Description

A COOKER COMPRISING A BURNER HOUSING
  • The present invention relates to a cooker comprising a burner housing.
  • In cookers, the burner housings wherein the burners are positioned are shaped so as to form recesses on the cooker surface. The burner is placed into the burner housing. Producing the burner housing separately from the burner plate provides flexibility in terms of material choice and ease of production. However, it is difficult to join the burner housing and the burner plate rigidly.
  • In the state of the art German Patent Application No. DE000002211961, a heating element is disclosed, that is situated at the underside of the burner plate surface.
  • The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooker comprising a burner housing that provides ease of utilization.
  • The cooker realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a burner housing that is fixed to the burner plate by seating the rim thereof to the lower surface of the burner plate all around the edge of the opening so that the base and the lateral side wall thereof that surrounds the base remain under the flange of the burner plate. Thus, leaks between the burner plate and the burner housing are prevented during cooking, cleaning, etc. and liquids, etc. are prevented from leaking below the burner plate.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the burner housing comprises an intermediate rim whereon the flange is seated. The intermediate rim prevents the user from touching the sharp part of the flange when touching the region where the burner housing and the burner plate are joined.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the angle between the rim of the burner housing extending from the intermediate rim towards the burner plate and the horizontal plane of the burner plate is smaller than the angle between the flange of the burner plate and the horizontal plane of the burner plate. Thus, the burner housing is concentrically placed to the circular opening arranged on the burner plate.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the angle between the rim of the burner housing extending from the intermediate rim towards the burner plate and the horizontal plane of the burner plate is smaller than the angle between the flange of the burner plate and the horizontal plane of the burner plate. Thus, the burner housing is placed to the burner plate so as to be concentric with the circular opening.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the burner housing comprises a circular support line whereon the part of the burner plate extending parallel to the floor is seated. The burner housing contacts the lower surface of the burner plate along the support line. The grill is placed onto the burner plate in alignment with the support line.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the burner housing surrounding the lateral wall comprises an extension that extends in the radial direction from the burner housing outwards so that a distance remains between the burner plate and the extension. By means of the fixing member placed between the extension and the burner plate, the burner housing is fixed to the burner plate.
  • By means of the present invention, a cooker is realized, comprising a burner housing that provides ease of utilization. The burner housing is placed so that the base and the lateral wall thereof remain under the flange. By means of the flange, the burner plate is seated onto the burner housing so that no gap remains therebetween. Thus, liquids are prevented from leaking between the burner plate and the burner housing towards the underside of the burner plate during cooking, cleaning, etc. Moreover, the rim of the burner housing whereon the flange is seated prevents the user from touching the sharp edge of the flange during cleaning, etc., thus preventing injuries.
  • A cooker realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
Figure 1. is the perspective view of a cooker.
Figure 2. is the perspective view of the burner housing and the burner plate in an embodiment of the present invention.
