, so that dust particles to be collected by the supply air duct are conveyed into the separation tank. The separator providing the separation chamber is often designed as a cyclone separator. In this case, it is provided that the air flowing in through the supply air is accelerated along a spiral path so that dust particles contained in the air flow impinge against the wall of the separation chamber and / or are spun on reaching the discharge opening due to the centrifugal force in the direction of the receiving space. The air flowing through the separating vessel then leaves the same through the exhaust air duct.
The challenge with generic separation containers is now to completely separate the dust particles contained in the air, to collect in the receiving space and if possible not to promote with a return flow back into the separation chamber. The latter problem occurs increasingly with pressure pulses, for example when the floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner moves from a first type of soil to a second type of soil.
Starting from this prior art, it is the object of the present invention to improve the separation efficiency of a generic separation vessel, in particular to prevent a backflow of already deposited particles into the separation space in the case of pressure pulses or flow changes.
To solve the invention proposes that the separation chamber and the receiving space are additionally fluidly connected by a return flow region, wherein in the return flow region, a plurality of flow openings is arranged, whose flow cross section is in each case smaller than the flow cross section of the discharge opening.
According to the invention, it is thus provided that the flow guidance between the receiving space and the separating space is realized differently than in known separating vessels. In separation vessels known from the prior art, a fluidic connection between the separation chamber and the receiving space is provided exclusively by the ejection opening. In contrast, the invention provides an additional fluidic connection, namely the return flow region. The return flow region is characterized in that it has a large number of small flow openings, which are in particular significantly smaller than the discharge opening. The flow openings may be arranged in a regular pattern. The flow openings in the return flow region can be formed by bores. The return flow region may be spaced from the ejection opening.
The return flow area ensures that the flow within the separation vessel can be better channeled in the event of pressure fluctuations. The inventive design of the return flow region with a multiplicity of flow openings leads in particular to the fact that particles such as animal hair are prevented by the pattern of flow openings from flowing back into the separation space and thus remaining in the receiving space.
The return flow region is preferably arranged at a location between the receiving space and the separation chamber, which is not flowed around by the incoming air flowing through the supply air duct during normal operation of the vacuum cleaner. For example, it is advisable to connect the return flow region in the flow direction of the discharge opening. Direction of flow here means the way of coming from the supply air duct, the separator according to the purpose flowing air. This air flow is conducted from the separation chamber through the discharge opening to the outside in the receiving space, so that in this flow direction located behind the discharge opening Rückstrombereich has no relevance in terms of separation efficiency. In this way, with the separation vessel according to the invention at least the same separation performance as with known separation vessels can be achieved with a simultaneous prevention of a return transport of particles into the separation chamber at pressure fluctuations.
The return flow region can be formed in a wall separating the separation chamber from the receiving space. This may be the side wall forming the separator itself, the inner surface of which flows around during normal operation of the guided through the separation vessel air. This design has the advantage that no additional components are required for the return flow region, but rather the return flow region can be provided by comparatively moderate interventions in the construction in a known separation vessel.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a filter is arranged in the receiving space. The filter may be in the form of a filter frame. The filter can be arranged starting from the separation chamber below the return flow region. It may in particular be arranged directly below the return flow region. The filter and the wall providing the return flow region can connect to one another in a fluid-tight manner, so that the air passing through the return flow region must forcibly also pass through the filter. The filter, in particular the filter frame can be arranged interchangeable in the separation vessel. The filter may be formed of plastic. The filter may have a mesh size which is smaller than the diameter of the flow openings of the return flow region. It has been found that a mesh size of 500 microns is particularly suitable. The filter may also be arranged spaced from the separation chamber in the receiving space. This variant makes it possible for particles to pass unhindered from the separation chamber into the receiving space, but in the case of a backflow, these particles pass through the filter, get stuck there and thus do not get back into the separation space.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a louver is arranged in the receiving space. This air guiding device can be arranged such that an air flow from the separating chamber in the direction of the receiving space does not obstruct or only insignificantly obstruct, but in the return flow direction ensures a deflection of the flow away from the ejection opening. The louver may serve as a kind of barb with respect to the flow. In this way, the separation efficiency of the separation vessel can be further increased and in particular prevent backflow of particles into the separation chamber.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the separation chamber on a supply air duct and an exhaust duct, wherein the return flow region directly connects the receiving space with the exhaust duct fluidly. The return flow region in particular represents a bypass of any prefilter provided between the separation chamber and the exhaust air duct. The return flow region at this point is particularly effective, since the pressure fluctuations normally occurring during operation of a vacuum cleaner are such that the pressure in the exhaust air duct is always lowest. In the case of a possible backflow, the air is thus sucked primarily through the return flow region directly into the exhaust air duct, wherein the formation of the return flow region with its multiplicity of flow openings ensures that no particles pass from the receiving space into the exhaust air duct. In this respect, the separation behavior of the separation vessel further improves with this development, wherein in particular clogging of the prefilter can be significantly reduced.

The
During operation of the separating
This cyclone vortex does not continue into the receiving
However, a certain residual amount of air also flows into the receiving
The

The separating
The
