The invention relates to an assembly of fagade cladding elements which, when applied to a fagade, have a repeatedly recurring pattern which forms a sequence of troughs and crests, the assembly comprising :
- at least one base fagade cladding element which is provided with a first longitudinal side to which is applied a first fagade attachment means, and with a second longitudinal side, and the pattern of which has a pattern length,
- a starting fagade cladding element which is provided with a third longitudinal side and a fourth longitudinal side, wherein the third longitudinal side is provided with a second fagade attachment means and wherein the fourth longitudinal side is provided with a third fagade attachment means, wherein a covering cap is applied to the fourth longitudinal side, and
an end fagade cladding element which is provided with a fifth longitudinal side and a sixth longitudinal side, wherein a fourth fagade attachment means and a covering cap are applied to the fifth longitudinal side.
Such an assembly of fagade cladding elements is known from EP-S 0 687 338. In this known assembly the continuing pattern is formed by a sine. In order to connect two successive base fagade cladding elements to each other the first fagade attachment means, which comprises a gutter board which is applied below a trough of the pattern, are applied to the first longitudinal side. In addition, below the pattern, at a distance from the second longitudinal side, a clip is applied under a trough of the pattern. When joined to a second fagade cladding element a projection, applied to the second longitudinal side in line with the trough, of a first fagade cladding element is shifted into the gutter board of the first fagade cladding element and a further clip, which forms part of the first fagade attachment means, is snapped into the clip of the second fagade cladding element. A drawback of the known assembly of fagade cladding elements is that it provides little flexibility since play is scarcely possible when two successive fagade cladding elements are joined to each other. In buildings numerous variations are possible for the fagade and the known assembly of fagade cladding elements does not provide an adequate response to a large number of these variations.
The object of the invention is to provide an assembly of fagade cladding elements with which numerous variations in fagade construction can be clad.
An assembly of fagade cladding elements according to the invention is thus characterized in that :
- for the coupling between a base fagade cladding element and an adjacent fagade cladding element, the second longitudinal side of the base fagade cladding element is provided with a first tooth, which first tooth has a length of between 6 % and 30 %, in particular between 9 % and 25 %, of the length of the pattern, which first tooth is situated transversely to the second longitudinal side, and wherein the first longitudinal side forms part of a first extension piece which continues the pattern there and comprises the first fagade attachment means, which first extension piece is provided with a first gutter board which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth, and wherein the first gutter board and the first tooth are formed and applied in such a way that they can be shifted one into the other;
- for the coupling between a base fagade cladding element and the start fagade cladding element, the third longitudinal side forms part of a second extension piece which continues the pattern and comprises the second fagade attachment means, which second extension piece is provided with a second gutter board which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth, and wherein the second gutter board is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth can be shifted in and out the second gutter board; - for the coupling between a base facade cladding element and the end fagade cladding element, the sixth longitudinal side is provided with a second tooth, which second tooth has a length of between 6 % and 30 %, in particular between 9 % and 25 %, of the length of the pattern, which second tooth is situated transversely on the sixth longitudinal side, and wherein the fifth longitudinal side is provided with a third extension piece which continues the pattern there at a distance of at most half of the length of the pattern, and wherein the fourth fagade attachment means is applied to the third extension piece.
By making use of a tooth and gutter board connection in which the gutter board is situated in line with the pattern and the tooth is situated transversely on the second longitudinal side, a shit of the tooth into the gutter board is possible which is in alignment with the repeatedly recurring pattern. Since the gutter board has, in addition, a depth which is at least equal to the length of the tooth, the tooth can shift over substantially the entire depth of the gutter board, as a result of which an adjustment becomes possible in accordance with the length of the fagade to be clad. As a result, an assembly is thus made possible which can be applied to numerous variations of fagades.
A first preferred embodiment of an assembly of fagade cladding elements according to the invention is characterised in that the start fagade cladding element comprises a fourth extension piece which continues the pattern there with a distance of at least half of the length of the pattern, which fourth extension piece comprises the third fagade attachment means, which assembly is further provided with a first recess which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and in the fourth extension piece adjacent to the third fagade attachment means is applied in line with the trough of the pattern and extends towards the fourth longitudinal side. As a result, the start fagade cladding element can also be used as a component of a filling fagade cladding element.
A second preferred embodiment of an assembly of fagade cladding elements according to the invention is characterised in that it further comprises at least one filling facade cladding element which is provided with a seventh and an eighth longitudinal side to which seventh longitudinal side a fifth fagade attachment means is applied and to which eighth longitudinal side a fifth extension piece is applied which continues the pattern there with a distance of at most half of the length of the pattern and wherein a sixth fagade attachment means is applied to the fifth extension piece, which sixth fagade attachment means is provided with a second recess which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and is applied adjacent to the fifth fagade attachment means in line with the trough of the pattern and extends towards the eighth longitudinal side, wherein the second recess is formed in such a way that the third extension piece is to be applied in a manner capable of being shifted therein, the seventh longitudinal side forms part of a sixth extension piece which continues the pattern there and comprises the fifth fagade attachment means, which sixth extension piece is provided with a third gutter board which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth, and wherein the third gutter board is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth is capable of being shifted in and out. The use of filling fagade cladding elements which are also equipped with the same tooth-and-gutter board connection affords the advantage of working with base measures for the base fagade cladding elements on the one hand and of working with filling fagade cladding elements which can compensate if the length of the fagade is not a multiple of the standard measure on the other hand.
A third preferred embodiment of an assembly of fagade cladding elements according to the invention is characterised in that it further comprises at least one corner fagade cladding element which is provided with a first corner limb which comprises a ninth longitudinal side and a second corner limb which comprises a tenth longitudinal side, wherein the ninth longitudinal side is provided with a sixth fagade attachment means which is covered by a covering cap, and wherein the tenth longitudinal side is provided with a seventh fagade attachment means, and wherein for the coupling between the end facade cladding element and the adjacent corner facade cladding element the ninth longitudinal side is provided with a third recess which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and is applied at the sixth facade attachment means in line with the trough of the pattern and extends towards the ninth longitudinal side, wherein the third recess is formed in such a way that the third extension piece can be applied in a manner capable of being shifted therein, and wherein the tenth longitudinal side forms part of a seventh extension piece which continues the pattern and comprises the seventh facade attachment means, which seventh extension piece is provided with a fourth gutter board which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth, and wherein the fourth gutter board is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth is capable of being shifted in and out. As a result, it is further possible, in the event that the facade to be clad has a corner, for the cladding to continue beyond the corner.
A fourth preferred embodiment of an assembly of facade cladding elements according to the invention is characterised in that the first, second, fifth and seventh facade attachment means is formed by the juxtaposition of the gutter board and a U-shaped profile, wherein the gutter board is applied at a right angle to a limb of the U-shaped profile. The U shape is advantageous for carrying a screw or a pin which is then fastened in the facade and, in addition, it provides a basis for forming the gutter board.
It is advantageous for it to comprise at least a first and a second opening connection profile which is capable of being applied in an opening in the, facade, and wherein the first or the second opening connection profile respectively is formed in each case by a masking part to mask a break in the pattern at the level of the opening. As a result, a break in the pattern can be masked, if necessary by the presence of the opening. The invention also relates to a method of attaching an assembly in which the distance of the facade to be clad is measured and is then divided by the length of the pattern, and if a whole number and a fraction of a whole number occur during this division, this fraction is distributed over the distance by moving the tooth into the gutter board.
The invention will now be described in greater detail with reference to the drawing, in which embodiments of assemblies of facade cladding elements according to the invention are illustrated. In the drawing :

In the drawing the same or a similar element is designated with the same reference number.
Fig. 1 shows a fagade 1 provided with a first embodiment of fagade cladding elements according to the invention. The fagade cladding elements can be applied either over the entire fagade or over part of the fagade, in accordance with the wishes of the owner. The facade cladding is of course interrupted at the level of an opening for a window or a door.
Fig. 2 shows a sequence of base facade cladding elements 2. Each base facade cladding element 2 is provided with a first longitudinal side 3, to which a first facade attachment means 4 is applied, and with a second longitudinal side 5. The base facade cladding element has a repeatedly recurring pattern which forms a sequence of troughs (d) and crests (t) and the pattern of which has a pattern length (pi). In Fig. 2 the pattern is formed by a square wave, but it will be evident that the invention is not restricted to patterns in the form of square waves and that other patterns are possible such as sinusoidal waves, serrations, comb shapes etc. In addition, the invention is not restricted to symmetrical patterns and asymmetrical patterns are also possible, as for example shown in fig. 13.
The second longitudinal side 5 of the base facade cladding element 2 is provided with a first tooth 6, which first tooth has a length of between 6 % and 30 %, in particular between 9 % and 25 %, of the pattern length pi. The first tooth is situated transversely on the second longitudinal side and preferably has an obliquely sloping head portion. For a pattern length of for example pi = 60 mm or of pi = 90 mm the first tooth will have a length of 8.2 mm. In addition, a tooth length of 8.2 mm can be chosen for a pattern length of pi = 33 mm. It is also possible of course for a dimension other than 8.2 mm to be chosen for the tooth length.
The first longitudinal side 3 forms part of a first extension piece 7 which continues the pattern there. As indicated in fig. 2, the trough of the pattern extends at the level of the first longitudinal side 3 as it were further than indicated by the pattern length in order to get under a crest of an adjacent base facade cladding element in this way. The first extension piece 7 comprises a first facade attachment means 4 which is provided with a first gutter board 8. The first gutter board has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth. The first gutter board 8 and the first tooth 6 are formed and applied in such a way that they are capable of being shifted one into and out of the other. The shift into and out of each other is facilitated by the obliquely sloping head portion of the first tooth.
The first facade attachment means 4 is preferably formed by the juxtaposition of the gutter board 8 and a U-shaped profile, in which case the gutter board is applied perpendicularly to a limb of the U-shaped profile. A screw 9 or a pin or another anchoring means, by which the base facade cladding element 2 is fastened to the facade, is applied through the U-shaped profile.
When two successive base facade cladding elements are connected to each other the first tooth 6 of the subsequent base facade cladding element is shifted into the first gutter board 8 of the preceding base facade cladding element which is already fastened to the facade. The depth over which the first tooth is shifted into the first gutter board is dependent upon the width of the base facade cladding element on the one hand and the width of the facade to be clad on the other hand. The first tooth must of course be shifted sufficiently far into the first gutter board in order to achieve an attachment, but it is not necessary for the first tooth to be shifted fully into the first gutter board. When the first tooth has already been shifted over 30 % of its length into the first gutter board a complete attachment is obtained. The length of the tooth determines the distance over which the base facade cladding element is capable of being shifted. For this reason the length of the tooth is then also defined as a percentage of the length of the pattern. Which percentage is chosen, is dependent upon the geometry of the pattern and upon the relationship between the length of the trough and the length of the crest. In this way, with a base facade cladding element with a length of the pattern of 33 mm for example the length of the tooth will amount to 25.85 % of the length of the pattern and with a length of the pattern of 90 mm for example the length of the tooth will amount to 9.1 1 % of the length of the pattern. Fig. 3 shows a coupling of a base facade cladding element 2 to a starting facade cladding element 12. The starting facade cladding element 12 has a third longitudinal side 13 which forms part of a second extension piece 17 which continues the pattern there and which comprises a second facade attachment means 14. The second extension piece 17 is provided with a second gutter board 18 which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth 6. The first and second facade attachment means 4, 14 have a same configuration. The second gutter board 18 is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth 6 is capable of being shifted in and out. The starting facade cladding element 12 additionally comprises a fourth longitudinal side 15 which is provided with a third facade attachment means 19. The third facade attachment means comprises an attachment member 19' to which a covering cap 20 is applied. The covering cap is in the form of a crest of the pattern so as to follow in this way the recurring pattern. The covering cap is preferably clipped to the third facade attachment means 19, but it will be clear that other attachment means which shift one into the other are also possible. The covering cap is preferably provided with internal projections 19" which rest against vertical columns of the attachment member 19'.
The starting facade cladding element 12 preferably comprises a fourth extension piece 16 which continues the pattern there with a distance of at most half the length of the pattern. The fourth extension piece preferably comprises the third facade attachment means 19. On the fourth extension piece a first recess 1 1 is further provided which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and is applied in the fourth extension piece adjacent to the third facade attachment means 19 in line with the trough of the pattern and extends towards the fourth longitudinal side.
For the coupling between the base facade cladding element
2 and the starting facade cladding element 12, this latter is first fastened against the facade by means of the second and the fourth facade attachment means 14 and 19. After that, the first tooth 6 of the base facade cladding element 2 is shifted into the second gutter board 18 of the starting facade cladding element 12 by which the two facade cladding elements are connected to each other. The covering cap 20 is then fastened on the attachment member 19', as a result of which the pattern is completed.
Fig. 4 shows a coupling of an end facade cladding element 22 to the base facade cladding element 2. The end facade cladding element 22 is provided with a fifth longitudinal side 23 and with a sixth longitudinal side 25. The fifth longitudinal side 23 is provided with a fourth facade attachment means 24 to which a covering cap 20 is applied. The fourth facade attachment means 24 preferably has the same design as the third facade attachment means 19 but it is formed by a separate component. The fifth longitudinal side 23 is further provided with a third extension piece 27 which continues the pattern there with a distance of at most half the length of the pattern. The fourth facade attachment means 24 is applied to the third extension piece.
The sixth longitudinal side 25 is provided with a second tooth 26, which second tooth has a length of between 6 % and 30 %, in particular between 9 % and 25 %, of the length of the pattern. The second tooth 26 is arranged transversely on the sixth longitudinal side. The first and the second teeth have the same design so that the second tooth of the end facade cladding element 22 fits into a first gutter board of the base facade cladding element 2.
In order to complete the cladding, the second tooth 26 of the end facade cladding element 22 is shifted into the first gutter board 8 of the base fagade cladding element 2. The third extension piece 27 is then pressed against the facade. After that, the fourth facade attachment means 24 is placed against the third extension piece 27 and an anchoring means 9 is applied in the facade through the fourth facade attachment means 24 and the third extension piece 27. Finally, the covering cap 20 is applied to the fourth facade attachment means 24 in order to complete the pattern.
Since facades have to be produced with different dimensions and it makes little sense for one facade cladding to be produced separately for each facade, work is carried out with standardized dimensions for the fagade cladding elements. Nevertheless, in order to clad different facade dimensions, the assembly according to the invention preferably also comprises a filling facade cladding element 32, as shown in fig. 5. That filling facade cladding element 32 is provided with a seventh longitudinal side 33 and an eighth longitudinal side 35, to which seventh longitudinal side is applied a fifth fagade attachment means 34. The latter has a same configuration as the first fagade attachment means.
A fifth extension piece 37', which continues the pattern there with a distance of at most half the length of the pattern, is applied to the eighth longitudinal side 35. A sixth fagade attachment means 37 is applied to the fifth extension piece. That sixth fagade attachment means has a similar configuration to the third fagade attachment means 19, but differs from this latter by the position of the anchoring means 9. The sixth fagade attachment means is provided with a second recess 39 which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and is applied in the continuation of the trough of the pattern and extends towards the eighth longitudinal side 35. The second recess 39 is formed in such a way that the third extension piece 27 can be shifted therein. The seventh longitudinal side 33 forms part of a sixth extension piece 31 which continues the pattern there and comprises the fifth fagade attachment means 34. The sixth extension piece 31 is provided with a third gutter board 38 which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth 6. The third gutter board 38 is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth 6 is capable of being shifted into and out of it. The third gutter board has the same configuration as the first and second gutter boards 8, 18. The filling fagade cladding element 32 preferably cooperates with an end fagade cladding element 22, as illustrated in fig. 5. For the application of a filling fagade cladding element 32, an end fagade cladding element 22 is first applied to a base fagade cladding element and, after that, the second recess 39 is applied to the third extension piece 27 and both are fastened to the fagade. The fifth attachment means 34 is then fastened to the fagade and, after that, the first tooth 6 of a following base fagade cladding element 2 is pressed into the third gutter board 38. Finally, the covering cap 20 is applied to the sixth fagade attachment element.
The use of a filling fagade cladding element also affords advantages when replacing one or more damaged fagade cladding elements. By occasionally incorporating a filling fagade cladding element in the fagade cladding it is possible to remove it in a simple manner. To this end it is sufficient for the covering cap 20 of the filling fagade cladding element 32 to be detached and removed, so as to provide access to the sixth fagade attachment means 37. As a result of this latter also being removed, the end fagade cladding element 22 is released and it can be removed by moving the second tooth 26 out of the first gutter board. The removal of the end fagade cladding element 22 leaves room for detaching the fagade cladding elements which are situated to the left of the end fagade cladding element 22 since the first fagade attachment means 4 is now exposed. In this way, it is thus not necessary for the entire fagade cladding to be removed if one element has to be replaced.
As well as straight pieces, the fagade can also of course have corners, for example between a front fagade and a lateral fagade or if the building has a projection or a recess. Fig. 6 shows a clad fagade provided with an external corner and fig. 7 shows a clad fagade provided with a re-entrant corner. In order to allow the fagade cladding to continue beyond the corner without disrupting the continuity of the recurring pattern, the assembly according to the invention preferably comprises a corner fagade cladding element 42 for an external corner and a corner facade cladding element 52 for a re-entrant corner. The corner facade cladding element 42, 52 is provided with a first limb (A, C) which comprises a ninth longitudinal side 45 and a second limb (B, D) which comprises a tenth longitudinal side 43. The ninth longitudinal side 45 is provided with a seventh facade attachment means 40 which is covered with the covering cap 20. The seventh fagade attachment means 40 has the same configuration as the sixth fagade attachment means 37. This latter is mounted on the starting fagade cladding element in the same way as the covering cap. The tenth longitudinal side 43 is provided with an eighth fagade attachment means 44 which has the same design as the first fagade attachment means 4.
For the coupling between the end fagade cladding element 22 and the adjacent corner fagade cladding element 42 or 52 the ninth longitudinal side 45 is provided with a third recess 49 which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern. The seventh fagade attachment means 40 is applied in line with the trough of the pattern and extends towards the ninth longitudinal side. The third recess 49 is formed in such a way that the third extension piece 27 can be shifted therein. The tenth longitudinal side 43 forms part of a seventh extension piece 47 which continues the pattern and comprises the eighth fagade attachment means 44. The seventh extension piece 47 is provided with a fourth gutter board 48 which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth 6. With respect to dimensions and design the fourth gutter board is similar to the first gutter board. The fourth gutter board 48 is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth 6 can be shifted into and out of it.
The external corner fagade cladding element 42 is preferably provided with a crest from the sequence of which a raising flank is situated in line with the sixth fagade attachment means and forms the connection between the corner limbs A and B. The inner corner fagade cladding element 52 is preferably formed in such a way that a connection between the corner limbs C and D is formed by a connection of two troughs from the sequence.
For the application of a corner fagade cladding element 42 or 52 the eighth fagade attachment means 44 is fastened to the fagade. After that, the first tooth 6 of the base fagade cladding element 2 is shifted into the fourth gutter board. Part of the end fagade cladding element 22, namely the one formed by the crest and the trough with the third extension piece 27 thereof, is then applied by shifting the third extension piece 27 into the third recess 49 and shifting the second tooth
26 into the first gutter board. Finally an attachment member 9 is applied through the seventh attachment means 40 and the third extension piece
27 in order to fasten them both against the fagade. After that, the covering cap 20 is applied. By using the tooth and the gutter board on one side and since the third extension piece 27 can be shifted into the third recess, an adjustment to the dimension of the fagade is possible and it can be provided that the corner between the corner limbs coincides with the corner in the fagade, without the continuity of the pattern being disrupted.
It is preferable for a trough and a crest to be incorporated in the corner fagade cladding element 42 or 52 between the ninth and the tenth longitudinal side so that this trough forms the corner in the case of an inner corner and the crest forms the corner in the case of an external corner. As a result, a better finish is achieved and it is provided that a trough is always present in a re-entrant corner and a crest is always present for an external corner.
Fagades comprise openings for windows and doors and it is therefore necessary to take this into consideration when cladding the fagade. At the level of an opening of this type the fagade cladding element according to the invention then also has to be sawn in order to free the opening. Since the sawing can be carried out at any place in the profile, the assembly according to the invention preferably comprises a first and a second opening connection profile 50, 60, as illustrated in figs. 8, 9, 10 and 1 1 . The first or the second opening connection profile 50, 60 respectively is formed each time by a masking part 51 , 61 that masks an interruption in the pattern at the level of the opening.
The opening connection profiles 50, 60 are preferably provided with further attachment means 52, 62 in order to be fastened in a frame of the opening in the facade. The masking parts are then fastened to these further attachment means. For mounting the opening connection profiles the further attachment means 52, 62 are fastened in the frame of the opening. The facade cladding elements are then sawn in such a way that the saw cut 55, 57 is close to the further attachment means. The masking parts are then fastened to the further attachment means in order to mask the saw cut.
For attaching an assembly according to the invention the distance of the facade to be clad is first measured. This distance is then divided by the length of the pattern. If a whole number results from this division, then the facade cladding elements can be applied without any more. If a whole number and a fraction of a whole number result, then this fraction is distributed over the distance by the shift of the tooth into the gutter board.
The facade cladding elements according to the invention are preferably produced from aluminium and are preferably obtained by extrusion. The invention is not, however, limited to aluminium as a material, and other materials, such as plastics material, wood or glass, are also possible.
Fig. 12 shows another embodiment of a facade cladding element according to the invention. In this embodiment the crests are narrower than the troughs. The first gutter board 78 and the first tooth 76 are applied to the rear side of the element and are shifted with respect to the trough. The first facade attachment element 74 is likewise applied to the rear side of the element and is shifted with respect to the trough. Although the profile is symmetrical in the embodiments of Figs. 2 and 12, asymmetrical designs are also possible.
Fig. 13 shows an embodiment in which the base facade cladding element 72 has an asymmetrical pattern. In this design, however, a first tooth 76 and a first gutter board 78 are also provided.

Claims

1 . An assembly of facade cladding elements (1 ) which, when applied to a facade, have a repeatedly recurring pattern which forms a sequence of troughs (d) and crests (t), the assembly comprising :
- at least one base facade cladding element (2) which is provided with a first longitudinal side (3) to which is applied a first facade attachment means (4), and with a second longitudinal side (5), and the pattern of which has a pattern length (pi),
- a starting facade cladding element (12) which is provided with a third longitudinal side (13) and a fourth longitudinal side (15), wherein the third longitudinal side (13) is provided with a second facade attachment means (14) and wherein the fourth longitudinal side (15) is provided with a third facade attachment means (19), wherein a covering cap (20) is applied to the fourth longitudinal side (15), and
- an end facade cladding element (22) which is provided with a fifth longitudinal side (23) and a sixth longitudinal side (25), wherein a fourth facade attachment means (24) and a covering cap (20) are applied to the fifth longitudinal side (23),
characterized in that
for the coupling between a base facade cladding element (2, 62) and an adjacent facade cladding element (2, 12, 22, 32, 42, 52, 63, 72) the second longitudinal side (5) of the base facade cladding element (2) is provided with a first tooth (6, 66, 76), which first tooth (6, 66, 76) has a length of between 6 % and 30 %, in particular between 9 % and 25 %, of the length of the pattern, which first tooth is situated transversely to the second longitudinal side, and wherein the first longitudinal side (3) forms part of a first extension piece (7) which continues the pattern there and comprises the first facade attachment means (4), which first extension piece (7) is provided with a first gutter board (8, 68, 78) which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth, and wherein the first gutter board (8, 68, 78) and the first tooth (6, 66, 76) are formed and applied in such a way that they are capable of being shifted one into the other,
for the coupling between a base facade cladding element and the start facade cladding element (12) the third longitudinal side (13) forms part of a second extension piece (17) which continues the pattern and comprises the second facade attachment means (14), which second extension piece (17) is provided with a second gutter board (18) which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth (6, 66, 76), and wherein the second gutter board (18) is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth is capable of being shifted in and out,
- for the coupling between a base fagade cladding element and the end facade cladding element (22) the sixth longitudinal side (25) is provided with a second tooth (26), which second tooth (26) has a length of between 6 % and 30 %, in particular between 9 % and 25 %, of the length of the pattern, which second tooth (26) is situated transversely on the sixth longitudinal side, and wherein the fifth longitudinal side (23) is provided with a third extension piece (27) which continues the pattern there at a distance of at most half of the length of the pattern, and wherein the fourth facade attachment means (24) is applied to the third extension piece.

The assembly according to claim 1 , characterized in that the start fagade cladding element (12) comprises a fourth extension piece (16) which continues the pattern there at a distance of at most half of the length of the pattern, which fourth extension piece comprises the third fagade attachment means (19), which assembly is further provided with a first recess (1 ) which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and in the fourth extension piece adjacent to the third fagade attachment means (19) is applied in the length of the trough of the pattern and extends towards the fourth longitudinal side.
3. The assembly according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it further comprises at least one filling fagade cladding element (32) which is provided with a seventh longitudinal side (33) and an eighth longitudinal side (35), to which seventh longitudinal side a fifth facade attachment means (34) is applied and to which eighth longitudinal side a fifth extension piece is applied which continues the pattern there at a distance of at most half of the length of the pattern and wherein a sixth facade attachment means (37) is applied to the fifth extension piece, which sixth facade attachment means is provided with a second recess (39) which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and is applied adjacent to the fifth facade attachment means (19) in line with the trough of the pattern and extends towards the eighth longitudinal side, wherein the second recess (39) is formed in such a way that the third extension piece is applied in a manner capable of being shifted therein, and wherein the seventh longitudinal side (33) forms part of a sixth extension piece (31 ) which continues the pattern there and comprises the fifth fagade attachment means (34), which sixth extension piece (31 ) is provided with a third gutter board (38) which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth (6), and wherein the third gutter board (38) is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth (6) can be shifted in and out of it.
4. The assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it further comprises at least one corner facade cladding element (42) which is provided with a first corner limb (A) which comprises a ninth longitudinal side (45) and a second corner limb (B) which comprises a tenth longitudinal side (43), wherein the ninth longitudinal side (45) is provided with a seventh facade attachment means (40) which is covered by a covering cap (20), and wherein the tenth longitudinal side (43) is provided with a eighth facade attachment means (44), and wherein for the coupling between the end facade cladding element (22) and the adjacent corner facade cladding element (42) the ninth longitudinal side (45) is provided with a third recess (49) which has a length of at least a quarter of the length of the pattern and is applied at the seventh facade attachment means (41) in line with the trough of the pattern and extends towards the ninth longitudinal side, wherein the third recess (49) is formed in such a way that the third extension piece can be applied in a manner as to be shifted therein, and wherein the tenth longitudinal side (43) forms part of a seventh extension piece (47) which continues the pattern and comprises the eighth facade attachment means (44), which seventh extension piece (47) is provided with a fourth gutter board (48) which has a depth which is at least equal to the length of the first tooth (6), and wherein the fourth gutter board (48) is formed and applied in such a way that the first tooth (6) is applied in a manner as to be shifted in and out.
5. The assembly according to claim 4, characterized in that the corner facade cladding element (42) is an external corner facade cladding element with a crest from the sequence of which one raising flank is present in line with the sixth facade attachment means and forms the connection between the corner limbs.
6. The assembly according to claim 4, characterized in that the corner facade cladding element (42) is an inner corner facade cladding element, wherein the connection between the corner limbs is formed by a connection of two troughs from the sequence.
7. The assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the facade attachment means are covered either by the covering cap (20) or by a crest of the pattern.
8. The assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the first, second, fifth and seventh facade attachment means is formed by the juxtaposition of the gutter board and a U-shaped profile, wherein the gutter board is applied at a right angle to a limb of the U-shaped profile.
9. The assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises at least one first opening connection profile (50) and one second opening connection profile (60) which are capable of being inserted into an opening in the facade, and wherein the first opening connection profile (50) and the second opening connection profile (60) respectively are each formed by a masking part (51 , 61 ) in order to mask an interruption in the pattern at the level of the opening.
10. The assembly according to claim 9, characterized in that the opening connection profiles are provided with further attachment means in order to be fastened in a frame of the opening in the facade.
1 1 . The assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pattern is applied to the base fagade cladding element in a symmetrical manner.
12. The assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the pattern is applied to the base facade cladding element in an asymmetrical manner.
13. A method of attaching an assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the distance of the facade to be clad is measured and is then divided by the length of the pattern, and if a whole number and a fraction of a whole number occur during this division this fraction is distributed over the distance by shifting the tooth into the gutter board.
